Hey guys! First off, sorry about the delay, I haven't forgotten! I've just had a lot of…life going on. So I hope to start getting chapters out more frequently!
Also, I know I'm…technically posting this after Christmas…but Merry Christmas! I hope you all had a wonderful day!
Also yay! Security Breach is out! And in case you were wondering…yes, this will go into SB and as far as I plan it will involve whatever comes next as well. I'm already plotting some things…hehe…/taps fingers together with maniacal grin/. I won't say any spoilers cause I dunno whose seen it, but yeah, definitely plotting.
Also, (goodness a lot of also's in here today) this is a month or two late…but uh, I do have a new(ish) fic. It's actually a alternative universe of this one, it's called New Boss! I've already seen a few reviews from you guys and just wanted to say thanks for checking it out! I dunno where it's going yet but yeah!
Also dang! We're almost at a 100 alerts! That's so crazy to me! Thank you guys so much!
Anyways…onto reviews…
Silverleone: I'm glad you liked the line! And yes you were right, there is something going on with the bodies, we will just have to see how the bots manage through it hm? And yes, Spring Bonnie is basically a mom.
PK - SPRINGTRAP HUG MEH: It does? Ah, well that's not this kinda fic, and I'm not sure what you're referencing sorry. And ah…yes, okay, so…
When I started this fic there was a theory circulating that Michael was C.C. At the time I don't believe that the remnant thing was talked about…
So….
This is my Afton family line up.
William Afton = Purple Guy
Ballora = Afton Mom
Acidrew = Foxy Bro
Michael Afton = C.C, Mike, Michael. (Here is where it's a bit complicated, one of my chapters does talk about it, but basically Michael in this story is kinda a cyborg? Ish? He was put back together by his father…Henry and the Byrds. However part of him was downloaded into the chip that day. So basically Michael has become two characters. The one we know and then the one that is inside Golden Freddy. I hope that's understandable.)
And no, I'm sorry I don't take oc petitions.
TU4Q0I53T4IAN6L3: Yeah Leo is going to have a lot of struggles…Acidrew really messed up Joey and you will actually find out more about that in this chapter. Yeah at the moment Spring Bonnie is avoiding the others…but don't worry I do plan on having interactions with characters, but yeah at the moment they are each on separate arcs. And…well with Henry…let's just say it's complicated.
Thank you everyone who has supported this story!
I own nothing but my characters.

Chapter 56
Adjusting
Leo hugged his knees close to his chest as the sounds of an open pizzeria surrounded him.
Both doors were shut in the office despite the fact that Enix had assured him no one would hurt him.
Quietly, Leo went through the cameras, watching the children mill about, and the toy animatronics take the main stage as the main ones were still only occupied by the children.
He however usually let the camera linger on parts and service where the main crew and their nightmare counterparts resided.
Each nightmare version was speaking to, and or comforting the child within their original bodies.
Leo watched them quietly, rolling over what they had said. What they had claimed.
He wouldn't put it past Acid to do something like that. The man…from what Leo could tell, clearly hated him. So, it wasn't at all surprising that he would pit his….
Were they friends?
Shaking his head, he switched to the dining room camera and rested his chin on his knee as he watched Enix greet customers and the children in a jovial manner.
He'd always been good around people.
Something Leo was most certainly not.
Closing his eyes and puffing out a breath to try and escape his downtrodden thoughts. The man got up from his chair and set the tablet down on the desk before him.
Enix had mentioned that Joey was in the hospital, and if Leo really thought about it. He could understand why.
Something about her had definitely seemed off when he saw her at William's house…
Right. William.
Neither Ashford or Enix elaborated on the situation, or who Fox was. So Leo was left in the dark, with no memory of the past two or so months.
The lack of memory wasn't something he was unaccustomed to, but it always left that itching need in him.
And unlike with his elusive childhood memories. Leo actually wanted to know what he had missed.
And why did everyone keep mentioning that they were concerned he would go off and start a gang?
Shaking his head, the man turned to open up one of the doors. Only for his hand to freeze, hovering in front of the bottom.
His eyes widened near comically when the sound of heavy and metal footsteps clanged their way into his ears.
The bots…they'd said they would stay in parts and service…?
So what was one of them doing in the hallway?
This was the right hallway…Chica's hallway.
So was it her?
Did they even abide by those rules anymore?
Leo's hand curled into a fist, refusing to open up the door, and for a moment he wondered if he should dare.
But dare he did and looked up. Only to immediately regret it as Chica's nightmarish face was peering at him through the glass.
Frozen in fear, Leo stared up at her taking short and fast breaths.
Pain in his head began, pulsing with every beat of his racing heart.
"Leo! It's me! Chica! Let me in! I want to help you!" The familiar voice rang in his ears and Leo near collapsed from his shaking.
"Ch…Chica…that's not f…f….funny…" he stammered out stepping away from the door.
Why would she do that? She had to remember that's what she did before!
Swallowing Leo stumbled back till he was against the opposite wall.
Was it real? Or was this in his head?
He didn't know, but he didn't want to take the chance that it was real. So Leo took a breath and slid down the wall till he was sitting down, then he held his head taking in sharp breaths and doing his best to ignore her laughing.
However he did jump at the sound of knocking, his eyes lifted…but nightmare Chica was gone.
The knock sounded again, but this time it was accompanied by a voice. "Leo? You okay in there?"
The former guard's shoulders slumped at Enix's voice, slowly he got up and opened the door staring up at the taller man from under his bangs.
"Y…yeah…just tired." He muttered, averting his eyes when Enix's brow furrowed.
"Okay…we'll, c'mon, you should try and at least drink some water." All Leo gave him in return was a nod, Enix nodded as well before heading down the hallway.
Leo paused before glancing at the window but Chica wasn't there, and with a wallop in his gut he realized it was probably just in his head.
***k…he was losing it.
Remington Alder was not a man who often diverted from his main goals in life.
However, he was ashamed to admit that he had. He had dropped the ball with a certain large and very important goal.
His daughter.
She was still missing.
And here he was, siting down. With a breath his eyes flickered to the other occupant of the room.
Colt Byrd.
The man was pacing back and forth, his overall straps hanging by his waist. The hospital room was cold as it should be. There were soft breaths coming from the occupant on the bed.
Joey Byrd.
Remington wasn't fully aware of what had happened to her. But she had been comatose for the past two months.
He had all the intentions in the world to come here and ask Colt for his assistance in finding his daughter.
But seeing him in this state. He was tongue tied.
"How is she?" Those were the only words that escaped his mouth.
The man paused in his pacing and took a breath gazing at his bedridden sibling.
"They...found something in her head. They think that it's what keeps her asleep." that made Remington pause.
"Like...a tumor?"
But Colt shook his head.
"No. It's...it's like a chip." Remington frowned.
"Like what the bots have?" his only answer was a nod. "why would she have one of those?"
Colt could only throw up his hands in a helpless manner.
"As if I know! I didn't even know she was alive!" He let out a strong breath whilst coming over and sitting down hard next to Remington.
The CEO gazed at one of his employees as he continued, "I…don't even know if she will make it out of this." Colt whispered, gazing at the unconscious form of his twin.
Remington pursed his lips and turned his eyes to the woman on the bed.
"Jamie and Enix seem to believe that it is the fault of Andrew." He said quietly, but it was enough to earn a low growl from the mechanic in the room.
"I ought to wring his ***king british neck." It came out as an animalistic snarl that caused Remington to look at the man again.
His hair, which was normally bound back in a small ponytail, was starting to come out of it's binding. Dark circles resided under his eyes and he wrung his hands together bouncing his knee.
Remington let out a breath. "It seems that Andrew has too much of his father in him."
From next to him Colt only gave a grunt.
"How are the Funtimes doing?" Remington asked when the conversation seemed to have dropped off.
Colt seemed to relax a bit with the change in conversation, and even gave a slight, if not tired smile. "Livid. They did not want to return underground." Then the Byrd paused and pursed his lips before turning to Remington. "Sir…I was actually wanting to talk to you about them…I was wondering if there was a chance we could renovate one of the older locations to accommodate the Funtimes." Remington paused and opened his mouth, but Colt cut him off before he could get a word out. "I made sure that they don't have any child hunting protocols. I even told them that it was wrong and they understand." He added the last bit quickly.
But his attempt at reassuring Remington did the opposite.
It sobered and reminded him why he was here.
"…Colt. I hate to ask you during such a time, but…" He stole a deep breath as Colt blinked, composing himself a bit. "…my daughter. She was taken from me eleven years ago. And I have reason to believe that she is at the location you work at." He paused taking a soft breath. "I would like to ask your help…and offer my own in helping to find your brother. As it is very likely that they are together." Colt blinked a little wide eyed before composing himself once more.
His eyes flickered to Joey and then back to Remington before taking a deep breath.
The young man set his jaw and nodded, "we'll find them sir. Both of them."
Leo had indeed gone for some water, and after he quenched the thirst he didn't realize he had. He figured it would be a good time to at least attempt to freshen up. He probably looked as bad as he felt…not to mention trying to take a look at the wound on his chest.
So with a breath and a promise that he would be fine, he took some bandages and a clean towel and headed to the bathroom just after closing.
Thankfully, no one followed him.
Leo took a breath coming up to the mirror and gazing at himself.
Yeah, he looked as bad as he felt.
With a hard breath he ran a hand down his face and groaned.
He didn't want to think about the mysterious past two months, the events leading up to it, or how this was the very same bathroom that he met Sc…William, where he met William.
But of course that was the only thing he could think about.
So, in a attempt to distract himself, Leo removed his shirt, avoided directly looking in the mirror and began to evaluate his wound.
It was still fresh and stung quite a bit, but if treated properly, he could avoid infection.
He just…couldn't help but wonder what had given him it in the first place.
Had he been the one to do it? But why?
Why couldn't he remember anything?
With a hard breath and a hard dismissal of the thought, Leo wetted the rag and began to lightly dab and clean at the slash.
Hisses and dirty swears escaped his mouth as he went about it, but he did it anyways.
The last thing he wanted to do was to bother anyone about it….or for anyone to see him…
"UH OH!"
Leo let out a yelp, jumping and inevitably jabbing himself in the chest with the rag, this resulted in a harsh swear before he doubled over in pain as it seared across his body.
Once his vision cleared and he was able to move again, he glanced around the bathroom ready to cuss out whoever was here.
But he was alone.
Pursing his lips Leo let out a hard breath and turned back to his wound. It was bleeding more now that he jabbed it.
A curse slipped from his lips before he began to try and clean it again.
"Uh oh! How unfortunate!" The same childish voice called again and Leo jumped jabbing himself again.
"***K!" He swore before clenching his teeth and whipping around, but once again he was alone.
For a moment he was confused…and then his brow set low with realization and frustration.
"***k off you brats! I'm not in the mood!" He barked, but was only met with silence.
This time however he threw his bloodied rag into the sink and began searching the stalls.
One…empty, two…empty…three…empty…four…
….Scott.
Leo stopped and gazed at the stall with the little phone icon above the toilet tank.
***k.
His throat and his grip on the door tightened.
Was there even really a Scott? Leo could still remember the look on what was supposed to be a set expression.
Yet somehow…William had looked so…
…evil.
As Leo stared at the empty and now rather meaningless bathroom stall…he felt a pressure building up at the back of his head.
It didn't take long for it to blossom into a pulsing headache…
Was someone shouting….?
He swore someone was shouting.
Why was he nauseous? He hadn't eaten anything…
***k…who was screaming?
Was it him?
No.
Not him.
Not this time.
…***k….someone fell.
Was it him?
Yeah…it had to be…
The tile felt cool on his cheek…
"I can ***king do this all day old man!" Fox barked stumbling back as yet another wall flew up in front of him. There was a frustrated shout from the other side. Though it sounded more mechanical than human this time.
"You aren't getting out of there!" He continued, panting a bit as the wall that had just been before him crumbled into nothing more then ash.
A snarl tugged his lip up as he stared at the mechanical monstrosity of man and machine before him.
William's eyes, of course, glowed purple. A color Fox had rather grown to hate.
A chuckle rumbled from the man's chest as he grabbed Fox by his hair. The smaller man grunted and grabbed at his wrist but nothing more. "If you were really as powerful as you claim to be, you would still be out there wouldn't you?" William growled, eyes glowing brighter.
Fox snarled, "no, I just wanted to make sure you weren't alone when you died for the 700th time." He bared his teeth up at him and grinned. "Tell me! Was it yourself this last time!?"
But William just snarled, gripping his hair harder as he brought Fox face to face with him.
"I'd shut that ***king smart mouth of yours you brat. Unless you want me to put Leo and you in the same ***king level of hell you put me through." Then his eyes flashed and he laughed, "or maybe I'll just do it to you! And let him watch I kill and dismantle all of his little friends!" Then he snarled and his free hand flew up to Fox's throat squeezing it. The persona choked and his hands instead flew to his throat, and now holding him there, William's other hand joined in. Gripping Fox tightly in his hands.
"Or maybe I should just kill you now." He snarled.
Fox choked for breath even though he shouldn't have to breathe at all. "You…can't kill me…I'm not…alive…" he grit out. William chuckled lowly and smirked with a tilt of his head.
"No, I know. But you made a mistake little Fox. You left me alone…alone to my own devices and time to figure out just how this place runs." He then started tromping over to a door that materialized just moments ago. Fox started struggling in his grip, still choking and coughing for breath he didn't need.
"I don't think it's entirely fair, our little arrangement. After all…shouldn't we take turns?" Fox let out a noise of disagreement but William just chuckled stopping in front of the door. He turned to look at Fox who glared defiantly up at him.
"But…I haven't had a proper body in a long time. So I don't think I want to share anymore." The door swung open without any action from William, and despite himself Fox couldn't help but look.
He couldn't see beyond the doorframe, but it didn't take a genius to guess that what lie beyond was some kind of twisted torture.
How had things spiraled so out of control? It had been fine, William was getting his just dues, dying over and over again by the monsters he helped to create.
Something had changed the moment Leo woke up, the moment Leo began to wonder what happened to William.
It's like Leo's thoughts empowered the embodiment of evil within him.
However, before Fox could consider it further, William threw him through the doorway. The persona landed with a grunt, and looked up at the invader who grinned down at him with brilliant purple eyes.
A deep pool of dread settled into his stomach, and as William threw shut the door Fox threw out a hand in some attempt to do something.
But nothing happened…the door slammed shut and for a moment all was quiet.
Until mechanical laughter boomed behind him.
Leo was first conscious of the burning feeling on his chest. A hiss escaped his mouth before anything else did.
With a groan he cracked open his eyes and let his foggy vision sweep the room.
Bathrooms….
The last thing he remembered…
He was in the bathrooms…
So hopefully no time had passed that he was unaware of….
"How did he repress you?"
The question came out of nowhere and Leo jolted to find it's source.
That however only earned him a few more swears and searing pain flashing over his body.
When he could breathe normally again he lifted his gaze and couldn't help but feel his stomach drop at the sight before him.
There was a man sitting on the lid of the toilet, a man he did not recognize, but somehow….Leo knew that he knew him.
Slowly, the former guard pushed himself into a sitting position, eyes fixed on the man before him.
"…w….who…" he couldn't help but hoarsely whisper.
The man before him flashed a bit of a amused grin.
"Yeah, you wouldn't recognize me like this…would you?" Even though he didn't think he had to, Leo shook his head slightly. The man gave a bit of a chuckle and leaned back against the wall.
The moment his back hit the wall, Leo bore witness to none other then William bound to his Spring Bonnie suit.
But not the cleaned up version that Leo had spent months helping with.
No, this one was…gory.
Blood oozed from places that it shouldn't ever be, splatters of the red liquid looked like they had been thrown onto the suit haphazardly by the joints.
A red stained grin greeted him, and Leo did his best not to look at the guts hanging out.
Reflexively he gagged, even if nothing but liquid came up.
Spitting it out he scooted back, doing his best to stay calm.
"W…William…"
"Correct. Look at that, seems like you didn't kill all your brain cells." The gory rabbit man quipped before he faded back into a fairly normal looking man.
Ignoring the thinly veiled insult, Leo took a breath a hand going to his chest but not daring to touch the fresh wound.
"…a…are…you…are you in…here…?" He asked, vaguely motioning to his head.
"Look at that, two in row, someone's on a roll." Leo pursed his lips at that one but let out a breath and sat up straighter with a hiss and grit of his teeth.
"O…okay…so what now?" He asked, lifting his eyes to William again.
The man before him smirked and hopped down from where he sat. He came over and crouched before Leo grabbing his jaw.
The former guard swallowed as he gazed in those cold and calculating purple eyes.
If William's goal was to intimidate him…
It was working.
"Now? Well now that I've locked up your little protector…all I have to do is figure out how to bypass you."
"B…bypass?"
A bigger smirk lit William's lips, "yeah…bypass and repress. You're not going to last very long Leo. So why don't you just give up now and spend the rest of your days in blissful nothingness? I know you don't want to be here anymore….I know you don't see a point in living anymore. Surrender kid. Surrender and you won't suffer anymore." He said in a soft voice, and Leo gazed up at him…
And honest to goodness…there was a moment he was tempted. Nothingness sounded so much better then terror.
If William got out of hand the bots could handle him…Enix could handle him…especially with William trapped in a body like Leo's.
But there was a nagging in his brain…he felt it…he heard it, and the question spilled from his lips before he could stop it.
"…are you going to kill again?" It was barely a whisper, but William heard it. He however shook his head.
"Of course not. Why would I repeat the same thing that got me into this mess?"
The question without a expected answer was dropped….
But Leo did not feel reassured.
Without his consent…his vision got blurry and his throat tightened up.
***k.
"…you're lying…." That was barely a whimper.
William gazed at him a long moment…but he didn't deny it.
They both knew it.
"Well." The man stood releasing Leo's jaw and gazing down at him with those cold purple eyes. "I suppose I'm just going to have to break you first."
Uh oh…William has escaped…
What do you think that will entail? Remington and Colt plan on finding the kids do you think it's too late? What about Leo? has he truely lost it? Or is it just the tensions in the situation?
I'd love to hear what you think!
