Hello everyone! This is a bit early of an update, but eh, it's Tuesday night, we'll just pretend it's Wednesday. ;)

So, things have been intense lately huh? Yeah…well, that would be because it's coming to the climax of this arc of the story. BUT that doesn't mean this story is over, I still have lots of plans…some even pretain to a yet to be released game…

But that's a story for another time!

However, I do have a question for ya'll. There is a point I have planned where this story will technically 'end' BUT, that's cause there will be a sequel. BUT, would ya'll like the sequel included in this one story and make it a mega long one? Or seperated into a seperate story? Idk, I'm a little hesitant to seperate it…so I wanted to ask what your opinion of it was.

But don't worry! That is still awhile off, just thinking ahead ya know?

Now…onto reviews…

PK - SPRINGTRAP HUG MEH: Ah, that's the question isn't it? Where might Leo be? Is he in there? Someplace else? Nowhere at all? We shall have to see won't we?

TU4QU0I53T4IAN6L3: Haha! Well, to be fair I think I've hinted at it before, so who knows? You probably did know! As for what side he is on? That's a good question, maybe one that Springy has yet to answer himself. And aw! Thank you! I had fun writing that, it's different from my usual so I'm glad it was done well! And yeah, poor Ashford. And yeah! everyone's back together…but if that is a good thing or bad…well that remains to be seen.

Silverleone: Oh! Well that's certainly good! And as for who is in control? We shall see! And ah! Good observation! I'm so glad you noticed, and that does raise a question doesn't it? Is there someone else in there with them? Or did Acidrew just do a shoddy job in making them? And ah, yes I see what you mean, and yeeeeeaaah…I did, most of the time I can catch it, but sometimes things slip through the cracks! Thanks for pointing it out!

I own nothing but my characters and ideas.

Chapter 52
Who is really in charge?

Present time…

Bonnie reached out and caught the collapsing form of their nightguard as his legs gave out from under him.

His sudden appearance confused but also elated Bonnie, had he come back because he wanted to see them?

The rabbit knew it wasn't true…but he could hope.

"GUYS!" He bellowed out before turning his attention to Leo as he scooped his limp form up in his arms. There was the sound of human and animatronic footsteps as the bunch of them came from where they had been in the toys room.

Unsurprisingly, Enix and Jamie approached first, and while Bonnie didn't want them too, the two men took Leo from him and took him over to one of the tables after Foxy swept the contents off.

This time it didn't bother the hare.

"Is tHis thE BirThDaY BoY?" The strange purple and white Freddy asked, Bonnie had no idea who they were or where they came from, but he was too busy right now to care.

"Shh Freddy, they are busy right now." A woman's echoey voice responded but beyond that Bonnie tuned them out.

Enix and Jamie set him down on the table and the blue haired guard checked his pulse and looked him over concerned, but before anymore could be done. There was banging on the front doors.

Everyone snapped their attention to the double glass doors at their entrance.

At the sound Bonnie almost felt his power source stop fearing it was that monstrous creature that Ashford had warned them about, but when it was none other then a bloodied Ashford. The hare calmed down.

Enix stood up straighter, "Ashford! Jamie, go open the door for him!" He ordered and the young redhead nodded heading over to the door and opening it up. Allowing Ashford to enter…and behind him he dragged some strange contraption with both a dark haired man and Joey taped to it.

Before the hare could say anything he was shoved to the side suddenly by the strange Freddy and his pink and white fox companion.

Both of them rushed over with a cry of "Colt!"

Ashford however released the rope and scrambled away from them running into Jamie as he did.

"He's alive!" The auburn haired man claimed with a squeak as the two bots looked at him accusingly.

The strange humanoid animatronic with the echoey woman's voice approached as well with the help of Chia.

"What happened to him?" She asked, but Bonnie had enough.

He stepped forward before Ashford could speak, "he said they were alive! We just found Leo and we have no idea what has happened to him, please can we just stay focused for one secon-"

"****it my ****King head…" growled a familiar voice that made everyone freeze and slowly turn to look at the occupant on the table that had propped himself up with his elbow.

Leo held his head face twisted up in discomfort.

For a moment no one spoke until Enix cautiously approached him.

"L…Leo…? Is….is that yo-" before he could finish, he was cut off by Leo's head snapping up faster than it should've.

His eyes were wide, but not with fear.

There was a wide and crazed look in his eyes.

"Ah! You're blue hair right!?" Suddenly he grabbed Enix's head and laughed, "you should get a haircut!" The he looked at the bangs in his own face and laughed again. "I should get a haircut!" Then he released Enix and hopped to his feet so suddenly chest raised and hands on his hips as he looked down at them all.

There was a distinctly…not-Leo look in his eye that set everyone on edge.

"….is this William?" Charlotte was the one to pose the question that they were all thinking.

Not-Leo snapped his attention to Charlotte and leaned over with a smirk, eyes squinted.

"No. The old man was so startled he was forced to retreat." Then he frowned and glared at something on the ceiling, before smacking the side of his head. "But the ******d is griping up a ****King storm." He snarled, and there was silence for a few more ticks.

"But…you aren't Leo are you?" Asked Ashford softly, one hand holding his left ear.

Not-Leo turned and snapped his fingers pointing at Ashford.

"You are both correct and incorrect! I am both Leo and not Leo!" Then he turned and looked at everyone with a strange wolfish grin. "And I've been dying to meet you all." He purred, his grin shifting into a sly smirk.

Enix let out a hard breath and held his face, "okay, so you aren't William, you are…and are not Leo. So who the ***k are you?" He demanded with a snap to his tone, but then he held out a hand to the children still controlling the original bodies. "I'm sorry. But at this point my tolerance for the strange and weird is at it's limit." He turned back to not-Leo. "So who are you?"

A grin of amusement was on not-Leo's face as he gazed down at them, eyes dancing with enjoyment.

"Weeeeeeellll-"

"….that would be Fox. The reason that Leo is in jail in the first place." Muttered a voice that Bonnie hadn't heard before.

He turned to see that with the aid of the new strange bots, the dark haired man who had been tied to Joey was now standing up. Looking exhausted, but gazing up at Leo who still stood atop the table.

"Isn't that right Fox?" The man asked tiredly.

Bonnie turned his attention to the short man on the table. He was gazing at the dark haired man, all smiles gone, eyes narrowed and a straight up murderous glare on his face.

"Ah, Colt. Fancy seeing you here." He growled lowly, and Bonnie turned to look back at Colt only to watch him take a deep breath.

"Yes. Well, I had hoped all that therapy in prison had gotten rid of you." At that Fox suddenly brightened again.

"It did! But guess what?!" He swung his arm around until he was pointing at Bonnie, Chica, Freddy and Foxy. "These fantastic monsters brought me back!" Then he turned on his heel and walked a few steps on the table. Before whipping back around and grinning at them all, "I was reborn you could say. In that hospital room, after you bashed and thrashed Leo's poor frail little form." He suddenly slapped a hand to his chest, "oh how scared he was! His fear! His trauma! It fueled my return! And I almost got out as well! I was almost free!" He turned to Bonnie and his set of bots, "but you guys had to get all…." He sighed dramatically, shoulders slumping, "concerned and nice to him." Then he tilted his head and let out a breath, "which would've been fine, great even, because then he wouldn't have needed me." But then he held up a finger head bowed slightly. "But. I knew it was a lie. I knew that things were just too….mmm, perfect." He then looked up, and gazed right at Bonnie with a look that made the hare step back slightly, Fox's lips turned up in a knowing smirk. "So when you, you wonderfully monstrous bunny. When you did exactly as I predicted. I made a decision." He put his finger to his lips, but it did nothing to hide the smirk on his face. A smirk that exhibited more anger then it did any kind of amusement.

"…and what was that decision…?" Jamie asked softly, Fox's eyes however were fixed on Bonnie alone.

"Well it's simple really." He flicked his wrist back in a motioning gesture. "Leo was no longer safe. And there was no one looking out for his best interests. Or his wellbeing for that matter."

Enix however stepped forward, "hey! That's not true! We did our best to help him-"

"NO!" Fox snapped at him, turning his glare upon the blue haired man. "You ***king smurf. You lost that ***king right the moment you let that ***king rabbit hit him." He snapped, and Bonnie flinched, ears flickering back.

"Fox." Colt warned from where he stood. The angry alter-ego turned to look at him coldly. "I'm sure Enix didn't let Bonnie hit Leo. You of all people should know that it would be practically impossible for him to stop him." The dark haired man reminded, and for a moment both he and Fox stared at each other silently. Before Fox sighed dramatically.

"Fine." He hissed before running a hand through his hair. "But regardless. You are stuck with me." He lifted his gaze and looked at them all with a smirk. "Now, anyone got some drugs?"

Michael's body felt sluggish. Exhausted…and heavens above…he was in agony.

His mind was slow to catch up, as he wondered what on this planet could make him hurt this bad.

And then he remembered.

The Afton's eyes snapped open as he inhaled sharply, only to instantly regret it as every nerve ending screamed at him for the action.

Wincing painfully, Michael opened his eyes again and looked around, only to blink at the familiar surroundings.

It was his living room. Or…rather, his childhood living room.

It was his father's house.

With a breath, he tried to push himself up only to cry out and whimper as he collapsed back onto the couch. This earned him yet another whimper as pain once again radiated through his body.

He wanted to cry, he wanted to curl up and cry until it all went away. Until the pain disappeared, until the terrible feeling of something crawling around inside him vanished.

Michael just wanted it to stop.

"Michael?" A garble voice asked, and the young. Afton's eyes snapped open again, him not realizing he had closed them.

Standing before him, ears drawn back in concern and head tilted to the side was Spring Bonnie. He had a red stained rag in hand, and the previous blood stains on his fur looked to have been scrubbed at.

Michael opened his mouth to ask what was going on, only to gasp sharply and gag reflexively. A metallic taste filling his mouth, and hysterically he wondered how there was even blood left in his body.

"Hey, hey easy, don't try to speak, you uh…" the tan hare trailed off motioning to his own neck. "Have a wound here." He explained delicately.

Michael could tell that he was playing it down considerably.

He gave a twitch of a nod and the springlock bunny nodded as well mocking a breath. Then he proceeded to collapse back on the armchair next to the couch Michael was on.

"…I suppose you are…very lost on what is happening." The bunny guessed and after a moment Michael twitched another nod. Trying to stay as still as possible so not to irritate his wounds anymore.

Now that he was more awake, his eyes flickered over himself.

He was covered in bandages, there was barely a inch of himself that was without some kind of gauze or wrap on it.

It was also now that he realized he was only looking out of one eye.

A small whine escaped him as he tried to lift a hand to feel why he couldn't see from his other eye. Did he lose it? That question pounded at his brain and his breath started quickening.

"Michael? Michael its okay! You're eye's still there! It's just…you have several wounds around it. They needed to be covered." Spring Bonnie explained, and Michael's gaze lifted to him and he forced his breathing to calm, especially when he started feeling his wounds again.

"Okay…okay, we're okay right?" Spring Bonnie asked and Michael gave a twitch of a nod. The rabbit mocked a sigh and nodded as well. "Okay. First off, you aren't going to die. That I know for sure, because if you were going to die, you would've done so already." He explained, "and…I would have called the hospital, but…I don't know how your inexplicable survival could be explained. Plus…I wouldn't be able to go with you…and I didn't think you wanted to be alone." At that Michael gave a twitch of a nod. "Right, so. I don't know if you know this…but your father is alive…or at least. Undead." That made Michael blink staring at at him a moment. "Yeah…um…he…died…in me." The rabbit rubbed the back of his head, ears slouched. "Then…he…uploaded into my extra chip." He mocked a breath and motioned to nothing in particular. "And now…he is in the guard, Leo's head." His ears dipped low and his head followed suit as he rested it in his paw.

"…I couldn't stop him. I…" the rabbit mocked a breath, and Michael, despite the situation couldn't help but marvel at how many human tendencies that Spring Bonnie seemed to have.

However, the revelation was shocking…but the more Michael thought about it. It wasn't that surprising. He had been fourteen when his father had gone missing only to later be confirmed dead. Though, they had never found a body.

But it made sense that his death would've been from one of the suits.

Michael always remembered how much his father loved those things. Sometimes it felt like he loved them more than his own children.

And honestly? It had been probably sixteen years since Michael had last seen this animatronic this close.

Maybe it was the trauma, maybe he was tired of repressing his memories. But as he stared at the springlock suit before him, Michael clearly remembered his father walking around in it and entertaining children.

He had thought his father was so cool back then.

But times have changed.

He wanted to ask him, he wanted to ask the rabbit who probably knew his father far better than Michael ever did.

Had he done it?

Had he actually killed those children?

Fox was sitting at one of the tables smoking a pack of cigarettes, one of the few that sat before him. Jack had still been bringing them by, saying Leo would want them when he returned.

Well, they knew a version of Leo wanted them.

"Colt. I feel like I've been saying this a lot at this point…but what the ***l is going on here? How do you know Leo? Who the ***l is Fox? And why do I feel like he's going to murder us in our sleep?" Enix demanded looking at the older man whose wounds were being treated by Jamie.

Everyone was uncertain about approaching Fox. The originals…who were still in their nightmare suits were followed around by their original bodies that housed the children, and they awkwardly hovered nearby but weren't sure about approaching.

It didn't help that Fox would growl at them everytime they did.

"I…I will answer all that I can, but you need to answer this first. Where's that *****d?" Colt asked, lifting his eyes to Enix.

The blue haired man sighed and nodded to the toys room.

"In there, the toys are guarding him. Charlotte will make sure that he isn't going anywhere." At that Colt nodded with a breath and glanced at Jamie before turning back to Enix.

"Alright. I suppose it's storytime." He stole another breath and cast his eyes to the ceiling, "I met Leo when I was…what, seven? Eight? I don't remember exactly. But we met in this…'orphanage.'" That made Enix frown and mimick Colt's quotations.

"'Orphanage'?" The dark haired man nodded with a breath.

"Yeah." Neither noticed the other bots listening in as well as Fox who not so subtly leaned closer. "It…was actually a gang." That made Enix blink and Jamie freeze.

"A gang!?" The redhead whimpered and Colt nodded with a glance at him.

"Yeah. And from what I understand," his eyes flickered over to Fox. "Leo's parents sold him to the gang."

"For a bottle of whiskey and a pack of cigarettes!" Fox called, before spinning around in his chair, his front now facing the back of the chair.

Enix blinked and looked at him, "you remember that?" At the question Fox nodded, taking a long drag before puffing out the smoke with a breath.

"Ya." He didn't elaborate further and Enix wasn't sure that he should push him, so the blue haired man just nodded with a breath and turned back to Colt questioningly.

The mechanic sighed, "yeah…well, I met him in he gang…honestly I thought he was younger then me. But it turns out he was about twelve or thirteen at the time. We became friends…and then we basically became-"

"Brothers! That's what you said, right Colty?" Fox implored leaning over the back of the chair with a grin, the cigarette held by his teeth.

Colt stared at him a moment before pressing his lips into a line, "yeah, brothers." He lifted his gaze to Enix again, "hence why his last name is Byrd. He…didn't want to use his parents name anymore."

"Yeah…I can't imagine why he would want to do that..." Enix drawled softly.

"I…I know this is diverting from the story a bit…but how did you end up in the gang…?" Ashford asked softly, the side of his head had already been bandaged up.

Luckily Alder had made sure to leave medical supplies with them before he left.

"Huh? Oh…me being stupid I suppose." Colt sighed, his eyes flickering to the unconscious Joey, "after my parents died….and with my sister presumed dead. Well, I was in an actual orphanage….I just…got involved with the wrong kids. They ended up being a part of a gang…it just spiraled from there." Ashford nodded and Colt stole another breath, "so…Leo and I were close…and a few years into being in the gang…well, Leo's initiation was coming up. For a gang it was actually pretty light initiation. But…I kinda think it's cause they doubted Leo could do much else. So they had him steal some drugs from a dealer on the streets. He got away with it…and he started getting more involved with them. I, on the other hand, met Lucas. He was the little brother to one of the other members who died…and my heart went out to him…so I pretty much adopted him." He pressed his lips into a line and took a breath. "I went through my initiation as well…and Leo had become a lackey for the gang…and that's when…I started to notice…that he was behaving differently." His eyes lifted to Fox who stared back at him evenly. "But it really hit a turning point…after he was shot." At that Enix blinked and looked to Fox to confirm this and the alter-ego nodded and pulled down the collar of his shirt to reveal a scar where his shoulder dips in behind his collar bone.

Enix tried not to comment on how prominent his collarbone was.

"Straight through, got a scar on my back too. Leo never questioned it."

"Yeah…well, it was after that…well that's when Fox was truly born I suppose." Colt muttered, "I…hardly saw the Leo I knew after that."

"Well, maybe if you had stuck around you would've." Fox huffed, puffing a cloud of smoke from his mouth.

"I had to get Lucas out of there-"

"You left us!" Fox snapped, cutting him off as he bit down hard on the cigarette causing it to bend awkwardly.

"I never would've left Leo. You? You were reckless, reckless and stupid. I didn't want something you did to endanger Lucas." But that caused Fox to stand up, the chair falling to the ground.

"Leo was your brother first! Either he did those things and those stupid messenger missions or you had to!"

"THEN WHY DID YOU KILL THE BOSS!? DON'T YOU REALIZE WHAT POSITION THAT LEFT US IN!?" Colt yelled standing as well, Jamie held up his hands backing up. Enix glanced between them. Ready to intervene.

"YOU ***KING IDIOT! HE WAS GOING TO KILL BOTH OF YOU!" That made Colt freeze, and everyone else was also frozen as both their words set in.

Leo killed someone?

"W…what?" Colt stammered, eyes wide. Fox snarled, yanking the cigarette out of his mouth.

"You were a waste of resources Colt! You refused to do anything! Do you realize how many times Leo had to intervene to prevent you or Lucas getting punished because you couldn't go on a mission!? Because you refused to do as they asked?! He was always there for you! But when he was sitting in that prison cell alone where the ***k were you?!" He finished, hands clenched into fists. Silence descended upon the room as everyone waited for Colt to respond.

"…I…I didn't know that." That was whispered, and Fox scoffed.

"Ya, that was kinda the point."

Silence ticked on for a few moments before Fox sighed and sat back on the table.

"…so…what now?" Enix asked softly looking at everyone. No one responded so he continued, "cause…I mean…William is in Leo's head."

Enix could've sworn he heard Fox mutter something about like '***king old man won't shut up' but he couldn't be certain.

"…well we figure out how he got in there…and then take him out." Ashford concluded, and Enix nodded.

"…we still have the little girl and Lucas to find." Colt said softly, earning a soft scoff from Fox.

"I'm surprised you let the kid out of your sight." Colt pressed his lips into a line but didn't say anything.

"….the girl…the girl uh…inside the Michael guy…she said…she played with the girl…" Ashford whispered, looking haunted, then he lifted his gaze to Colt. "Was she…lying?"

"…no." Colt whispered, before glancing at the Funtime animatronics next to him. Ft. Foxy and Ballora exchanged guilty looks, but Ft. Freddy was staring at his hand fascinated.

"Andrew…Acid…whatever his name is, he…he would have the Funtime animatronics…practice their capturing skills on her." He lifted his gaze to them with a little bit of scolding in his eyes. "I worked with them on realizing that was wrong. And I got some of the child hunting protocols turned off." Then he let out a breath, "but…Acid figured that out and took both her and Lucas…and I don't know where they are."

"Okay…so…get rid of William…and find the kids." Enix concluded then his eyes fell on the nightmare animatronics and their respective children clinging to them. "And get them back in their normal bodies." He let out a breath, "that shouldn't be too hard should it?"

And that's when they heard Chia let out a shriek from the toy's room.

And Steven came running out eyes wide in panic.

"What is it?" Enix demanded standing up, Steven looked between them all and then finally to Enix again.

"Acid…he…he…"

"He what?!" Colt demanded, Fox looked over his shoulder at the blue rabbit looking only slightly interested.

"He was taken!" Steven claimed, and everyone looked at each other confused.

"But that's impossible." Remarked Freddy stepping forward. Steven nodded motioning to him..

"Right! That's what I thought, but this…these wire things! They came out of the wall! Then this…thing stepped inside it's not a bot that I know, it…I don't know! But it took Acid! We tried to stop it, but…" he trailed off and swallowed.

"****it! Why didn't you call for help!?" Colt demanded before heading into the room. Enix followed after and after a moment so did Fox.

Everyone but Steven was on the ground banged up and groaning, Charlotte was crumpled in the corner of the room….and there was a gaping hole in the wall leading directly outside. And after a closer inspection on Steven, his outer coating was covered in scuff marks and scratches.

"Hmph." Fox muttered from where he stood between Enix and Colt. "That's not coming out of my paycheck." He patted Enix's arm, "you're in charge of the toys and their room. Consider yourself promoted." Then he turned on his heel and headed back into the dining room.

Enix turned to look at him incredulously.

"Don't you care!? Acid is loose! Who knows what he'll do next!" He called, and Fox sighed dramatically before looking over his shoulder and back at him.

"I know. That's who." At that Enix blinked.

"…what?"

Colt and Steven came back into the room and everyone else listened in.

Fox sighed and tapped his forehead. "William thinks that Acid will try and kill Michael. Especially now that he's free of Ennard and Elizabeth." But at that Colt frowned

"How do you know he's free of the-"

"Did you not listen to Stevie over here?" He asked with a raised eyebrow, "he said a bot not a guy." He shrugged, "last time I checked Michael was a dude."

"Well…if he's free that's a good thing right?" Ashford asked, coming over to them.

"Yes…but that now means that Ennard and Elizabeth are more dangerous. You can damage and slow down a human body…a bot you can work on dismantling or even damage. But if they are an accumulation of cords and wires? That's a lot harder to deal with."

Enix sighed heavily and rubbed his forehead roughly.

"***t. Every time something seems to be calming down it gets bad again." He muttered.

"We should try and find Michael." Fox suddenly said, and everyone looked at him.

"Well…yeah…but why-"

"Because if Michael was back at the house, and Ennard left him, then he wouldn't be in any condition to leave. So he is still at the house. And you know who else is at the house? The little girl." At that everyone straightened.

"H…how do you know that?" Bonnie asked quietly, but that earned him a glare from Fox that made him flinch.

"I don't. William does. He said that Acid had put her in Elizabeth's old room. Maybe he was pretending that she was Elizabeth. Acid hated Michael, but he had been fond of Elizabeth."

"S…she's there? Then we need to go!" Ashford claimed, but Enix hesitated.

"Wait…but how much should we be trusting what William says? Wouldn't he be wanting to find ways to take over again?" He asked, glancing around and then looking at Fox. "How do we know that he can't just take over at any time?"

"He can't, this is still my head." Fox insisted, but Colt nodded.

"Enix raises a fair point…what triggered the switch last time?"

"…I scared him, and he just…collapsed unconscious." Bonnie claimed softly.

"So…is it fear…? Or when he goes unconscious?" Jamie asked quietly, and Fox looked at him with narrowed eyes.

"I don't know. But you'll find out when I fall asleep." He glared around the room, "I'm not a ***king lab rat."

"Of course! We would never treat you like one!" Chica cried, stepping forward, Fox glanced at her and shrugged.

"Mmmhmm, just had to make sure."

So! Acidrew escaped with Ennard/Elizabeth! How will that end? What are those two twisted Afton's planning?

And Fox! Is this Leo lying? Or a version of Leo that has emerged? Colt and Leo have quite the connected past! How will that go in the future? Is Fox right in saying William can't come out again? Or is he sorely mistaken?

I'd love to hear what you think!
