Hello everyone! I hope you've all had a good week!
Ya know, sometimes it weirds me out to think about how long this fic has been going on…? Like…this is the 61st chapter, and I'm currently working on the 62nd. It's just…strange to think about. Out of all my projects this one has been going on the longest.
I suppose I'm just too dang attached to my short and grumpy druggie. Oh well.
Anyways, onto reviews
Silverleone: Yes…and no. This one is a bit more of a complicated situation. Yes, Lucy has developed Stockholm, it's natural for that to happen in her type of situation. But Acidrew…? It's a bit more complicated. I would like to say it's a clear cut situation, but I do have plans for Acidrew…and the last chapter was important, and will be much more important later on. You'll see ;). However! I will never discourage over analyzing of this story! That's exactly what I do, sometimes too much…I'm not someone to watch movies with…anyways, I'm so glad that I was able to invoke the overanalyzing in you! Reading in between lines and trying to find the reasoning of characters despite their front, that's exactly what I want you guys to do so thank you for the review and the over analyzing!
Davie Wilson: Thank you! I'm glad you liked it!
TU4QU0I53T4IAN6L3: Yeah their names are pretty similar, I get them mixed up a lot too. And I'm glad you could see the situation with Acidrew! I was hoping someone would be able to pick up what I was trying to say. Yes, he is crazy, messed up in the head, and makes some not so great choices. Is it just me or does that sound similar to one of our protagonist…? Hm, perhaps just me. And yes, Lucy has seen a side of Andrew that no one else has seen, except maybe Ennard…since he's around him all the time. And we shall have to see where Acidrew's arc leads him! I have plans for everyone. Will it be a happy ending? Will it not? That shall remain to be seen. I'm glad you liked the chapter!
I own nothing but my characters

Chapter 61
Of Rescues and Desperation
"It's like they've vanished completely." Grumbled Colt as he let out a hard breath leaning against the wall on Ballora's side of the control center.
Remington let out a breath, "are there any areas that you two are unaware of?" He asked patiently, and Colt let out a breath before throwing out his hands.
"Well, there may very well be. I apparently know nothing about my occupation." He let out another breath and Remington pursed his lips before turning to Ballora, she looked contemplative.
"There actually is another floor below the staff area. It's used for storage." She lifted her gaze to them, "and all the bots know about it."
At the statement they all shared a look before Colt took a breath.
"Well, then how do we get down there?" There was quiet for a moment as they each thought before, with lithe movements Ballora went over to broken hatch and crouched before it.
She placed both hands on either side of the hatch and with a groaning of her joints and the joint of the hatch, the lid came off with a hiss and pop. Colt was jerked aside by Remington as the lid flew past them and into the wall with a loud clang and rattle as it hit the ground.
Both men stared at it before looking to Ballora who turned to them, face plates shifting.
"Sorry." She stood up and motioned to the open hatch. "The only access point is on the staff floor."
After a moment, Colt nodded and headed over, getting on the ladder and climbing down, Remington soon followed suit.
Not long after they landed, Ballora let herself drop to the ground on her hands and feet, joints groaning as they took the brunt of the fall. She was back down on the ground resembling a spider like creature. She rose up twisting her top half around in order to right herself.
Colt glanced around trying to remember if he had seen any hatches.
"It wouldn't be a area you've been in." Ballora said as if reading his thoughts.
"Well, please lead the way then ma'am." Remington said, stepping aside for her.
The ballerina nodded and with lithe movements she headed down the hallway the two men glanced around before following.
"Once we find them…Foxy will probably try and stop us." Remington reminded them as they headed down the dark hallway, led by Ballora's eye beams that swept the floor before her.
"He believes your promises to be lies." She claimed softly, and Colt looked over with a frown.
"I have been nothing but honest with you guys." He informed sharply, she however paused and turned to look back at him. Lavender eyes almost soft.
"I know that, but my son has done a very effective job at making them all very distrusting of vows and promises." She then turned back to sweeping the floor to find the hatch.
Colt took a soft breath and rubbed his head.
**mned Andrew.
"Are either of you willing to decommission him if necessary?" Remington asked causing both animatronic and man to pause and look at their employer.
Both then cast down their eyes and thought.
"I won't let him hurt either of them." Colt said with a tensed jaw.
"If I have no other choice." The late Mrs Afton claimed softly.
Remington gazed at them a moment, his grey eyes calculating, before he gave a small nod and stole a soft breath.
"Alright."
Ballora nodded and turned back to the floors, "we must not waste anymore time speaking. Foxy has never been the patient type." With a nod, both men followed her as she turned a corner.
However they very nearly ran into the ballerina as she came to a halt.
"Ballora? Did you find the hatch…" Colt trailed off as he looked past her and at what waited at the end of the hallway.
He couldn't help but go rigid at the sight of Funtime Freddy.
The bot at the end of the hall giggled waving at them like a excited child.
"YoU caMe! BOnboN diDn't tHiNk You woUlD cOmE!" The bear declared, and the rabbit huffed, crossing his little arms.
Colt swallowed and took a step around Ballora, "yeah, of course we did, we have to find Lucy and Lucas…do you know where they are?" His tone was guarded, but he couldn't help it.
Out of all the bots, he and Circus baby had been the hardest to deal with.
Freddy opened his mouth to respond, only for Bonbon to clear his throat pointedly. The bear looked at him before blinking as his faceplates shifted.
Then he turned back to them, "I dOn'T thInK I shOuLD tElL yOu…"
Colt stepped forward taking a hard breath, "I think you should. Look, I know Andrew lied to you guys, but I have never lied to you, I still fully intend on helping you get out of here. But I need your help first. Please…I want to find my brother. I want to keep him safe." The mechanic pleaded, and for a moment the animatronic bear stood there, glancing between Colt and the mechanical bunny that made up his hand. "I have never lied to any of you." He continued taking a step forward. "I have helped you, I brought you to the surface and I will do it again. But I need your help right now." He claimed, taking yet another step forward. The bear watched him for a long moment.
"YoU prOmISE?" He asked, and Colt nodded now standing before the imposingly tall animatronic.
"Yes. I swear."
There were a few moments of tense silence, before the bear slowly nodded.
"Ok…I'Ll leT yOu iN thEre." Then without another word, he headed down the hallway. Colt let out a breath he didn't realize he had been holding.
He cared for his bots.
He could not say that he believed wholeheartedly that they wouldn't hurt him.
Ballora approached near silently, which was remarkable given her size and weight.
"You do well…speaking with them…with us." She claimed softly, and Colt took a hard breath.
"I try." Then without another word, he followed after Freddy, but kept at a safe distance.
The others trailed quietly behind.
The hatch opened with a creak, and slammed down on the ground with a thud making both humans flinch.
Freddy turned to them, his eyes glowing ominously in the darkness, "jUsT dowN thERE!" He claimed loudly causing everyone to wince.
"Thank you Freddy." Colt offered a smile as he headed down the hatch. Only to freeze as his arm was grabbed, slowly he lifted his gaze to the animatronic who gazed down at him with glowing eyes.
Everyone tensed for a moment.
"YoU wIlI geT uS oUt Of HerE." It wasn't a question, it was a order, Colt swallowed and nodded.
"I will."
There were a few tense moments where his arm was still held, and Freddy gazed down at him with calculating eyes.
Then finally, Colt was released, he let out a breath he didn't know he had been holding and nodded to the bear once more before climbing down the hatch.
What Freddy had said caused a pit of dread to pool in his gut.
Before this, when he thought the bots were on his side, he would have no problem bringing them to the surface. But the question had been raised.
If they are angry…would they do this again?
But would they be merciful enough to keep the kid alive?
…were they merciful enough this time?
Shaking his head and pushing his concern onto another time, Colt finished climbing down the ladder, noting that Remington was above him.
Once his feet hit solid ground he glanced around, peering into the darkness. But aside from the light that bled in from the hatch, there seemed to be no other source of it.
Remington landed next to him, and a soft thunk gave indication that Ballora had landed as well.
With a breath Colt turned to the ballerina, his stomach twisting up in knots, "are they down here-"
"Colt!?" The voice of his brother made Colt's attention to snap behind him, and into the darkness that lay beyond what the light from the hatch could reach.
"Lucas!?" He called stepping forward, however his arm was snatched by Ballora, and when he turned to tell her off…
"No! Don't come any closer! He's in here with us!" An unfamiliar girl's voice claimed, and there was a gasp that came from the CEO.
Colt grit his teeth but remained where he was.
***t.
"Foxy! Listen to me! You don't have to do this! I'm going to be letting you guys out! I promised and I never break my promises!" Colt claimed looking around and trying to spot the elusive pink and white fox.
"Harming these children will do nothing but hurt your chances of getting out of here as anything but scrap metal." Warned Ballora, her eyebeams sweeping the room.
There was a mechanical growl to their left that made everyone jump and look toward it.
"He always promised us! Always said we would be free if we hunt the girl. 'Hunt the girl and I'll let you out!' But he never did! What makes you any different then him?" The fox challenged, and Colt took a hard breath, restraining himself from being offended by the comparison.
"Did he make sure your systems were in proper working order? I didn't put any new protocols in you! I didn't alter your base systems! He did! He modified you all into something you were never supposed to be! Please, let me help these kids and let me help you! I got you out of here remember? You saw the light, the surface, and I'll do it again." He swore, glancing around hoping to catch sight of glowing eyes.
But Foxy had his turned off.
"…he took him." The fox claimed suddenly, making Colt frown until his eyes widened in realization.
"…your brother." That was whispered.
"He took his chip after destroying his body twice over. He told me if I kept the kids away from you, then he would give Lol a body again."
"He's lying to you again Foxy. He has no intention of helping you." Ballora claimed, stepping forward and looking around, "if you won't even believe Colt, why believe Acid?" She asked softly.
"Look, if you help me, I'll help you! We'll get back Lolbit. We'll get him a body. Please." The Byrd pled, and there was silence for a moment before the lights turned on blinding everyone for a moment.
But when they could see, their eyes fell on the two children before them.
Though child was a bit of a stretch for the red headed teenager that held Colt's brother.
Colt didn't waste a second before bolting over and taking Lucas into his arms.
The boy was wrapped in his hold as Colt took hard and fast breaths, "I'm so sorry…I'm so…so sorry Lucas…" he held him, his face growing wet, but it was nothing in comparison to Lucas who started crying hard, clinging to him desperately.
But all was well now, he had his brother back.
He didn't even notice that Foxy was no longer there.
Remington stood there, gazing at the girl before him. She gazed back up at him. If it wasn't for her red hair, and uniquely colored purple eyes…he wouldn't have recognized her.
"Lucy…?" He whispered, and the wide eyed stillness of his daughter broke as she choked back a sob.
"D…daddy…" she whimpered, and his breath caught in his throat as he came over crouching down before her and looking over her. Studying her features before slowly raising his hands and cupping her face in them. She choked on another sob, grabbing his hands with hers and pressing her face in his palms.
"Da…daddy…" she whimpered again, unable to get out anything else.
Remington couldn't get any words out, all he could do was pull her into his arms and hold her against his chest as she finally broke down and sobbed clinging to his shirt with her fists.
"D…daddy I'm so s…sorry!" She cried and his eyes widened as he looked down at her.
"Sorry for what? You didn't do anything wrong…" he stroked her hair gently and she sobbed more desperately clinging to him.
"I…I shouldn't…I shouldn't have trusted him…" she whimpered and he took a hard breath gently stroking her hair and holding her close.
"You were a child Lucy…you didn't know any better." That caused her to cry more but Remington just held her, gently rocking and stroking her hair.
"Shh…I've got you…it's gonna be okay now…no one is going to hurt you." At that she sobbed more, clinging to him and unable to get any more words out.
But that was okay, she was back now, and he would make sure she was safe, and no child who entered Fazbear's would be in her situation ever again.
"We can't keep waiting." Jamie muttered, worrying his lip as he glanced at the clock. "We have two hours before his deadline, and we don't even know if we can convince Fox to give him the recipes." He explained, turning to Enix, the taller man sighed and leaned against the stage, arms crossed.
Leo watched them both carefully.
The toys had retired to their room, but the originals and the children still lingered about. The children were playing cards while the originals hung around the three men.
"Well what else can we do?" Chica asked, looking up from where she gazed at her hand.
"Well…" Freddy started, eyeing Leo for a moment which made the man deeply uncomfortable. "There is always the option of rendering Leo unconscious." That made the guard tense up.
"Whoa, maybe thats a bit too far….." Enix started, but he was ignroed.
"It's either that or this snake guy comes and tortures him." Jamie countered, "and can't we just get sleeping pills?"
"Where are we going to get sleeping pills at this hour?" Enix asked with a sigh.
"Aye, and there is also no guarantee that the switch will occur. As Enix said, Fox be sleepin' all the time and he woke as himself." That was met with a few sighs and several contemplative looks.
"So what's the other option?" Chica asked softly, and there was a mocked sigh from Bonnie.
"Fear. That's what made William retreat last time. We…may have to scare Fox out of Leo…" he trailed off quietly, lifting his gaze to Leo, but Leo was staring at the table.
It didn't sound like they wanted his input anyways.
"…that might be the only option we have." Freddy claimed softly, causing Leo to swallow thickly.
"It's not that we want to scare you Leo." Chica claimed coming over causing Leo to look up swallowing again.
"I know…" he whispered.
"It's just…we don't know what he's capable of…it will be best just to give him the recipes." She explained, and Leo's hands curled into fists at his lap under the table.
He wouldn't say it.
But he couldn't help but wonder why they were so against killing this guy when there were shallow graves out back.
Though taking a breath, he pushed it aside. It was…for the best. Fox knew what these mysterious recipes were.
Leo had been scared a lot in the past few months.
What was one more?
"If…if that's what you have to do." He muttered, eyes dropping to the table again.
There was silence for a moment and Leo didn't catch the uncomfortable and uncertain look on Enix's face.
"Guys…I don't know about this…"
"It's either this, or that Benedict guy gets ahold of him." Jamie protested.
"We can hide him someplace until the guy gets bored." He proposed stepping forward.
"He won't give up…I don't remember him exactly, but I know he won't give up." Leo whispered, lifting his gaze. "We don't even know if Colt knows how to get Fox out." He shifted in his spot with a breath. "I don't think there is another way." No, he didn't want to do this, but was there even another option?
"There must be another-"
"We won't hurt him." Bonnie said, gazing at Enix. The man paused, gazing at the nightmarish rabbit.
"Maybe not physically." He informed softly, and Leo blinked gazing at him confused.
"We won't hurt him." The rabbit repeated firmly, and Enix sighed but raised his hands in surrender.
"Okay…so how do we do this?" Chica asked, clasping her hands together.
Leo was tense, even though he had no reason to be tense. Not really at least. They weren't going to hurt him.
They said they weren't.
But sitting in the middle of the pizzeria in the dark with no one around…
Well it was a little anxiety inducing.
He would be fine.
They wouldn't hurt him.
However he couldn't help but tense at the sound of footsteps. The familiar thunking noises that brought him back to his early days here.
And those days hadn't been pleasant.
He sat on his hands taking deep and controlled breaths.
He knew he was supposed to be afraid, but he couldn't help but try and calm himself down.
"And…these guys are your friends…?" William asked, reminding Leo that he wasn't entirely alone.
And was it bad that he was…comforted slightly by that?
He was immediately distracted when the sound of a creaking door made him jump and look toward the kitchen.
Who was there? Chica?
He swallowed again.
Freddy's ominous laugh echoed through the room and Leo inhaled sharply, bunching up his shoulders.
His head started itching where Chica had bit him, his leg and wrist pulsed an old ache and he could feel himself shaking.
They wouldn't hurt him…
They wouldn't hurt him…
A hand landed on his shoulder and pain shot through him like angry fire.
Even if it was only a light tap.
A scream ripped from his throat and he scrambled from his chair and kicked it toward the offender. There was a surprised shout but Leo ignored it, getting up and turning to run only to collide with metal covered in raggedy fabric.
Stumbling back at the impact, he lifted his gaze only to feel light headed at the sight of Freddy standing before him.
His mouth felt dry and he stumbled back, "n…no…please…" he stammered glancing around between Bonnie and Freddy as he backed away from them. Only to back into another bot.
He flinched away like he had been burned, jerking around and staring wide eyed at a crouched over Foxy, his tongue swinging from his mouth as he snarled stepping forward. Leo was heaving for breath, pain flashing through his shoulder as he stumbled back tripping over his own feet as he went.
"N…no! Wait! I'm sorry!" Why did he come back here!? They were going to kill him!
However they didn't listen, granted when had they listened to him?
His arms were suddenly grabbed by jagged hands that had pieces that pinched his arms painfully.
Pain flashed through his head, Chica, it was Chica.
His vision grew blurry and he panted hard and fast going light headed. The animatronics before him grew impossibly large, their bodies distorting even further into a mash between animal and machine. Snarling with blood dripping down their chops as they stalked further toward him.
Leo couldn't get enough air in his lungs and he didn't understand why.
He struggled like a mad man heaving for breath tears dripping down his face.
"STOP! STOP! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY DON'T HURT ME!" He screamed, unable to get anything else out. He could barely hear anything over the booming laughter in his ears. He clawed, kicked and struggled like a madman. "LETMEGOLETMEGOLETMEGO!" He screamed, hyperventilating.
"Hey! Put him down!" A unfamiliar voice broke through the chaotic noise around him, and broke the scene around him.
Panting and trembling, Leo lifted his head only for his eyes to widen as he watched the girl…the music lady pick up a chair from one of the tables and slam it over the head of Bonnie.
The nightmarish rabbit let out a surprised yelp stumbling forward and the lady turned to face him and Chica who was holding him, still wielding the chair over her head. "Put him down NOW!" She demanded her friendly face twisted up in anger.
"I…uh…ma'am you don't understand-"
"Don't care! Put him down!" She ordered, lifting the chair again, Bonnie got up and looked back at her, eyes flickering into a dark red.
Leo spotted this.
"No! Don't hurt her!" He ordered sharply, the girl noticed this and backed up holding the chair ready to hit anyone.
"Whoa! Whoa! Hold up!" Enix's voice called as he hurried into the room. Jamie following behind.
"No! We are not doing anything until that burnt chicken puts him down!" The woman that Leo couldn't remember the name of ordered again.
Enix wet his lips before taking a breath, "Chica, put him down."
Leo was placed on the ground and almost collapsed as his knees shook under him, but before he could get his bearings, his arm was grabbed and he was pulled away from the bots and quite efficiently placed behind the chair wielding woman.
"Okay. Someone needs to tell me what the ***l is going on and why none of you seem to care that he was about to ***King pass out from fear." She ordered, the chair lowered but still ready to use.
Leo however slowly lowered to his knees hugging himself and taking hard and deep breaths, staring wide eyed at the ground.
"We will explain everything…but you gotta understand, its not what you think, they weren't going to hurt him." Enix insisted, and the woman didn't say anything.
"Then ***king explain before I call the cops." She threatened, and the blue haired guard took a deep breath.
"We…well…" he took a hard breath. "You might want to sit down for this." He explained, and there was quiet for a moment.
"Fine." There was the sound of the chair moving but Leo didn't look up at that. "Are you okay?" That question however made him raise his gaze to the woman before him.
He was shaking…why was he shaking…?
"Y…yeah…" he stammered, swallowing thickly. His eyes flickered over to the bots who stood there now awkwardly.
But his attention was redirected to her when she spoke again.
"Can you stand or do you want to stay on the ground?" He looked at her blinking, her voice was soft…her eyes were kind.
"F…floor…" he finally managed out, he didn't trust his legs to carry him to a table.
That earned him a smile…for some reason…"Okay! Then the floor it is." She then moved from her crouched position to sitting cross legged next to him. Then she turned to look at Enix clasping her hands in her lap, face a bit pensive.
"Explain."
Enix sighed and shifted glancing at the bots before opening his mouth. "Well…it all started with this guy named William…"
The children have been rescued! Yay!
What did you guys think of the funtimes? That's probably the most I've written with them in the fic, hopefully when I get back to Colt's story you'll be able to see more of them and their relationships with him. And why did Acidrew take Lolbit? What would his plans be for having him? What about the original's plan? Or even Piper's intervention? Who do you think was in the right? Piper or the bots? How do you think they will handle Benedict now?
I'd love to hear what you think!
