Just some ideas I'll have put in here, and the ones that I feel get the most reception will be written into a full-time story.

The fal'Cie act as the gods of the Elemental Nations. Occasionally, they create l'Cie to act out their will. During an enemy attack, Naruto & company act to defend their home & their god.
