Chapter 4

A wonderful year had passed with the two lovers. Nyx wraps her arms around Mihawk's neck. "My love return to me soon." She whispers into his ear.

A ghost of a smile on his lips. "I shall return to you and our child soon." He told her as his hand moved towards her swollen belly. Mihawk knells down towards her belly. "Take care of your momma while I'm gone." He tells the unborn child as he presses his lips on her belly.

Nyx giggles at his antics. "My love. He isn't born yet and how will he protect me?" She asked him with a teasing smile on her lips.

His golden eyes look up at her. "He protects you by making sure your never alone while I'm gone. As well as he is also a part of me. A drive to keep me fighting and keep my from falling to any wannabe swordsmen that come my way. Even foolish Marines that believe they can beat me in any skills." He tells her capturing her lips with his own.

Nyx leaned into his kiss as her arms wrapped tighter around his neck. They pulled apart as he stole her breath away. "You best go before we end up back in the bedroom." She told him with a cheeky grin on her face.

"Aye my love." Said Mihawk with a smile on his face. But only if he knew this would be the very last time, he would see his love.

Nyx waved him off as she turned around and narrowed her eyes towards the forest around the island that surrounds the ancient Castle, they call their home. "Come out." Hisses out Nyx as her silver eyes flashed emerald.

A man with long black hair with a black suit with a white tie steps out of the shadows. "Well Nyx. It has been a while and it appears you have set up a nice little life for yourself here." He said with a dark chuckle.

"I am happy for once Dante. I have made a life away from you bastards." Hissed out Nyx with hatred in her eyes and voice.

"Oh, my dear little Nyx. You can never leave the family. Father has request you to return home. For the daughter of Hades needs to know her place and take her place where she is needed." Said Dante with a larger grin on his face.

"I do not care what father thinks and wants me to do. I am married and I am going to have a child soon with my husband." Said Nyx as her hand wrapped around her swollen belly.

"Father told me sister. If you refuse to return to kill your unborn child." Dante told her as he pulled out a vile of poison. "It will kill the child. But you will live." He said as he took a step closer to her.

Her eyes widen in horror. "Fine. I will return with you. But I will need about a day before I can travel. I need to handle some business here before I am able to leave." Said Nyx as she hoped this will buy her some time as she knew her Captain is near by as he called her the night before to come and visit and gifts for the baby.

Dante crossed his arms over his chest. "I shall give you that day. But know this sister. If you run…the hounds of hell will not keep father from coming for you." He told her as he vanished back into the forest.

Nyx placed a hand over her racing heart as she quickly made her way towards the Castle. She needed to call Shanks and tell him to move his ass to get here now. She needed his help.

Once back home she locked the doors once more behind her and ran to her bedroom where a sleeping snail slept. She picked it up and dialed a number. One of the very few numbers she knew by heart.

'Hello this is the handsome Red-Hair Shanks speaking." Said Shanks as the snail mirrored his goofy grin on his face.

"Shanks this isn't the time to play around." Growled out Nyx.

Shanks froze on the other end as he knew that tone of voice. "Nyx-chan what's wrong?" He asked with worry in his voice as Benn put down his book that he was reading.

"I need you to get here. I need you here now. Dante is here." Said Nyx as tears rolled down her cheek.

"What! How? How did he find the island. Not even the Marines know about Mihawk's island." Said Shanks with fear in the tone of his voice.

"I don't know. But he wants to kill my baby if I do not agree to go with him. This order has come down from Hades himself." Said Nyx as now tears roll down her cheeks.

"Where is Mihawk?" Question Shanks as he is shocked that Dante is still alive and hasn't gone for Hades yet.

"The government has called him away. I can't call him back. If he doesn't go. They will arrest him. For he hasn't gone to several meetings in the past 8 months." Said Nyx as she knew why Shanks was asking her.

"Don't worry. We will be there by midnight. We will dock in the hidden bay. Meet us there and we will spirit you away." Said Shanks with a sad smile on his face.

"Thank you, Shanks." Said Nyx as she hung up and got a bag ready. She wrote a letter to her beloved husband. She put it in his safe and vanished into the night to never be sent against.

I am leaving off there for this story will be coming to an end soon. Maybe another story will be born from it.
