Summary:
Have you ever heard of Black Magic? What do you know about them? Natsuki is a rising star in the Fuka Police Headquarter who solves her case based on logic & facts. However, her world is turned upside down when she meets Shizuru. Shizuru lives in a world that can never be defined by logic and facts. What happens when the two meet? ShizNat Rated T for now
Natsuki had a bento box in hand as she pushed open the door to the Fuuka Art Theatre.
Natsuki began bringing food to Shizuru ever since that night when Natsuki felt how light Shizuru was. It had become a habit for Natsuki to feed Shizuru daily. She can be a workaholic sometimes, missing lunch and dinner, especially when the school's open house was around the corner.
"Mashashi-kun, according to the script, you are supposed to smile at the main actress, as if you are in love with her. Not a crying face. That smile on your face will scare the audience away. Do spend some time practicing smiling at the mirror."
Shizuru sighed as she rubbed her temple. She wondered if the Student Councillor's performance would be ready in time for the university Open House.
"Have some dinner first?" And a bento wrapped in a navy blue cloth appeared in front of her.
Shizuru straightened and turned to see Natsuki standing behind her dangling the bento at her.
Everyone heaved a sigh of relief. Saved finally by Kuga-san. Everyone was pretty much familiar with the blue hair beauty by now. Since she would appear every day to deliver meals to their Kaicho-sama.
They would have kissed Natsuki's foot in appreciation if they could do that. At least Kuga-san managed to alert their Kaisho-sama that it was dinner time. If the rehearsal continued any longer, they might just faint in hunger.
"Ara is Natsuki here with her home cooked food?"
Natsuki rolled her eyes. "Like I told you umpteen times before, I don't know how to cook."
Natsuki's reply had Shizuru chuckling.
"Well, I don't know how to cook but I definitely know how to order a healthy bento." Natsuki continued as she placed the bento on Shizuru's lap. "Eat it while it hot."
"Natsuki is so thoughtful ne." Shizuru teased.
"I...I am just doing my job! I just want you to be healthy enough to help me with the case! Not...not because I am concern." Natsuki protested! Her face and neck red with embarrassment "In fact, I am not concerned at all! So don't misunderstand my action."
"Hai...hai...hai…If that is what you say."
"You don't believe me?"
"No...no...I believe you." Shizuru swallowed a chuckle and turned to open the bento but not before dismissing the students on stage, giving them an hour break for their dinner.
Natsuki stayed throughout the rehearsal, choosing to stay with Shizuru till the end.
It was close to 10pm before the rehearsal came to an end and Shizuru dismissed the whole team and prepared to leave with Natsuki.
Takeda leaped down the stage and attempted to move towards Natsuki. But he was stopped in mid-stride when Yukino placed her hand on his elbow and stopped him.
Natsuki was busy stuffing Shizuru's books into her backpack and missed the attempt made by Mashashi Takeda to approach her.
The split second interference by Yukino had seen Natsuki finished packing her bag and leaving the Theatre with Shizuru.
"What is the meaning of this Kikukawa-san?"
"Nothing much. Just an advice from your fellow council member. Kuga-san is never part of us. It would be better for her if you stay away from her."
"She may not be part of us but she would be safer with me than Viola. We all know what Viola is capable of."
Takeda's reply had Yuniko furrowing her brows.
"I have given you my advice. Don't say I never warn you." Yukino turned and left the theatre, leaving Takeda alone.
It was late and Natsuki chose to take a deserted yet shorter path back to the hostel.
This path winded through a football size park and cuts directly to the female hostels. The path was dimly lighted with path lamps by the side to guide night traveller. Instead of making the whole atmosphere romantic, dark shadows of trees and bushes fell over the pathway, creating a rather eerie atmosphere instead. There was silence except for sounds of insects echoing through the silent garden.
No wonder students avoid this place. If I were them, I would have avoided here too.
In the one week Natsuki was in Fuuka University, she had heard numerous rumours about this park. Fuuka students tend to avoid taking this path especially at night even though it may be a shorter path. Many claimed to have seen apparitions or ghosts as they went through the garden. And the rumours were further confirmed when two of the students were killed here.
Natsuki was taking in the quiet surrounding when she caught sight of the heavy files that Shizuru was holding.
"Here pass me your files. I can help you carry them." Natsuki said as she reached over to pull the files from Shizuru's arms.
"Natsuki is so nice to me ne."
"I have told you many times! I am NOT trying to be nice."
"Ara, then why is Natsuki bring me food every day? And today you are helping me to carry my books." Shizuru stopped where she was and faced Natsuki. "Ne...or are you wooing me? Nat-su-ki-chan!"
"Wha...what...what wooing? What in the world are you thinking in that head of yours. I...I am not!"
"Ara...stuttering? Having a guilty conscious?" A teasing smile on her face, her eyes twinkling.
"Stop...stop teasing...teasing me!"
"No true? Hmmm…?" Shizuru inched closer towards Natsuki. And subconsciously, Natsuki took a step backward. But Shizuru continued to advance towards her, forcing Natsuki to back into a tree until she was caught between the tree and Shizuru.
"Ara… Could it be… That you pick this path so you can be alone with me?" A seductive smile on Shizuru's face as she leaned forward, her leg slightly bend. Her leg looked pale and long beneath the moonlight.
And it had captured Natsuki's attention. Natsuki swallow the saliva pooling in her mouth. She's not like those hentai guys. She's NOT! Natsuki sweared.
"Ara… Where is Natsuki looking at ne?" Shizuru arched her brow.
A startled Natsuki looked up, obviously feeling guilty having caught by staring at Shizuru's alabaster leg. "No...nothing..."
The seductive smile became more obvious as Shizuru inched closer towards Natsuki. Closer and closer towards Natsuki's lips.
But at the last moment, just before Shizuru's lips touched Natsuki's, she gave Shizuru a push, pushing Shizuru away.
Shizuru was already leaning towards Natsuki and the push had unsettled her center of gravity, causing Shizuru to topple.
"Shizuru!" Natsuki reached out to grab Shizuru but the momentum had both of them falling, with Shizuru directly landing on a bunch of rose bushes next to the tree and Natsuki on top of her.
Shizuru grunted. The thorns pierced through her thin layer of clothes. They had landed flat on one of the rose bushes and were completely hidden by the surrounding bushes.
"Oh my god, Shizuru are you ok?" Natsuki tried to push herself up, away from Shizuru.
But the movement had the the thorns pushing deeper.
"...Wait...no don't move yet. I..." Shizuru pause and took in a deep breath. "I thinking I might have sprained my wrist. And..and there are thorns on this plant."
The reply had Natsuki pausing in mid action and raising her head to look at Shizuru in concern.
Green eyes met red.
Just then, Shizuru stretched out her uninjured hand around Natsuki's neck and pulled Natsuki towards her.
Natsuki's eyes widened. What…
Shizuru's lips were firmly planted on hers.
Natsuki struggled, pushing against Shizuru.
But Shizuru held firm, pulling Natsuki even closer towards her, ignoring the sharp thorns pushing into her flesh.
Using her tongue, Shizuru pried open Natsuki's lips and thrusted her tongue in, swiping in every inch of Natsuki's mouth.
A...a Fr….French kiss?
Natsuki was completely stunned motionless by this sudden invasion, passively accepting Shizuru's kiss.
In the process, Shizuru tilted her head to left, her eyes a deadly crimson red as she looked over Natsuki's shoulder.
Barely breaking a sweat, Shizuru raised her injured hand and wrote a series of ancient words in the air, forming a kekkai (barrier magic) concealing all traces of the two of them, both visual and smell.
With a last taste, Shizuru ended her kiss.
Natsuki thought she was going to die from the lack of air. Natsuki thought as she laid her head on Shizuru's should, panting.
She felt Shizuru tighten her hand around her neck and stiffened.
Was Shizuru going to kiss her again?
But then Shizuru whispered into her ear.
For a moment, Natsuki felt strangely disappointed.
"Listen carefully. Do not make any noise not matter what you see later on. Do not scream or run. I won't be able to protect you then." Natsuki stiffened upon hearing the instruction. "Turn slowly to your right, 10 O'clock."
Natsuki turned and nearly let out a scream. But Shizuru's hand tightened around Natsuki's neck, reminding her not to scream.
Natsuki took in a shaky breathe.
What the fuck is that!?
In a distance from where they were, Natsuki saw a bodiless head hovering about 1.5 metre above the ground. The head was clutching a cat in its mouth, sucking in the blood and swallowing in.
The sound of sucking was loud and clear in the silent night.
Attached to the head was the digestive system, dangling below.
As the head took in the blood from the dead cat, the blood flowed through the esophagus into the stomach. But most of the blood dripped through the throat, spilling onto the floor.
As if sensing something foreign, the head dropped the dead cat and sniffled. Like an animal tracing for scent. The dead cat dropped to the ground with a splatter with blood oozing through the wound. The head seemed to have caught the scent it was looking for and hovered towards the rose bushes.
Natsuki could feel Shizuru stiffened beneath her as if preparing to spring into action should anything happened.
But just 3 feet away from the bushes, the head paused. As if something was stopping the head.
The head let out an unwilling growled and hovered back to where the dead cat was and carried it away, hovering off into the distance.
A stunned and pale face Natsuki stared into the distance, completely motionless.
Shizuru sighed and using her uninjured hand, pulled out her mobile phone to call for help.
She won't expect Natsuki to be able to function for the moment and pulled them out of this 'thorny situation'.
Who would after witnessing that? Shizuru thought.
Five minutes later, a petite young lady appeared.
"Mikoto, can you help to get us out of these bushes?"
"Hai Shizuru-sama." Mikoto replied and reached out to grab hold of Natsuki first. But not before noticing the swollen lips and the red lipsticks smeared on Natsuki's lips.
Definitely not the colour for this blue hair lady. Mikoto thought. No matter how you see it, the mark on the blue hair lady's mouth seemed to belong to Shizuru-sama.
Once back to the hostel, Shizuru offered Natsuki a cup of warm cocoa.
Natsuki said there slowly sipping the cocoa, trying to warm herself up.
She was in shock. Years of working as a cop had not prepared her for this. It was one thing to see a dismembered head and another to see a live bodiless head floating around sucking up blood. Natsuki thought as shivers ran up her spin. The image was hard to remove from her head.
While Natsuki sat there wondering to herself, Shizuru had Mikoto applied some antiseptic on her back, taking in a sharp breath as the antiseptic came into contact with the small puncture wounds on her back.
It had the effect of bring Natsuki out of her shock.
"Here, let me do it instead. She is hurting." Natsuki took the bottle of antiseptic from Mikoto and applied gently on Shizuru's pale back. But not before using a cold cloth to ease the swollen small wounds on her back. "I hope the thorns are not poisonous." Natsuki mumbled to herself as she slowly cleansed the wound.
Mikoto now leaning against the wall replied to Natsuki mumbling. "Shizuru-sama has been treated with herb since young. This type of poisonous thorns would be harmless to Shizuru-sama. She is immune to most poisons.
"Good to hear but I am sure it must still hurt, the wound I mean." Natsuki gently checked the wound.
"It would recover soon." Shizuru gave Natsuki a reassuring pat.
"What happened earlier on?" Mikoto asked. "I smell traces of black magic in the air."
"Nothing much actually. Just some joker fooling around with black magic." Shizuru replied as she briefly recounted the incident, of course, skipping the part of her kissing Natsuki.
"What is that actually?" Natsuki asked.
There was a long paused before Shizuru finally spoke up.
"The hovering head you saw just now is the tool used for black magic. Or rather the incomplete tool. A complete tool of the black magic would be without its organs attached to the head allowing the head to move around freely."
"If it is an unfinished tool, then why is it...you know...out there… Erm…moving around."
"Hunting for food."
"Food?"
"Hai...To successfully create the hovering head, the caster must first place a spell on himself/herself and this must be repeated seven days a week for seven weeks, a total of forty-nine days in order to succeed. Each night when the caster cast the spell, his head will be physically detached from the body and in the process experience excruciating pain of having the head torn off the body. And with each higher level the caster attained, the pain becomes greater. And throughout these forty-nine days, the head has to wander around each night hunting for food. The food ranges from blood, to even faces, both human and animals. Which is why in the past in Asia, when sanitation was less well developed and people discard their faces in the open space, they would always buried it or at least cover it with sticks and leaves. This is to prevent the hovering head from feeding on their faces. But normally when the hovering head feeds on the bloods of the living, it will also feed on the brain the living, killing them immediately. So what you saw just now is probably the head hunting for food."
"So that means had the head spotted us just now, it could attack us taking us as food? Or it could have been anyone else taking that path?"
"Hai." Shizuru nodded, confirming Natsuki's question.
"Then could you help stop this…" Natsuki struggled to find the right word. "This black magic? Since you said that the head is an incomplete tool. Could we like stop this caster from successfully creating the tool? We are lucky to have escaped from it tonight. But what if it was someone else? Someone else beside me and you who decides to take the same path as us? He or she could end up dead."
There was a long paused.
"Kanina Natsuki." Shizuru replied and looked away. "I can't do that. It is forbidden to have one intervening with another in the pursued of black magic. And I have already revealed too much information about black magic to you. We are bound by oath not to reveal such information about black magic to the normal citizens. And you don't have to worry. People who practice such black magic accumulate bad karma. Fate will punish them at one point or the other."
"But..."
Shizuru stood up and continued on, stopping Natsuki before she could continue. "I think it is quite late now. We should all sleep now."
Shizuru turned and entered the toilet preparing to sleep, ignoring the look of disappointment in Natsuki's eyes.
"Shizuru-sama, i will make move first." Mikoto bided farewell, leaving Shizuru and Natsuki alone in the room.
The lights were dimmed as the two of them prepared for sleep.
Natsuki huddled towards a corner, pulling the blanket tight around her.
She should sleep now but her mind refused to rest. The gruesome images appeared as she recalled the incident once again. The dark and quiet night wasn't helping.
Natsuki tightened her eyelids, trying to push away the images.
But just as sudden, the image of Shizuru pressing her lips against hers flashed across her mind replacing the gruesome images. And then a suspicious red hue appeared on her cheeks.
Natsuki subconsciously rubbed her fingers against her lips. Her lips tingling as she recalled her feel of Shizuru's lips on hers.
It felt so soft.
Wow wow wow...No no no...What in the world was she doing, thinking about Shizuru's lips.
Stop right there Kuga…
While deep in thoughts, Natsuki felt a movement from the side of her bed.
In shock, Natsuk pushed herself back quickly, putting distance between her and the source of movement.
"It's me. Natsuki."
"Shizuru?"
"Hai it's me. Let's share the bed the night." Shizuru said as she climbed up the double decker bed and lay beside Natsuki, preparing to spend the night in the same bed.
Natsuki was torn.
Natsuki had to admit but she did feel safer with Shizuru sleeping next to her. The warmth from Shizuru gave her some comfort in the silent night, keeping the horrible images at bay.
But at the same time, her heartbeat was beating faster. While the horrible images may be kept away but other more embarrassing images occupied her mind.
Shizuru's lips against her.
Shizuru's slipping her tongue in, invading every inch of her mouth.
Shizuru's breathe on her face.
Natsuki could feel her face reddening. Thank god it's dark now.
"Gomen ne...Natsuki."
Natsuki stiffened. Shizuru's sudden apology caught Natsuki unprepared.
Sorry for kissing me?
Sorry for not being able to tell me more about black magic?
Sorry for not being able to stop the practice of black magic?
Which is it?
There was a long silence. So long that Shizuru thought that Natsuki was asleep.
"It's… Ok Shizuru… Don't worry about it."
It was a sleepless night as both lied awake in the dark, staring into darkness.
Natsuki woke up to an empty bed and an empty room.
Shizuru must have left for school.
That is quite early. Natsuki thought as wandered around the room. Well, at least I won't feel embarrassed facing her first thing in the morning.
That was when she saw a few books on the dining table. She sat down and began flipping through them.
Her mind was still preoccupied with the information read from the books. So much so that she wasn't paying attention to what the lecturer was going through in the lecture theatre.
Mai sat next to Natsuki and noticed her preoccupation and leaned over bumping Natsuki with her elbow.
"Hey… Natsuki… Hey…" Mai continued. "Wanna go out later on? Have a drink or something? There is this group of people that I hang out quite often. We can hang out together and may be you know, know more from these people… I have kinda hit a dead-end on my side."
Natsuki's brows furrowed as she weighed the options. She had not forgotten why she was here. She had hit a dead-end on her side too. Her investigation turned up nothing. And more interaction with people from this school may yield more information. But Natsuki had planned to visit the library after that, continuing her reading and research found on the dining table.
"And not to mention…" Mai smirked. "There is this guy who seems really interested in you. He has been asking me about you. So do you… you know… meet him?"
"Seriously Mai..." Natsuki couldn't help but rolled her eyes. "Stop trying to match me up with some random guy."
"It is not some random guy and I have your interest at heart. His family is one of the more influential families in the country and…"
"And… I have something I want to find out on my side. May be you can go ahead and we can meet again later to discuss the information." Natsuki conveniently chose to stay in the library instead of going along with Mai's matchmaking.
"But... "
"If you are not interested in studying you can just leave." A guy seated in front of Natsuki turned and spoke to the two of them.
Wataru Ishigami.
Natsuki remembered him. He was one of the top performing students every semester since he was year one in Fuuka University.
"This is a lecture theatre meant for learning. Not for chit chatting." And with the comment, the guy turned back to face the front.
"Hey...wait... "
"Leave it be Mai."
The lesson ended and Mai rushed out of the lecture theatre to meet her group of friends while Natsuki slowly packed her books.
"Kuga-san." Natsuki looked up to see Wataru-san walking towards her, an unpleasant smirk on his face. He stopped just a few steps away from Natsuki and leaned forward slightly to whisper something to Natsuki.
"Girls need to be more careful at night. Especially travelling through our school park. Not everyone can be that lucky Kuga-san."
Natsuki stared at Wataru Ishigami, her eyes widening in shock, her face paled immediately. And Wataru Ishigami chuckled and walked away not before giving Natsuki a wave.
Was he the one?
Natsuki could not clearly remember the face of that hovering head. The face was hidden by a mob of untidy hair and smeared with blood and dirt.
Natsuki tightened her grip on her bag and took a shaky breath. She needed to find Shizuru immediately and tell her what happened just now.
She took out her mobile phone and sent Shizuru a text message, briefly telling her about her exchange with Wataru Ishigami.
I am not going to sit here waiting for things to happen. I need to find out more information.
Natsuki thought as she grabbed her bag and move towards the library. Not before sending Shizuru another text message informing Shizuru about her next location.
Natsuki sat there flipping through the additional books she borrowed, jolting down relevant information into her notebook.
In the ancient time in Asia, a minority ethnic group had gained the favour of God and was taught the art of magic. However, as time passed by, there was a divide within the ethnic group. One group chose the path of light while others chose the path of no return and hence the formation of white magic and black magic.
The ethnic group grew larger and clans were formed. There were clans that practice white magic solely to benefit the humanity while other clans practice black magic for the sole purpose of benefiting from it.
One of the more notable clan that rose to be one of the more powerful clan was the Fujino Clan. The Fujino Clan took neither side, practicing both white and black magic, shaping the history of the world, involving in all walks of life. Alone they could help bring a nation to power creating a dynasty and they could also bring about the end of the dynasty. They never took center stage but would quietly influence the world power behind the scene.
The Fujino Clan was large but scattered across the world. They never went by the Fujino name. Names were sacred and never meant to be revealed for fear that it could be used by their enemies.
Fujino Clan was well known for their prowess in black magic. Few dared to intervene in the work of Fujino Clan. They had their roots in Asia.
In Asia, black magic is known as 降 头 (jiang tou).
降 (jiang) meaning descent which describe a sudden raid or hostile attack.
头 (tou) meaning an object or item or a person.
There are three different schools of black magic - using the caster himself as a tool to practice black magic, or using dead spirits as the tool and lastly, using creatures such as insects, worms, snakes, rats or centipede.
People turned to black magic for various reasons. Mostly people turned to black magic to seek revenge, power, money and even women.
Natsuki paused as she reread what she had written in her notebook. Then she took her red pen and circled the word Fujino.
Is Shizuru from the Fujino Clan then?
Just as she was contemplating the question, someone snatched her notebook out from her hand.
"Ara ne… What does Natsuki have here?" Shizuru flipped through the notebook while tapping a finger against her chin. "Hmmm… Not bad. That is quite comprehensive."
"You deliberately leave the books on the dining table for me. Why?"
Shizuru looked up from the notebook and smiled. "Ara Natsuki is so clever ne. I am prohibited from telling you more information. But that doesn't mean you can't read up on your own on black magic. I didn't reveal any information to you. I just happen to leave some books around and you happen to read them."
"Right." Natsuki could not help but rolled her eyes at Shizuru's explanation
Suddenly Shizuru snapped the book close. Completely serious now, the smile faded slowly from Shizuru's face.
"Do you know what you are getting yourself into Natsuki?" Shizuru looked searchingly into Natsuki's eyes. "There will be no return if you choose to intervene. Wataru Ishigami has given you a warning. Heed it. Do not intervene. Black magic is not something which you should meddle in."
"I know. But if we don't stop it, people could get hurt or even killed."
"Many people are hurt and killed every day."
"But I would know that if I don't do anything, more people would get hurt or killed. I am a cop and my duty is to protect."
Shizuru sighed.
"Alright, I will help you with it. But you have been warned." Shizuru's eyes smothered a deep ember as she spoke. "The future will not be easy if you choose to venture into the world of black magic."
"Yes. I am completely aware of it." Natsuki was all serious as she replied Shizuru. "Can you tell me more about this black magic?"
"You have done a very good summary here." Shizuru flipped through the pages before stopping at the page where Natsuki was earlier on. "The hovering head you saw yesterday night belongs to this first school of black magic - using the caster himself to cast the spell. A hovering head completely free of the organs is the final objective of the caster. Every night, the caster will place a spell on himself and this must be repeated for forty-nine days in order to succeed. Each time the caster cast the spell, his head will be physically detached from the body and in the process experience excruciating pain. When the head is detached from the body, it will go out hunting for food. Even though the process of having the head detached from the body can be painful but the rewards are greater. Money, women and power are within his reached. With the hovering head, it could reach places, calling on the souls of the living or commanding people to obey his command. Furthermore such black magic is harder to detect. But practicing such black magic is not without its danger. If it fails to do that, all will be lost including his including his skills as a black magician."
"But the head we saw yesterday still has the organs attached."
"Yes. The one you saw yesterday with some of its organs still attached to the head is most likely three quarter to completion. In about a week time, it will shed all the organs and be able to fully move around with worrying that its organ will be caught by branches or protruding objects. Once it is caught and unable to free itself before the sunrise, it will melt into a pool of blood upon contact with the sun. And if you notice why people in the earlier days build their houses with sharp edges or hooks protruding from the top of their roof or alongside the ways. The purpose was to deter the head from coming close to their house. The sharp edges and hooks make it more likely for the head to be caught. I am actually quite amazed that Wataru Ishigami is practicing this form of black magic here in the university. With the high population density here, there is a high chance of him being discovered. And what more, to succeed, the head is required to consume huge amount of blood or even faces every night for forty-nine days. Failure to consume certain amount of 'food' every night would result in the complete failure of the black magic. Given our current level of sanitation, it is impossible to obtain faces through normal mean. And blood wise..."
Shizuru paused as her eyes shot to meet Natsuki's.
An idea flashed across Natsuki's mind.
"Yes blood wise, Wataru Ishigami has to taking from either a living source or from the hospital." Natsuki frowned as she tried to straighten out her thinking process. "If he has to take from a living source, it is most likely that he has to take it from students from Fuuka University. And our police record so far shows that the victims found have bite mark on parts of their bodies. So the blood could have been drawn out from the bite marks."
"There is one way to ascertain whether Wataru Ishigami is the one. To practice this specific form of black magician, the black magician would have to place a spell on himself for forty-nine days and this spell would cause a thin black line to appear in his right eye, cutting from the top to the bottom."
"So I will have to check his right eye?"
"Hai..."
Omaka
"Author-san! I need a word with you!"
"Sure, Natsuki!" Author-san replied as she trotted behind Natsuki to a corner.
Suspiciously looking left and right and left again, Natski put her hand over Author-san's shoulder and bended towards Autor-san, whispering into her ear. "What in the world are you doing? What are you turning me into? Some uke ("passive" partner in a same sex relationship; normally takes the "bottom" role during sex) that trembles and shakes in the face of beautiful Shizuru? Oh please, just stop all this crap!" Natsuki hissed. "Let me tell you this, I am the seme (dominant partner in a same sex relationship; normally takes the "top" role during sex ) in this relationship! Got it? Seme! Shizuru is the uke here. Make sure you remember it yar! I don't want to repeat it again. I am the seme! And Shizuru ..."
"Ara...did Natsuki said she is a seme?"
Natsuki stiffen, slowly turning her head to see Shizuru standing behind her.
"Shi….Shi...Shi...Shizu...ru...Ah..ahahahah...yiyahahahah...I didn't know Shizuru is here to see Author-san too. Ahahaah...I wonder why Author-san didn't tell me." Natsuki patted Author-san on her back. Hard! Punishing Author-san for not telling her that Shizuru was here.
A smile plastered on Natsuki's face. "Nothing. Author-san said she wanted to be a seme. Ahahaha...Do excuse me for a while as I visit the restroom."
And Natsuki left for the toilet, but not before throwing deadly glare at Author-san.
Author-san swallowed and pushed her thick pair of glasses.
"I assume Author-san knows what to do right?" A glint appeared in Shizuru's eyes.
"Ahaha...Hai hai hai..." Author-san laughed. "Of course of course! Don't worry, I will make sure that Natsuki is the urk."
"And it is NATSUKI-SAN."
