The day was very clear and sunny. People were all zooming past, ignoring the beauty of nature. If nature just all of the sudden grabbed a car and threw it across the city these people wouldn't even notice. It just served them right.
Finally, Maddilyn came up to Wriggly's magic and sorcery shope. Inside it smelled like old stuffed animal pelts and cheap perfume. A fat man in his late 50'scame up to Maddilyn. "May I help you?"
"Um... Yeah. I'm looking for Mr. Wriggly."
"Yeeesss." Mr. Wriggly sounded like the old creepy troll you'd see in movies. "How may I help you, madam?"
"Well uh... Shadow sent me here to get proper witch clothes. Do you think you can help me with that?"
"Yes anything for a friend of Shadow's." He licked his lips. "This will be going on his tab, correct?"
"Yes." Maddilyn didn't see how a magic shop would get her clothes.
"What magic do you specialize in?" Mr. Wriggly was taking her measurements.
"Spiders." She was confused. "Is that one of the special types of magic?"
"Yes, that will do." He stepped back. "Wait here."
The short man ran off into the back room. Cutting, ripping and a sewing machine could be heard from the back room. It sounded like there was more than one person working in the back. After 45 mineuts had passed, Mr. Wriggly popped out of the back room carrying her clothes.
"Here you are." Mr. Wriggly set them on the counter. "I have one more thing to bring out. I won't be more than a moment."
The little troll-like man came back carrying more clothes. Maddilyn grabbed the clothes and was glad to be out of the creepy store. She could still feel the cold on the back of her neck and what was with that creepy shop owner? He just gave her the hebie-jebies.
She headed down the street carrying her new clothes. The streets were crowded so she had to push her way through the crowd. Maddilyn guessed this is what Robert meant by rush hour.
When she got on James Avenue the traffic was a bit better. She saw that Janet was home; that was going to be a problem. How was Maddilyn supposed to explain her new clothes? Maddilyn used Silk Bind to hide them and walked into the house. Janet came out of the kitchen. "Hi, Maddy! I made Lunch."
"Thanks, Janet but I'm not all that hungry." Maddilyn headed up stairs. "Sorry."
She walked into her room and undid the Silk Bind. "I got the clothes you wanted me to get."
"That's good." Shadow had set Luna on the bed. "Now you can put those in the suit case. I packed the other one for you. It has food, money, care products, magical gems, potions, books, remidies and your electronics."
"Wait. What was that last part?"
"Your electronics? I thought you would-"
"No. Before that." Maddilyn interrupted.
"Food?"
"The part about magical stuff."
"Oh. You'll need those for when I teach you more magic." Shadow looked at her. "They are very important."
"Okay." She packed her clothes.
"Maddy! Would you like to watch some T.V. with me?" Janet called
"Sure." She called down. "Be there in a second."
