I left on a cliffhanger and luckily I have not let you suffer by taking a while to update!
What did Kemeko sense? I'm sure a few of you already knew! But if you didn't, read below!
Chapter Nine
Leonardo felt Kemeko tense up and he held his breath wondering if Kemeko was starting to get scared again.
He kept his hands on Kemeko's shoulders as the little girl continued to sit still, as he did, his ear twitched as he heard something on the wind.
"Shit.." he thought as he sensed trouble and he turned to Kemeko.
"Kemeko?"
Kemeko sat up straight, slightly startled by Leonardo's voice and she pulled the blindfold off.
"Daddy." She said then saw Leonardo's face was pale and he was on high alert.
"You heard that sound?" she asked.
"You heard it too?" Leonardo asked in surprise as he placed his right hand on his katana and kept his left hand on Kemeko to protect her.
As he slowly rose to his feet, the noise got louder, and a cackle was heard.
"Show yourselves you scaley freaks!" Leonardo growled.
"Look whose talking!" a shrill hissing voice was heard from behind them and Leonardo and Kemeko turned to see Cobra appear from behind a chimney and Kemeko yelped in fear as the Golden spitting snake mutant sauntered over.
"Well, what do we have here?" Cobra mused flicking out her tongue and venom dripping from her lips "Leonardo and his little pet!"
"Stay back bitch!" Leonardo unsheathed his katana, "Come any closer and I'll cut your throat!"
Cobra laughed and peeled her lips back.
Kemeko was terrified as she clung to Leonardo.
"Daddy…" she whimpered.
"It's okay baby." Leonardo comforted, still keeping his eyes on Cobra who was still stepping towards them and starting to tease him by swaying, hissing and snarling.
"I'll protect you!" Leonardo whispered to Kemeko "I promise!"
'You promise huh?" another snarling voice was heard and Leonardo's heart sank.
Cobra cackled and looked behind Leonardo to see Gila Monster appear.
"Shit..." Leonardo muttered "Kemeko, stay close to me!"
"You think you can protect her from us?" Gila smirked as Leonardo turned to the side trying to keep both mutant reptiles in his vison.
Cobra laughed and hissed before making a jerking move to Leonardo making him jump and slash his katana.
"Made you jump!" Cobra teased nastily.
Gila Monster stepped closer and looked at Kemeko who held Leonardo tighter.
"Ah, the little princess!" he hissed "What a stroke of luck! Master Shredder will be pleased!"
"You keep your filthy paws off her!" Leonardo snarled through gritted teeth "I won't hesitate to cut off your arms and legs!"
"You wouldn't dare!" Cobra smirked "In case you haven't noticed! There's one of you and two of us!"
"And the others will arrive soon!" Gila added "There will be nowhere left to run!"
"Fuck!" Leonardo whispered.
"Daddy..." Kemeko said as she clung tighter to him.
"It's okay Lotus!" Leonardo said "It's going to be okay! I got you!"
Cobra hissed and peeled her lips back more, and Leonardo knew she would try and spit any second.
He wasn't too worried about getting hurt, but he knew he had to protect Kemeko, he knew he had to ward off the two Venomous mutants before their back up arrived, once the other three of the Venomous Five arrived or Foot Soldiers, he knew he was screwed.
He looked at his shell-cell and pressed the button to signal his brothers and adopted sister to his location.
Gila Monster then saw Leonardo had pressed the button on his shell-cell and turned to Cobra.
"Enough messing around!" he growled.
Cobra nodded then spat, sending a spray of venom at Leonardo who quickly ducked to avoid the spray and protect Kemeko.
Gila Monster then made a dive for Leonardo, but the turtle grabbed Kemeko and rolled forward to avoid the giant venomous lizard and stood up again.
Kemeko screamed in fear and shock then Leonardo drew his other katana.
"Kemeko! Run!" he ordered "I'll deal with these creatures!"
"But Daddy!" Kemeko protested.
"Do it now Kemeko!" Leonardo shouted, "Remember what I told you?"
Kemeko was scared and didn't want to abandon her father, but she knew she couldn't help him, being just a little girl.
Leonardo turned to Cobra and Gila Monster who got into fighting stances.
"Bring it, you ugly freaks!" Leonardo snarled.
"Let's dance!" Cobra hissed and she leapt into the air towards Leonardo and Gila Monster stepped over with his sharp claws up.
Back at the lair, Mona was sitting at the kitchen table with Pandora helping her with her spellings.
"Well done Little Geisha!" Mona praised "Now spell flowerpot!"
Pandora nodded and wrote down the word 'Flowerpot' getting every word in the right place.
"Perfect!" Mona smiled then checked paper she had in front of her then looked at Pandora's writing.
"Very Good Pandora, you only spelt three out of ten wrong, but that's better than before!"
"Thanks mum!" Pandora grinned "Can I play with Uncle Mikey now?"
"Just a few more spellings Little Geisha." Mona winked "Then you can play video games."
"Awww alright!" Pandora said a little disappointed that homework time was not yet over, but she agreed.
"Mona!" Raphael's worried voice resounded into the kitchen making both the lizard lady and her daughter jump out of their skins.
"Raph?" Mona stood up to see her lover run in, he was looking scared as well as furious "What's wrong?"
"I just picked up Leonardo's distress signal!" Raphael informed, "We got to go help!"
"Oh crap!" Mona cried going pale "And he's got Kemeko with him too!"
"Mum?" Pandora asked in fear.
"Stay here sweetie!" Mona said, "Granddad will help you with the rest of your homework."
"But Kemeko…" Pandora said in a worried voice.
"It's going to be alright Little Geisha!" Mona soothed, yet worry filled her being as she thought of what trouble Leonardo and Kemeko were in "We'll rescue Uncle Leo and Kemeko!"
"That we will!" Raphael growled, "But you stay here where it's safe, Pandora!"
Pandora jumped down from her seat as she saw her mother run out of the kitchen with Raphael to find Donatello and Michelangelo who were making sure they had their weapons, shell cells, and Donatello had his bag of medical tools just in case.
Master Splinter walked over to Pandora and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"We'll be back with Leo and Kemeko soon Master!" Donatello said as he gripped his bo staff.
"Be careful my children!" Splinter pleaded as he watched the three turtles and lizard run to the exit.
"Be good Pandora!" Mona shouted to her daughter "We'll be back soon!"
Pandora said nothing as she watched, and she looked at her grandfather.
"Will they save Kemeko and Leonardo?" she asked, worried for her Uncle Leo, and her beloved cousin, honoured sister, and playmate.
"They will sweetheart." Splinter soothed as he stroked Pandora's hair, yet he felt fear, as he always did when his children went topside to fight.
"Come on Little Geisha." He said, seeing how worried Pandora looked, "Don't worry about the rest of your homework for now, shall we watch some cartoons?"
"Okay grandpa, thank you grandpa." Pandora smiled weakly as Splinter lead her to the TV area.
He knew Pandora wouldn't be able to concentrate on her homework with her being so worried her family, so he decided to let it slip and let her watch cartoons to deter her from her fears.
So that hissing sound Kemeko heard was no other than the Venomous Five, well the sadistic Golden Cobra and Gila Monster.
Leonardo's doing all he can to protect Kemeko, and he's alerted the others to his position, yet Cobra and Gila have alerted their other members, who will get there first, and will Leonardo be able to protect Kemeko?
