Chapter Ten
Meanwhile back topside, Leonardo had his hands full and trying to keep Cobra and Gila Monster in his sight as well as away from Kemeko who was hiding behind a vent watching the whole battle.
"You'll tire out soon Leonardo!" Gila growled "And we'll take you and the girl back to headquarters!"
"You keep away from Kemeko!" Leonardo spat "I'll kill you both before you can lay a finger on her!"
"Come on then!" Gila Monster mocked as he swiped his claws at Leonardo, yet the turtle slashed his katana at them.
Cobra narrowed her eyes and she looked at the frightened Japanese girl behind Leonardo.
"I'll get you!" she thought "You can't run away up here!"
She hissed and ran at Leonardo who ducked and slashed his katana yet she leapt over his head and flipped before landing behind him and turning to Kemeko.
"Hello prey!" she smirked.
Kemeko screamed in fear.
"No!" Leonardo bellowed as he turned to Cobra, yet he got punched by Gila Monster and he fell to the ground.
"Uh, uh, uh!" Gila wagged his finger at the turtle who rolled onto his shell grabbing the katana he had dropped, and he jumped up again.
"Get away from her!" Leonardo shouted as he tried to get to Kemeko who was being forced into a corner of the roof by Cobra, yet Gila Monster kept blocking his way.
Kemeko looked up at Cobra who continued to smirk.
"Scared little girl?" she asked "You want your mama? Huh?" she then cackled.
"Oh wait, mama can't save you, because she's dead!" she laughed cruelly and stepped closer to Kemeko, her sharp claws outstretched.
Kemeko began to cry, both in fear and anger when Cobra mentioned her dead mother, yet this only seemed to please the sadistic golden snake mutant more.
"Little cry baby!" Cobra hissed "I would make you cry harder if I were allowed to drip my venom on you, but the master has told me you're a precious little treasure not to be harmed!"
Gila Monster leaned backwards as he avoided a swipe of Leonardo's swords and she rolled backwards hitting the metal vent which divided the area between him and Cobra.
"Will you shut your trap and grab the kid already Cobra!?" he barked "I can't keep papa bear off for long!"
Cobra hissed at Gila Monster.
"What's taking the others so darn long anyway?" she muttered then turned to Kemeko.
"Okay, I got you now, you little brat!" she leapt for Kemeko who quickly moved to the side causing Cobra to hit the vent.
"Fuck!" Cobra snarled then turned to Kemeko who tried to scramble away.
"Get back here!" she spat, spraying venom in the process.
Kemeko got to her feet and moved to the side of the building, she looked down and saw, that even with the fire escape below it was too far for her to jump and she knew Cobra would catch up with her.
Looking towards the snake who advanced on her, she then saw the entrance to the vent where the end had broken off.
Realising that when Gila Monster had hit it, he must have knocked the cover off and she needed to get somewhere Cobra couldn't follow!
Thinking quickly, she leapt into the vent entrance and slid inside.
Luckily because of how small she was she could fit easily, and she scrambled inside quickly, yet she squealed as she felt something sharp scratch her leg and realised it must have been one of Cobra's claws as she had tried to grab her.
"Dammit!" Cobra shouted as she reached into the vent trying to grab Kemeko, but she had moved further down the dark vent out of reach of the snake.
"You idiot!" Gila Monster scolded as he saw Cobra reaching into the vent "You let her get away!"
Leonardo grinned proudly.
"Well done Lotus!" he said under his breath as he blocked another one of Gila Monster's attacks.
"She's in the vent!" Cobra snarled "She won't get far!"
"She better not!" Gila Monster barked as he continued to try and slash at Leonardo.
Cobra hissed as she placed her hands on the vent feeling for Kemeko's movements.
"You can't hide in there forever brat!" she hissed as she banged the vent with her fist"I'll get you!"
Inside the vent, Kemeko moved quickly, it was dark and tight in the vent and the only source of light was at the end she had crawled into.
But the dark wasn't concerning her, but rather the fact her father was faced with two dangerous mutants and that Cobra was tracking her movements in the vent.
She didn't know where the vent ended up on the other side and she knew wherever she got out, Cobra would catch her.
She crawled further into the vent and finally she came to an area that was slightly bigger yet it was so dark she could barely see the light where she had come in.
Kemeko squeaked in fear and she huddled into the corner of the large area and looked up to where she could see dents in the metal where Cobra was banging on it.
"You can't hide in there forever brat!" Cobra snarled from above as she banged on the metal "I'll bring you to the Master! He's been dying to see you! And he wants to let you know something important!"
"Shut up you idiot!" a voice snarled and Cobra turned to see Komodo Dragon, Nile Monitor and Black Mamba appear.
"You want to give away the big secret?" Nile Monitor growled.
Cobra just hissed.
'About time you showed up!" Gila Monster shouted as he slashed at Leonardo who ducked backwards avoiding his claws.
"Shit!" Leonardo cursed, yet he gripped his katana and narrowed his eyes.
"Guys?" he thought fearfully "Where are you?"
"Shut up!" Komodo Dragon hissed at Gila Monster "Where's the brat? The Master said to bring her back alive!"
"In there!" Cobra pointed at the vent and banged on it again.
"You let her go in there?" Nile Monitor shouted at Cobra.
"Moron!" Komodo Dragon growled at Cobra "How do you suggest we get her out?"
"Block every entrance?" Cobra suggested "She won't get far! I can feel her movements!"
"Then keep searching for her!" Komodo Dragon growled "We shall deal with Leonardo here!"
Cobra hissed at Komodo Dragon as he went to fight Leonardo.
"Can you be trusted with that Spitter?" Black Mamba smirked to which Cobra sprayed venom at her which Black Mamba dodged and put out her forked tongue.
"Mamba!" Komodo Dragon barked at the snake "Help Cobra out!"
'What!?" Black Mamba cried to which Cobra smirked.
"You heard him!" she said.
Black Mamba glared at Cobra.
"Fine!" she hissed "But don't fucking screw up like you've done before!"
Cobra flicked out her tongue.
"Don't make me spit bitch!" she drawled.
"Shut up and get on with it!" Komodo Dragon snapped at the snakes.
Komodo Dragon then turned to Leonardo.
"Well, it looks like you're outnumbered Leonardo!" he smirked "Master Shredder's going to love picking you apart!"
Leonardo glared.
"You won't take me alive!" he spat.
"Oh no?" Nile Monitor snarled "Face it fearless! You're outnumbered by us Lizards and Karai's little Princess is surrounded by the snakes! She won't escape and she will find out her origins soon enough!"
"You bet Shredder is dying to get his hands on you! And make you suffer greatly!" Gila Monster cackled "He's going to make you feel so much pain after taking what was rightly his!"
"Fuck you!" Leonardo snapped as he slashed his swords at the lizards "He has no right to get his hands on Kemeko! She's mine!"
"Not for much longer!" Komodo Dragon growled "You're finished Leo!" and he held up his clawed hand to bring down on the blue masked turtle….
Oh dear! The rest of the V5 showed up! Leonardo's outnumbered and Kemeko is trapped in the vent!
