Reformed Saiyans
Chapter Nineteen: Arrival On Namek.
As the first day had passed since Bulma and others left Earth, the ship had recently entered in a cruise mode known as Supercruise. The three fighters that were abroad used their time to train, and prepare themselves for their next fight.
"Listen, I don't want either of you bothering me while I train, got that?" Piccolo said. "I need to prepare for Namek, and I don't want the two of you dragging me behind, nor ruining my training."
"Hey, not a problem, Piccolo. We'll stay out of your way, you stay out of ours." Krillin replied. "We don't want any trouble, we just want to get to Namek, revive Tien and Chiaotzu, and go home."
"Good." Piccolo said. He turned around and began walking to the other side of the ship.
"He isn't going to train with us?" Gohan whispered, tiling his head.
Krillin moved in closer to Gohan, and continued whispering. "No, in case you haven't noticed Gohan, we're not exactly friends here, just allies, besides I'm not too fond of him and he's not too fond of us."
Piccolo growled under his breath. "I can hear you y'know."
Krillin gulped, and turned his face away. "Let's just start our training, kay?"
Gohan nodded. "Right!" He smiled.
"Yea, but first I need to see what ya got. That way I can know where you're at." Krillin answered.
"Okay but how will we do that without hitting anything in the ship, I don't wanna damage it." Gohan said, scratching the side of his head.
Krillin looked with slight confusion. "Through Image training of course."
Gohan tilted his head again. "Image training?"
"What?" Krillin widened his eyes with shock. "Are ya saying your Uncle never taught ya Image training?"
Gohan raised his shoulders in response.
"Okay, I'll teach ya, it shouldn't be too hard, you know how to release your energy right?" Krillin asked. Gohan nodded in response. "Good, let's sit down over there."
Gohan followed Krillin to the far right of the ship, and sat down when motioned to.
"Now let me think about this for a second, so I can briefly explain it." Krillin said. He placed his left hand on his leg, looking up as he thought, when an explanation appeared in his mind, he lifted one finger from his left hand, and looked to Gohan.
"Basically, when you're releasing your energy try to imagine it as a wire that can connect to another wire. When these two wires connect, they create a virtual mindspace that the two fighters can train in." Krillin explained. He crossed his arms and continued. "You can make the virtual mindspace have certain conditions but only if both fighters have experienced the conditions, so for now we'll just do an empty room. "
"Think you can handle that?" Krillin asked.
"I think so." Gohan said. He closed his eyes, releasing his energy to the max, as Krillin said, he tried to imagine it like a wire, connecting to another wire. He locked onto Krillin's energy signature, and Krillin did the same.
The two energies connected, doing exactly as Krillin said it would. Now they were in an empty place, a vast empty place, so endlessly vast, it was mind blowing per say. It was dark yet lit, something that words could not describe this phenomenon.
"Great Job, you did it on your first try!" Krillin said.
Gohan rubbed the back of his head and chuckled. "Thanks."
"Must be those Saiyan genes in ya or something. It took me forever to figure this out!" Krillin pointed out. "Anyways, enough chit chatting, let's get started."
"Right!" Gohan nodded. He and Krillin took their fighting stances, and charged at each other.
"Beep….Beep...Beep….BEEEEEP!" A door to a rejuvenation chamber opened. A large bulky man, Nappa, awoke and opened his eyes, he saw Vegeta with a fresh set of armor walk out of the medical bay.
Rage filled into Nappa's eyes, he slammed the door to the medical chamber open, stomping towards Vegeta, with nothing but rage on his mind. Vegeta knew he was coming, he could feel the brute's enraged stomping heading this way.
Vegeta smirked, and laughed in thought. As Nappa was but a few feet away, Vegeta turned, showing his wide grin.
"You!" Nappa growled, pointing at Vegeta.
Vegeta pointed at himself, keeping a smug face. "Me? Me what?" Vegeta asked mockingly.
"You betrayed me! You threw me away! Like some! Some Common Trash! Like Cui!" Nappa yelled.
"Oh, I did? Did I? I don't remember that." Vegeta played dumb, faking a face of unguilty.
Nappa growled angrily at Vegeta, he knew exactly what the prince was doing. "Bullshit! Don't play dumb with me Vegeta! You know what you did! You disgraced me! The Saiyan General!"
"Former Saiyan General." Vegeta replied. Nappa grew more furious from Vegeta's remark.
"What do you mean, Former!?" Nappa yelled. "I am the General of the Saiyans! And you threw me away!"
"For starters, you got beat by some Earthling, saved by some low class trash, beaten again by some other Earthling, and then spared thanks to the same low class trash. If it weren't for that scum Kakarotto, you'd be dead." Vegeta pointed out. Then he laughed. "And besides, General of what Saiyans? You're certainly not Raditz or Kakarotto's General, and we already knew you weren't mine. The rest of the Saiyans are gone. You're a General of Nothing!"
Nappa growled again, but then a thought appeared in his mind, he widely grinned at Vegeta, which made the Prince raise a brow.
"I'm a General of Nothing? Then you're a Prince of Noth-" That was all Nappa could say before Vegeta's knee rammed into Nappa's gut. Nappa clutched his gut tightly, before falling face flat to the ground.
"Let me make this clear, Nappa. You are no longer useful to anyone, you're nothing but a fraction of what you used to be." Vegeta replied. He lowered himself to Nappa's level, and gave a stern angry look. "As long as Saiyans exist, I'm still the Prince of them All. You however, cannot be a General if there are no Saiyans willing to follow you in combat. As the prince, I hereby demote you!"
Then Vegeta lifted Nappa's head and threw him through a few walls, as well as the medbay. Cui, who had been nearby, overheard the conversation, nearly freaking when he saw Nappa sent through the walls.
Originally, Cui had come to mock Vegeta, but now with Vegeta's mood, he decided it was best not to, however he did overhear Vegeta mumbling something about a Planet called Namek, Cui decided to follow him.
A Few Hours Later
Nappa began to wake, his ears were still muffled, and his sight hadn't fully restored.
"Are you sure My Lord? Wouldn't it be easier to dispose of this ape now?" A familiar voice said.
The word ape infuriated Nappa, especially since he knew who it was referring to, after all, who else could it be? As Nappa's sight began to return, the images turned out to be Zarbon, and Frieza. Instant fear from seeing Frieza sent down Nappa's spine, enough that it calmed his intense rage.
"Oh, look he's waking up." Frieza said.
Immediately, and instinctively, Nappa kneeled before Frieza respectively.
"L-Lord Frieza." Nappa said. He hated to utter those words, uttering them made him angry, but he knew better than to lash out in rage against Frieza. Immediately, Nappa was kneeling before Frieza and Zarbon as was anyone to do to avoid such consequences.
"Well at least some of you still have your loyalty." Frieza said. He then sighed. "Too bad though, because I feel as if your usefulness has expired. Nappa was it? You'll no longer be needed on the Frieza force."
Nappa's eyes broadened in shock and fear, he had to think fast. Frieza was going to kill him, and Zarbon, well, he had a huge grin on his face.
"W-Wait! Lord Frieza! Please. Think about this!" Nappa said, gulping. Frieza paused, and became intrigued, this was new, Nappa has never been known to be in such a...begging mood.
"I can still be of use to you. I have information that you might want!" Nappa replied.
Frieza furrowed his brow. "Oh really? What kind of Information is it?" Frieza asked.
"The Dragon Balls, Namek, and Vegeta!" Nappa answered.
"I'm well aware of Namek and it's Dragon Balls. I collect all seven and I get a wish, yes?" Frieza said.
"Y-Yes! But Vegeta could get in your way, ruin everything for you. Let me take care of him, I'll end that bastard!" Nappa replied.
Zarbon laughed, causing Nappa's face to fill with anger. "You? Kill Vegeta? Please you couldn't even defeat Cui, I doubt you could take care of Vegeta."
"Now Zarbon, at least let the Saiyan try. It'd at least be entertaining." Frieza replied, turning to Zarbon. He turned back to Nappa. "Besides, I'd really wonder exactly how you could defeat Vegeta. You are the so-called Great General of the Saiyans, you must have some strategy right?"
Nappa hadn't actually thought about that. He didn't really have a strategy, and yet, one did appear in his mind.
"Yes..I do.." He smirked.
"Indulge me." Frieza said.
"Let me take care of Vegeta, I can keep him busy, while you gather the DragonBalls. You can use me to my full extent, all I ask in return is power!" Nappa explained.
"And what kind of power is it that you propose?" Frieza said.
A wicked grin appeared upon Nappa, as he explained to Frieza the ability to gain power from a near-death situation, which was something all Saiyans had, something Frieza already knew about it. However, Nappa's idea was to abuse it, allow Nappa to gain incredible power, from Frieza causing intense near-death situations.
Not some simple, I blew a hole in your chest, but slowly breaking Nappa's body down, til he could no more. Frieza didn't just like it, in fact the idea to him was tremendously soothing, after all the pain Saiyans have caused him, torturing one especially one that caused a lot of trouble in recent years would be delightful. Frieza had an idea of his own as well, Frieza proposed the idea of actually taking the time on this, he wanted to really see Nappa's true extent, out of pure curiosity.
As they spent their time travelling to Namek, Frieza and Nappa were in Frieza's torture chamber, as it had the toughest walls. It was the most gruelling month Nappa spent, but he had hoped at the end of it, it would be worth it.
One Month Later…
"We're here!" Bulma said. Krillin and Gohan rushed to the windows of the Ship, looking with amazement. The grass was blue, the sky was green, and there were three suns! Without further hesitation, the two ran quickly outside. Bulma followed behind, and Piccolo as well.
"Woah...This is Namek!?" Krillin gasped. The grass was not only blue, but it was lushious, full of life, the waters were calm, clear, and clean. The fresh air was actually way better than Earth's, and despite the three suns, the Planet was in a perfect temperature.
Not cold nor hot, not quite warm either, but cool, with soft winds.
Piccolo, as he stood upon the ground, the familiarity astonished him, it felt so familiar yet at the same time didn't. He couldn't believe it, he took a moment to take it all in, and he knew that this was it.
"Namek...The soil of my Ancestors, where I was born, I feel it singing to my blood!" Piccolo thought. "After all these years, I'd never thought this would be it… I feel a sense of completion."
Krillin looked at Piccolo for a second, realizing the Namekian became lost in thought. "Hey uh, Piccolo?" Krillin said. Piccolo snapped back in reality. "We need to get going, gotta set up our camp."
Piccolo shook his head for a second. "Uh right..let's go." Piccolo replied. He was still distracted by the thought that he finally was able to stand on the Planet where he was from.
The group saw a cave next to where we landed, beginning to set camp up. Not far from here however, a blue bulky soldier, with white snowy hair, and a white snowy beard closed in. Piccolo, Krillin, and Gohan felt his energy signature come close.
"Keep your energies masked til we know it's safe, got it?" Piccolo said. The other two nodded in response, following Piccolo's lead unmindfully.
"Bulma, hide in the cave for a moment." Krillin said. "We've got company."
Bulma was quick to respond, she knew better than to stay out where she could get hurt, yet curiosity still peaked her, she at least took a peek. The three fighters hide behind some rocks, keeping themselves concealed, til the owner of the ki signature made his way to their landing spot.
"Huh that's strange, Ah swore Ah saw a couple of power readings on muh scoutin device." The soldier said. He shrugged, and brushed it off. "Well, wherever they went, they won't be missing their lil ship!"
The blue soldier made a smug face, pointing his arm at the ship's window, around his arm was some weird white technological device. A yellow energy emitted from the device, and swiftly shot towards the ship's window.
"Oh no!" Bulma screamed.
Immediately, the three fighters reacted. Piccolo charged at the Soldier, and launched his leg against the side of the Soldier's waist. The blue skinned soldier plummeted into a massive hill harshly.
Krillin kneed the energy blast away from the ship and it's window. The blast went into the sky before erupting into a mini brief explosion. Krillin, as well as Bulma, let out a sigh of relief. The blue soldier's energy signature completely disappeared, meaning Piccolo took him down in one swift blow.
Piccolo and Krillin returned to the ground.
"Crisis Averted!" Krillin said. "Almost lost our ship!"
"Guess we'll have to be more careful." Piccolo said. He looked over to Bulma. "Don't you got one of those oval thingies to store it in?"
"It's called a Capsule!" She yelled. Then with a smug prissy face. "And yes I do."
Piccolo shook his head, rolling his eyes, wondering what the hell goes on in her mind.
Bulma pressed a button on a remote she pulled out of her pocket, and the Ship converted to Capsule form. She walked up to the Capsule, picked it up, and placed it in her boxes of Capsules.
"They're done!" She said, "Now if you will excuse me, I'm going to go set up inside the cave."
"Remind me why we had to bring her?" Piccolo asked.
"If we didn't, not only would we not have the Dragon Radar, but we wouldn't have made it far. None of us know how to fly the ship." Krillin answered. Piccolo sighed in response.
After Bulma entered the cave, she threw a capsule in the air, after pressing its button, and appeared, a capsule house, fully furnished, with freshly filled refrigerator, and two 100 gallon tanks of water, with a heating system.
The group spent a couple of hours planning out for a moment, however, their plans were ruined by a familiar ki signature entering the atmosphere. The three fighters immediately ran outside, saw a ship, far off in the distant land.
"T-That's V-Vegeta!" Krillin stuttered.
"What?! That's impossible! There's no way he could've healed up and made it here by now!" Piccolo growled. "He was as damaged as Goku was! And should still be recovering!"
Gohan was shocked, but remembered something his Uncle had told him. "Wait, I think my Uncle said they had some kind of machine to heal faster!"
The other two fighters looked at Gohan with slight confusion and shock.
"What're you talking about? Explain!" Piccolo demanded.
"Yeah, when we were in the hospital, my Uncle was complaining about there not being rejuvenation chambers." Gohan replied. "He said that back on Planet Vegeta, and on multiple headquarters of the guy he and the other Saiyans worked for, they had multiple powerful healing machines."
"Healing Machines?" Krillin asked.
Gohan nodded. "Yeah, Uncle Raditz said that the machines deposited some green liquid inside, and the newest models could heal someone as badly as Vegeta within a short hour." He answered.
"Well, I guess you're Uncle made sure you were well informed." Krillin replied. "I'm a bit surprised, he didn't seem the type to mention anything unless it was brought up."
Gohan raised his shoulders, shrugging in response.
"Damn it! And I thought we had some time to look for the Dragon Balls at least!" Piccolo growled. "Instead, we have to deal with him?!" Piccolo sighed, and rubbed his forehead. "For now, we keep our energies masked as much as possible, we don't need to attract unnecessary fights."
The two short fighters nodded in response.
