Mystic Falls

-Bennett Residence-

"I'm going to ask you again," Mike said as he stepped closer. Abby's eyes were wide with fear as she stepped back. Mike opened his mouth and said each word slowly and filled with a thinly veiled threat. "What brings you back to Mystic Falls, Abigail? Oh, and before you use the 'I came back for Bonnie' card I'm going to give you some advice: don't."

Jasper was very much impressed by this side of Mike. The blonde boy who would follow Bella around with a school boy crush was long gone. He radiated with an ancient power and since he had said himself he created the very first Cold Ones, adding that the Volturi were not in fact the first of their kind and therefore held no right to sit atop a set of thrones, had only made him admire the boy more. If he could even be considered a boy now. The vampire had learned so much within last few hours.

Mike, although he was born under the name Mikhail, was the patriarch of a family line even Maria herself feared and respected. He created a form of magic that was deadly and only few survived it and Jasper was sure there was more, aside from creating the first Cold One.

The blonde witch raised an eyebrow. "Abigail."

Abby turned her head.

Mike sighed and shook his head. "You know Abigail, I may have been around for almost four thousand years but I can tell you I've never been one for patience."

"I...I had no where else to go," Abby choked out, fear of what Mike would do to her evident in her tone.

"Was that so hard?" asked the blue eyed male.

"No."

"Good," he said and turned to Kol, who had moved to keep a protective arm around Bonnie the moment things got tense. He smiled, giving the Original props for wanting to stand up for his love. "You can calm down, Kol. I'd never harm Bonnie."

The tawny eyed Original nodded his head curtly. He loosened his hold on Bonnie but did not leave her side. Mike could understand that. The two had been away from each other for some time now and he was certain the vampire wanted nothing more than to whisk Bonnie away for some much needed alone time.

"Mikhail, I know you're in there! Open the fucking door!" cried a voice from the other side of the door. Bonnie jumped back in surprise while Rebekah rushed over to the door and threw it open. "Where is he?"

Kol leaned down to Bonnie, "You'll need to let them in," he whispered in to her ear.

Bonnie frowned and arose from her spot on the couch, heading towards the door. She paused when she found a young woman standing there. Her hair was a dark brown color, framing her heart shaped face. Her nose was long while her lips were painted a rose color that reminded her of Klaus, though the cupid's bow shape was somewhat reminded Bonnie of the youngest Mikaelson sibling, who stood frozen with her jaw hanging. The look on her face told Bonnie that she was looking at the other sister of the Original family. Well that and the brown eyes with the hint of honey that just screamed Kol.

"Isabella," Rebekah breathed.

"Bella," chirped the brunette. "I prefer Bella."

"You're alive," whispered the blonde.

"Yes, I am and we can have all the hugs and questions after Miss Bennett permits me to come inside, should she allow it." Bella said and then added. "After I see Mikhail of course."

Mike's warm chuckle alerted the girls as he walked into the foyer. Pushing past Bonnie with a pat on the head, he stepped over the threshold and opened his arms. Bella all but flew into his embrace, wrapping her dainty arms around his center, making sure not to hurt him. Vampire strength was something she had to control around him. Bonnie blinked at their exchange and was about to ask what was going on when Bella pulled away, speaking so rapidly in a dialect she couldn't understand.

"It's an Anicent Greek," Rebekah said, noticing the confusion on the witch's face. "Would you like a quick translation?"

Bonnie nodded softly. "Could you please?"

Rebekah nodded though the fact that Bonnie Bennett of all people said those words to her. "She's interrogating him and telling him to never ever do that again. Or she'll kill him herself."

Bonnie turned her gaze back on the two and blushed when she saw how Mike had tilted Bella's chin up and planted a kiss close to her lips. "I promise you Isabella, I will not try to kill myself again."

"Good," Bella said with a curt nod.

"Bonnie, may Bella come in? I believe her siblings would like to have a reunion with her." Mike asked, looking at his descendant.

"Of course," Bonnie said. "Come inside Bella."

Damon was not pleased when he has to open up the boardinghouse for Elena's brother and aunt, although it was a shock for them to even be alive, along with Alaric. He had asked what the fuck was going on and all he got was they had been brought back by a family member of Bonnie's.

He found Alaric sitting in the living room, nursing a glass of scotch. "So," he started as he walked over to the liquor table and poured himself a glass. He turned to the history teacher, taking a sip of his drink. "Are you ever going to tell me how you were brought back from the grave, along with Baby Gilbert and Auntie Gilbert?"

Alaric said nothing as he continued to drink. Damon frowned. "Ric, I kinda need to know how my best friend was brought back from the dead, still a vampire but no longer a crazy sociopath."

"That was from all the times you killed me," Alaric said and then took another sip.

"Well sorry about that," Damon said although his tone told the other vampire that he was nowhere near sorry. "But I kinda wanna know who did this to you and if they are a threat to Elena."

"Well you don't have to worry about that," said a new voice. Damon turned his head to see a young man who looked about eighteen. His blonde hair was the perfect example of bed hair, with a body that looked like he ran track and field. He smiled warmly to Alaric as he walked past Damon and poured himself a drink of vodka. He down it in one go and turned to Damon. "I have absolutely no interest in Elena Gilbert. Her blood line has done enough to annoy me for the last two thousand years."

"Who the hell are you?" Damon asked.

The blonde grinned at him with mirth in his blue eyes. "My name is Mikhail," he addressed. "Although these says I go by Mike Newton."

Damon's eyes narrowed. This kid was four thousand years old? "Are you a vampire?"

Mikhail snorted. "Absolutely not."

"Well there is no way you're a werewolf," Damon said and took a cautious step towards him. "Are you?"

"Wrong again," sighed Mikhail as he poured himself another drink. "I'll give you hint. I have an adorable relative that you love have spats with. Honestly, it's almost like the two of you are a married couple."

Damon's frown didn't let up. "What is it you want?"

Blue eyes narrowed softly before he set the glass down. "I want to keep my family bloodline alive," he said. He turned and looked at Damon. "You've done a rather shit job at keeping each and every one of my descendants alive. You've either used them, fucked them, murdered them or done a combination of the three in the last century and a half. Honestly I feel Klaus would have done a better job simply because he actually cares about witches."

Damon frowned. "Your bloodline?"

"The Bennett line," said Mikhail.

Damon stared at him, not convinced. "You're Bonnie's ancestor? Honestly, I thought you'd be more..."

"If you say dark skinned," Mike said with a soft growl, his eyes darkening as the windows began to rattle. "Don't."

Damon held his hands up. "Whatever."

"I should kill you," Mike said and then paused. "But I do need you for something."

"And what would that be?" Damon asked.

"You are going to help me find someone. A man named Enzo."
