Hey friends! I was really itching to publish an Aikou one-shot, and since I was on hiatus for a while, write a lil chappy for being SUCH an inconsiderate author ^^ . This is an AU where Kourin bakes, or rather tries to bake, cookies for Aichi.

Cringy and Cliche, yes, but my brain is nothing but a swampland, so its expected.

Now, les GOOOOOOO.

Kourin bit her lip in frustration. In the last 2 hours, she had baked at least 20 batches of cookies and burnt all of them. Her hair was a mess, her clothes covered in batter and her apron partially burnt. It wasn't helping that the clock in front of her kept annoying and reminding her that he would be home soon and the entire surprise would be ruined.

Brushing aside thoughts of just giving up and reading her favorite book instead, she threw the mess out and started cooking another batch. Mixing, rolling and putting them on a sheet was keeping her so busy that she forgot she was low on a key ingredient : Flour

Looking all around her, she found out that the only bag of flour left, was on a shelf much, much higher than she could reach. But she threw her common sense and logical reasoning out the window, did the stupid thing and tried to grab it.

With the tips of her fingers barely reaching it, she gave it a sharp tug and gave a cry of surprise.

She had slipped on some dough.

A large cloud of flour surrounded her at once. Coughing and waving her hands, she looked around the kitchen wildly. It was white all over and resembled a fluffy little cloud.

Hands on hips, she was devastated, and felt hot tears pricking in at the back of her eyes, ready to start falling any minute, when she suddenly felt a pair of hands around her waist pull her into a comforting embrace.

Turning around she met a pair of familiar sapphire blue eyes, filed with amusement and some worry.

''A-Aichi, welcome back!'' she said, wiping her eyes quickly.

''What's wrong Kourin-san?'' he asked, smirking like he already knew the answer.

She hesitated for a second, but then the whole story came tumbling out, punctuated with a tear or two.

Aichi listened quietly, then smiled softly. Leaning in he wiped her tears and gave her a kiss.

She was very surprised, but as long as it was Aichi, she wasn't complaining.

They pulled from the kiss after nearly five minutes, panting and giggling like little kids, before sitting down on the kitchen counter and cuddling for a while. Aichi had one hand on her waist, another stroking her hair, while she placed both hands on his chest, her face buried in his neck.

''Feeling better yet?'' He whispered softly in her ear.

''Yeah, much better. Sorry for crying about something so small.'' she replied, smiling.

''It's alright. Now c'mon, lets clean up this kitchen and bake ourselves some cookies!'' Aichi said jumping from the counter. Kourin just laughed at his enthusiasm, and joined in helping him clean up.

They finally finished cleaning up the mess after nearly 3 hours, and sat down on the couch for a rest, a plate of cookies in front of them. Munching on them periodically, they paused every few minutes to give each other fleeting kisses.

''Hey, Aichi?'' Kourin looked up and said smilingly

''Hm?''

She moved up so she was directly looking at him. ''Thank you, for everything.''

He grinned and hugged her till she almost suffocated.'' No problem. Anything for you, my princess!''

Then they both cracked up and started laughing. They had never been happier.

So, I hope you guys liked that. I'm REALLY sorry for not writing the Kaisaki one-shot Solitary Wind-chan, mainly cause I didn't know what to write, but I'll try my best to do it!
