Hello everyone! I've finally gotten some inspiration again, and am currently working on chapter fifteen, I have decided that as of now, updates will either be every Monday, or every Monday and Thursday, these two weeks will be trial weeks to see which one works better. As for my other story, A Brother's Promise, that one currently doesn't have an update date yet.

Anyways, onto reviews...

TU4QU0I53T4IAN6L3: In a...way that was a preview for FNAF 4, that however was hinting to something else to do with Leo's past actually. And ya know, I'm actually glad that you were surprised! I was worried that I was being way to obvious about it! And yes, he lived...quite the interesting life while on the streets, lets just say Leo has a very complicated past...

SilentAmbiance: Thank you so much! That's very kind, I'm so glad you liked the chapter! And as for Joey...well, haha, she um, she isn't the most likeable person, and her personality is quite abrasive so I completely understand! More will be revealed about her as time goes on that will (cross my fingers) hopefully change your opinion of her, but even if it doesn't, no worries! And yeah, those two certainly have anger issues, and thank you for the advice! I appreciate it! :)

I own nothing but my characters.

Chapter Fourteen
Of Poker and Suspicions

"Shut up and just leave me alone already!" The night guard said shoving the chicken animatronic away from him.

Well, attempted shoving, the bot didn't actually move until she stepped back herself. Her shoulders drooped down and the others glanced over at the scene.

"Leo..." the chicken trailed with a bit of a whine. Said guard looked up at her from under his bangs with a scowl.

"I am fine. I said I was fine. I have been fine for the past hour!" He protested curling his hand into a fist. All the animatronics were looking at him now, and he felt himself shrink a bit under their gazes.

"You started screaming and crying Leo, just because Bonnie tried to help you up." The bear informed him, and Leo felt his face heating up. He did not like to think of the image of him screaming and crying.

"Can we just drop it? And move on?" He suggested gazing at the table now.

"We can't do that. Not with how you reacted. Is it us? Are you still afraid that we will hurt you?" Chica asked, her eyes wandering over him.

"No. It wasn't. I have no idea what the ^%$% that was." He grumbled, rubbing his face tiredly. He probably shouldn't mention that he had been feeling dizzy for the past hour as well.

"We are just concerned lad, ya don't normally act like that..." the pirate trailed, looking like he wanted to say more, but refrained, Leo glanced at him wondering what else he possibly had to say.

"What? What is it?" He demanded, glancing at all of them. Bonnie as usual was a bit away from the group, shifting his weight from foot to foot. Leo watched him a moment longer then he did the others before turning back to Foxy.

The red bot did the same as his rabbit comrade, shifting from foot to foot, "Well...I mean ya don't cry, ya didn't even cry when we were hunting ya down. So it's just concernin'." The pirate continued

"It's fine, it was a freak and random thing. I don't even know what happened. Okay?" He glanced between them making sure they all knew he was being serious.

Leo did not want them to know how freaked out he actually was about that whole situation. How his heart still beat quickly in his chest, he was trembling vaguely and he could only hope they didn't notice.

"Okay. If you say so Leo." Freddy spoke first, breaking the silence, the guard looked up at him and took a breath.

"Where are the other two?" He asked turning to look around and for the other humans.

"They left before we came and found you, the woman...Joey, she said she needed to get parts for Foxy." Chica summarized and Leo nodded resting his forehead on the table. He was tired...he didn't want to move or do anything. His body was still shaking, and he wasn't sure if it was because he was still afraid, or he needed drugs…

Or if he was just hungry.

With a shake of his head he dismissed it. He wasn't hungry, he was already overweight enough.

It was probably because of fear, yeah, he was still afraid...and $#%$ he really needed a smoke.

But he had already burned through the pack Jack had given him that morning. Though luckily the cleaner would be coming in soon.

Leo just wanted to be left alone, he knew they were concerned, and he knew that they wanted to help him. But help him with what? He didn't even know what had happened. He didn't know what that episode was, or why he still felt a surge of fear when he thought back on that shadowy figure that had taken the place of Bonnie.

Part of him just wanted to curl up and hide, hide away from the world and everything in it. He was tired, tired of everything. He was homeless, worked in a job he was barely making any money at. The guard was constantly feeling cravings, he was just tired, tired of life itself. If only someone had told him just how exhausting it was to live.

"Do you want anything? Something to eat? Drink?" the chicken asked and Leo glanced up at her out of the corner of his eye.

"...can I have a soda or something like it?" He asked, the light headed feeling wouldn't go away, it could be because his sugar levels were low. But even if it wasn't…

He just wanted something that would wake him up enough to be functionable for his next shift.

The chicken nodded and went off to the kitchen. He vaguely heard Bonnie and Freddy speaking, but he didn't care enough to listen. Foxy hovered near, like he was worried Leo would have another episode.

That's exactly what the guard didn't want.

"I'm fine Foxy." The guard insisted after a moment or two of silence. The fox jumped, like he had been caught in his own thoughts. "You can go over with Freddy and Bonnie." Leo continued, the red bot glanced at the others before back at him.

"It's okay, they probably don't need me over there anyways." The bot explained and Leo glanced up at him out of the corner of his eye. His ears were drooped, as his one eye rested on his comrades.

"Do they often include you?" Leo asked before he could stop himself, the fox turned to look at him and then back at the other two bots.

"Yeah, they do. But most of the time they are in here together and I'm in ma cove." he shrugged and turned back to him, "it was better, before, when I was workin'. I could come in durin' our time off. Or they would come in and visit me...but that was before everythin' really." He paused for a long moment and Leo lifted his head gazing at him. "When they stopped lettin' us move around...after the kids were killed. Everythin' changed." The fox mocked a breath and Leo gazed up at him quietly.

"I'm sorry. You'll be fixed again soon...and I mean, I got the manager to get someone to fix you. Maybe you guys can start walking around again? The kids would enjoy it." Leo offered, and Foxy looked around the dining room again.

"Yeah. That would be nice."

"The cleaners are here." Freddy announced as Chica returned from the kitchen carrying a drink. She set it down before Leo and the guard nodded his thanks, drinking from the cup and concentrating on getting his hand to stop shaking. He heard the bots moving from behind and around him, but he didn't look up.

The sugar was helping, but he still had the jitters.

He was very happy to see Jack walk in, the cleaner had made a copy of the keys that Leo had, saying that it would help the guard's injuries heal.

"Hey Leo! You're alive again, which means that my theory continues to be proven." The cleaner came over and handed Leo the pack, the guard took it desperately pulling out his lighter that he now kept in his pocket. Recently he had started to put his backpack in his office. For one he knew it was safe in there, and two, it was difficult to hold it with his crutch and busted arm.

"Yeah, yeah whatever." He grumbled before lighting his cigarette. Jack chuckled and pulled up a chair.

"So I caught sight of some of the construction workers, and Jamie mentioned that they were planning on adding to the restaurant. Which is kinda strange, I mean, we all know they are bankrupt. So why put in the effort to renovate?" The cleaner asked and Leo paused, casting his glance up to the animatronics on stage.

"Who knows. Maybe they need more dining space." He said with a shrug, Jack hummed before taking a breath and getting up.

"Maybe, honestly this company is so weird I wouldn't be surprised if they were putting in a morgue." At that Leo tensed taking a deep breath. The cleaner didn't seem to notice, "I'll see you later, make sure you rest up eh?" With that he went to go do his job. Leo let out a breath and rested his head against the table again dragging out a smoke.

He was just...so tired.

Bonnie was disturbed.

The whole event had shaken him more than he would like to admit, and then the fact that Leo had completely denied it entirely made the bot wonder just how much he was downplaying it.

Or how much he was downplaying other things.

It had clearly been something the hare had triggered, and whatever it had been, it had also obviously shaken the guard.

The rabbit hadn't been able to focus much that day, and he found himself glad for automatic programming that took over in absence of his action. His ears were drooped down a bit more than usual as well, and he knew the other two noticed but they didn't comment on it.

He only saw Leo once or twice on that day. Which was unusual lately, usually the guard would be in the main room often to pay attention to things. But he seemed to prefer being in his office more today. Though the rabbit suspected it was because he was doing that smoking thing again.

At the very least the guard seemed happier after he did it, even though Bonnie was pretty sure it was bad for his health.

The day was a bit of a blur, and if he were being honest, so was that night. They played a few card games as usual, but it was only after the mechanic and her useless assistant had left.

The lagomorph didn't know what to make of that strange man, he claimed to be there to help her, but he never did anything to help her in the repairs of Foxy. The man wandered around the restaurant, this night Freddy seemed too annoyed to follow him around. Likely because of the man's insistent questions. Bonnie had always admired the bear's level of patience, the hare was almost certain he wouldn't be able to stand all those questions so effectively.

But Leo seemed to tolerate them, and he often told them that the two strange humans were there to help.

Bonnie wasn't sure if he believed that.

All the woman ever said was that she needed more parts, she would do minor surface level repairs and then seem to find something else wrong with the bot each time she inspected him.

The hare knew it wasn't for the money, she couldn't have been paid that much. With how much complaining the rest of the staff did about their paychecks Bonnie couldn't imagine that the company would pay her a fair amount.

The lagomorph just couldn't figure it out. He couldn't figure out why she continued to bring that useless man, why she couldn't seem to repair any of the major things wrong with the fox either.

She had offered to work on the others as well, but they declined, Bonnie wasn't going to let anyone near him that he couldn't decipher the intentions of.

He was pretty sure the others felt the same way.

Bonnie did his best to ignore them when they came, but that was difficult when all he wanted to do was watch the woman to make sure she didn't mess up Foxy.

It was a complex matter, one that he struggled with every time he saw them.

Leo, while seeming to somewhat trust them, was also tense, and the bunny was glad for it. He and the human may have many disagreements upon things. But Leo was always very suspicious of adults as well, and Bonnie appreciated that.

He wasn't sure when he and the other three had started feeling safe around the tiny human. When they started trusting him to take care of situations instead of having to intervene.

Bonnie suspected that the children had some influence upon their opinions as well. The rabbit wouldn't be surprised, being around them for so long, they have to be influencing each other somehow.

Though whether it be the children or their own opinions on the man. Somehow Leo had become a safe authoritarian figure in their lives. The hare noticed even Freddy seemed to trust that Leo had their best interests at heart.

The bot wasn't sure when that had started happening, but he knew it had begun with him stopping the man from taking that child.

Perhaps though, it also helped that Leo looked much like a child as well.

Bonnie of course was never going to tell the irate man that.

Toward the latter part of the night Bonnie found himself the first one to fold in poker. He was tired of losing his tokens to Foxy who seemed to be dominating this round.

It wasn't long before Chica followed after him and folded her own deck, in the absence of him playing Bonnie had moved to the dining area. Leo, Freddy and Foxy were still heavily immersed in the game.

Chica didn't come over to him, she instead went over to the caution tape that blocked off the construction. Bonnie watched as she peered around it to catch a look at the area.

"Hey Chica, whatcha doing?" The guard asked, seeming to have also lost to the seemingly unbeatable Foxy. Bonnie knew it was serious when Leo was forced to fold.

Once Foxy learned how to play the game it was practically impossible to beat him. Only Leo ever managed, but it seemed that this night. Not even the guard could do it.

It was only a matter of time that Freddy folded.

"I was just seeing what they were doing with the expansion. I wonder if we will get our own stages!" She turned to look at Leo and Bonnie. "Wouldn't that be great?" She smiled but Bonnie shook his head.

"No, I can't imagine dealing with those kids all on my own." He loved the kids, but he often relied on the others to keep them continually entertained.

Children just never seemed to run out of energy…

"Okay maybe, but either way we get more space!" Chica continued clapping her hands together. Bonnie turned to look at Leo who was gazing at the table quietly. He wanted to ask him what was wrong but with a shout of frustration from Freddy they all turned to look at him.

"You cheated! There is no way you got those cards!" The bear protested. Making them all go wide eyed. They had never actually heard him shout.

"And ye be a sore loser eh Fred?" The fox asked with a grin as he gathered up all the tokens. The monetary value of them was little. They were able to trade them with Leo to see if he could give them an extra song on stage or the spotlight be more on them one day.

Bonnie suspected Foxy was hoarding them for when he was allowed to work again.

"It's okay Freddy, we all have been beaten by the fox." Leo said looking over to the bear. With a breath and adjusting his top hat the leader stepped down from the stage and came over to where they were.

His eyes as well wandered to the newly constructed part of the restaurant. "Its very strange." He mused, and they cast their gazes to him. "Obviously this place is in financial trouble. So why bother with expanding? Or is this a common thing amongst failing businesses?" The bear asked, looking at Leo, the human shrugged.

"As if I know. The manager is an idiot." The guard grumbled pulling out a cigarette and lighting it.

"Did he say anything to you about it?" Chica asked leaning over the boundary tape.

"Hm? Oh, uh, just the usual, don't let anyone go back there...let the construction workers in and out. That kinda thing."

"You gotta wonder what he is planning..." the rabbit trailed quietly watching Leo.

They quietly gazed at the doorway that led to the newly added rooms, it was just the base skeleton of them now. But it wouldn't be long before they were constructed.

However their musings were cut off by Leo's watch beeping loudly. All bots turned to look at him as he turned it off, dragging out a smoke.

"Alright guys, you heard the alarm. Back on stage with ya." He ordered before getting up himself and getting his crutch adjusted.

The bots went back to their places and then watched as Leo unlocked the door, before going to the back office. Then they proceeded to power down before their shift.

Bonnie took a moment longer...as he couldn't help but wonder why Leo lied to them.

Thank you for reading! I hope you guys liked the chapter, I know there wasn't much story building here, but I wanted to try something a bit different with a specific animatronic perspective on things. I'd love to hear your guys opinion on it!

Bonnie quite suspicious of the newcomers, though honestly I would be too. Anyways, I hope you guys liked the chapter!

Thank you so much for all your support! I appreciate it and all of you and your reviews so much! I always love to hear what you guys think! :)
