Hello everyone! Bit of a delay, but dangit this chapter didn't want to be written. Anyways! Here we are, and just a heads up for the next chapter!
The next chapter is NOT going to be canon.
What? Why's that? (You might be asking…)
Weellll, someone had put in a request for a vacation time. And I had think about it, cause it's a good idea, buuuut, unfortunately, there wasn't really a way for me to fit it into current events and have it make sense where we are at. A lotta stuff is happening right now, whether it be behind the scenes or up in the forefront. Seeing how it wouldn't really make sense for current events, my friend suggested it not be in current events!
Or rather, it not be directly in the storyline we are in.
So what does this entail?
Well, because it's not canon, I can have a bit of fun eh? Like having certain characters interacting who don't normally interact with each other. Have antagonist hang out with mains and not have to worry about the logic of it. I will announce it again at the beginning of the next chapter, but just wanted to give a heads up.
After the next chapter we will continue our regularly scheduled (haha…scheduled… :')) programming.
Now! Onto the reviews.
Davie Wilson: I'm glad!
TU4QU0I53T4IAN6L3: Ah yes, Piper, and I'm glad to have cleared your suspicions of her! Does she know more about Leo then she is telling? Perhaps, we shall have to see. And yes, she is more reasonable which is definitely something they all need. And yes, they are brats, but at least Fritz and Jeremy are trying…?
Silverleone: Yup! 62 chapters in and you now know Leo's full name! Also, not saying anything in either direction. As for Fox? He would be upset, but he's a bit…preoccupied at the moment. As for Vanny? I have plans…I have Security breach mapped out in my head. And hehe…:D that's going to be fun.
Nightspark69: (Sorry, forced me to capitalize the n) I'm so glad! And heres another chapter!
Thewritingboi: (Autocaps, sorry) I dunno when you will see this, but honestly? There isn't much he can get in this little town, so probably relatively common ones, pot, crack, that kinda stuff. (I'm not really drug savvy either…)
I own nothing but my characters and ideas.

Chapter 63
Are you sure?
William gazed at the bolted up door before him, jaw tensed and hands clenched. Finally he swung it open with a twitch of his wrist.
Out came Fox, stumbling forward and landing on the ground heaving for breath. His clothes were in tatters, his hair in disarray.
And he did not look happy.
But William did not care, "you did this on purpose didn't you?" He demanded, and Fox looked up, flipping up his chaotic hair.
"Did what Willy!? If you haven't noticed, I've been a bit preoccupied!" He snapped, and William grabbed him by his hair and hauled him up with a snarl.
"You intentionally made noise to attract the woman and that little ****H didn't you?" He threw him from him, tossing the smaller man to the ground.
Fox grunted and glared up at him with a bared teeth grin. "So what if I did old man!? You can't do anything about it!"
William snarled and stepped forward, "I'll kill her, I'll kill her and the idiot!" He raged, and Fox huffed getting to his feet.
"So you keep saying."
"You do realize that your little scheme won't work. The ****h is stubborn, but Leo's tendencies drive everyone against him. You of all people know that best." He snapped, and Fox let out a breath giving a shrug.
"Maybe she will, maybe she won't. Only time will tell." Fox took a breath and tried to tame his hair.
William turned to pace taking deep and controlled breaths, "I'm tired of this insolence. This was supposed to be easy, Spring Bonnie never put up as much of an issue." He grumbled, and Fox let out a breath crossing his arms.
"Spring Bonnie is also an animatronic. Not a human. He was made to contain someone else. Humans were not."
William came to a halt, his brow pinched, before he took a breath and placed his hands in his pockets.
"Well, then I best get to work." At that Fox paused a deep frown encompassing his face.
"Get to work on what?" But William didn't answer, he flicked his wrist and the door swung open, striped tentacles emerged causing Fox to swear and try to stop them, but it was futile, he was grabbed and snatched back into the dark room. The door slammed shut, locked and dead bolted.
William sighed, rubbing his chin.
"This might prove to be difficult."
"Andrew? Might I ask you a question?" Henry's voice made Acid look up from where he was working on one of the fire starters that was to go under the floors.
"Yeah? What is it?"
Henry took a breath and looked over his shoulder where Ennard was, using his various cords and wires to help with the construction. He had his clown mask back on.
Don't want him to be too horrifying.
"Is…that…thing-"
"His name is Ennard." Andrew corrected swiftly.
Henry glanced at him before clearing his throat and gazing at Ennard again. "Is…Ennard…" he pursed his lips and turned to Andrew, "is he haunted…? You know…like the others?"
But Andrew shook his head, "no, he isn't." He turned back to the device, turning it over in his hands. "He hasn't killed anyone."
Unfortunately.
"Heh…well, thats a good thing…cause that means he's working right then huh? After all…he was designed to be a part of the funtimes group right?" The man questioned with the familiar quiver in his voice that reminded him of when Henry would speak to Andrew's father.
Henry had always been a timid man, that's probably why he and William got along so well.
Acid's father had a tendency to control the situation around him, and with Henry's indecisiveness and timidity. It was the perfect match for business partners.
So when Andrew turned and smiled good natured, he had no doubt that Henry would believe his next words. "Of course!"
The man gazed at him a moment, eyes dancing around all uncertain, before he nodded.
"Yeah. Of course." He glanced at Ennard again, looking uneasy but went back to work.
Andrew watched him go before lifting his gaze to the amalgamation of cords and wires.
Catching his gaze, Ennard lifted his head and gazed at him. At the gaze Acid got up and came over. As he did Ennard pulled all of his cords back into place.
"Have you seen him?" Acid's voice was hushed and the robot glanced about the room before looking at him again.
"Yesssss, at night, when you have left, I ssstay in the ventssss…there I ssssee him, working with the old man. The plan sssssimilar to you." His face twisted up more in delight. "I may not have killed him massster, but he issss deformed beyond recognition…he can never return to your human ssssociety." Acid nodded before rubbing his chin.
"Has he told Henry what happened to him?"
"Wearsss a masssssk. Sssaysss it wasss a car acsssdent." Acid couldn't help but snort.
"Must've been a real bad accident then." He took a breath and glanced around the building, catching sight of Henry going through paperwork in the main room.
"He's as foolish and naive as he was back when I was a child. And in a few months time, he, my brother, and all that rotten lot will be gone. I'll help father take the druggie's body for good and he will help me give Lizzie a body of her own." He then frowned, "only problem is looking at that druggie and calling him father for the rest of our lives." He took a breath then scoffed, "imagine that loser as a father, sheesh."
"We ssshould get back to work." Hissed Ennard, and Andrew glanced at him before nodding.
"Yeah. The sooner this is all done the better."
"We need to get the bots back in their original bodies." Enix announced as he took a seat across from Leo.
The guard looked up and blinked, "I don't…disagree. But I thought only Joey could do it. Isn't she still in a coma or something?" He asked, only taking minor note as Piper pulled up a seat next to him.
"Who's in a coma?"
Enix glanced at her, "Joey, she's a mechanic who works on the bots, and we assume she knows how to handle the chips and all." He sighed before turning back to Leo, "I know...I know, but one of the kids caught sight of Bonnie today." The man insisted, and Leo winced, just imagining how that kid must've felt.
Possibly similar to how Leo felt every time he looked at the rabbit.
"Okay…yeah, that's bad. But how do we get the chips out and back into their original slots? None of us our mechanics and Colt refuses to do it." Leo claimed, before pausing with a breath, "not that we've seen much of him lately anyways."
"I know…I know, but what if another kid sees? Then another? Remington will have our **ses if we mess up the reputation he is trying so hard to build up." That made Leo sigh as he leant back in his seat.
"Well…it's just pulling out the right card…right? Why is that so complicated?" Piper inquired, her brow pinched.
Enix sighed, "yes and no, according to Colt there are a lot of different processes you have to do before you can even access the chip. And if those get messed up, it could corrupt the bots programming…and well, them."
After a moment Piper nodded, "yeah…we probably need someone who knows how to do it then." The two men nodded as well.
"I know how." Leo stiffened up and looked back at William, as he did his shoulders slumped, frankly Leo had hoped that he had been too angry to reappear.
Apparently he was wrong.
"Well, that doesn't help us because you aren't coming out." He paused then frowned, "plus there is no guarantee that you won't try and sabotage it."
"Leo?" Enix asked, and the guard took a breath.
"William claims to know how to switch the chips." But at that Enix scoffed.
"Oh, sure, like we would let the child murderer anywhere near the animatronics again."
"Agreed, we should just…wait it out?" Piper trailed off into a question glancing between the two men.
"Maybe…we could figure it out? If we find the workshop where the bots were built. Maybe we could get their blueprints." Enix proposed.
"Don't forget we need to retrieve the Puppet's chip as well." Piper reminded, and Leo let out a breath.
"Pretty sure that nightmare creature is back at the Afton house. But it's likely that Acid is hiding out there. Who knows how he's fortified it." The guard muttered with a huff of a breath.
"…but the plans could be there as well." Enix paused looking contemplative. "There may even be a way to get William out of your head Leo." At that the guard looked up and glanced at William.
But the apparition just gazed at them all impassively.
Leo wished he knew what he was thinking.
"Maybe…" He hesitated and turned to them, "perhaps I should stay here then. I wouldn't want to be down there and William takes over…"
"And sabotages things. Yeah. That's probably for the best." Enix sighed, "plus we would technically be breaking and entering…we don't need for you to get caught." Rolling back his shoulders the man bit his lip in thought. "I should probably go."
"I'll stay here with Leo while you're gone." Piper chirped, before turning to Leo, "if that's alright with you of course."
Leo blinked, it was funny, it still caught him off guard every time she acknowledged him. Acknowledged that he had an opinion in things.
"Y…yeah that's fine." He muttered, and she smiled before turning to Enix.
"Then it's settled! You go fetch the Puppet's chip and the blueprints while we manage here." She claimed, and Enix nodded.
"Alright, wish me luck."
He left the pizzeria with a chime of the door bell. Leo sighed and looked around.
Today hadn't been so bad, there had only been two tantrums. It even seemed like Jeremy was getting better about performing.
"He's not bothering you right?" Piper's question came out of the blue and Leo jumped before turning to look at her.
"W…what? Who?"
Her eyes flickered about him, as if she could see something there, but swiftly turned back to him with pursed lips. "William. Is he bothering you?"
"Me? I haven't even said anything!" The ghost protested, and Leo let out a breath glancing at him.
"No…he just reappeared a few moments ago." He sighed turning back to her, "I'm just tired is'all." He rested his chin on his arms.
"You seem it." She mimicked his pose, her head tilted slightly, "forgive me if I'm crossing a line…but are you scared that if you fall asleep he will take over?" The question was in a whisper, as if no one else should hear it.
Leo blinked gazing at her wide eyed, but before he could respond. Familiar thunking footsteps made the bots' presence known. He looked up, tensing at the sight of the nightmares.
Though oddly enough, instead of their child counterparts they were joined by the toys.
"Guys?" He prompted with an eyebrow raise.
Steven looked over first and let out a mocked breath, "Fritz got his jaws stuck again." At that Leo blinked and Foxy let out a mocked breath.
"Aye, the hinge there was gettin' a bit worn, and with all that yapperin' the kiddo does, it ain't surprising." He claimed and Leo let out a breath.
"Okay…does he need oil or something…?" Steven nodded at his question.
"Yeah, problem is, kid needs Enix. He won't let anyone else touch 'im." That made Leo take a deep breath.
"Well. I suppose he is just going to have to wait. Cause Enix just left."
Enix stared up at the large and imposing house.
It was clear that it was the eyesore of the quaint little neighborhood. The paint was peeling, the yard was not maintained, and the wood on the stairs appeared to be rotting.
The ominous look it had to it is probably why people veered away as they walked by. Taking the furthest route from the house to avoid it entirely.
And Enix was going inside…willingly…again.
Taking a breath, the man glanced around, taking in the darkened neighborhood and heading up to the door when no one was around.
At first, he tried the doorknob, in some faint hope that it would be easy. But when it wouldn't budge he sighed and looked around trying to find a different way in.
There was a window that was cracked open ever so slightly, and if he could figure out how to get the screen off, he could push it open enough to climb inside.
With a breath he glanced around again before going over and using what little nails he had to grip the edge of the screen and trying to remove it. It took several attempts and a few hissed swears, but eventually the screen came off.
Gently he set it upon the ground and then proceeded to slowly push open the window. Once he was confident it was high enough for him. He grasped the edge of the window, and with a grunt and clench of his teeth he pulled himself up and through the window.
Enix was glad he was alone as he awkwardly shuffled through the window and landed unceremoniously on the dusty carpet.
His landing resulted in a puff of dust to fly up, hitting him in his face.
And as a result, before he could stop it, a sneeze escaped him. Followed by another…and one after that.
When his nose seemed satisfied, he tensed and looked around the dark room. There was light bleeding through the closed doorway. But from what he could make out, he was in some kind of home office.
It didn't appear to have been touched in many years.
With a soft breath, the man slowly rose to his feet and crept across the carpet and over to the door.
He hoped his sneezes didn't alert anyone who might be residing here.
And in hopes of detecting just that, the man leant up against the door pressing his ear against it.
There was indistinguishable chatter that seemed to be coming from the TV. And very…very faintly, Enix heard snoring.
Someone was here…was it Acid? Was that creature with him?
Enix needed to get down to the basement. Leo had mentioned once before that there was a bunch of stuff about the bots down there. That's where the blueprints would be.
And hopefully the monster version of the puppet as well.
Now that Enix was here, he realized he would have to remove the chip himself…thus reading the blueprints.
He really should've brought some help…
Where had Ashford gone to recently anyways?
Shaking his head from the thought, Enix too a silent breath and grasped the handle, slowly he turned it and pushed the door open a crack.
He looked through the crack and found that it was indeed Acid sleeping on the couch.
Now Acid was a full grown man, and Enix's senior by over a decade.
But sometimes he looked and acted so young, one would never know that.
And apparently sleep was one of those times.
To be honest Enix had been fairly certain that the man never slept.
Around him on the couch was tools, and some kind of cylindrical device.
Though what it's purpose was, Enix couldn't tell.
However, with Acid being asleep, it did allow him to sneak past him and downstairs hopefully without incident.
Hopefully that nasty bot was asleep as well. Enix couldn't spot him, even when he silently opened the door fully. There was no sight of the thing, and Enix allowed himself to hope that it was asleep someplace else.
With a breath he stepped out of the room and slowly started making his way to the stairs by the back door of the house.
Enix glanced occasionally at Acid, just to make sure he was still asleep.
The man was out.
Letting out a silent breath, Enix crept down to the basement, wincing and stopping to wait after every creak, but nothing.
Finally he made it down to the dark basement, and it took a few moments to find the light switch. And when it turned on he blinked at the fluorescent lighting that hummed softly.
The room was decently large. There was a metal bolted up doorway that likely led to the rentals place downstairs.
There were three main tables, all metal and covered in all sorts of stuff. There was also old frosting globs on the table that told Enix that Acid frequented down here.
Shaking his head the man crept further into the room looking around for anything that resembled blueprints.
That was when his eyes fell onto a picture frame that was ajar on the table.
Curiosity got the better of him, and he went over scooping it up.
It was a family portrait, what appeared to be a young Acid stood right up next to a man that Enix could only assume was William. There was a lady there, soft features that seemed to match Acid's much more then William's did.
Then there was a dark haired boy holding a plush of what appeared to be a old Freddy model. He stayed by the mother, sucking his thumb. Then there was the last member, standing in the center, blonde curls bouncing as she gazed up at the camera with a big smile. She wore pig tails and had a bright smile on her face.
She, Acid and the mother were the only ones who smiled.
Enix gazed at William a moment, and was satisfied to find that he looked like as much of a ***hole as he was now.
Taking a breath he moved to put the picture down only to freeze as he caught the reflection of a horrifying version of the puppet.
One who was currently reaching toward him silently.
Enix jerked away turning to face the slender bot. It seemed he had been hanging from the ceiling.
"You ssshouldn't have come here…" it hissed out, getting closer and causing Enix to stumble back more.
"Funnily enough I was coming here to get you! It's been awhile hasn't it Puppet? Charlie really misses you ya know." He claimed placing the picture down and going around the table to create some kind of barrier between them. But it proved to be fruitless when the monster crept more toward him, climbing over the tables with ease.
"Where issss he?" The thin animatronic hissed, and Enix swallowed, turning and continuing to back up to keep a distance away from him.
"Where's who?" He had a feeling he knew who he was asking about but it was better to feign ignorance.
"Leeeeeo. Where issss he?" Hissed the bot and Enix swallowed. He couldn't bring him back to the pizzeria. Leo had made so much progress.
He doesn't cuss the bots out every time they approach him now.
Bringing the Puppet back with this state of mind would only send the shorter guard into a downward spiral.
"Not here. I'm here to get your chip Puppet, that and the blueprints to the bots." He explained, before taking a breath, warily watching those long tentacle-like arms. "If you help me, I can get you back to the pizzeria, back with Charlotte again. You want that…right?" He asked, lifting his gaze to the disturbing mask.
The monstrous Puppet stopped in his tracks and gazed down at Enix who had also come to a halt.
"Charlotte…musssst…protect…" he hissed, twitching a bit. Enix lit up a bit at that and nodded.
"Yes! Yes and she needs you right now Puppet, so I need you to help me find the blueprints so you can be with her again." He claimed taking a small and hopeful step forward.
The gaped mouth Puppet stared back at him, white eyes shifting about. Before then looking around the room, eyes landing on a metal chair that looked like it was used for restraining someone. "I know what happened heeeere." He hissed out. Enix frowned at the change in topic and followed his gaze.
"What happened here…?" He asked, an uneasy feeling washing over him.
"He took hiiiim…" the Puppet sneered, before going over to the chair and running a hand over it. "He's innn himmm." Enix wet his lips nervously, especially when the Puppet's thin hand curled into a fist. "He can hurt more…" he snapped his head toward Enix, who jumped back startled. "I mussssst killlll himmmmm." There must've been a bug going on with the voice box of this body. As the more he spoke, the more distorted his voice became.
And the distorted voice only made Enix more anxious, "you mean Leo…don't you?" He asked with a swallow. The Puppet leaned in.
"William cannot be allowed to kill agaaaain." He said firmly, and Enix took a breath shaking his head.
"And I agree with you! But killing Leo isn't the solution! He has William under control."
"Yesss but for how looong?" He tilted his head making Enix swallow. "How looong can he prevent the murderer from murdering? What if it's another child? Or one of you? What if William tried to get rid of you?" Enix let out a breath unease stirring within him.
"C'mon, he can't be that dangerous in Leo's body. I could easily overpower him." He scoffed, and Puppet stared at him for a long moment. A moment too long for Enix's taste.
"Are you sure?"
The question made Enix swallow, cause now…he wasn't.
So, quite a bit happened, William is planning something, but what is it? Andrew seems determined about his plan, do you think it will succeed? What of Enix? Will he be able to convince the Puppet that Leo can handle things?
Also, bonus question, what are some character interactions you guys would like to see in the next chapter?
I'd love to hear what you think!
