A little later then I planned but Enjoy and Review!
"Dumbledore?" As in Albus Dumbledore, the Headmaster of our new school?!" asked Harry, now really excited.
Miss Aurora smiled, "Yes, he's my Uncle. Though I did attend "Beauxbations" which is another good wizarding school, in France."
"Why?" asked the boy, according to Hagrid, Hogwarts was the best.
The teacher hummed, "There were many reasons but I chose Beauxbations to be closer to my mom who lived there"
A look of longing and understanding came into his eyes, "I get that. Is she still around?"
Miss Aurora shook her head, "No, she – ah, passed away a few years ago. Which is why I came back to England and became part of the Hogwarts' tutoring program, it's a lot nearer to my Dad"
The boy found he could definitely identify with her. If their parents were still alive, he'd want to be close too. In the meantime, he was just grateful Lucy was going to be going with him instead of staying at the Dursleys like she had.
"Speaking of Hogwarts…" Miss Aurora now addressed his sister, "Lucy you wrote that you had received an enrollment letter and you've accepted this time?"
"Yes, given the changing circumstances, I thought it was the right thing"
"Very noble of you. Just know, if you need anything? I'm only a bird and floo call away"
"Thank you, Miss Aurora. You didn't have to come all the way out here just to say that though. I'm sure you had plenty of things to do getting ready for the new school year. An owl would have serviced"
The woman shook her head, "Oh posh! When will you learn Lucy that you are important too? I didn't just literally pack up the class and bring school to you on the days your relatives were being outrageously stupid – Excuse me, for nothing. Plus, there are others who heard the news and wanted to Congratulate and say "Goodbye" to you in person"
Lucy's face immediately lit up," Really? They're here?! You didn't?"
"Didn't what?" asked Harry, curious to what his sister was now getting excited about.
Miss Aurora walked over to the discarded suitcase and knocked on its side. The boy then jumped as the lid popped open revealing a pair of hands and new faces. Two teenage girls started climbing out. Actually, the taller of them was giving the other a piggyback ride.
"Midnight! Mary Jane!" Lucy ran over giving the two each a hug once they were both on the ground separate. "I thought I wasn't going to see you guys again before-"
"Like we would miss out seeing you in person before going off to Hogwarts" smirked the small straight black-haired girl silvery-grey eyes.
"Yeah, Congratulations Lucy. But are you sure you want to go there now?" asked the other with light sandy brown hair and jaded green eyes.
"It's the right time, Mary Jane" answered Lucy, gesturing to her brother, capturing their attention. But unlike the crowded Pub in Diagon Alley, girls approached him cautiously while at the same time, friendly.
"Hi Harry," said the one closer to his size, "It's nice to finally meet you. Your sister has certainly told us enough."
"Lucy told you?"
"Your fame is well known, even to us. But that's not what we care about. We're kinda the Misfits of the Wizarding realm."
"Misfits?"
"We don't fit into the typical mold of what you'd expect from a witch. We've got a little something…. else in our DNA as well."
"Really? What is it?" Harry asked before remembering his manners, "I'm sorry but, em who are you?"
"Mary Jane Longbottom, Mr. Potter" answered the tall girl,
"And I am Midnight Black said the other.
Harry blushed, "You don't have to address me as "Mr. Potter" Mary Jane, I am going to be getting enough of that at school."
"Alright…Harry. To answer your question, both Midnight and I have some creature blood in us"
Midnight pulled her hair back to reveal her large pointy ears and her long gnarly fingers, "I'm part goblin"
The boy looked from her to Mary Jane, "I'm a Werewolf"
"Bloody Hell! That's awesome!"
"Harry… where did you hear those words?" Lucy questioned him.
"In Diagon Alley"
"Harry you're old enough not to repeat everything you hear. Don't use them all the time"
"Yes Ma'am"
"Harry," said Mary Jane, with some sadness in her eyes. "Being a Werewolf is not all that great, like in the movies or books. It's a painful disease which effects both your body and your mind."
The boy winced, "Sorry"
"It's alright, you didn't know."
Then wanting to change the subject, he looked back over at Miss Aurora and asked a question. "So, What's Dumbledore really like? Hagrid was excited to tell me things from his point of view"
To his surprise, the teacher looked down. "I've never met him, Harry."
"Never met-?"
"He and my Father don't really get along. It started a long time ago before I was born."
"Kind of like Mom and Petunia?"
"Sort of," Lucy put in, not wanting to get into the recently discovered Dumbledore family history.
Harry's eyes went to the open suitcase "You all were hiding in that? How? That should not be possible."
"Magic Harry, just like your new steamer trunk. Only this is more mobile. There's an actual classroom down there. Where we can sit, study and be taught" said Midnight
"Add that and magical Time turner and I'm all caught up with my classes," his sister confirmed.
"A Time What?"
"Turner, Harry. It allows you to go back a certain amount of time during your day. Miss Aurora has one which we used frequently when Uncle Vernon was being stubborn and not sending me to "treatment" with extra chores to do. It works as long as you don't let yourself be seen which was pretty easy. The original time me was downstairs following orders and the time traveling one was here in the Attic inside the suitcase with the others schooling."
"Wicked! So, when that happened, Miss Aurora would simply fly over here as a bird with the suitcase, find you and use the time turner?"
"Precisely,"
"And Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon never knew?"
"Nope, but now that you know? Please don't say anything."
"I won't, I like the idea of keeping something from them for a change" he said with a smile before dropping it. "Treatment? You actually went somewhere most of the time?"
"Yes, Harry" said Mary Jane, "Midnight and I live in an old hospital just outside of town. The people who run it, let us and Miss Aurora use their basement."
The boy's eyes widened, "You don't live with your parents?"
"I'm an Orphan," said Midnight, "While Mary Jane's family likes to ignore her and pretend, she doesn't exist because of her "illness". It reflects badly on their family name"
"That's awful!" exclaimed Harry with empathy, having been told that several times by their own relatives.
"It is…Alright, enough with the heavy. We didn't come just to say "Hi" and wish you well, reminiscing over the past" remarked Midnight as her face lit up with a bright smile. "Lucy, we got the paperwork to fill out our Animagus Registration forms!"
"You're bloomin' joking! I thought we had to wait until next year?"
"I pulled a string or two at the Ministry, with Madame Bones" said Miss Aurora.
"THANK YOU!" all three girls said at the same time, leaving Harry bewildered.
"You're Welcome," answered their teacher, "But this gift does come with temporary conditions until you are seventeen. 1. With the possible exception of the Full Moon. Which I'm assuming is why the two of you-" she broke off looking at Lucy and Midnight. "-wanted to do this?" They nodded as Mary Jane blushed embarrassingly. "You are only supposed to transform in an emergency. Like if your life or the lives of others are in danger. Do you understand?"
"Yes, Ma'am"
"This is a big responsibility but I told her you could handle it. Please don't prove me wrong."
"We won't!" They promised,
"Hold on?" asked Harry, "Animagus forms?"
"An Animagus is a witch or wizard with the ability to change into an animal at will unlike a Werewolf. Miss Aurora is one hence her bird form: the blue Macaw. Forms…? Well you know how Uncle Vernon can drive a car?" He nodded, "Well Vernon had to learn and take a test in order to do that. He obviously passed, but he also had to write down on an important piece of paper that he did along with his name and personal information, like How old he was? and Where he lived? Before sending it off to the authorities so he could get approved and be allowed to drive on the road." His sister explained.
"Oh! So, this "form" will allow you to turn into an animal in public?"
"Certain publics, no muggles. But yes"
"Awesome! What are your Animals?"
"I'm a Capuchin monkey," answered Midnight, shifting into the adorable little creature that crawled up Harry's pant leg, up his arm where she came to sit on his shoulder with her furry end tail curling around his neck, causing the boy to giggle.
"What about you, Lucy?"
His sister shook her head, "I'm kind of a bigger animal. There wouldn't be enough room if I changed here, and the sound would definitely echo across the squeaky floorboards alerting Dudley and we don't want that."
"Why? He can't climb up here, the ladder would break under his weight."
"Harry!"
...
The group of friends and their teacher talked for about another twenty minutes before the sound of a car pulling in the driveway was heard.
"Time to go children," said Miss Aurora as she reopened the suitcase.
"Ahh!" They exclaimed, as Midnight jumped down and switched forms. After one last hug both girls disappeared back inside.
"Promise to write?" "Always," Lucy promised as the lid shut.
"Now, before I forget" said her teacher, as she handed Lucy golden colored box. "Your wand's in there, kept it safe. Like I promised. Hopefully now, you'll be able to use it more"
"Thanks, Miss Aurora" "Anytime, and Good Luck to you both" she said with a smile before resuming her bird form. Flying around the room once, picking up the suitcase and out the window.
"Well, that was a magical afternoon" stated Harry as the banging and pounding of the ceiling started.
"BOY! GIRL! Get down here at once! And bring in the bags!"
The sibling sighed, "YES Aunt Petunia!"
"Just two more days to go… Just 2 more days…"
