Jax looked at the mountains. Irelia was not alright, seemed as if something infected her. Ultimately high temperature, wide pupils and sweating. He was trying to nurse her back to health, but he was not good in healing, like Soraka used to be. His options drastically fell, because he knew that no help would come from Demacia, because there was no more Demacia, while if he tried to find the Refugee camp he would have to carry her and the supplies he had been able to scavenge from a dead traveler, after killing those who killed him though.
He took Irelia on his back and started walking south, where he knew the camp should be. He had started climbing the mountains, attempting to avoid the pass, because the Noxian troops around it were a bad sign. He thought they had spotted him, so being in a hurry was the least people could say about him. The bushes rustle around him as he passed through them.
"You know, it is boring with you!" Someone said. Jax leaped, grabbing his axe and spinning at three hundred and sixty degrees, but he was surprised to be unable in discovering anything.
"Wow wow... Watch it! Stop spinning like a mad man! I don't want to go and puke on your head!" The voice was deep, and came from behind Jax. More likely from his bag. He placed Irelia on the grass and discarded his satchel. Opening it, he sighed. It was, guess who, Zac. The green blob had somehow appeared in his backpack.
"What are you doing here, Zac?" Asked Jax. He did not dislike Zac, no, more like the opposite. The big slime was a friendly person, who was funny sometimes.
"Hey, whats with the hurry maaan. Take it slooooow! Like me. You see, I am here from the moment you KABLEWWW me, and voala, I am in the bag talking with you!" It was more like his head, but Jax knew Zac could be any part of his body and still talk. Probably become a thing smaller than a yordle and walk along with him.
"Explain it!" He demanded, and sighed again when Zac started laughing and shaking the whole bag.
"HOHO, don't you see MAAAAAN? Don't you remember that I have cells? And each of my cells lives a separate live! So, I am clearly immortal! Know what? I bet that if you slurp some of me, you will become MOI! Buhahahaha! Wait, where are we? Maan it looks nice!" So Zac had used his so called passive ability to get in Jax' bag? A nice way to spy, but as far as he knew, Zac couldn't speak with other cells of himself except his head.
"What is the reason you didn't leave..." Whispered Jax, looking at Zac from above. The light around them started fading, but after a moment it went back to normal. The armmaster looked around, narrowing his eyes. Zac was about to say something, but a quick 'shh' from Jax silenced the jelly man. He listened for a while, and swiftly closed the bag, placed it on his back, took Irelia and started sprinting up.
"You hear that?" Someone shouted and footsteps started destroying the silence which had embraced the woods a moment ago.
Jax ran, his feeet moving as fast as he could. Zac made sounds (which were pretty much as if hitting a person's back while he was yelling the letter A continuously, like this: 'AAAAAAAA' etc.), while Irelia started waking up. Her head was dizzy without the bouncing which was caused by Jax' movements.
From the bushes appeared three men, who were really easily recognized by Zac, as he had plugged one of his eyes through the holes in the bag. They were Sion, Urgot and Warwick.
"Oooh damn, you are in DEEEP!" Zac told his carrier, while returning his eye to his head. The blood hunter prepared for a long chace, and placed his hands on the ground, using them like feet his third and fourth legs. His speed drastically increased, and he slowly started catching up to Jax. So focused he was, he didn't notice when the armmaster moved right swiftly and avoided a tree. Warwick... Well, he attempted to head butt it, but failed.
The chasers lost their target for awhile, and this allowed Jax to drop Irelia and Zac on the grass, muttering a silent 'protect her', then leaped out of the tall plants. Using his momentum, he kicked Sion's face and ran as fast as he could in the opposite direction. This was, sadly, his mistake. Urgot used his position retriever, which made Jax stand still, forcing him into an area where he was going to be attacked by all three them.
He lifted his axe, showing it to the trio. How exactly was Sion still alive, he asked himself. They looked at it, and Sion cackled.
"What is this, a stick with some metal? Hohoho..." He asked and started kneeling in his laugh, only not to fall. Urgot started cackling, while Warwick stared at the battered axe.
The Blood Hunter lunged towards Jax, who dodged the blow and was able to land a hit on the wolf man's left hand. Sion was already charging towards him, his eyes flickering with their cryptic force. Jax knew that they could paralize him, so he focused on blocking strikes, without looking at Sion's head. Urgot shot one bolt, which hit Jax' back, sending him forward, closer to the undead axe weaver.
The giant axe of the zombie slammed downwards on Jax' smaller one, which creaked painfully. What a waste, when he went to Ionia it was in a good condition. The armmaster leaped towards Warwick, slamming the axe against his cheek, pushing the beast off the battle. Just when he was about to attack Urgot, someone stuttered out of the bushes.
"Jax, what's going on?" Asked Irelia, looking sleepy and hardly holding on her feet.
"She wouldn't listen to me!" Cried Zac from behind her, who had hopped onto her back. Jax cursed and leaped towards Irelia, throwing her over his shoulder, meanwhile Zac grabbed the grandmaster's cape and started crawling towards his ear. Sion and Urgot ran after them.
He was slower than before, and now the duo behind him was able to get close to Jax, enough for Urgot to shoot his projectiles, without stopping his rush. The clearing expanded, creating a tunnel for Jax. He ran a few more minutes, then leaped into a group of trees.
Jax barely stopped himself from falling off the edge which appeared in front of him. Turning, he saw the duo, running towards him. Looking at the cliff, he cursed under his breath.
"What are ya gonna do, partner?" Asked Zac, who had gotten to Jax' shoulder. The grandmaster was quick, and switched Irelia's position from his back to his stomach. Zac was about to say something, but the Armmaster jumped.
"Damnit!" Screamed Sion when he saw the Grandmaster jumping off the edge. Urgot looked questioningly. "You know that there's a bounty!" Said the undead and snorted. Urgot nodded and walked back, allowing passage to his companion.
"You know, I really wanted dat guy... But, whatever, we get funds from the warfare!" Sion commented and spat on the grass. Urgot kept walking, staying behind a little, because the zombie loved to skip.
"Arhhh... So much bloodshed... This is my kind of PLACE!" Someone whispered and a black figure leaped from the brushes. Urgot couldn't even make a sound when two long blades cut his body in half.
"Urgot? Wat was dat?" Asked Sion, who was just turning around to see what was that whisper. Next to Urgot's corpse stood a tall creature, covered in metal. It's weapons were bloodied, while it's eyes sparkled with golden light.
"YOUR HEADS WILL ADORN MY WALL!"
