Aight, a long BUT IMPORTANT AN:
I'm going to admit something right here. Some of the universes you guys ask me to do, I have no idea what they are. Like, I know OF them. But I never watched/played them myself. So I can do one of two things:
Option 1: I could stick with the topics I am most comfortable with. This would make it so chapters would come out FASTER but I would not be able to make chapters around some of the universes you want me to. Basically, quantity over quality.
Option 2: I could research the topics you want me to write about. This would make chapters come out much, much, much, much, MUCH slower. With an emphasis on MUCH. However, I would be able to post chapters on some of the topics you want me to. I must also add the fact that I have school. Doing research alongside other topics might get information mixed up in my head, leading to a lower quality chapter. Basically quality over quantity, but the quality is not guaranteed.
Personally, I would prefer option 1. But that's just because I'm lazy and don't want to do research. If you want me to do option 1, put a 1 in the review. If you want option 2, put 2 in the review.
Also, apologies to anybody who may have felt singled out or offended by my last AN. That was not my intention. Sorry.
I also feel like I don't have enough CHARACTER, and I'm mostly just copying text onto paper and putting half hearted reactions. The ace ops, NPR, and Tai are kinda sinking into the background, and most reactions are one liners just to break up text every once in a while. I might make a chapter solely dedicated to character interaction/growth. Maybe introduce characters from other multiverses, alternate universes, or just interdimensional travelers. Maybe even insert more of the RWBY cast. It'd be funny to write the RWBY cast reacting to O. Ruby and O. Weiss making out.
Oh god. After the last chapter, I keep writing "Wright" instead of "Write."
Regarding some of your requests. I will NOT make this a Jaune-centric fic. No. No. No. No. No. There are WAY too any of them out there. I mean, sure, Jaune is an interesting character. But Jaune fics are, in my humble opinion, way overdone and overrated. I'm not saying every author who writes Jaune fics is like this, but I feel like Jaune fics nowadays are just ways to fasttrack up the favorite list. That being said, I will try to avoid being TOO Ruby-centric as well.
Also, I want to avoid doing reaction chapters of universes that have already been reacted to. And yes, this will be unavoidable after time. And some of you might say that One Punch Man has already been done. I know. This is a different episode though, so it's fairly different.
Also, with the rating being bumped up to M, I feel obligated to use profanity. Especially on Qrow. But I don't want to force it too much, but there will be an occasional "Shit", "Fuck", "Damn" and the like. If you don't like it… well it's rated M for a reason. You don't have to read this if you don't want to.
This was much longer than I intended, but that's all I have to say. Enjoy the story.
Disclaimer: I do not own RWBY, One punch man, blah blah you've heard all this shit before.
"Hey, sis. How're you holding up?" Yang asked quietly.
Ruby just whimpered. She had tucked her knees in and wrapped herself in her cloak. Yang took a deep sigh.
"I don't think you were old enough to remember when mom died." Yang started. "But when she did, everything sorta stopped. Dad went into a drunk spree that made Qrow look sober. Qrow tried to take care of us when he could, but he could only pop in every once in a while. I was basically stuck taking care of you for a while."
Ruby could remember a little from that time. Yang would make her small meals, read her bedtime stories, and tuck her in. Whenever she asked Yang when mom was coming home, Yang would put on a fake (she didn't realize at the time) smile and reassure her that she would come home soon. She never did.
"But I was a child taking care of another child. I was still prone to doing stupid things." Yang paused, thinking how to word her next sentences. "I don't think you remember, you were asleep at the time. I was… I was looking for another mom." Yang half-lied.
Ruby peered at her from underneath her cloak. "Another mom?" She asked both curiously and accusingly.
Yang let out a nervous laugh and rubbed the back of her neck. "Yeah. I knew no mom could replace OUR mom, but my child-like thought process was different. I thought that if I could get somebody to be our mom, then dad would stop locking himself in his room. That I wouldn't have to be so stressed taking care of you." Yang sighed. "I put you on a wagon. I thought that surely when somebody saw my cute little sister, they would be too entranced by you to leave us alone.
Ruby let out a giggle, and Yang had to suppress a smile.
"But I was young and naive at the time. I got lost in the woods, and pulling you around had tired me out. I guess being tired, scared, and sad must have smelled like a feast, cuz a Grimm decided to come in. I couldn't even scream from how tired I was, but I'm thankful for that now. If I had, you would have woken up." Yang closed her eyes, probably in disappointment at herself. "Uncle Qrow had found us just in the nick of time. Just as the Grimm was about to attack, he came from nowhere and saved us. He was mad, but dad was furious. In the end though, I succeeded. Dad started caring for us, scared I would pull something like that again."
Yang paused, making sure Ruby was still listening.
"After that though, I realized something. Mom wouldn't have wanted us to do all that. Mom would have wanted us to move on, because she cared for us. She would have wanted us to be safe. Sure, being sad is fine, but we have to move on. I'm sure most people would want their loved ones to move past them. Not to forget, but to move past and live our own life." Yang rubbed Ruby's back comfortably. "Thinking of the dead too long will hurt yourself. Trust me, I learned that the hard way."
Yang then reached up and ruffled her hoodas Ruby let out a whine. "Now how long are you gonna hide under there?" Ruby let out a huff and pulled her hood back.
She pouted at Yang, but Yang laughed it off and slapped Ruby on the back. O. Ruby then appeared in a gust of rose petals, cutting off most of the conversation in the cinema.
"I managed to get a universe while one of the big fights is happening!" O. Ruby squealed. "This universe is a bit weird, so I'll give you a rundown. This is basically an alternate earth. Some people are trained, given, or birthed with a certain power. These people sometimes then go into a program called the "Hero Association" to become heroes, which is basically this world's version of huntsman. The Hero Association ranks heroes based on their power, intellect, or other strengths. It ranges from rank C to rank S, S being the highest. These heroes are then deployed to take care of threats. Tiger, which is a threat that can cause a massive loss of life, Demon, which can halt the function of a whole city, Dragon, which can halt the function of multiple cities, and God, which threatens the continuity of the human race." Ruby shot off quickly, trying to get the facts out as fast as possible.
"Right now, all the S rank heroes along with somebody else that would take too long to explain were called to the Hero Association HQ in order to deal with a threat that a prophet had foreseen. But then, they are attacked by ALIENS!" O. Ruby yelled dramatically.
"This is starting to sound like a really bad action movie." Yang whispered to Blake.
'Space travel? But what did they use to propel themselves?' Ozpin wondered.
"These aliens are super duper powerful, so they get ranked as a God level threat. Now all the S class heroes plus that one guy have to fight against a bunch of space pirates. Anyways, you're all caught up, so let's not miss the rest of iiiiiitttttt!" O. Ruby exclaimed.
The camera pans down from an impressively large spaceship.
"How did they manage to make something so huge and impressive look like it was made from spare metal in a scrapyard?" Yang wondered.
'Looks don't matter. If I can get my hands on that technology… well, we could probably fly right over to the Grimlands.
The shot pans down to show two figures standing on a roof.
"Is that… a kid? And a robot?" Jaune questioned.
'They both remind me of Penny, the cool backpack and the electronic body." Ruby mused.
"He's actually a cyborg. And before you ask, the kid is in fact an S class hero. His hero name is Child Emperor, and his specialty is robotics. He can create and use droids and other electronics to aid in battle and other catastrophes." O. Ruby explained. "The other hero's name is Demon Cyborg. He has multiple mechanical enhancements that mostly deal with fire. He can expel large amounts of fire to incinerate his enemies or use boosters to increase his speed."
"This looks bad." Child emperor said. He is typing away on a retractable screen from his backpack.
Demon cyborg looks at him questioningly. Child Emperor finishes using his tablet, showing large amounts of activity in the back of the ship.
"It seems similar to Atlas tech. It's showing lots of energy and heat at the back, but that's all I can decipher." Winter mulled.
The shot cuts to a different building that has civilians and emergency first responders around it.
"Is that confirmed?" A deep voiced man in a suit asked. He seems to be talking on the phone.
"Yes, the Child Emperor said that the energy level in the spaceship is rapidly rising." A voice over the phone responded. Doctors are giving emergency treatment in the background.
"What happened to them?" Weiss asked curiously.
O. Ruby rolled her eyes. "I already told you they were attacked by aliens. That giant spaceship we saw? It's as big as a whole city. Now let's say every part of the bottom of that space ship has a cannon and shoots one bomb downwards." Everybody paled. "Yup, the whole city would be reduced to dust in a matter of seconds. These are the lucky few that managed to escape the initial blast."
"Yes, but the civilians-"
The shot cuts to the man on the other side of the phone. He has grey hair and is sitting in front of multiple terminals.
"Recall the search and rescue teams for now. Have everyone take cover. You'll be taking fire soon!"
"He's just going to abandon them?! Right when they need them most?!" Pyrrha exclaimed.
Qrow sighed and shook his head. "The sad truth is, you can't save everybody. Let's say you're a huntsman and you go around the outskirts fighting Grimm. If you sacrifice yourself to save one man in a suicide move, then congrats, you saved that one man. But if you lived to fight another day, then you could possibly save a hundred more lives. In this situation, a dead man can save no lives."
Everybody was silent for a second.
"Jeez Uncle Qrow, who knew you were so wise." compliment/insulted.
Qrow let out an indignant noise.
A man in torn clothes can be seen stumbling across broken streets, before finally falling on all fours.
"The poor guy had nothing to do with this." Tai muttered.
Suddenly, bike tires squeal to a stop. "Hop on!" A guy exclaims.
The man looks up to show he has a long, bloody gash on his face. He seems to get extremely happy when he sees who it is.
The shot cuts to a purple bar that had slowly filled up.
"There we go." A deep-voiced alien said. It looked like their skin was a failed art project, with a pink skin and large blue dots covering certain parts. They had three eyes popping out the top of their head. There were multiple screens around him.
"That… looks like a stereotypical alien in a movie that has basically no budget." Yang scoffed.
"Geryuganshoop still hasn't gotten back to me… but whatever. Let's see… I believe the order was to concentrate fire around the enemies on the surface near Melzargard."
The alien looks at one of the screens and zooms it onto a location.
"They're going to fire… again? Haven't they caused enough death and destruction?" Winter exclaimed.
The screen cuts to a jaw biting down on a marble, and then to an alien with three heads. The alien is made out of grey matter and seems to have multiple red slits for eyes. When the marble shatters, one of the heads melt away.
Ruby shifted at the grotesque showing.
The screen then flips to show four people standing there.
"Is that guy… naked!?" Weis screeched.
"Yup, his hero name is Puri Puri Prisoner. Don't question it… just know that he's always naked when he fights because whenever he flexes it just rips off his clothes." O. Ruby answered casually.
"You're not disturbed by this?" Ozpin questioned. From what he's seen, O. Ruby and Ruby have fairly similar personalities. Ruby was currently trying to claw her own eyes out, but then again, he hasn't seen O. Ruby disturbed by anything.
O. Ruby scoffed. "When you watch these kinds of universes for millions of years, nothing really fazes you anymore." O. Ruby then continued in a quieter voice. "You of all people should know that, Ozma." Ozpin's eyes widened.
"Anyway, all you need to know is that these four are all S class heroes. Atomic Samurai uses a sword, Metal Bat uses a… metal bat, Silver Fang" Blake shuddered at the almost-same name. "Is the old guy who uses martial arts, and Puri Puri prisoner just punches stuff. Actually, Yang and Puri Puri Prisoner are really similar."
Yang's eyes seemed to widen by a comical amount.
"I mean, they both like to punch stuff," Yang's mouth opened ot retort. "Their both gay," Tai and Qrow spit out their drinks. "And they both like flashing people with their bodies." Yang tried to bury her face in Ruby's cloak.
"Two heads to go! I'll bust 'em wide open!" Metal Bat exclaimed.
"Is it time?" One of the heads asked.
"Ship, bombardment, coming…"
The shot cuts back to the alien zooming in on the Heroes.
Jaune's eyes widened. "If they shoot all those cannons at them, there's no way they'll survive! Even the alien will probably die!"
"There they are. All right… click!" The alien pressed a button.
A bunch of lights flash across the button of the ship as thousands of explosives rain down on them.
Glynda put her hand to her mouth in horror. "Oh, dear." Even with Aura, they would have never survived that.
The Heroes all look horrified at their incoming death.
"It's over." One of the heads said.
"Evasion, impossible. Instant death." The other finished.
The ground started rumbling and the lights glowed brighter as the missiles rushed towards them.
Ruby shut her eyes.
Suddenly, the camera zoomed out to show a short, green haired woman in a black dress behind them. The woman looks up at the missiles in boredom, before her whole body starts to glow green. Her hand shoots out, and all the missiles glow green as well before stopping mid-air.
Ruby cracked one eye open.
"Telekinesis?" Glynda exclaimed, surprised.
"ESPer, actually. They are born with strong psychic powers." O. Ruby corrected. "This one is fairly powerful, as she is S-class rank 2, one spot away from being the top hero in the association. Her Hero name is Tornado of Terror."
"Huh… What happened?" The alien asks nervously.
The heroes look up at the missiles in surprise.
"What on Earth?" Silver Fang wonders.
"They stopped." Puri Puri said, amazed.
Both of them turn around to see Tornado with her hands on her hips.
"Ugh, don't tell me this telepathic woman is also a sassy rule stickler." Qrow groaned.
"Mind repeating that?" Glynda growled.
Qrow wisely shut up.
"All of you would be dead without me. Can't you even finish one small fry?"
The Tornado of Terror started floating into the air.
"She can fly?!" Nora exclaims. Nora looks over to Glynda.
"I cannot fly." Glynda answered the unspoken question.
"Maybe try starting over from class C."
The Tornado of Terror points her index finger into the sky. All the missiles turn in mid-air back towards the ship.
"You can have…" She started
The Tornado of Terror flung her arms upwards. Arcs of green electricity seemed to fly around her.
"You shells back." The Tornado of Terror finished.
"Ooh! Ooh! I have to write that line down somewhere!" Ruby squealed.
Weiss sighed. "You don't have psychic powers. When are you ever going to use it?"
Ruby didn't seem to hear Weiss, as Ruby managed to find a pencil and paper somewhere and was scribbling on it quickly.
The missiles started spinning and were launched back upwards by the Tornado of Terror's powers. The bottom of the ship was engulfed in multiple explosions.
"Instant karma." Yang snorted.
The silver haired man and his brown haired assistant looked at the screen in amazement. "Th-This is…"
The screen is showing the multiple explosions across the ship.
The shot cuts back to the ship. The alien is drenched in sweat and looking incredibly scared. Everything is shaking and sparks are flying everywhere. He has a pained look on his face.
"I wanna go home." He says.
"Yeah, well, thousands of people don't have a home because of you. Suck it up." Qrow spat.
The screen cuts to the civilian shelter, and shows the hurt civilian from before being carried away on a trolly. The man in the suit turns around.
"I didn't expect you to be here. Thank you, Mumen Rider."
The shot cuts to show a man in light body armour, goggles, and a helmet standing there with a bike.
"He looks kind of… lame." Yang said blandly.
"That may be so, but that can't be helped. He is a C-class hero, which are basically no more than slightly trained civilians who barely passed the bar." O. Ruby said.
Everybody looked shocked at this.
"That's an incredibly brave young man, if a bit foolish. He rushed into the situation and saved a life." Ozpin commended.
O. Ruby smiled. "Not only that, but he was actually hospitalized before this. In fact, he just got out of the hospital and he's going back to duty quickly. And the best part?" Everybody looked on curiously. "The reason he was in the hospital was because a Demon level threat, which A-class and S-class heroes usually take on, was rampaging. He confronted the monster, and even after breaking multiple bones, he kept getting back up. He managed to stall for enough time that a stronger hero came in and finished it, but without him, hundreds would be dead."
Everybody's opinion of him just went sky high.
"Which areas are likely to have survivors? There must be more out there." Mumen requested.
"But you…" The man in the black suit interjected
"I'll go rescue them right now." Mumen declared.
"We want to know, too." A voice spoke behind Mumen.
A wrapped in black cloth holding a mop was standing next to a blonde haired man in a tight tracksuit.
"Those two are A-class Stinger and A-class Lightning Max. They both just got out of the hospital as well, having fought the same Demon level monster." O. Ruby explained.
"You said at the start that this was a God level threat. I would have thought only the S-class heroes would get involved." Ironwood questioned.
"Technically, yes. But in multiple universes there are usually cases of people banding together and helping, no matter their background, save lives. It's pretty beautiful and sad. It shows how much the human race could be, but it only shows when horrible events occur. Afterwards, society goes back to hating itself." O. Ruby said sadly.
Nobody had anything to say to that.
"Anyways, in this case, they can use as much help as they can get." O. Ruby added.
"Yeah, can't let him hog the limelight." Lightning Max joked.
"Stinger, Lightning Max…" The man in the black suit said, surprised.
"Mind if we borrow this? Stinger asked, patting the head of a military truck.
The man in the black suit looked relieved.
"You guys…" He said, smiling.
"That man must be tired. He's probably coordinating the rescue operation, and their help could really pull some stress off him." Glynda noted.
The shot cuts back to the alien morphing parts of their bodies into ropes and whips, attempting to hit one of the heroes. Metal bat manages to dodge them expertly mid-air, grinding across them with his bat and pushing himself off to avoid getting hit.
"So cool! You think I can do that with my scythe?" Ruby asked Weiss. Weiss just rolled her eyes.
"At that point, just cutting them off seems more efficient." Weiss replied.
The shot cuts to Puri Puri running forward before grabbing the whips in his arms, holding them still. His feet dig into the ground, preventing him from moving.
"Nice catch!" Silver Fang complimented, before running up the whips towards the alien.
Silver Fang's hands seem to glow blue, as the screen suddenly turns black. Streams of blue seem to straighten and flow together, before the black slowly fades away. The streams of blue appear to be coming from Silver Fang's hand, and he uses it to pierce right through the Alien's head.
Yang seemed interested. "What was that?" She wondered.
O. Ruby answered. "Silver Fang is a martial arts master. He made his own martial art, called the Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist. A mouth full, I know. But his skill with it is phenomenal, as he is S-class rank 3. One rank below Tornado of Terror."
Yang looked at her own hands. Right now, as much as she hated to admit it, she was basically like Puri Puri prisoner. She had skill and strength, but wasn't refined like Silver Fang. When she fought Neo, that lack of refinement showed clearly. Neo had her from the start, and her clumsy punches probably made her seem drunk in Neo's eyes. If she could learn a style that fit her, she could probably support her team better. Right now though, she is glorified muscle.
O. Ruby smiled. It seems watching this video had helped them gain insight on certain topics. When they leave, they'll probably be wiser than before.
"Found it…" Bang muttered. "Smush."
Bang shattered the marble in his fingers, and one of the heads were melted. Only one head remained.
"One left!" Bang landed on Debris, his back turned to the Alien.
This proved to be fatal, as the Alien managed to free one of his whips and throw it towards Silver Fang. Puri Puri gasped in surprise, as Silver Fang turned around only to get slammed by the offending limb. Silver Fang is sent flying, crashing through multiple cement walls before finally stopping in a building.
Everybody looked shocked at what happened. For a second, it looked like they had an easy win.
"Silver Fang!" Atomic Samurai shouted in concern.
Another person, a young man sword, one who seemed to be missing an arm, looked on in horror.
"A… direct hit." The man said anxiously.
"Who's that?" Tai asked.
"That is Iaian. He is Atomic Samurai's disciple, and fought the Alien alone to save civilians. He lost his arm when one of the Alien's attacks managed to get a glancing blow." O. Ruby explained.
Everybody seemed even more uneasy. If a glancing blow did that, it was no wonder Iaian was horrified at the thought of a direct hit.
The alien laughs.
"Weak, weak!" The alien turns to the remaining three heroes. "You are all so very weak. Dead after a single hit!"
The alien scoffs. "A change of tactics was all I needed. If I forget defense and focus on attack, this will all be over quickly. And you're next!" The alien towers over Atomic Samurai. The alien's arms start stretching, preparing to morph into something.
'Oh no…' Ruby thought, concerned.
"I will spring past that sword and squeeze your skull until it pops." The alien's arms continue to stretch and pull.
The camera goes right up to Atomic Samurai's angry face.
Qrow smirked. "This guy's pissed off, and he's about to kick that alien's ass. If somebody attacked my friend like that… there wouldn't be any remains."
Nobody commented on Qrow's insinuated threat of murder.
"Think so? Then be my guest." Atomic Samurai challenged.
The shot changes to show a large sparkling crystal. He shot then pans down to show a white-haird cycloptic alien in large armour sitting on a throne.
"Lemme guess, he's the leader of these aliens." Qrow commented sarcastically.
O. Ruby nodded. "Yup, he's the strongest person on the ship. Multitudes stronger than that grey monster from before." Everybody gulped at that.
O. Ruby wasn't done talking, though. "Luckily, humanity has an ace in the hole. Remember that Hero who I mentioned wasn't S-class but still attended the meeting?" Seeing everybody nod, she continued. "That hero is somebody named Saitama. He was a normal guy who trained his body to the point of baldness. So far, he hasn't lost a single fight and beats everybody with a single punch. He's gotten to the point where he's bored fighting hundreds of monsters."
Ironwood blinked. "If he's that strong, why isn't he S-class?" He questions.
O. Ruby laughed. "Well, due to a series of unfortunate events, nobody had ever seen him defeat anything. The credit always fell onto somebody else. When he tried to take credit for those victories, everybody called him a fraud. Any victory witnessed after that, people just waved off as him stealing the credit or the monster being weak. There was also this whole conspiracy theory, but that's a complicated story."
"Geez, that sucks. Saved countless lives but still pushed away from those he saved. Sounds like a villain's backstory, surprised he hasn't turned the darker path." Yang commented.
"So he's come." The alien states.
The shot cuts to a man running across a large empty hall. They have a white cape, red boots and gloves, a blac belt, and a yellow jumpsuit. The figure is sprinting towards a large door.
"How does he plan to get through that?" Tai wonders out loud.
The person jumps hundred of meters into the air and punches the door. The door instantly shatters into dust.
There was a moment of silence. "Well, you weren't kidding about his strength." Tai noted.
The camera zooms in to show Saitama's muscles bulging and a red aura leaking from his body. His cape was still fluttering upwards from the wind of his punch.
'This planet's finest warrior…' The alien thinks. 'I can sense no limit to his energy.'
The alien stands up, showing his red cape.
"You the boss of these invaders?" Saitama's voice echoes through the large room.
"He sounds kind of bored after fighting through probably an army of aliens." Winter noted
O. Ruby shrugged. "When he got stronger, his emotions started to temper down. He himself notices it, but doesn't seem too worried about it. However, once he joined the Hero Association, he's been slowly getting back more emotions."
"Wonderful!" The alien responded.
Saitama blinks. "Huh?"
"Before we fight, let us exchange names." The alien called. "I lead the pirate band known as Dark Matter,"
"That's pretty edgy. Almost as much as you, Blakey." Yang said, elbowing Blake.
Blake merely raised an eyebrow. "Are you… hitting on me?"
Yang just looked away indignantly.
"And I am the Dominator of the Universe. I am Boros." The newly named Boros exclaims.
"I'm a hero for fu- I mean, a professional hero. My name's Saitama." Saitama called.
Boros seems to gain a feral grin. "Saitama…" He repeats.
Tai raised an eyebrow. "Does this guy have a problem? He seems… off." Everybody looked at him. "And I don't just mean that because he's an alien." He added.
"Look, I don't know what the Denominator of the Universe wants with Earth…"
"PFFFT!" Nora snickered. "Denominator of the Universe. Hehehe."
"But you sure trashed City A." There was a hint of anger in his voice.
"What I want with Earth?" Boros starts walking down the steps from his throne. "There exists a prophecy."
"Prophecy? You mean…" Saitama started.
"Were they both told a prophecy?" Winter questioned.
O. Ruby nodded. "But they were different prophecies. The one that Saitama is referring to is one that a prophet warns them about. She was an old woman whose predictions were always 100 percent accurate. However, when she looked into the future, she saw something horrifying. She had a coughing fit, and her personal assistant gave her a cough drop. But then, in a twist of irony, she choked on the cough drop and died."
It would have been funny were it not so morbid.
"However, she managed to write down a message before she died. She wrote down "The Earth is in trouble". This made everyone in the Hero Association panic, as even when thousands were killed, she never mentioned "Trouble." in her prophecies. This means there is unparalleled peril in the near future, so the Hero Association called in all S-class heroes. The rest is history. However, the prophecy Boros is referring to is different. He'll explain it so I won't waste saliva."
"Once, I traveled the universe, ravaging everything in sight." The scene changes to show multiple planets in space. "But I was too strong. Eventually, there were none left who could face me. I came to know the torment of utter, all-encompassing boredom."
"This sounds like our baldy, except without the whole genocide thing." Yang noticed.
The shot changes to show a hooded tentacle alien leaning over a crystal ball.
"Then one day, a seer told me… On a faraway planet, a being exists who is my match, one who could rekindle my passion for battle. That was nearly twenty years ago."
Jaune blinked.
"Hey, at the beginning you said we would miss some of this if we were too slow right?"
O. Ruby nodded.
"Then this is the first time it happened?" Jaune continued.
"In this universe, yes." O. Ruby confirmed.
"Then how did you know what was going to happen despite this being the first time this event happens?" Jaune asked.
O. Ruby hummed a bit. "That's a nice catch. Most people wouldn't notice that. The reason I know what's going to happen is because I've seen it happen when I watched the base universe. You remember how I mentioned even the smallest change can create a whole universe? Well, that means there are an infinite number of universes that are either a second slower or faster than the base universe. That means, even if an event happens in the base universe, that same event can happen again in a universe that is just slightly slower than that one. I managed to get lucky and find this universe, which is slower than the base universe. It was right on this battle too, which was incredibly lucky." O. Ruby elaborated.
"Using this theory, you could technically time travel." Ozpin noted.
O. Ruby snorted. "Yeah, if you can find the EXACT same universe with the EXACT time you want to travel to. Once again, I just got incredibly lucky."
"What about those other videos you showed us?" Ren asked.
"Oh, sometimes the interdimensional traveler that claims a land likes to record interesting events that happen and let it be accessed by anybody. Some travelers band together to make groups and share clips with each other." O. Ruby explained. "I'm part of a group myself, called "Rooster Teeth". A weird name, I know."
Boros walks right up to Saitama.
"Have you any idea the distance I have traveled to get here? My men thought the prophecy was a ruse, made up to lure me away…"
The shot cuts to show Boros' maniacal grin
"I guess we all know the reason he's smiling like that. He's a battle hungry maniac that's been starved for years." Tai noted.
"But now I am certain. Come. Give stimulation to my existence. That is why I am here!"
Saitama's fist shot forward so quickly nobody saw it. Boros was sent flying into a pillar, the impact site exploding into dust.
The shot cuts back to Saitama, who has his gloved fist outstretched lazily. Steam is wafting from it.
"Jeez, what a punch." Qrow muttered.
"Are you stupid?" Saitama asks. "You can't just go around attacking other planets just to liven up your boring life. Even telemarketers wouldn't think that."
The scene cuts to Boros indented into the pillar, his armour cracked everywhere and blood splatters around him.
"Not so tough are you now, huh?" Nora exclaims.
Boros then peels himself off the wall, and manages to take a step forward. Saitama seems surprised he's alive. Boros flexes, and the armour he was wearing flies off.
"This set of armor, used to seal in my immeasurable, irresistible power… has been broken." Boros monologues.
"Nevermind." Nora whimpers.
"OK." Saitama deadpan with a bored look.
Intense music starts playing in the background.
Boros' skin starts to darken, and his hair and joints begin glowing. Spike grows out of his spine, and his muscles bulge. Boros shouts as he releases a large burst of energy.
Saitama just stands there, unfazed and still deadpanning as debris and arcs of energy start flying past him.
"He really just can't be fazed." Yang said, exasperated by his lack of reaction.
Boros' body starts flashing as more arcs of energy roll off him.
"It is time!" Boros yells before blasting forward. A streak of energy is left in his wake, as he lashes out towards Saitama. Saitama blocks it with his forearm, a seemingly serious look on his face for once. Boros then pulls his fist back and starts punching at Saitama so fast and hard that he's leaving three afterimages and shock waves start rolling.
However, Saitama just adjusts his forearm slightly before every hit.
"Jeez, talk about fast reflexes." Tai complimented.
With a war cry, Boros charges a heavy punch which connects with Saitama's forearm. It doesn't do any damage, but Saitama gets blasted backwards and into the air. When Saitama touches the ground, he uses his momentum to run backwards and get some distance.
However, Boros was running forwards, so he was considerably faster. He manages to knock Saitama into the air and they start connecting fists in the air. Boros tries flying around Saitama to hit him from different angles, but Saitama always manages to block with his forearm at the last second.
"Boros is playing overly offensive, and Saitama is playing overly defensive. Boros can't get around Saitama's block, but Saitama isn't dishing out any damage either." Ironwood observed.
Saitama uses the force of one of Boros' blocks to launch himself towards a pillar. He then launches off the polar and towards Boros, bringing his fist up to strike for the first time since Boros' armour broke. The impact caused them to explode in energy. Saitama landed without a scratch, but Boros landed behind him missing an arm.
"So Saitama can block hundreds of Boros' punches, but when Boros gets punched once in the arm, it explodes. If Saitama decided to get more offensive, I feel like the battle would be over quickly." Jaune noted.
O. Ruby shrugged. "On some level, Saitama is probably enjoying this. By not giving his complete all at the beginning, he can finally fight somebody who poses a challenge for as long as possible."
Boros seemed mostly unfazed by his missing limb.
"Though my true power has been unleashed…" Boros turns around and faces Saitama's back. "...you are still able to keep up."
Saitama turns around.
"Yeah." he starts, raising his steaming fist. "You're pretty strong too."
The scene cuts to a destroyed city.
'This is what will happen to Vale if Ozpin doesn't do anything about those who attacked the Fall Maiden!' Ironwood rants in his head. 'I don't understand how somebody who's supposed to have millions of years of knowledge can't see what's right in front of him!'
'Putting City A back together might be impossible.' A deep voice thinks.
The scene cuts to a large muscular man with short blond hair.
Qrow snickered. "Hey look, it's you Tai!"
Tai glared at Qrow. "Shut up."
'Well, right now I should be focusing on the battle.' The man thinks to himself. He looks with half-lidded eyes up to the spaceship.
'She may be Rank 2 or whatever… but I can't leave it to one little girl. I've got my own ways of fighting enemies in the air." The man starts flexing his arm, a white aura rolling off of it. 'Like this!'
The man grabs a large chunk of the ground, and holds it above his head with one hand. Then, with a war cry, he throws it at the ship, causing a small vibration.
"Holy shit, it really is you Tai. With the macho attitude, all brawn no brain, and just throwing shit at other shit." Qrow said, laughed his ass off.
"Qrow, I swear…" Tai growled.
"Hey!" A female voice calls in the background.
The ground starts getting raised from underneath him.
"What do you think you're doing?" Large debris and buildings are being lifted from the ground by a green aura.
"This area's got some nice rubble. Hurry up and get out of my way." Tornado says, annoyed.
The man falls from the debris. 'She's using her psychic power? I give up!' He mentally concedes.
"Oh my god! He even gets his ass handed to him by this version of Glynda! Nothing screams more "I am Taiyang Xiao Long" more than that! Next thing you know, this man won't be able to get his wife to take his name too!" Qrow says, somehow laughing harder.
Tai growled and punched Qrow in the side, but Qrow only laughed harder.
The Tornado of Terror throws more debris at the ship, causing large explosions.
The aliens are all in the same room, screaming.
"We're under attack again!"
"Return fire!"
"The guns are jacked!"
"Seriously? We're dead meat!"
"This planet's too tough!"
"Lord Boros!"
"I wanna go home." The pink alien from before said, crying.
"Now THEY get to feel what getting bombarded feels like. This is what I call karmic justice." Yang snorted.
The Tornado of Terror kept up her barrage, causing thousands of explosions across the ship.
The camera cuts back to Demon Cyborg and Child Emperor from the beginning.
'Such incredible power. Tornado may actually bring it down on her own.' Genos thought.
Another metallic android walked into the shot.
"I have errands to run. I will head out now. Things appear to be under control." It said.
"Under control? Under control!? Didn't your ally SIlver Fang just get killed in front of you and you say everything is under control?" Pyrrha shouted, outraged. "I'm pretty sure your errands can wait until AFTER the alien invasion."
"Sure, go ahead." The Child Emperor waved off. "Some heroes have already left."
"Some heroes they are." Pyrrha snorted.
"Before I go, Genos, have you got a second?" The robot asks.
"Oh yeah, Genos is Demon Cyborg's real name. Genos is also Saitama's disciple, despite Saitama being a lower rank." O. Ruby informed.
"There's something I have to tell you."
'Drive Knight, Class-S, Rank 9.' Genos analyzes. 'This is a first.'
Drive Knight speaks in a low voice. "Listen. Metal Knight is your enemy." Genos tenses. "Be Careful."
"What do you mean?" Genos inquires.
"You will know soon enough." Drive Knight waves off. "But for now, stay away from him." Genos stares at Drive Knight's retreating back.
"Talk about mysterious and edgy. Just lik-" Yang was cut off as Blake held a finger up.
"If your next words are something along the lines of "Just like you, Blakey", I will shove this finger up your nose and pull."
Yang wisely shut up.
The camera cuts back to show the grey alien converting his hand into a large spike. The alien runs over the Atomic Samurai, attempting to impale him. Atomic Samurai quickly slices the limb into pieces. The alien morphs the hand into multiple more spikes, but Atomic Samurai merely dances around it and slices them off with ease. Then, the aliens split it into dozens of more spikes. Despite their large sizes and numerous amounts, Atomic Samurai spins and slices them off like a whirlwind of steel.
"Now that is a true sword master. I would like to meet one myself, to hone my craft." Winter commended.
'I wonder if that's how cool it looks when I do that with my scythe.' Ruby wondered.
The Alien lets out an insane laugh.
"Bastard. You sure make things interesting." Atomic Samurai said with a tight face.
The alien pulls his sword out of the ground, and raises it in front of him.
"I'm beginning to taste victory."
"I don't think he knows his boss is probably getting his ass handed to him back up on the ship." Qrow noted.
A relieved sigh can be heard behind the Alien.
Everybody's jaw dropped.
"Is that…" Ruby asked, daring to hope.
The Alien gets a shocked look on his face as he realizes who it is. Silver Fang is standing there, his shirt having been ripped off, but otherwise unharmed.
"It is! He's alive!" Ruby exclaimed happily.
"He must be incredibly strong to survive a hit like that." Ozpin noted.
His body is riddled with scars and has muscles trained to perfection.
"A true martial artist's body." Tai appreciates
"I didn't realize you have a thing for men." Qrow jokes.
Tai glares at him.
'The stiffness in my shoulder is gone. But I suppose I'm a little rusty.' Silver Fang thinks, rolling his shoulder.
"You live-?" The alien was cut off by a voice from behind.
"Hey, forget something?" Atomic Samurai asks rhetorically. His sword is gleaming, and his eyes are clowning red. The rest of his face is blocked by a shadow.
The screen turns black, and suddenly hundreds of white lines scratched across the screen.
"Atomic Slash!" Atomic Samurai shouts. The words "Atomic Slash" crossed the screen in large letters.
There was silence for a second.
"Well, at least now we know why he's called "Atomic Samurai."" Yang broke the quiet atmosphere.
Winter looked at her hands. If she trained enough… could she accomplish something like that?
The alien was cut into hundreds of tiny chunks, but they instantly started to get put back together.
"Insolence!" The alien somehow speaks despite not having a mouth. "Such complete insolence!" The alien starts regenerating itself around a marble, and creates a dust cloud of it's own particles to hide it.
"Interesting tactic, hiding his regeneration so they don't know where specifically he is.
Intense music starts.
Silver Fang walks through the blizzard of dust unfazed.
"You move your heart-thing around your body to hide its location. But your regeneration always begins with your head… and in the center lies your heart." Silver Fang starts.
The alien tries to regenerate faster, but Silver Fang's head manages to pierce through it regardless.
"After seeing it so many times, even a monkey could figure it out." Silver Fang gestures to the marble in his hand. "See? Checkmate."
"It seems this battle is over." Glyda observed.
"It does seem that way." Ozpin agreed.
"No!" The alien yells, but gets cut off as Silver Fang crushes the marble.
Iaian runs up to Silver Fang in worry.
"Silver Fang!" Iaian yells.
"All I needed was one more swing." Atomic Samurai complains, sheathing his sword. Keep your hands to yourself, Silver Fang." Despite his words, Atomic Samurai is smiling.
"A friendly rivalry, I'm guessing. A classic sword vs. fist scenario." Blake noted. She has seen this situation in her book before.
Iaian looks on in shock as Silver Fang shrugs off a fatal blow.
"Goodness, I really do need to do more full-body workouts." Silver Fang says, patting his lower back.
Puri Puri steps forward. "We got all the heads. That means victory is ours!"
"Ugh, I forgot he was naked for a second." Yang complains, putting her hands up to cover her face.
"Yeah, but there's still that big ship up there." Metal Bat adds. They all look up to see multiple explosions going off from Tornado's constant barrage.
The scene cuts back to the rescue effort.
"All right, this is the last of the reported survivors." Lightning Max says. "Let's move!"
"Right." Stinger agrees. They were helping a woman with a nasty gash on her arm.
"Remember, you don't have to be fighters to save lives. Chances are, without them, the Hero Association wouldn't have enough manpower to go out and save these people like this. Most wouldn't make it in time." Glynda lectured. "Knowing what actions will save the most lives is critical in being a Huntress or Huntsman."
Stinger helps the woman onto the truck. Mumen Rider is staring up at the ship.
Max turns around. "Mumen! Quit your staring and come on!"
"Yeah, okay." Mumen turns his bike around and follows them.
An intense guitar solo starts.
"Ooh, we're going back to the big fight!" Nora exclaimed.
The scene starts to show Boros throwing lightning fast punches. Saitama is countering by catching each punch.
The music gets more intense.
They exchange fists in the air for a while, and they hit each other in streaks of light. Finally, Boro seems to get a hit in, throwing Saitama back. Boros capitalizes on this, landing a second punch and knocking Saitama through pillar after pillar.
"I thought he was winning…" Ruby whined fearfully.
"We all did." Ozpin admitted.
Saitama's momentum was finally stopped, but Boros doesn't let up. He flies through the debris and dropkicks Saitama in the stomach. Saitama gets blasted into the next pillar and tries to zig-zag up it. Saitama manages to bait out multiple of Boros' hits, causing them to repeat the song and dance all the way to the top of the pillar. They make an opening and continue the fight all the way to the top of the ship.
"Jeez, Saitama's getting put through the grinder." Qrow said, worried for Saitama.
"Nice moves." Boros compliments. "Just as I thought, you are strong." Energy starts arcing off Boros' body. "Of all the myriad beings I have fought, only you…" Large amounts of energy is pouring off of Boros' body. "...have survived this long!"
"Wow, what a compliment." Qrow said sarcastically.
Saitama just looks on with a bored expression. Boros gains an insane expression, and his energy is sent upwards into the sky.
"Now to release the destructive energy held within me!"
"He gets STRONGER?!" Weiss exclaimed. "Saitama is barely keeping up for now!"
A large ball of energy is sent flying towards Saitama.
"Any normal creature hit by it would find their bones vaporized!"
The ball of energy explodes as it hits Saitama, causing a large trail of fire not unlike a flamethrower.
Ruby covered her mouth as she whimpered. Surprisingly, it was Weiss who comforted Ruby this time. Weis rubbed Ruby's back comfortingly.
Saitama stands up, his cape torn and skin a little roughed up, but ultimately fine. The fire around him covers Boros' tracks as he runs behind Saitama.
"Behind you!" Boros yells, landing a clean hit onto Saitama's face. Boro grins insanely as a shockwave permeates from the hit. Boros jumps backwards and begins his monologue as Saitama stops moving.
Ruby stifles a cry of fear.
"You were a worthy opponent… but the outcome of this battle is clear." Boros says cockily. "My species won the struggle to survive amidst the harsh environment of our home world. We possess the ultimate in regenerative abilities." It shows a full body shot of Boros in the background. "I, in particular, have self-healing power, physical prowess and latent energy beyond your conception. A deep wound that would be fatal to you heals itself on me in mere moments."
"Ya sound pretty cocky there. Almost seems like Saitama didn't take your arm off in the first 60 seconds of your fight." Qrow spat.
The camera pans to Boros' arm stump. It starts wiggling and thrashing. "By focusing all my energy on my destroyed arm I can explosively speed up the healing process." An arm with white raw flesh quickly darkens into Boro's normal skin color.
"I think I'm gonna be sick." Nora exclaimed, leaning over to Ren with a green face."
Boros raises his hand towards Saitama. "Good as new. You, on the other hand, will only get injured more, while your stamina gradually decreases-" Boros was cut off.
"Shut up." Saitama said.
Everybody blinked.
Boros seemed surprised as well. Saitama lifted his head.
"Blah, blah, blah. Are you done… with this?" Saitama asks with an annoyed expression.
Qrow opened his mouth, but for once didn't have any witty comment.
Boros just stared dumbfounded at Saitama. Suddenly, his fist clenched and Boros' body exploded with energy.
"Not yet!"
Somehow, Saitama with his unscathed clothes and unharmed body stood there good as new. Lightning crackled as the energy from Boros' body made a sphere around him.
"Wow, he gets stronger… who would've guessed. Jeez, he's like a boss from an RPG. How many phases do we have to go through before it ends?" Qrow snorted.
"Meteoric Burst!" Boros cried.
Boros shot forward so fast, Saitama actually looked shocked before he got punched in the face. The aftershock was so powerful, it burned up the aliens in the ship close enough to a crisp.
"His own allies are dead, just like that. All he cares about is his hunger for battle, nothing else." Ironwood spat, disgusted.
Saitama is sent flying, but Boros isn't done. He flashes around Saitama, landing hundreds of blows. Boros then proceeds to fling Saitama around.
'The energy shunted from my body transformed into a propelling force, elevating speed and power to a level beyond the limitations of living flesh!' Boros grabs Saitama with his energy and flings him around like a ragdoll. Boros flings Saitama into the air before speeding across the tower to gain momentum.
Boros then brings his knee out and flies upwards, catching Saitama and launching him with all his energy to outer space.
O. Ruby realized something while everybody was gaping. "Oh yeah, their moon is intact. Sorry if you're all so surprised by that." Everybody looked at her. "What?" O. Ruby asked.
Yang face palmed. Regardless if it was her Ruby or not, she could still be so socially inept.
"We're surprised because space travel isn't possible for us." Ironwood explained.
O. Ruby made an O shape with her mouth.
Saitama, landing on the moon, looks back at Earth. He pinches his nose in surprise, and prepares to jump. When he does, he makes an even larger crater than when he landed.
Boros can be seen panting on the ship.
'Doing this places enormous stress on my body, similar to anaerobic exercise. As a result, it shortens my life. Therefore, it should only be used as a trump card for settling fights quickly.' Boros' thoughts were interrupted by an explosion.
"Well, it'll be anything but quick with Saitama being seemingly invincible." Blake noted.
Sure enough, Saitama is the source of the explosion. He causes the whole ship to list just from the impact.
"It's listing! You're doing it! Awesome, Tornado!" A dark skinned, bald man calls to Tornado.
Saitama walks out of a crater at the top of the ship.
"Wait, if Saitama's landing caused the ship to list, wouldn't he be on the lower end?" Jaune questioned. Everybody just shrugged.
Music starts playing.
"I made it." Saitama says proudly, smiling to himself.
Boros stares dumbly for a few seconds, before his gaze turns murderous.
'This man…' Boros thinks as he charges at Saitama. '...makes me want to go all out!'
"You weren't before?" Qrow questions, annoyed.
Boros becomes a white blur as he attacks Saitama from every angle. However, unlike last time, Saitama lashes out at the perfect time, hitting Boros right in the chest. Boros spits out blood, and goes flying back. Boros stops his momentum by flipping mid-air and pushing his feet into the metal.
"I have a feeling Saitama is taking this a little more seriously than before." Glynda notices.
Boros looks up with a bloody, insane smile. "That's the way, Saitama. You are indeed worth defeating!"
However, before he could react, Saitama closed the distance.
"Consecutive Normal Punches." Saitama says neutrally.
"What is it with these people and calling out their attacks?" Tai muttered.
The friction caused by the punches heats up Boro' body, and he explodes in a shower of blood. The walls behind Boros then get destroyed in the shockwave. Boros' floating eye panicked for a second, before it turned and saw his marble. His body constantly regenerated, and the music became even more intense.
"I will defeat you!" Boros yells, energy arcing from his body.
"How does he still have energy?!" Ruby exclaims.
"He did mention that his race had increased power or something." Yang guesses.
"All my energy will be released, blasting you and this planet to hell!" The heat from the energy coming off Boros started melting the metal of his ship.
The energy core inside Boro's body seemed to pulse, and large amounts of light were emitting from Boros.
"Collapsing Star, Roaring Cannon!" Boros screams, a bright beam of energy heading towards Saitama.
"Seriously? Again? Why do they yell out the name of their attack?" Tai exclaims, frustrated by the ridiculousness.
"In that case, I'm using my final move too." Saitama's fist tightens. "Killer Move: Serious Series… Serious Punch." Saitama punched the incoming beam of energy, and the shockwave alone seemed to knock away Boros.
"Jesus, "Serious Punch"? That's what it looks like when he actually puts effort into his punch? No wonder he never does, the collateral damage would be insane." Qrow groaned.
The two energies clashed, Saitama's seeming to pierce through Boros'.
Inside the ship, the power crystal seemed to crack.
The clouds across the globe shift away from the sheer might of Saitama's and Boros' battle.
"Those two can stay in that universe. I do not want super-powered freaks on this world, no siree." Qrow says, holding his hands out in front of him.
The shot goes back to Boros, but he's burnt to a crisp and his whole lower body was ash.
"Did I lose?" Boros asked. Saitama, his cape torn but ultimately unscathed, stood in the distance.
"He's still alive?" Winter exclaims, surprised.
"You're still conscious? You really are strong." Saitama says, a rare smile on his face.
"The prophecy held true. The battle was hard-fought."
Saitama turns away. "Yeah. It sure was."
Sad music plays.
There was a pause.
"You lie." Boros says.
"Huh?" Everybody asked in sync.
"You had strength to spare." Boros says
"He was fighting pretty defensively at the start. Was he giving Boros the fight he wanted?" Ironwood realized.
"I never stood a chance. It wasn't even a battle."
Everybody's eyes widened. Was Saitama really holding back that much, and they didn't notice? It did seem like Saitama made a last second comeback, which is a little weird.
Boros let out a sad chuckle. "So much for prophecies. You were too strong…" His skin turns paler as the battle causes the ship to fall. "Saitama..." The crystal finally shatters.
The words "The Strongest Hero" appeared on the screen, and the sad music ends."
O. Ruby looked like she was about to say something, but paused and shook her head.
"Well, you guys can chat amongst yourselves, I need to go take care of something real quick."
O. Ruby disappeared in a shower of rose petals, going off to who knows where.
A/N Well I missed my first daily update. This was to be expected. I'm actually stuck here away at 12:24 finishing this chapter. That means I was 24 minutes away from posting the chapter yesterday and keeping up my daily update streak! Anyways, read the IMPORTANT AN AT THE TOP OF THE CHAPTER if you haven't already.
Aight that's all. G'night. For me that is. Because I'm falling face first into bed right now.
