"Example" is the voice of the beast in Izuku's head

Time/Location

Izuku awoke suddenly, once again he was in an unfamiliar location. He looked around but couldn't see anything, he was surrounded by pitch-black nothingness. He frantically looked around hoping to see something, anything to soothe his now racing mind and heart. 'No.. no, this can't be happening again. I can't be in that place again.'

Before the boy could break down into a full-on panic attack he heard a familiar boom from behind him "Ah, so you're the one who interrupted my sleep young master."

The voice brought a wave of calm to the frantic boy, one he couldn't quite explain. As he turned around he saw plumes of smoke bellow around him and the bright and glowing red eyes that clashed against his own. He should now be even more terrified looking at the thing now in front of him, but for some reason, he felt more complete and whole with the being now in front of him.

The moment was interrupted by the booming voice once again. "I would appreciate it if you would make up your mind on using me or not. It takes a lot out of me to come out of hibernation like that young one."

"What are you talking about?! And where am I!?" the boy asked confused.

"You don't recognize it? All the pain, the hurt, the loneliness?" the voice asked.

The boy looked around and just as the voice said, the aura around them was a depressing and gloomy one.

"This is your core young master. It is where I reside, as well as your core memories. You've been through a lot of pain and so your core reflects that." the voice said with a plume of smoke.

"I guess that sort of explains things but still, why am I here?" he looked up curiously.

"When you called upon me I was forced to take over and so your consciousness retreated back into your core. Do not worry, this is temporary. The faster your body heals you should regain consciousness."

"I guess that's reassuring, but then what are you since you reside inside me?"

"All in time, young one, for now, it is time for you to return." the voice declared.

As Izuku woke up again, he slowly looked around to confirm that this time he was back in the world. As his eyes dawdled around the room his mind flooded with the memories of his failure, of his defeat. He went to roll over so he could get out of bed and everything stung, once again he felt as if he was on fire. Recovery girl soon realized he was awake and called out to him.

"I sincerely hope that isn't how you plan on solving every problem, that takes a toll on your body and it could break down."

Not prepared for the sudden conversation from the youthful heroine Izuku quickly flashed a fake smile and scratched the back of his head as he said "I didn't mean to, I'm so very sorry that you had to take care of me."

"Stop that, please it's my job to do so." She said with a sweatdrop. "You better not keep ending up in these situations you hear me?" She said as she hit him on the head with her giant needle-like cane.

"Oww, yes I understand. I'll try my best." He said with another fake chuckle leaving his body.

"Moving on, you will be sore for a few days and so I recommend you get some rest and take these vitamins twice a day until you feel normal again," she said as she grabbed a bottle full of gummies and handed them to him.

"Alright I will, thank you!" he said with a half bow as he was still in bed.

His clothes were all torn up from whatever happened during the exam and since the thing wouldn't tell him he was left clueless as he walked home in some sweats UA had given him. He felt every pang as he walked, his calves and forearms burning with every slight movement, every step he took, every brush of his arm against his side. He was truly miserable. The physical hurt didn't even begin to come close to how truly broken he had begun feeling now though.

He didn't look up a single time on his way home, every now and then he would bump into someone but he didn't seem to be paying attention. He was stuck in an unhealthy train of thought, one he wouldn't escape until he had to go down the back alley and enter his home.

The boy did eat free at UA, however, due to recovery girls quirk his energy was completely drained. Even so, the boy refused to go to the convenience store where he might see Hisao-san, he felt like a failure and didn't have the stomach to face the man who had so wholeheartedly believed in him.

So there the once hopeful teen slept and wept through his days, barely going through the motions, never once leaving his apartment. He never left his room, his windows were covered with old sheets to not let in the light during the day, but once night came the boy looked to the stars.

He repeated this way of living for roughly a week and a half before he knew what he had to do, he had to put an end to this. As he collected his things he looked around his room, knowing this would be the last time he left it if he was successful, no this time he would at least succeed at this. He took off and left the door cracked so the next dweller could easily access the vacant home. He strolled down the streets looking around and he took notice to the fact that not many people were out and about. This walk would take a long time, however, and he needed to start his journey.

Kamino ward, 3 am:

Izuku had walked far, but he had finally found where he wanted to go out. He recalled the alley he was in and searched for it for what seemed like forever. Once he had found it he knew he was now one step closer to his new goal. It took some time for him to find a way up but once he had he felt a final wave of accomplishment come over him as he looked over the bustling Kamino ward. This place was a wonder, going at all cylinders at all times of the day. Soon the sound began to drown out completely as he closed his eyes and collected himself. This was the end, the end of all his suffering, all the teasing he was put through, the ridicule, the lies, everything. He would be at peace, all he needed to do was jump. The boy looked down and assured himself it would be fast and painless, no one survives a fall from 8 stories anyways right? He moved his left foot towards the edge when all of a sudden an outburst pierced through to him.

"HEY, YOU, GET DOWN FROM THERE!" screamed a voice from below him.

He looked down and saw none other than the girl he met at the entrance exams, pinky.

"N- NO, I CAN"T, it'll finally end…" he responded, his voice getting weaker and wavering as he spoke.

"YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO THIS!" the girl yelled up at the figure.

"YOU COULD NEVER UNDERSTAND. I HAVE NO ONE, NEVER HAVE, NOW THAT DOESNT MATTER. l-LEAVE BEFORE yOU HAVE TO SEE i-IT."

"NO I WON'T, I'LL STAY AND BE HERE FOR YOU. JUST PLEASE COME DOWN." The girl screamed, putting her arms back at her sides and facing the pavement.

Izuku didn't believe her, how could he? Every time someone said they'd be there they always left, or bullied him after they found out about his life. It made him angry, what did she know? She couldn't possibly know anything. Seeing that she wasn't looking the boy jumped down back onto the roof and ran to the other side. He may not end it in that alley but it'd be close enough. He took a strong leap and suddenly he was falling, swan diving at the ground.

His peaceful fall was interrupted by a frantic voice. "WHERE DID YOU GO?! PLEASE STAY SAFE, AND COME FIND ME."

Something in him hurt and something in him snapped as he thought of the girl that wanted to get to know him he felt his body stop falling. ' Is this how death feels? Just absence of pain, am I a ghost or something?' He looked down, expecting to see his body, or another ethereal darkness below him, but instead, he saw his token red sneakers crushed into the ground, almost as if it was the day the boy could see it clearly. The cement pushed around his feet, each little shard. He continued to look around and that's when he saw them, the blood red and black wings. They were spread out, he quickly connected the dots and realized what was happening. "So I do have a quirk? But why didn't it show up sooner? What is it exactly? How could I survive that fall? How can I see so clearly? What's happening to me?-"

Before he could continue his rant he felt the wings take off, only to discover that he was not in control whatsoever. They brought on a lot of pain and soon Izuku felt himself fading out of consciousness. _

"You forced me again, I told you I do not like this. We have not bonded yet, this is preposterous. Such disrespect for the tradition." The voice boomed.

"No, no-no-no. It can't be you, not again? WHAT DID YOU DO" He suddenly felt a burst of anger take him over.

"You are at home. I have brought your body back after you passed out. Don't expect me to do it again." the voice stated obviously pissed off.

"Home? This isn't home?" Izuku said as he scanned the room. He determined that he was in a cave of some kind.

"This place will help you unlock your truth, It is a place of peace, but also a place of danger." the voice stated slowly, still a bit agitated by the boy. "It is here that you shall unlock the beginning of your powers."

"My powers? So I do have a quirk? But what is it?" the boy asked aloud, hoping the voice knew more.

"I have waited generations for a truly worthy vessel, your father came close but alas, you were the one," he said plainly.

"M-my father?" Izuku's hand clenched hard, so hard it hurt. To think this was something he obtained from those who had abandoned him. It made him angry, very angry.

"You shall understand more in time, now go sit on the pedestal and meditate. If you are truly worthy as I believe you shall find some of the answers you seek."

Izuku began to scan the room for the pedestal the voice spoke of and there it was. It was a finely carved pedestal, one made of a stone he couldn't quite identify. Izuku climbed up on the pedestal and closed his eyes, tried to concentrate on finding out about this power and what it had to do with him. After twenty minutes of this the boy got fed up, it wasn't working, of course, it wasn't. Only now when the boy opened his eyes he was no longer in the cave. He was riding upon a dragon, one with powerful blood red and black wings…

As he flew on the back of the dragon he noticed that he could not speak, he seemed to be a visitor, one that could not interact with the things around him. 'What am I doing here? Why am I on a dragon? WHY DO EVERYTIME I GET AN ANSWER I HAVE MORE QUESTIONS' Izuku thought to himself when all of a sudden the dragon shot towards the ground. He was in a nosedive, one that felt similar to when he jumped. Suddenly the wings shot out and braced the dragon fro landing. When Izuku looked up he saw a man standing before the dragon.

"Oh powerful being, won't you bless my son. I have done what you have asked, I have the sacrifice." The man said as he pulled out two boys from the cart that was behind him.

"You ask me to bless this child at the cost of his brother's life. What an awful father you are. Needless to say, I shall do what you ask." the dragon's voice boomed.

Izuku quickly recognized the voice. The one that was in his head to be the dragon. 'What's going on here?' the boy pondered before quickly looking back at the interaction.

The dragon took to the two boys and begun to chant something to the boy he would be blessing. The man moved out of the way and worked his way around the dragon. Before he took out a dark dagger, one with what looked like a dragon's head carved into its hilt. Izuku quickly caught on to what the man was planning on doing before he tried to warn the beast. He couldn't talk, he couldn't interact with what was happening. He couldn't prevent what was going to happen.

The man waited for the dragon to finish his chanting and for one of the twins to take his last breath before he acted. The man made his way to the beast's neck and drove the dagger into the dragon's soft spot. The beast roared loudly.

"Traitorous human. How dare you attack me." the beast said as he felt his energy drain. "NO , it can't be, where did you obtain such a dagger?" he roared at the man.

The man started to laugh hysterically at the beast who grew weaker and weaker by the moment. "I made a deal that would benefit my family, that's all that concerns you. Once you die I can use this dagger to pass your power down to my bloodline. Your powers will become ours and you will die!"

The beast tried to get up but he couldn't, but then he began to do something Izuku barely noticed. He began to chant again over the boy.

The man screamed, "NO WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!"

"You may have thought that you were blessing your bloodline, however, I have cursed it. Your family will never know the luxury of a long life. They will know nought but pain. They will be ridden with strife. You may have obtained my powers but at what cost? A curse on your bloodline." the dragon said as he drew his own final breath.

Soon all of what the dragon was seemed to catch on a fire of gold, which started to swirl around the dagger until there was nothing left but bone and the dagger fell onto the ground. The power soon erupted from the dagger and made its way into the now only newborn.
_

Izuku's eyes shot open, tears were streaming down his face. He looked down and realized that he was not sitting upon a pedestal. But the skull of the dragon that he saw butchered with his own eyes.

"So you understand now? You understand your own existence?" the beast asked.

"Am I-" Izuku started before the beast finished.

"Yes, you are that man's descendant." the beast said.

"That means that I'm cursed? Is there any way to break it?" the boy asked, tears still streaming down his face.

"None, I'm sorry young master but you will also die a young tragic death like all those before you, well almost all."

"What do you mean almost?" the boy asked.

"Your father still lives, he has not yet died. You, the firstborn were cursed, the rest were not."

I took inspiration for the dragons' energy transfer from Skyrim as some of you may have guessed, I just tweaked it a bit.

It appears this is going to be an IzuMomo fic so I hope you all are ready for this roller coaster :)

Please feel free to leave a review!

Anyways I hope everyone has a great day!
