Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Goblin and the spider. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Spiderman, Marvel and Disney do.

Hobgoblin was quick to toss a Pumpkin Bomb as he flew overhead with Spider Woman hitching a ride on his glider.

He watched smoke spew from the grenade. He wasn't trying to kill any of these thugs or cause too much damage. It wasn't like he knew for a fact what's going to happen. These thugs were still after something. Hobgoblin watched Spider Woman slammed into one of the thugs, sending him sprawling.

Hobgoblin leaned on the craft as it slowly flew up and into the sky. Another bomb slowly primed on the craft.

"Just so you know? This superhero thing?" Hobgoblin asked as he turned the glider back towards the fight in question. "Still new to it. Trying not to blow something up! How am I doing so far?" Hobgoblin asked as he hummed and turned to the side.

He watched Spiderwoman knock one of the thugs out with a kick to the face. He watched one of the thugs aim a weapon at him. He cursed and forced the glider to climb into the sky.

"Doing good, Gobs!" Spider Woman stated as she looked at the hero who tossed a new pumpkin bomb which split apart, revealing a net which slammed into the gun wielding thug, flooring him.

'I don't know if this thing is bulletproof… And I DON'T want to find out.' Hobgoblin thought to himself as he looked over the battlefield.

His mask highlighted several thugs, marking each in order of most dangerous. Hobgoblin didn't know if the next pumpkin bomb would be something non-lethal like knockout gas… Or it could be a grenade that would certainly hurt someone.

Then again? He wasn't like Spider Woman who threw one of the thugs to the side before turning to smash into another feet first. Both criminals collapsed as Spider Woman continued dodging through the criminals.

It looked more like a dance or audition then a fight. Hobgoblin didn't have to take a guess to assume that if Spider Woman had fought alone? The outcome would probably not change.

"Why are we fighting these clowns, again?" One of the thugs asked before firing at the spider like hero.

A barrage of lasers melted a taxi behind them as Hobgoblin blinked before dodging a brick flung at his head.

"Did you just throw a BRICK at me?" Hobgoblin asked one of the thugs. "Seriously? I don't even know why I try at times…" Hobgoblin stated before turning the glider around.

Spider Woman kicked one of the thugs into the air… Right as Hobgoblin passed by, almost knocking him off the glider.

"SORRY!" Spider Woman said awkwardly as the goblin themed hero blinked and shook his head.

"It's cool…." Hobgoblin lamely replied, trying to recover and take out the remaining thugs.

He didn't exactly blame that, but his lack of training didn't help him feel in control. He almost questioned how Spider Man had started on this path without getting his butt kicked often.

"Do you know how that thing works?" Spider Woman asked as she backflipped over a salvo of lasers.

"Yeah, just not all the bells and whistles attached." Hobgoblin stated as he tossed the pumpkin bomb which released more smoke, forcing Spider Woman to somersault onto a lamppost. "Why doesn't this mask explain anything?" Hobgoblin asked before stopping his glider.

Spider Woman said nothing at the moment, it wasn't like she had much room to talk considering that she wasn't a veteran hero like Peter was. Speaking of Peter….

"You think Spiderman is going to show up yet?" Hobgoblin asked as he leaned on his glider and looked down upon the battlefield once more. "No offense, I don't know much about this superhero biz at the moment when it comes down to it. Kinda just winging it when it comes down to it, you know?" Hobgoblin said as Spider Woman looked upon the disorganized thugs with interest.

Both heroes watched them slink away towards their get away car as he turned to Spider Woman.

"Do you want to take care of their little wagon, or should I?" Hobgoblin asked, crossing his arms with interest as he blinked and cracked his fingers.

"I'll be right back." Spider Woman stated as she fired off a web towards the car. "I still have more questions, you know." Spider Woman stated to which Hobgoblin was silent.

He gave a shrug and prepared to chase after the thugs if he had to. He was quite interested in how this would be going when another fight came up. There was a bigger play in the works, and they knew that more than anything.

Yes, something had to be done more then anything. They'd deal with when it came down to it. Yeah, more then anything it would rather fun when it came down to it.

"This is going to be insane when it comes down to it, isn't it?" Hobgoblin questioned.

Author Notes

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out next chapter will be longer… Since Hobgoblin isn't a big-time hero yet? I didn't want to show him doing anything big. Next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will show more talking and bonding between Hobgoblin and Spider Woman. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!

P.S: Next chapter will hopefully be 1200 words or such at the moment. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
