Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Goblin and the spider. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Spiderman, Marvel and Disney do.
Hobgoblin left the group of thieves to be arrested as he gunned the glider up and into the roof. He was quite curious as to what he wanted to do next. Hobgoblin looked down at the duo while he was preoccupied. He decided to call it a day as he turned and hightailed it while the sun was still dipping.
"Hmm… There's more crimes and it's getting more and more common…" Hobgoblin stated as he hovered over the city. "Someone has to be behind this. Some people might be stupid, but their not 'I'm going to fight Spider-Man' stupid." Hobgoblin muttered to himself before deciding to go home.
He needed time to check the gear and continue to make sure that he wouldn't have any issues tomorrow when he went on another crime fighting spree.
Hobgoblin didn't know S.H.I.E.L.D was after him. There was nothing he could really realize anyway; he was a superhero. How could he know that someone was after him when he was new to think? Hobgoblin was quite happy and hummed.
He crossed his arms as the glider drove him through the city while he looked around. Hobgoblin racked his brain and started to ponder what was behind this new wave of crime.
"Oy… Who has the pull to try something like this?" Hobgoblin said as he continued to fly through the city. "It has to be someone smart, someone with the resources to sweep this under the rug." Hobgoblin stated to himself and brushed off his arms.
He sighed before the glider's turbo kicked in. Hobgoblin thoroughly enjoyed flying through the city. It was far more amusing when it came down to it. Hobgoblin continued to gun down the street as he booked it towards home.
Hobgoblin wanted to stop this… But he didn't know where to start, he was a rookie superhero. He needed allies, he needed friends, he needed help.
(With Fury and Peter)
Fury looked at Spider-Man who hung to the wall. The director of S.H.I.E.L.D cleared his throat and then turned to the side.
"So, this Hobgoblin guy… Isn't evil?" Spider-Man asked with a raised eyebrow. "Because guys with stolen S.H.I.E.L.D tech? They usually aren't good guys." Spider-Man stated as Fury hummed and looked to the side.
"Hobgoblin reached out to your buddy." Fury said and turned to the side. "You know, the one who you said DIDN'T want to be a superhero?" Fury questioned and tapped his fingers on his arms.
Fury got another raised eyebrow from the superhero as he turned to the side. Fury was quite curious about what would happen next as the superheroes played their part when it came time for them to.
"He reached out to Mary Jane?" Spider-Man asked as Fury nodded and leaned back on his desk. "How do you know that?" Spider-Man asked as he crossed his own arms.
"Because she told me he wanted to chat with her." Fury said and then started to walk around his desk. "Hobgoblin doesn't know she's Spider-Woman… You know, alien symbiote superhero who can manhandle you and the others?" Fury questioned and brushed off his desk.
Fury watched his former student's eyes narrow and open, like he was trying to figure out how to focus the information he had gotten… Clearly and without being bogged down by feeling. It didn't work.
"Then MJ…" Spider-Man started to say while Fury held up his hand and then tapped his fingers on the metal.
"Can handle herself like she did when the school got attacked." Fury said while folding his hands and hummed. "The girl's pretty tough, you know that…. Let her handle this… Go back to hero work till you hear different." Fury stated and then turned to the side.
Fury was quite sure that Peter would do something insane. He couldn't blame the kid for being willing to charge after some rookie hero who was close to his friend… But if Peter was smart? He'd allow MJ to handle this herself.
Plus? Fury had ways to track Hobgoblin, the hero wasn't exactly subtle to anyone but the police… And considering the amount of chaos that went on in the big apple? It wasn't so much of a shocker…
Fury hummed and then turned to the look to the side once more. Fury looked at Spider-Man, tenting his fingers together.
"Kid? If MJ was in trouble?" Fury questioned with a raised eyebrow of his own. "Then she'd reach out or I'd tell you myself… Let's see what Hobgoblin does before you make a move… Let her handle this alone." Fury ordered and pushed himself to his feet as he sighed.
Fury sighed and watched Spider-Man throw himself out the window as he looked to the side. Fury hummed and then crossed his fingers behind his back.
He knew Spiderman would come back to this when he came back to this game. He hummed.
