Sophie woke up when the door to the dorm softly clicked closed, thankfully, Reid was still sleeping so it must have been Mel leaving. She gently untangled herself from Reid, took a shower, dressed and sat along side him. She brushed hair away from his forehead and gasped when his own hand caught her wrist.

"Morning." She whispered, smiling when he placed her hand over his heart.

"Morning." He greeted back, his voice gruff and heavy with that sexy just woke up sound all men seemed to possess.

"So would you like to tell me what last night was all about? Not that I minded but you seemed pretty upset, Reid."

He nodded, sitting up and taking her hand in his own, smoothing his thumb along the back of her hand in a soothing motion. When she touched her free hand to his cheek he realized he'd been staring at their joined hands and looked up into her worried eyes.

It took him a few more moments to gather his thoughts before he began speaking.

"Have you heard people call us the Sons of Ipswich?" He asked.

She nodded, knowing he only need a confirmation, not an in-depth conversation on his co-owned title.

"Everyone, the girls especially, think it's just some silly title because our families date back hundreds of years." He sighed, "But it's more than that.. we're.. we have powers."

Sophie seemed to pause momentarily to soak that in and then she spoke, "Powers? As in Harry Potter going to Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry?"

He frowned, more serious than when he was confessing moments before. "Harry Potter can kiss my ass, he's nothing but a little bitch compared to the things I can do on any given time and without the use of a stick!" He was pouting now.

"It's a wand, not a stick. He defeated Voldemort, he didn't do mundane chores such as putting his clothes away or unhooking his girlfriends bra." She countered, raising a brow in his direction.

Reid frowned, "I did not use to.. okay so I used it a little to help me with your bra so what? I was impatient!"

"You were greedy and didn't want to do things the old fashioned way." She smiled and continued before he could interject. "Are there any side effects when you use this Power?"

"When you ascend, which I have, the Power becomes your life. So every time I use it, I age. The body becomes weak, not the Power." He replied automatically, quoting Caleb.

She nodded, "So why do you keep using when you know it's bad for you?"

"Because.. I'm addicted." He replied simply, shrugging.

"There's nothing that can stop you?"

"Just being with you keeps me grounded."

She smiled, "Stop trying to charm your way out of this."

Reid sighed, "I'm not.. I mean.. I kind of am I just.." He shrugged, defeated. "I don't want you to worry about me. I'm fine."

"You're not fine, but I will let it go. For now." She placed a quick kiss on his lips and stood. "I've got an art class in about a half hour. If you want we can meet up for lunch. Your treat." She teased.

"I'll pick you up outside of the studio." He smiled, "Hey.." He caught her wrist and pulled her back down only this time across his lap. She laughed but before she could ask what he was doing he silenced her with a searing kiss that literally took her breath away.

When they pulled apart she was surprised to find herself now laying beneath him, her arms around his neck. He smiled down at her, "You're easily distracted, did you know that?" She smiled back. "You're distracting, but I'm sure you already knew that." She looked back over at the clock on her nightstand. She had plenty of time before class and with that thought she pulled him down for another kiss.
