Her eyes snapped open, in shock, that hadn't happened right, he was still here, right? He didn't just do that for her, right? She sat up in bed, sweating, it had been a while after they last had a decent conversation, and maybe that's why she had dreamt that.

She swung her legs out of the bed, making sure not to wake the sleeping Robin next to her, and tiptoed her way out of the girls' room. Feeling the night air on her face, she looked up to see the light in the crow's nest was still on, the faint clanking of metal was heard, signifying Zoro was lifting weights, or working out. Not wanting him to suddenly hear her, she tiptoed as quietly as possible down the stairs and onto the lawn.

Her attempt would have gone by smoothly, if not for the fact that she suddenly slipped on the wet grass, and landed on her butt. The clanking stopped, and she looked up to the crow's nest to see if she could see Zoro's face from the window.

Zoro had heard the thump, and he put down the weight to look out the window, on seeing it was just Nami, he shrugged, had it been Robin that would have been a different story, but he did wonder on what she was doing up so late. Thinking about asking her about it later, he made his way back to his weights, and added another ring to each side of it, before lifting it up again, with his legs this time.

Nami heard the clanking of metal again, and slowly got up from her unfortunate seat on the grass. Her butt was wet, she was sure, but she still had to make sure that he was okay. It wasn't that she wasn't confident he was, she just wanted to make sure. She tiptoed over to the boys' dorm, and opened it quietly, thankful that Franky always made sure that there wasn't a single creek, or splinter on the ship, she made her way over to his hammock.

Annoyed that he had to be in the middle, and a top one for that matter, she tiptoed over to the edge of it, and peeked over. She could see his black hair, and his eyes shut, snoring softly. His hat was clutched it his left hand over his chest, and even though she was absolutely certain he was fine, she moved to the side, standing on tiptoes the whole time, and carefully lifted his straw hat off his chest. There wasn't any other scar than the one he had gotten during the War of the Best on his chest, and she was grateful. However, she suddenly felt sad again, seeing that X-shape covering most of his torso.

That's when he had suffered the most, and she wasn't there to comfort him, to make sure he was alright, like she was doing now. He was hurting then, and she couldn't do anything about it. Carefully, she rubbed her fingers against the soft tissue, and she felt her hot tears beginning to run down her cheeks.

Her shaking, must have shaken his hammock, and she heard, "Nami?" almost in her ear. She looked up, into his eyes, nearly glowing from the moonlight shining through the door she forgot to close. His eyes were compassionate, "Are you crying?" he asked, "What's wrong?"

She surprised him by suddenly hugging him around the torso, the sudden action made the hammock shake and he fell off the hammock, backwards. She was still hugging his torso, as they were collapsed on the ground, his hat still gripped in her hand.

"Nami?" He asked, bringing his arm up to hug her back.

"I'm sorry," she choked out, barely above a whisper.

She held him tighter, her dream recollecting in her mind. She couldn't remember who he was fighting, but suddenly he was stabbed straight through his heart, a giant gaping hole in his chest as the sword was drawn back, covered in his red blood. He fell, and she was there, running to help him, save him. She had grabbed onto his hand, in hopes of feeling his still beating pulse, but it wasn't there. She didn't even have a chance to tell him what had been aching on her heart, the reason why she kissed him so many times. He was dead, lifeless. A smile still on his face, after he had said that he was sorry, before she had gotten there.

She started shaking again as she was crying, and felt his grip just tighten on her. No need for words, no need to tell him that she was in fear of his death. No need to tell him she wanted to comfort him after his brother died. His tightened grip on her was as if he was telling her everything was gonna be fine. That he was going to be fine, and she had nothing to worry about. That they were going to be fine. That he was going to be Pirate King, and he wouldn't die before that.

They were on the floor beside the hammocks, it was a wonder that no one else had woken up. His legs were sprawled on either side of her, as she gripped his torso for dear life. Her face buried in his chest, her legs curled the side underneath her. His arms wrapping comfortingly around her. After her tears had stopped, and she felt a whole ton better, she looked up into his eyes, and gently placed the hat onto his head.

"Thank you, Luffy," she smiled, though her cheeks were stained with tears.

He smiled back a gentle smile, and combed his fingers through her hair, "You okay?"

It wasn't like he thought she wasn't, it was more like he wanted to admit that she was good now.

"Yeah, now." Nami answered, before she adjusted herself, and hugged his neck, "now." she muttered against his shoulder.

His hands were loosely around her now, and she felt his head nod. She wanted to kiss him, but she knew now wasn't the time. They stayed like that for a little longer. Comfortable in each other's grasps. She tightened her grip on him any time he tried to get up. So he still let her hug him, as he kept his lose grip on her, if she wanted to leave, he'd let her. If she wanted to stay, he'd letter. After all she was his nakama, she was Nami, and he didn't want her to leave until she gained back her smile.
