Welcome back to another chapter of Pokemon: Hold The Heathen Hammer High! I hope you enjoy, since it's been a while since I've written for this cuz of computer issues. Thanks for all of your views, love, and support, Jiro 'The Father Of Halflings' Uchiha, OTF INC
Krom sighed, wiping sweat from his brow as he walked on Route 2 North, nearing Pewter City as he traveled on foot. Coming up on a small building that broke off North Route 2 and South Pewter City, Krom glanced to Homika and Orzhov, the Ice Halflings both seeming slightly uncomfortable in the dead heat. "Are you two alright? Viridian Village was hot, but it didn't seem to bother you two." he said, and Homika grunted as her eyes moved in his direction momentarily. "Viridian was also heavily shaded by trees. The trees had moisture Halflings can absorb to keep cool. Dead Heat like this isn't detrimental to our health, but it is irritating." she said, and Krom hummed.
"Would it be better if I made it rain?" he asked, and she shrugged. "Orzhov is a Sneasel. If he wanted to, he could use Surf to cool us off." she said as she used her sleeve to wipe sweat from her brow, grunting as they reached the building. Walking inside of the surprisingly large building, Homika and Orzhov let out sighs of relief at the air conditioned building, noticing that there was a small sitting area nearby. Sitting down, the trio looked to the northern exit of the building, where they would soon be exiting through, looking to each other and smiling.
Simba exited Vraakas' home, exhaling as he listened to the god with him pester him. "Why'd ya have to just catch me like that? Huh? There was no reason to randomly capture me! I'm a god!" he heard, looking to the floating Djinn next to him. "Hoopa, be quiet please. Some of us are actually thinking." he said, the god growling as he balled his tiny fists. "You'd be screwed if I had that bottle." he said, and Simba's head and eyes turned to him and locked onto him faster than Hoopa realized was possible. He noticed Simba's face extended slightly, the sight making Hoopa sweat in fear.
"The bottle? Please. If you become Unbound, I will still defeat you. Infact, I think your Unbound form would be good practice for Rafiki, don't you?" he asked, his features relaxing as he continued walking. Hoopa growled in anger, pulling one of the rings from his head and vanishing through it, giggling at his freedom. However, it was short lived, as the spot he reappeared was simply on the other side of Simba. He blinked, wondering how that was possible.
"Wh-what happened?" he asked, and Simba sighed. "You travel through your rings to a set destination. You can also warp space, but not to the same degree as Palkia, who was created for the exact purpose of ruling over space. You traveled through your rings to a place where you could be free. Unfortunately, as you didn't specify where that was, I was able to set your destination to my other side, as I am your trainer." he said, and Hoopa growled. "You Bastard!" he shouted, and Simba nodded. "My parents couldn't be married with my mother being a Luxray. Sounds about right." he said, angering Hoopa more.
"Why'd you even let me out of my ball anyway!? What do you want from me?" he asked, and Simba chuckled. "I want you to bring me someone." he said, and Hoopa blinked. "Someone?" he asked, and the Cat King nodded. "Of course. Travel to Lumiose, and scour the alleyways for a boy with blond hair and black stripes. He will be incapable of Human Speech. His name is Fenrir. Bring him to me." he said, and Hoopa frowned. "And what do I get in return?" he asked, and Simba shrugged. "What could you possibly want that I am willing to give you?" he asked, and Hoopa frowned.
"I want the bottle. I want to be able to know that my full power is within my reach." he said, and Simba nodded. "Done. I have the bottle tracked down already, and will show it to you after you bring me Fenrir." he said, and the Djinn sighed, nodding as he vanished through one of his rings. The Luxray sighed. "I never thought a god could be so annoying." he said, shaking his head.
Entering Pewter City, Krom noticed that it wasn't very large compared to Castelia or even Hearthome, which seemed to be important to their regions. Heading to the Pokemon Center, Krom noticed that, here in Pewter, the Nurse Joy at the reception desk was also a Halfling. Walking up to said desk, the girl blinked. "Mr. Hitoawa?" she asked, and he blinked, nodding. "You know me?" he asked, and she nodded. "Mr. Brock told me to keep an eye out for you." she said as she reached into the counter and pulled out a room key. "The room number is Fifty-Nine, and it's on the second floor." she said, and Krom blinked, nodding his thanks. He turned to Homika, who rose a brow.
"Brock is really eager to battle you. I'd be worried." she said, and Krom sighed. "Should I get any of the Pokemon I left behind for this?" he asked, and she shrugged. "Brock has multiple Pokemon capable of Mega Evolution. It's up to you." she said, and Krom sighed. "I haven't encountered many Pokemon capable of that. To face multiple in a single battle seems worrying." he said, and Homika nodded. "People assume that using Mega Evolution on more than one Pokemon per team is impossible, but Brock has had hundreds of years of training and practice." she said, and Krom nodded.
Reaching the second floor, Krom hummed. "Cernunnos and Acheron will definitely be part of my team. Clera is a cleric, so she can tend to the Pokemon who aren't able to continue. I have no idea what will be on Brock's team though. Would weather effects put me at an advantage?" he asked, and Homika shrugged as they reached their room. Krom unlocked the door, walking in and blinking. "Did he give us some kind of VIP treatment?" he wondered aloud, noticing the large TV, leather furniture and impressive bed in the other room. Homika shrugged.
"Couch turns into a bed, so Orzhov has somewhere to sleep thankfully, cuz I wasn't sharing a bed with you and him." she said, and Krom narrowed his eyes, wondering if that was supposed to be a jab at his bedtime habits. Sitting on the couch with Krom in the middle, Orzhov piped up. "I have done a little research on Mr. Brock." he said, and Krom hummed. "Really? What did you find out?" he asked, and Orzhov hummed. "Weather will not put you at an advantage, since two of Brock's most famous Pokemon are Kabutops and Omastar, both of which benefit from Rain. And, being a Rock type specialist, Brock is at a huge advantage in sand, which somehow gives Rock, Ground and Steel types a boost in their defenses towards non physical offense." he said.
Krom sighed. "And the Sun and Hail have a natural disadvantage against Rock types. Lovely." he said, looking to Homika. "Any idea what's on his team?" he asked, and Homika shrugged. "He has many Pokemon for many people of many skill levels. He even has teams to counter teams that counter Rock types. All I know is, that with this treatment, he'll be bringing something frightening." she said, and Krom rolled his eyes, sighing. "Lovely." he said sarcastically, glancing to Orzhov for a second before looking back to Homika. "What's the Church's presence in this town?" he asked, and Homika laughed. "When the Church makes an effort to infiltrate Pewter city, they leave in stone coffins." she said, and Krom began to wonder exactly what kind of man Brock was.
Shaking his head of such thoughts, Krom chuckled. "Well, at least we can split up and travel the city without having to worry about that." he said, and Homika nodded. "Speaking of which, I'll be heading out shortly. A friend of mine is in town, and I wanted to see him." she said, and Krom blinked, nodding silently. "And I wanted to check out the museum and this supposed person who can teach Pokemon Seismic Toss." he said, and Orzhov blinked. "What about me?" he asked, and Krom shrugged. "You can do whatever you want Kid." he said, and Orzhov frowned.
"I don't know what to do." he said, and Krom stood. "Come with me. Go with Homika. You can do whatever you want. I'm fairly sure there's no chance anything bad can happen." he said, and Orzhov nodded. Homika and Orzhov stood, the Sneasel leaving the room first. Krom looked to Homika, who rose a brow. "He seemed like he was in a rush." she said, and Krom shrugged. "He has no reason to be. Perhaps he just wants something to eat or a place to relax with Foxy outside." he said, and Homika nodded, kissing her husband before leaving. "I'll be back by sundown. If you aren't back within two hours of me, I'm gonna find you and kill you." she said, and Krom laughed. "Love you too Homika." he said, and she smiled.
Orzhov sighed, sitting on the outskirts of the city, Foxy next to him. The Zoroark grunted, the Sneasel looking in her direction. "It's good to be able to relax at least. I'm happy that we don't have to worry about the Church." he said, and the Fox made a bark-like exhale in agreement. "What should we do Foxy? Should we go get something to eat?" he asked, and she grunted as she stood with him, the boy petting her long, thick mane as they began walking back towards the city.
Krom entered the museum, enthralled by the many things he saw. Fossil and minerals of many kinds were on display, his eye immediately noticing something very odd in the center of the museum. In the center of the museum was a massive fossil skeleton, of a Dragonite that must've stood at least Fifty feet in height when it was alive. If Dragonite were this big back then, how big were the Gods that had to compete with them? He wondered, walking through the museum casually. Glancing into one of the cases, he stopped as he noticed something that seemed as if it was put there just for him.
In a display case listed 'new', was a large black scale, blacker then the Onyx in a nearby case. How the hell did Brock get his hands on this? He wondered, holding his hand over the case. His hand resonated with the scale as electricity silently moved between him and the scale. He heard a chuckle, turning to see Brock himself standing there. Krom moved his hand away from the display case, turning to face the Gym leader, who was nearly as Tall as Krom. "Glad to see you enjoy the museum." he said, and Krom frowned. "Explain that to me." he said, pointing to the scale in the display case. "The scale? It's simply a scale I found." he said, smiling. Krom narrowed his eyes.
Brock noticed Krom's nails slightly increase in size, slightly sharpening in time with his narrowed eyes. "Don't call that just a scale." he said, and Brock chuckled. "You seem easily provoked. As to be expected from a Dragon." he said, and Krom inhaled, placing his hand at his side. Brock chuckled. "Relax. That scale was found while I was in Pinwheel a short while back. Remember that your father nearly lost his arm?" he said, and Krom cursed, his teeth grit at the thought. Brock rubbed his chin while thinking. "I do believe your father would have been able to defeat Groudon if not for the injury he suffered." he said, sighing. "Your father lost many more scales than just that one. I have the rest in a storage room if you want them." He said, making Krom frown.
"Why do you have them?" he asked, and Brock chuckled. "Simba told me to give them to you when you arrived. Luckily, I stored them in the same room where Orku is." he said, and Krom frowned as he followed the Gym Leader. "Who's Orku?" he asked, and Brock smiled, looking back to him. "The man you came here looking for. Orku is the one who teaches trainer's Pokemon Seismic Toss." he said, and Krom blinked. "You put both of them together intentionally. Why?" he asked, and Brock made no sound or motion Krom could pick up. "Because I like making things easy for those I care about." he said, and Krom narrowed his eyes at that statement as he entered a storage room with Brock, noticing that there was a door on the far side of the room.
"Orku! It's me, and I got Krom with me!" Brock shouted, Krom not sensing or hearing anything afterward for a short span of time. Then, he saw the door on the far side of the room open, a loud, creaking sound that let Krom know that the door wasn't used much. Krom saw an old man walk in, his form hunched over and small, despite the fact that he seemed to be in good physical shape. Krom rose a brow at the man, whose skin seemed to be an odd color, the man wearing a coat over his shoulders despite the heat. Brock smiled. "Krom, I want you to meet Orku Strongarm. He'll be the man who can teach your Pokemon Seismic Toss." he said, and Krom nodded. He walked up to the man, extending his hand out in a sign of respect, the elderly man refusing to shake his hand. Krom placed his hand back at his side, finding the old man's disrespect odd.
Orku looked to Brock. "Finish your business with the boy before I acknowledge him." he said, and Brock sighed. He folded his arms, looking to Krom with a stern look on his face. "Krom. Since you are the son of a god, and seemingly the one most likely able to defeat the Church, I want you to know that I will be using my most Powerful team. A team that I haven't used in a very, very long time." he said, and Krom frowned. His most powerful team? On top of his known usage of Mega Evolution? Great. Krom thought, sighing as he nodded. Brock's frown deepened. "However, I have one request." he said, and Krom rose a brow. "As my team will be a team that has had two centuries of practice, I would like to test the Pokemon of yours that can use Mega Evolution." he said, and Krom blinked.
"You want your team to take on DJ Swamp and Birisu?" he asked, and Krom narrowed his eyes. "You want to ask me which Pokemon to use, for what purpose?" he asked, and Brock chuckled. "To test them. Your Swampert is very interesting, and I want to see the extent of his power. The same goes for Birisu. As Birisu is a Mewtwo, he had access to a Mega Evolution with a Non-Physical Offense so great that he may be capable of defeating all of my Pokemon with ease." he said, and Krom laughed. "I doubt that. But, I do like the challenge. I accept. I will use Birisu and DJ Swamp as two of my Pokemon." he said, and Brock smiled. "Thank you. I will now leave so Orku can teach you properly." he said, exiting the room.
Krom turned to the old man, who smiled. He threw the coat off and Krom's heart skipped a beat. The man stood up to his full height, standing taller than Krom and flexing his large muscles that spanned across four arms instead of two. "Now then, before I even consider teaching your Pokemon, I want you to come at me." he said, and Krom frowned, wondering why the Machmp Halfling wanted to fight him personally. The Machamp seemed to pick up on his confusion. "If you can't overwhelm an old man, how can your Pokemon hope to overwhelm the seasoned veterans on Brock's team?" he asked, and Krom nodded slowly as he understood. He inhaled as he prepared for the elderly Machamp Halfling.
Krom slid back, feeling the soles of his shoes being ground down. He panted, coated in sweat, his shirt already discarded. Orku looked at his exposed chest, chuckling. "You do not have many scars, and yet you have fought many battles. I commend your skill." he said, and Krom smiled, running forward. He wants me to outmatch him in strength even slightly to teach ME Seismic Toss. But, his extra set of arms is such a pain. He said, stopping short and standing on one leg. Stomping forward, he threw a single punch at Orku's chest, the Halfling stepping backwards and avoiding the slow attack with ease. Krom stood straight, stepping forward.
Fenrir sat in the small room in a chair. He was inside. Why? Why was he inside? No one had ever wanted him inside before but Her. He heard the door open, and he saw two people come in. He made a growl in defense, the tall, shiny skinned one with a tail, lifting said tail as he began talking in a way the boy didn't understand. Next to him a person in a blue jacket and shorts. Who were these people? The man with the tail sat on the floor, smiling as the other person joined him, the man gesturing for Fenrir to come closer.
Being slightly afraid, and extremely wary, he remained still. The man gestured again, Fenrir getting out of the chair and standing. There were no windows, and the only door was past the two people. Fenrir frowned at the fact that he was stuck. So, he'll just do what they said until he had a chance to get free. He sat across from them, and the man inhaled. When he spoke, Fenrir understood him, as if he was speaking another language.
"It's alright Fenrir. No one here wants to hurt you." he said, and the boy blinked. No one? Everyone normally wanted to hurt him. Why was this place so different? He saw the man smile. "My name is Simba. This here is Kyouhei." he said, referring to the person with him. He placed a hand on his chest, unable to speak and greet them. He normally greeted Her by hugging Her, but he didn't want to hug these strangers. The one without the tail laughed at him, the one with the tail rolling his eyes at him.
Simba sighed. "Fenrir. I brought you here to teach you. I want you to be able to talk to anyone, and do anything, because you'd make a great friend for my children. Will you let me teach you?" he asked, and Fenrir was confused. What would make him want to do that? Fenrir didn't know. Simba smiled. "This way, you'll be able to tell Bonnie how you feel about her directly." he said, and he perked up at Her name. He could tell her what he was thinking? He didn't think much, cuz he wasn't smart, but to be able to talk to, and be with, Her, is something he always wanted. He smiled. He nodded his head, Simba chuckling. "Very good. Come on, let's get started."
Kyurem coughed as he walked throughout the village, smiling at all of the hustle and bustle. Using his energy, he managed to sense out that everyone was happy, and that no one was sad, or faking their happiness, something that made the old dragon smile. He looked to his side, remembering that the cat he always had with him, Acheron, was with Krom, the thought of the powerful child making him smile. As he got to the edges of the village, he noticed a stark, intense aura, one that was seething with anger and hatred. Walking towards it, he frowned as the intensity seemed to rival Arceus, something he only sensed a few times before. When he reached the source, he was surprised to say the least.
He saw a small group of trees knocked down, an odd sight near to such a hugely nature based village. He sighed, walking forward with the wooden cane he held, tapping the toppled trees and using his power to restore them to their original state. As he followed the path of toppled trees, which all seemed to have been knocked over with sheer force, he noticed the aura simmer down, something that made him hum. He knew full well that whatever the source of this angry aura was, it could've sensed him and tried to conceal itself. He reached a small clearing where the trees were, thankfully, still standing untouched. He glanced about, exhaling at the silence.
He looked to the center of the clearing, noticing that Shere-Khan was sitting in a meditative state, his energy fluctuating starkly, so much so that it was visible to the naked eye. The energy reached a constant as he stood and turned to Kyurem, who smiled at the angry Halfling. "What seems to be the problem child?" he asked, and Shere-Khan exhaled sharply. "I fought Taka a while back." he said, and Kyurem rose both brows. "Fighting your cousin? Isn't that against Simba's rules?" he asked, and Shere-Khan snarled. "He was trying to kill a prisoner behind my father's back. I had to stop him." he said, and Kyurem nodded in understanding. Shere-Khan clenched his fists. "But I lost. Badly." he said, and Kyurem blinked, honestly surprised. "And this angers you?" he asked, and Shere-Khan nodded. "All I want is to beat him now, and I hate it." he said, and Kyurem rose a brow.
Kyurem tapped the ground with his cane, making a small chair made of solid dirt and grass appear as he sat down. "You are a prince. You should be worrying about reaching your father's level, not defeating a lower ranking family member. Is this what you are thinking?" he asked, and Shere-Khan nodded. "But you are conflicted because he will return from Jazal's imprisonment even stronger." he stated, and Shere-Khan nodded. Kyurem exhaled. "These are all valid concerns. I now fully understand your struggle." he said, and Shere-Khan exhaled. Kyurem pointed his cane at the young Halfling. "You are how old? Not even a full year? And yet here you are, far more well developed and powerful than most Halflings twenty times your age. How much experience can one of your age truly have?" he asked, and Shere-Khan frowned, grinding his teeth.
"You were born when Krom came to the village the second time I believe. This was months before his wife conceived and months more before she gave birth. This means that you are what, nine, perhaps ten or eleven months old? How old is this Taka?" he asked, and Shere-Khan blinked. "Four, with the body of an adult human." he said, and Kyurem nodded. "Sometimes you can not always be victorious. However, you managed to hold off someone four times your age, and around double your size long enough for someone to intervene. This is a victory." he said, and Shere-Khan blinked, realizing that the old god was right. "But what do I do about my want for revenge?" he asked, and Kyurem tapped his cane on the ground. "Revenge is completely your own to take. I can not advise you on when or how to take Revenge or not. All I can do is remind you that, while seemingly evil, Taka is still family." he said, and Shere-Khan sighed.
"I know. I just want him to suffer at my hands." he said, and Kyurem chuckled. "So feisty you cats are. The time will come when you have a chance for revenge. All you have to do is survive and train until then child." he said, and Shere-Khan nodded. "I hope you're right. I just don't know what his full strength is. How am I supposed to surpass that which I don't know?" he asked, and Kyurem chuckled. "Your father would know much about this. Why don't you ask him?" he asked, and Shere-Khan scoffed. "My father is busy with that stray from Kalos." he said, and Kyurem smiled at the tone of his voice. "It sounds as if you are jealous or upset by this fact." he said, and Shere-Khan frowned. "I am his child. Why is he with Kyouhei and that other child?" he asked, and Kyurem laughed.
"Kyouhei is also his child. Not by blood, but still his child. Fenrir, the child from Kalos, is being cared for because he sees him as a good traveling partner and rival to your generation." he said, and Shere-Khan frowned. "My father thinks that child will be on our level?" he asked, his anger fading into curiosity. Kyurem smiled as he nodded. "You, Nappa, and any of Krom and Shira's children will be beyond him, you because of your natural skill, Nappa because of his sheer power and Krom and Shira's children will be hybrid Reshiram and Zekrom Halflings, putting them at an insane power state that may be even beyond Krom." he said, and Shere-Khan blinked.
Kyurem exhaled. "I am not in the proper condition to train you myself, or I would. Seek your father's tutelage after he finishes with Fenrir, or even train with Kyouhei. Kyouhei has been able to spar on par with Krom, so he would be quite the interesting opponent." he said, and Shere-Khan nodded. Kyurem stood, turning back towards the village. "Try to keep your composure next time. I expended an oddly large amount of energy to fix the damage you did to the environment around you." he said, Shere-Khan exhaling as he nodded, watching the old god vanish from sight as he sat back down and continued to meditate.
Orzhov and Foxy walked the streets of Pewter City, the duo noticing that everyone on the streets seemed relatively friendly, most smiling or nodding in his direction. Orzhov soon came upon a small restaurant, noticing that it was rather empty, the young woman behind the counter seeming disinterested with her job, Orzhov walking up to the door and opening it, the large fox following behind him as he walked up to the young woman, who's face held emotions he couldn't read as she reached down for a menu. "Welcome to the Pewter Cafe! My name is Elena, how can I help you?" she asked, and Orzhov smiled. "Do you guys have a menu for Pokemon?" he asked, and her smile faded slightly. "No actually, we don't." she said, and he hummed. "Do you have a policy against your menu being served to Pokemon?" he asked, and she shook her head. Orzhov smiled. "That's great. Table for two please." he said, holding his hand up as she handed Orzhov a menu and escorted him to a table near the window. The girl smiled. "I'll be right back to take your order." she said, and Orzhov smiled.
He looked to the menu, blinking. "Foxy, do you any idea what you want?" he asked, and the fox shrugged her shoulders. He tilted his head as he looked at the menu. "You want something sweet first, or not?" he asked, and she shook her head, and he smiled. Elena soon returned, pulling out a notepad to take their order. "What can I get you?" she asked, and Orzhov smiled. "Two orders of Gogoat cheese garlic bread." he said, and Foxy tilted her head before chuckling as the girl wrote down their order. "Anything to drink?" she asked, and Orzhov looked to Foxy. "Water will be nice." he said, and she smiled as she wrote them down, bowing before heading off.
Krom panted as he slid back, grinding his teeth as he realized that Orku was simply too fast for him. How am I supposed to outmatch someone who can throw 30,000 punches a minute, each with the force to demolish trains!? Krom thought, stalking around Orku carefully as he thought. He watched as the elderly Machamp turned towards him, Krom blinking as he thought of something he could do. He ran forward, Orku spreading his four arms as Krom ducked down, sliding around Orku as he stood and jumped, coming down as fast as he could with both of his legs, Orku whirling around as Krom inhaled, turning in midair as he slipped through Orku's left set of arms, extending his arm and slamming his tricep into Orku's throat, knocking him to the ground as Krom rotated in air again, landing on his feet as he slid from the force, rising back to a vertical base.
Orku chuckled as he sat up slowly, rising to his feet as he rolled his shoulders. "Very impressive." he said, rubbing his throat as he watched Krom carefully. "Do know that your little spinning trick won't work on me again." he said, and Krom narrowed his pupils slightly, inhaling carefully as he chuckled at the Halfling. "I wouldn't be too sure of that." he said, and the Machamp narrowed his eyes, seemingly goaded into making the first move. Krom inhaled carefully again as he smiled, watching Orku with careful diligence. Krom exhaled, his eyes immediately picking up on the muscle movement from Orku's left set of arms, Krom watching him close in as he pulled his left arms back, swinging them as Krom turned to his left and leaned to the side, kicking Orku in the stomach and knocking him in the air long enough to catch him by his lower left arm and spin him in a half circle before releasing him, the Machamp crashing into the nearest wall before rebounding with relative ease.
Orku noticed that Krom was quite calm for someone faced with an overwhelmingly more powerful opponent, and yet, he hadn't faltered, and had even managed to throw Orku into a wall, the elderly Machamp cracking his back before he closed in, using all of his speed as he swung his upper left fist in a jab, Krom leaning to Orku's left to avoid his right set of arms, catching the outstretched arm and tossing him overhead, Orku rolling in midair, hesitating as Krom stood in front of him, the demigod throwing a hard right kick that knocked Orku into the air much farther than he was expecting, Krom leaped into the air as fast as he could, catching Orku by his lower set of arms and his waist, leaning back as hard as he could to spin the duo around, both heading head first towards the ground, Orku cursing as he threw jabs with his upper set of arms in an attempt to knock Krom off.
However, even after two seconds and five hundred jabs to the face, Krom released Orku as he crashed head first into the ground, Krom flying through the air into a nearby wall, coughing as he stood, noticing that Orku had already rebounded and came at him with his face coated in blood, Krom beginning to taste blood in his mouth from the large series of punches he took. He inhaled, taking a fighting stance as he prepared himself, Orku coming at him with his fists already swinging, Krom unable to discern what fist came from what direction in what form of punch, the Zekrom Halfling focusing instead on Orku's chest as he reached him.
Krom watched his opponent's pectoral muscles flex with each punch, Krom noting the distinct muscle movements as he began to wobble, his focus reaching a peak as he began to effortlessly weave through hundreds, if not thousands of punches, clenching his right fist and bringing it up, slamming it into Orku's jaw as he kicked him in the chest, panting as he jerked his head towards the wall, taunting Orku, who stood up straight as he inhaled. "I see that you have came up with some form of technique that allows you to outwit me." he said, and Krom blinked. He laughed. "I'm not the smartest kid, but watching muscle movement and feeling the torque in the air from your movement allowed me to predict every attack you would make." he said, and Orku tilted his head slightly, furrowing his brow.
"So you're saying that you can feel what I'm going to do before I do it?" he asked, and Krom shook his head. "Nah, I can only detect your movements after your body begins initiating them. If you can attack faster than my eyes can follow, I have to rely on either defense, wild offense, or instinctual reflex." he said, and Orku laughed. "Impressive! I haven't met anyone who decided to use my own kinetic energy against me." he said, and Krom nodded. "Though I would like to keep training for the rest of the day. I want to be able to actively and consciously fend off all five hundred punches per second." he said, and Orku blinked, bursting out laughing as he nodded.
Orzhov smiled as he ate his main course, a Tomato Berry Soup, Foxy still shooting him odd looks as he ate soup for a main dish, the fox instead opting for a medium rare Buneary cutlet, Orzhov humming as he thought. "Hey foxy, do you think it's cannibalism if a Halfling eats the flesh of their Pokemon half?" he asked, and the fox stopped in the middle of her meal to shoot him a confused, shocked look. He blinked. "You're right. Perhaps that's not the best question to ask while eating." he said while chuckling, the fox nodding. He heard the door to the shop open, and noticed that, of all people, Nitro walked in, the Dragonite Halfling having an angry, yet arrogant air as always. What's he doing out of Viridian Village? Orzhov wondered. Orzhov frowned, realizing that if the Halfling decided to get uppity, he might not be able to dominate him, the thought making him clench his spoon tighter, Foxy reaching over and placing a paw on his arm, the Sneasel breaking out of his angry train of thought to smile at the fox.
He ate in silence as he watched the girl, Elena, tend to him with a fearful air, as the Dragonite was very loud and rude, something that made even Foxy shoot him dirty looks as he ordered a large quantity of food, Orzhov sighing in disgust as he shook his head, Nitro turning his head to the only other person in the Cafe. "Well well, if it ain't the weasel boy." he said, Orzhov choosing to ignore him. Nitro frowned. "Hey Weasel, you go deaf in your fight in the village or something!?" he shouted rather loudly, Orzhov downing his soup like a drink as he placed the bowl aside, hearing a chair fly across the floor as Nitro stood up and sauntered over to the younger Halfling. He glared down at Orzhov, who's muscles began to flutter, resisting the urge to begin twitching.
"Hey WEASEL!" he roared in Orzhov's face, the Sneasel choosing to ignore him as he wiped saliva off of his face, Foxy sending him a look of disbelief as he slammed his hand through the table, leaning close to Orzhov and smiling. "I might have taken shit from the demigod, but I'll damn sure not take shit from an upstart piece of trash like you." he said, Orzhov turning to him with lazy eyes, trying his best to keep calm. "I do hope you know that you just defaced someone's property. Makes you look bad." he said, and Nitro looked to the smashed table, smiling arrogantly as he turned back to Orzhov. "Oops. Guess you'll have to pay for that." he said, and Orzhov's eyebrows rose. "The only thing around here that gets paid for is your mother it seems." he said, and Nitro clenched his fist and pulled back, Foxy beginning to growl at him, Nitro instead swinging his fist directly at Foxy, Orzhov's heart throbbing loudly as he moved.
Orzhov's fist collided with Nitro's face, his nose shattering as a tooth flew, the waitress gasping as Nitro stumbled back, Orzhov putting his feet on the chair before leaping off and dropkicking Nitro, causing him to stumble and fall through a table before Orzhov leaped on top of him, clenching his fists as his fangs began to grow as his skin started to darken, his left ear beginning to grow red as a feather sprouted, his hands turning white as claws replaced his fingers, the angered young Halfling throwing a hard right Ice Punch, following up with a left punch, his anger at the fact that this lowlife tried to harm HIS Foxy, his best friend and a gift from his adoptive father, beginning to override his reason as he threw wild punches with no regard for his fellow Halfling.
Homika walked the streets of Pewter City, enjoying herself when she detected a flare in energy coming from the east, the Gym Leader calmly taking her time to reach the destination, freezing in shock when she saw her son, Orzhov, standing over the bloodied, seemingly dead form of Nitro, the irritating Dragonite having fallen to Orzhov's…. Homika honestly had no idea what Orzhov did that overwhelmed the Dragonite, but she was proud of him, tears coming to her eyes at the sight of her son, shifted into his therian form standing over the unmoving form of a defeated foe with his claws coated red in their blood, the normally callous Halfling fanning herself to keep control as he walked back to Foxy, panting. She began to walk towards him, hesitating as Nitro leaped up and charged after him roaring, Homika hoping that Orzhov picked up his movement.
Orzhov spun, catching Nitro between the legs and by his right shoulder, spinning him in the air as Orzhov leaned back, powerslamming the Dragonite as he leaped up, his chest heaving as he stalked away, slowly spinning as he dropped to his hands and knees, slamming his forearms on the ground like a crazed wildman, rising up as Nitro stumbled to his feet, turning to Foxy, who slapped him as hard as she could, the Dragonite stumbling into Orzhov, who turned, catching him around the throat with his left arm, leaping into the air and coming down, slamming Nitro through another table as the Dragonite ceased moving, his consciousness completely lost as Orzhov slowly reverted back to his natural state.
He dropped to the ground, nose to nose with Nitro, a smile on his face. "Don't you EVER try to harm Foxy or disrespect me or her again you piece of trash!" he shouted, standing up as he sighed. He blinked, looking around and realizing that they had torn the Cafe up, Elena still standing with her hand over her mouth and a shocked look on her face. Orzhov's cheeks heated up in embarrassment, his skin getting hot as he stuttered, trying to apologize, but not being able to find the words. The door jingled, Orzhov breathing a sigh of relief as Homika walked in, Elena regaining her composure and turning to the Gym Leader. "H-h-how may I help you?" she stuttered, and Homika smiled, reaching into the back pocket of her shorts and sighing. "How much will it cost to fix the damage?" she asked, and Elena shrugged, Homika opening her check book and writing a large sum before handing the check to Elena.
"Fix your Cafe with higher quality material, stockpile food material and take the day off. This should cover it." she said, smiling as Orzhov and Foxy walked over to her, Homika gesturing for the two to follow her from the Cafe. Orzhov stopped in front of Elena, scratching the back of his head. "I'm sorry about that Miss. I'll make sure to work hard and pay you guys back myself one day." he said, bowing respectfully before catching up with Homika. When he did, he looked up to her blank face as she walked, trying to explain himself as they turned a corner. "I'm sorry Mother, I didn't mean to cause trouble." he said, and Homika sighed as she sat on a nearby bench.
"Did he try to harm you or Foxy?" she asked, and he nodded, and Homika looked to the sky. "Then it's okay. He deserved every last strike he took." she said, and Orzhov exhaled as he sat next to Homika. Homika threw her arm around him, hugging him closely as she smiled. "I saw the whole thing. I'm so proud of you son." she said, and Orzhov blinked. He honestly had no idea how to feel. He just assaulted someone, put him threw two tables, and cost Homika likely thousands of dollars and yet she was getting choked up with pride while hugging him. He hugged her back, unsure whether or not he should be thrilled about that fact.
Homika smiled as she broke apart from Orzhov. "Listen to me. If anyone ever disrespects your family or your Pokemon, you have every right to fight for your, or your family's honor. It doesn't matter what you do, or how you do it, you show them that the Hitoawa family is to be respected. There is a reason three women have turned their surnames at birth into middle names to join this family." she said, and Orzhov steeled himself, nodding. "I understand." he said, and she smiled, patting his head as her phone began to ring. She frowned slightly, pulling the device from her pocket and putting it to her ear. "What is it?" she asked, hearing a familiar chuckle on the other end. "My, you seem rather impatient." she heard, rolling her eyes. "My patience with you is always thin, Simba." she said, making the Luxray Halfling laugh. "Point taken. Regardless, let Krom know when you see him that I've dropped off the Pokemon he requested to your room." he said, and she blinked. "Pokemon he requested?" she asked, and Simba hummed on the other line.
"He requested Sherman, DJ Swamp and Birisu. He said that he planned on going all out in his battle against Brock. He really does wish to take this particular battle more serious than any other." he said, and Homika sighed. "Because of the Pokemon he requested, I'm assuming that it would be best if Krom did this alone, huh? Us being there will only hinder him." she said, and he laughed. "Of course not. If you remain alert and in a corner, you should be fine. Although, you may want to practice fleeing from a collapsing Gym." he said, Homika rolling her eyes as she sighed. "Whatever. How are things on your end?" she asked, and he smiled, Homika almost able to hear his facial muscle moving. "Quite well. Saria and the kids are doing fine, so Krom has nothing to worry about. Kyouhei is currently sparring with Shere-Khan, and I'm working on a new project." he said, and she tilted her head. "Project?" she asked, and she frowned as Simba laughed before the line went dead, the Halfling grumbling loudly.
Simba laughed as he hung up on Homika, turning his attention back to Shere-Khan and Kyouhei, who sparred under close supervision. Rex and Vraakas stood near him, watching the battle intently. "Your kid is being really aggressive." Rex noted, and Simba sighed. "He's mad. He doesn't realize that he's very very young, and that his biggest flaw could literally be a lack of experience." he said, and Vraakas grunted. "What about Kyouhei? Do you think he benefits from this fight?" he asked, and Simba hummed. "Nope. Kyouhei only cares about enjoying life to be quite honest. His mental state is too childish to establish long term, hard to reach goals. Just the other day, his only goal was to do an accurate impression of Zekrom." he said, and Rex glanced to Simba. "You adopted this kid for what reason?" he asked, and Simba glanced to his friend.
"Protection. Kyouhei greatly benefits from having a legal guardian with my status. With me as his guardian, Kyouhei can live out his life much happier than if he was a constant target of the Church." he said, and Vraakas grunted again. "Won't he become less stable as he gets older? Aging at a human pace whilst your friends and loved ones all remain young for much longer isn't good for him. Look at us, we look no older than our mid to late twenties, and yet we're all a century old." he said, and Simba tilted his head. "That is true. Perhaps I'll have to come up with something that would increase his lifespan." he said, and Rex turned to him with a dumbfounded look on his face. "And how do you plan on increasing a human's lifespan indefinitely?" he asked, and Simba tilted his head, a cheshire grin spreading across his face.
Later that night, Krom panted after his training with Orku, the elderly Machamp seeming more worn out than he was. "You are quite the combatant." Orku said, Krom nodding his thanks. "I appreciate the training, but do you have time to teach my Pokemon?" he asked, and Orku laughed. "Of course not. It's bad enough Brock will have a fit that I'm hours late clocking out. All you need to do is speak to your Pokemon mentally. They'll understand. If you can do it, so can they." he said, and Krom blinked. "You're tellin' me that they'll just learn it?" he asked, and Orku chuckled. "Perhaps not as swiftly as you, but I'm sure your Mewtwo can spread the knowledge around quickly enough." he said, and Krom blinked, forgetting the psychic cat's capability. He laughed. "You're right. Thank you Orku. I hope that if push comes to shove, you'll join me on the battlefield." he said, and Orku smiled lazily. "Of course. It would be an honor to serve the son of Zekrom." he said, bowing slightly.
Reaching their room in the Pokemon Center, Krom noticed that Homika and Orzhov were already home, both of his loved ones sleeping on the couch, waiting for him it seemed. Krom chuckled quietly as he wiped sweat from his brow, closing the door quietly as he headed to his room, grabbing a clean shirt before heading over to the outstretched sofa bed and sitting down, Homika and Orzhov grumbling as he disturbed them. Before he could lay down, he heard a soft knock at the door, rising to his feet quickly as he walked to the door, clenching his fist as he turned the knob, ready to fight as he opened the door, freezing at his odd visitor.
"To what may I chock up this esteemed visit?" Krom asked sarcastically, a roll of eyes his response as he stepped to the side, allowing his visitor to walk in. "I don't leave Pinwheel often, unless it's for personal business." Krom heard, nodding. "And what business do you have with me this fine night, Amy?" he asked, the centaur Halfling sighing as she turned to look to him. "I want to know what you intend to do with me once you manage to take down my father." she asked, and Krom blinked. "Are you serious?" he asked, and the girl frowned, her eyes narrowing as Krom held in laughter. "Forgive me, but I don't intend on doing anything with you." he said, and she frowned. "So you're just going to let a world without Arceus have it's way with me?" she asked, and Krom shook his head, sighing as he leaned against the nearest wall.
"No. You live in Pinwheel, so that makes you amongst my closest allies. No harm shall come to you, and I swear that on my family's honor." he said, and Amy seemed to relax slightly. "Prove it." she said, and Krom raised a brow. "And how do you want me to prove myself to you?" he asked, and she folded her arms. "I want to get rid of the pesky 'Arukias' in my name." she said, and Krom moved from the wall and looked her in the eyes. "You telling me that you want me to marry you?" he asked, and she shook her head. "It doesn't have to be you. You have two sons at this moment, and will likely have more. I'd be happy to be a wife of theirs." she said, and Krom's jaw began to go slack. "You want me to arrange a marriage between the daughter of Arceus and one of my infant sons?" he asked, and Amy tilted her head. "Is there a problem? I can always join my father if there is." she stated boldly.
Krom pinched his nose, trying to remain quiet so that Homika and Orzhov could remain asleep. "I will not marry one of my sons off before they can even fend off a Pikachu in battle." he said, and Amy leaned down to him. "The big one can." she said, and Krom furrowed his brow in confusion. "Nappa?" he asked incredulously, and she nodded. Krom inhaled slowly, remembering his meditative breathing from his training with Orku. "As the patriarch of the Hitoawa family, I refuse your proposition. I do not know you well enough to marry you, and I refuse to marry one of my young sons to you when they haven't even aged far enough to gather a minor concept of sexuality and preference, much less an infatuation with you in particular." he said, and he heard shifting, turning to see Orzhov groggily walking over, blinking as he noticed the centaur Halfling. "Hello Ms. Amy, how have you been?" he asked, and Amy smiled.
She jabbed her arm out. "What about him?" she asked, and Orzhov blinked in confusion, much like Krom. "You want me to arrange a marriage between my adopted son and you? Just to squash any asinine fears of yours?" he asked, and Orzhov tilted his head. "Why would someone as strong as you need an insurance policy? Surely you could fend off anyone who would dare try to harm you." he said, and she sighed. "My power comes from my father. After he's defeated, unless I defeat him myself, all of my power will vanish." she said, and Krom rubbed his temples. "Why not talk to Simba about this?" he asked, and she sighed. "I have. He refused. So did Rex, and Vraakas, and even our human allies. Simba said that he'd change his mind if any of his sons became infatuated with me, but the rest were afraid for the safety of their own families." she said, and Orzhov noticed that she seemed crestfallen, and he looked to his father, who noticed the look and sighed.
Orzhov walked up to her, and stuck his hand out. Amy looked down at his hand before looking into his crimson eyes. "I'll accept your proposition. In return, you must give me any and all knowledge of your father that you have, along with a minimum of one son." he said, and Krom's jaw dropped as Amy blinked in confusion. Krom grabbed his jaw, closing it manually as he regained his composure. "Are you sure about this?" he asked, and Orzhov nodded. "Of course. I don't want anything bad to happen to Ms. Amy, and it's not like she's ugly or has a bad personality." he said, and Krom ruffled the boy's hair. "You're a good kid. Go back to bed." he said, and Orzhov yawned as he nodded, Krom gesturing for Amy to follow him out of the room.
Exiting the room, Amy looked at Krom with a boisterous grin. "Ha! I win!" she said, and Krom looked to her. "You better give him a son first." he said, and she inhaled. Krom tilted his head. "Since you're a centaur, does that mean that Orzhov has to… you know… like with a horse?" he asked, and Amy blinked, her cheeks turning red as she began to understand. "I can take a completely human form if I so desire." she said, and Krom breathed a sigh of relief. "Alright than." he said, hugging the centaur as he shook his head. "Have a good, safe night Amy. You better get used to calling me 'Dad'." he said, and she rolled her eyes as she vanished in a flash of light as Krom went in, still shaking his head as he retired to bed.
Simba looked to Amy in surprise. "You honestly got Orzhov to marry you?" he asked, and she smiled. "Yup. I won." she said, and Simba facepalmed as he handed the girl a basket of Jaboca Berries. "Was this bet serious though? Are you honestly afraid for your safety?" he asked, and Amy looked away, unable to answer, Simba nodding. "I understand. Know this, you have all of the Feline Halflings on your side. None of us will allow anything to happen to you." he said, and she smiled. "Thank you Simba." she said, and he patted her shoulder before heading to leave. "Don't get all nice on me, that's not very Arceus-y of you." he said, laughing as he left.
The next morning, Krom awoke quite early, and Homika arose with him. As Krom gathered his Pokemon after getting dressed, Homika sniffed the air. "Was Amy here?" she asked, and Krom looked to her in surprise. "Since when did you have an Arcanine's sense of smell?" he asked, and she slapped his arm. Krom laughed as they set out for the Pewter City Gym. "Yes, she was here infact." he said, and Homika folded her arms. "What did she want?" she asked, and Krom looked to Orzhov. "Orzhov, tell Homika what Ms. Amy wanted." Krom said, and Orzhov gulped as he looked to Homika, who's eyes were locked onto him. "Well, Ms. Amy came looking for answers to some questions that had been bugging her." he said, chuckling as he scratched the back of his head nervously.
Homika rose a brow. "What questions?" she asked, and Orzhov began laughing as he pulled on the collar of his shirt. "Well, she wanted to know what would happen to the sole descendant of Arceus after Dad defeats Arceus." he said, and Homika nodded slowly. "And after asking around, I set her fears at ease by telling her that I would protect her personally." he said, and Homika turned to Krom. "That's it?" she asked, and Krom held back laughter as he shook his head, Homika turning back to Orzhov. "Well, I asked for information on Arceus in return, so we'll know things as fast as Simba does." he said, chuckling very nervously as Homika turned to Krom with a confused look on his face.
Krom stopped at a nearby bench, sitting down before belting out in loud, hysteric laughter. Homika blinked as she watched her husband seemingly go insane laughing. After a small coughing fit and a loud, whooping 'Woo!', Krom looked to Homika. "The kid's leaving out all of the most important details." he said as he rose. "Amy wanted confirmation that I was serious about keeping her safe, so she demanded that a male Hitoawa marry her to make her feel safe because Simba, Rex, Vraakas and so on all refused." he said, and Homika blinked. "You told her to fuck off, right?" she asked, and Krom hummed as he began walking again. "After telling her that I didn't know her well enough and refused to marry one of my infant sons to her, or any sons I may have in the future, she insisted that at the least I could marry Nappa, Nappa, off to her, and I refused." he said, beginning to laugh as he told Homika what happened.
"But than, this is the good part, your son here wakes up and asks why she needs the help." he said, and Homika glanced to an Orzhov who became more and more nervous. "And after a small sob story that tugged at your heartstrings, and a single sad, pouty face, the White Knight here agrees to marry her in return for info on Arceus and a son." he said, bursting out in another round of hysteric laughter as Homika froze with a blank, shocked look on her face before turning to Orzhov, the young boy sweating rivers as Homika leaned down to him slowly. "Is this true?" she asked, and Orzhov nodded, Krom slowly calming down from his round of hysteric laughter as Homika stood up and folded her arms before continuing.
As Krom and Orzhov caught up with her, Homika cast a side glance at Orzhov. "We'll talk about this when we get home." she said, and Orzhov nodded as they came upon the large, brown roofed building. Krom inhaled as he walked in, noticing the rocky terrain all about as he saw Brock on the far side of the gym, the man wearing the bottom half of a gi and standing with his arms folded. "It's nice to see you Krom. How have you been?" he asked, and Krom nodded respectfully. "I am well." he said, and Krom walked forward confidently. "This is a standard six on six battle. First one of us with no Pokemon in fighting condition wins. Is that all right with you?" he asked, and Krom nodded, trying to remain completely relaxed. "Tell me, what's with the outfit?" he asked, and Brock laughed. "Well, after our battle, I figured that I'd see if Orku's training was worth his time, and the money I had to pay him for overtime." he said, making Krom chuckle.
Warriorf wiped the sweat from his brow as he finished, looking as the glistening metal in front of him. It was infact a beauty, something that only the greatest smith in the universe could forge he thought, smiling as he placed his hammer on his belt and walked outside. He saw the serene morning, taking in a deep breath as the cool breeze blew across his skin and through his beard, making him feel much better after his exhausting, long project. He felt something hit his leg, and he noticed a small rock was laying at his feet, the dwarf watching as another pelted him from the same direction, looking in that direction to see Saria laughing at her children, who continued to chuck stones at the dwarf, who merely laughed as he walked through a small flurry of small stones, the bearded Pokemon noticing that the largest child wasn't with his siblings, and instead laid against a tree sleeping.
Nappa felt something hit him in the leg as he woke up, making a small noise as he noticed a Murkrow laughing at him as it seemed to watch his family, the infant shaking as he grinded his body against the tree to stand, shouting at the bird, who cast him a dirty look as it jumped down from the tree branch it sat perched on, tilting it's head as it closed in, Nappa grabbing it by the beak and pushing it over, causing it to shriek, the noise catching the dwarf's attention as he headed over to the young Halfling, watching the bird stand up and slam it's beak into the infant's chest, knocking him over before turning and fleeing at top speed, the dwarf speeding up as he headed over to the child, who vanished instantly.
The Murkrow flew through the treetops, diving under a branch as it fled from the scene, it's cover broken. The small bird knew it had to make it back to it's master, the Honchkrow known as Capone, and report that the dwarf had just finished a behemoth project that might be an issue to them. However, the bird realized that it had to make it back before it was caught, using Tailwind to double it's speed as it dove under a tree branch, inhaling sharply as it barely missed crashing as it spiraled over the trees, seeing the large flock of Murkrow in the distance, diving down as it inhaled, realizing that it was almost safe.
Nappa was angry. The bird hit him and knocked him over, and he wanted to knock the bird over too. He had to catch the bird. He had to.
The Murkow smiled as it saw a light as the end of the path, ducking down low to avoid attracting attention. Suddenly, something blitzed by it, the bird trying it's best to screech to a halt as it saw the infant standing in front of it, angry crimson eyes glowing as it lifted it's stubby arms, the bird nearly crashing into the Halfling infant as the Halfling fell forward into it, crushing it under it's body. Nappa panted as he fell into a tree, hissing at the bird's body as Warriorf came upon the scene, wondering exactly what happened.
