Muz-Lari was at a loss for words as Serana stood before her.
When she had received a letter from Iran asking, demanding, that she return to Fort Dawnguard, she wasn't sure what to expect.
She was glad that Ko'va and Ornel decided to accompany her while everyone else stayed in Riften to rest. This situation would have been a lot more awkward if everyone was here for it.
"You really came all this way to find me," Muz-Lari asked. "Despite knowing what the Dawnguard are?"
"I didn't know where else to find you," Serana replied. "All I know is my father is planning something big and he needs to be stopped. But I can't do it on my own."
The vampire looked down for a second, contemplating her next words.
She then raised her gold eyes and continued. "I have the feeling that you're someone I can trust. So, I came to ask for your help."
Unsure, Muz-Lari made a low note in her throat.
She looked to her right at Ornel for his opinion as he was always telling her to think more and be careful.
Ornel shrugged at her.
That was helpful.
Muz-Lari then turned to Ko'va at her left, a soft pleading expression in her eyes. Ko'va was always a better judge of character than her.
Ko'va flicked her ear in acknowledgement.
Ko'va walked up to Serana and asked, "Are you sure you want to trust us?"
Gold eyes looked into honey ones as the women considered each other.
"I do," Serana replied.
Ko'va turned back to Muz-Lari. "She's putting a lot of faith in us to come here. I'm willing to trust her."
Muz-Lari nodded and turned to Isran.
"If Ko'va trusts her, so do I."
"Me too," Ornel agreed.
Isran glowered at them.
"Fine, but if that thing hurts anyone here, then I'm holding you three responsible."
