Hi guys!
Sorry for the lack of updates. My initial plan was to post every 20ish days. So the first chapter was on the 4th of November and the second chapter was on the 24th of November. Meaning the third chapter would be on the 14th of December. However, there is a certain predicament with that day.

Since it's my birthday on the 14th aka tomorrow.

So been a bit busy as you can imagine, especially with Christmas preparations on tp of that.

and school, F school.

Anyways, I have a plan for the next chapter. written notes on it and am planning future chapters too. With update 1.2 coming up later this month I realised that I'll need to start pumping out new chapters to keep up to date with the game.

I want my story to feel progressive with the game's development.

This, however, means I'll need to also do all the content from the new updates and so forth. (I haven't done the new main quest, is that bad?)

I also need to read up on BNHA, so I can get a broader view of the world. (I read up to the Overhaul arc, didn't get to the festival and the manga wasn't that far at the time.) Need to know what the fandom's deal with Hawks, been seeing him around a lot and I barely know anything about him outside of what fanfics provided.

So yeah, a lot of catching up to do but luckily it's not that a lot of chapters. And I'll only read up to the UFJ arc. So I can write up the first few chapters before moving on to season 2.

Why am I writing this? Well, I just got a lot of nice reviews, 100+ likes and follows and I didn't want to leave you guys hanging.

Mei can take full control but will prefer to return back to normal to voice her opinions unless the character is involved in the conversation or the situation is too dire to risk changing. It's the same for the characters, Mei will allow them to take full reign for them to familiarise themselves with the new world and the people in it. Especially for those who have more life experience, don't want Klee having full reign with their bombs. I'm still figuring out how I'll do this writing-wise, either behavioural differences or indicating when they switch with names or physical features. Maybe a mental conversation before the switch? I'm still working on it. I'm not a writing expert. And as for the jojo reference. Haha... I don't watch jojo but i did watch JOJO but really really fast multiple times, I have a friend who's a big Jojo fan and I'm fully aware of the jojo references in Genshin Impact. Sorry to deceive you. (I will put the explanation in a separate paragraph for those who didn't bother to read the replies)

prisontaker : Thank you! I think the premise is more often found with Ben 10. But the aliens don't have character outside of behaviour and appearance that Ben projects through. I tried to explain the Genshin World multiple times in my drafts but it wasn't well written so I decided to forgo the whole explanation. I might make it a Omake, extra or prologue. Or just a flashback. Not really sure. For now I'll be trying to explain it slowly and as simple as possible. Next chapter will provide a broader view on how it works.

To end this off, here are some more information on how this fic will work that I probably won't be able to explain in the fic.

A warning I forgot to input in the last chapter at the end. As this is essentially an SI-OC the characters I'll be utilising will be biased as I have my own preferences. I'm a husband main so I'll be leaning more on using the guys than the girls. But I'll be sure to use them, there is a word for it but my brain can't think rn. I don't want to leave any characters from Genshin out and want them to be implemented in scenarios, character interactions and such.

This story is free to use as then other writers can write their own bias which would appeal to those who share their bias.

To add to my bias, I don't mind spoilers usually but Genshin Impact had been such experience that I'm trying to avoid them. So my understanding of a few characters may be a bit off as I won't know them very well from lack of in-game information. such as friendship level and the character gacha blocking characters and their info. But I will research a bit for some characters when needed.

P.S. I skipped Childe for Zhongli. Pulled 85 times for Zhongli. Got Diluc instead. I am very emotionally conflicted but at least I'm set for Dragonspine. Speaking of 1.2, what do you guys think of Albedo? I think he's super cool (He draws!) but his fighting style is underwhelming and doesn't appeal to me. So I'll be saving my primogems for a future character. Maybe Xiao? I don't know. He might get nuked when he comes out and the fact that he loses health with his burst concerns me as I get hit a lot. And he's like a tsun? Having a hard time to see the appeal but as he is a husband I will get him one day.
