"So, let me help you get over him."

Breathe, exhale. Breathe, exhale.

Jacob leaned into me with his arms on either side of me and his hands against the mattress. His body compelling me to fall onto the mattress underneath him, towering me.

I wanted him… I was ready…

Breathe, exhale. Breathe, exhale…

Chapter 48: Sequim (LEMONS ALERT! 18+)

A rush of air escaped my throat at his words. My racing pulse did not go unnoticed. It surged, wanting me to acknowledge the increased heart rate that continued to pound in my chest, drumming in my ears. My body continued to lay frozen under his, overwhelmed at the significance of this moment.

Jacob leaned into my face, his nose trailing down my cheek as he breathed in my scent heavily, groaning at me. His nose trailed over my jawline, lightly passing over my earlobe causing a chill to linger over my skin. His hot breath pooled around over the ridges of my ear with his lips grazing the lobe.

"I love you, Bella…" he whispered, sensually to me. It caused another erupted moan to escape my throat. I couldn't escape the sensation I was feeling. The electricity that flowed over my body, tingling me with anticipation.

"I—" I gulped, trying to catch my breath. I leaned my head back to expose my neck. Closing my eyes to enjoy the feeling of the moment. The feeling of the increased sexual excitement that I had longed to have with him. "I love you, Jacob…"

Jacob's breathing started to become more broken. His chest quaked as he couldn't get enough air into his lungs. This pleasurable experience was new for the both of us. I slightly parted my eyelids to selfishly steal a glimpse of his face, but his eyes were already adoringly on me. A small smile was formed at the corners of his mouth as his lips parted. I felt embarrassed that he had caught me taking a glimpse at him, but he had done the same. We both continued to gaze into each other's eyes with panicked breaths, until he leaned in towards my exposed neck. His lips lingering underneath the lobe of my ear, placing small soft kisses downwards, reaching towards my collar bone.

I managed to free my arm from underneath him, placing it at the small of his neck, and running my finger softly along it. His lips escaped my chest, and I could feel his elevation change as the mattress caved, inching his face closer to mine.

His tongue grazed the bottom of his lips before he had touched them to my own. I adored the warmth texture of them as he parted his mouth. I felt his tongue probing in between my lips which disjoined easily to give him access to explore the inside of my mouth, coating the surface with his sultry flavor until I was drowning in his essence.

I moved my fingers towards his hair, gripping onto the outgrown locks of them, forcing my body upwards into his. I lifted my leg up to wrap around his hips that were already moving towards me. The feeling was consuming as I felt absorbed and devoured by the pleasure that was trying to escape from me. The sensation that was spreading through my body could not be expressed. My muscles tensed and coiled with the anticipation, longing for something more, longing for what I knew would come.

His hand now trailed down my forearm, grazing over my other hand until his fingers had then touched my waist. I could feel him tugging at the hem of my underwear that lifted a heavy aroma that I hadn't recognized before. His finger had found access under the hem, slowly tugging on it to get it to pass over my thighs. I hoped to have made it easier for him by lifting my rear from the mattress so it could pass over. His lips still encased my mouth, his tongue still exploring the insides of my cheek. He leaned back, finishing the maze to pass them over my legs, until they were on the floor.

"Bella," he breathed, parting his lips from mine. I nodded at him for him to proceed.

Jacob sat up onto his knees, unbuttoning his dress shirt that I hadn't noticed was still on. He stared at my exposed body that laid open in front of him. I began to feel self-conscious, looking away from him to hide the crimson that flowed through my cheeks.

"Please don't… you're so beautiful," Jacob said, noticing my bashfulness. He pulled his arms out of the sleeves of the shirt and continued to look at me with an adoring expression. He couldn't be anymore slower as he tugged at the belt on his dress pants, unlatching it to pull it out of the loops, and then to unbutton his pants, pulling down the zipper. He pushed himself off the bed grabbing a condom out of his pocket and then let his trousers drop to his ankles. He kicked his feet out of them, but he did not move. He continued to stare at me as he was half naked, only wearing his briefs. I couldn't help but stare at the outline that projected inside of them, pulling at the fabric to break free from.

"You know… I had thought about this moment for a long time… even before you started to have feelings for me." He paused, shyly looking away letting a chuckle escape his throat. "I'm sorry. That sounded childish and perverted. But seriously, I guess I didn't imagine you correctly, Bella. Your body is just..."

I looked up at him, closing my legs together tightly to hide what was exposed between them. The electricity flowed deeper; I could feel the inside of my thighs perspiring at his words. It was teasing to me that he continued to stare at my bareness, and it only excited me more for how playful it had felt. But I didn't want him to continue staring. I wanted him to take it further with his body in between my legs. I wanted to feel him.

Jacob shifted towards the edge of the bed in front of me, climbing back onto it on his knees. He set his palms on both of my knees that were tightly forced against each other. His eyes drooped as his lips parted looking down at me. He leaned forwards, pushing my knees apart from each other, leaning his head down between them. The rush continued to build up inside of me. What was he planning on doing? What were his intentions at this moment to part my legs from each other and to not have his pelvis near mine?

I could feel his breath against my swollen clitoris that had grown uncomfortably intolerable, but I didn't want to ruin the moment for him. I wanted him to have his way with me, for him to choose whatever actions excited him the most. I knew I would enjoy whatever he did to me either way.

I flinched as his tongue flicked me, flicking at the source of the uncomfortable throbbing. I winced at the small nerve that pulsed through me as his tongue continued to swirl around it, slowly, but unevenly.

"Jacob," I gasped loudly, gripping onto the sheets at my sides. Heavy breaths continued escape from my lungs. Soft kisses replaced his tongue against it, until the warmth of his wet tongue trespassed through me. My panting became more audible as I was losing my own self-control. "Please," I whimpered.

He looked up at me, taking in my quick glance into his eyes, and moved his mouth away from the inside of my thighs. He crawled closer to me, and then tugged at his briefs that were hanging low from his engorgement. He swiftly took them off, dropping them onto the floor. I gasped at the sight of it. I had never seen a penis in person before, let alone his. I was much larger than the ones I have seen in pictures. My only tools of learning the male anatomy were from school texts. Jacob chuckled at my reaction. He sat up on his knees, unwrapping the condom from the wrapper, and slid it on to him. He resumed his position hovering over me.

"Honey," his face no longer entertained a smile. "I don't want to hurt you… so please tell me if I do."

"I want you, Jacob Black… you could never hurt me," I ensured him. He smashed his lips against mine, forcing my lips to part. I wrapped my leg back over his waist and extended both my arms around the back of his neck, forcing him closer towards me. He moaned at the heightened sexual tension. He held himself up with only one arm while the other one reached down towards himself, searching for the entrance impatiently, but I immediately knew when he had found it.

I gasped loudly— grunts forced through my throat at the tearing of flesh that I had felt. I leaned my head back, trying to gasp for air as I could smell a small hint of iron. I knew this was normal during your first session of intercourse. Breaking the hymen was normally the sign that one was no longer a virgin, and I no longer was.

Jacob moaned as he was enveloped inside of me. His eyebrows furrowed, shutting his eyes tight. His movements were slow, but the pleasure that I was feeling inside of me was not displeased. I winced at the small movements as he went further in. It did hurt, but again, that was to be expected. I wouldn't let that ruin the moment. I knew I needed to endure the pain until my body could flexibly stretch around him.

"Oh, Bella," He said, thrusting himself further into me. His pelvis continued to grind against me. I tugged onto the hair at the back of his head, letting out rough moans. I never imagined it would feel this way once my body began to relax so it could adjust to be more inviting for him. I never knew how much I needed this, how much I needed him. The feeling was unbelievable, shocking… mind altering. I could hear a deep grumble erupt from his chest. His teeth exposed as his lips tore back.

He pulled away from my embrace. His left arm supported his weight as he moved his other hand underneath my rear so he could thrust in me more forcefully. I reacted by pulling him deeper into me. But he paused, taking in several deep breaths.

"No, Jacob, come back," I moaned, lifting my lips closer towards him.

"I'm sorry, I'm— I'm trying to control myself," he panted. "I didn't imagine you would be so tight... Does it hurt?"

"You feel… amazing," I murmured huskily. "It feels good way more than it hurts."

His face distorted, looking as if he was not able to control himself. He grabbed onto my rear again, pulling me closer to him, pushing into me deeper. My back curled as I let out another gasp of pleasure.

"S'okay, It's— It's okay." I moaned. I didn't want him to fear and break away from this pleasure. "S'good..." I moaned. I rocked my hips, mimicking his thrusts into me for a deeper push. "Mmm… mmm… mmm," I hummed at each thrust.

With one hand still beneath me, he lowered himself towards me again, continuing to thrust inside of me. His lips had found my lips, devouring me. It became difficult to kiss as we continued to lose concentration. The moans that erupted from my chest continued. Each one changing in pitch, going higher up the scale of a piano. The pleasure was consuming me. My chest felt heavy as my lungs flattened from lack of air, until I was no longer able to force any more air from them. The feeling became more intensified. Jacob had his teeth clasped against my bottom lip, continuing to thrust faster in me. I was no longer breathing, until a climaxing rush flowed through me, relieving me of all stress, all thoughts, and only bringing me pleasure.

Jacob had heaved out a heavy breath. His body fell slack on top of mine, as he continued to pant. His mouth flattened against mine as he tried to inhale air back into his chest.

Bliss… Bliss was all that I felt.

Jacob rolled off me, flattening his body next to me against the mattress. He had his arms and legs extended out as he was trying to get control back of his breathing. I looked over at him, and he did the same, exposing his teeth with a smile.

"You're going to have to give me a second," he heaved more air into his lungs. "You took my breath away."

"I could say the same thing," I implied, shyly.

He chuckled and looked back up at the ceiling. "Wow… if I knew it would feel like that, I would have taken you on this vacation sooner." As soon as he caught his breath, he placed a small kiss against my forehead and lifted himself off the bed. He practically danced towards the bathroom.

When he walked back out, I noticed the condom was no longer there. He was still bare, not a trace of clothing covering him. I bit my lip at the sight of his body that I had not taken in appreciation to before. He walked back over to him, shaking his head with a half grin on his face and laid back down onto the bed next to me.

"Damn, Bella. Not like you don't see me shirtless every time I'm around," He teased me, sticking his tongue out.

I changed my position on the bed, leaning onto my side to place my hand on his quaking chest. I cradled my head against his neck, curling my knees up slightly to get more comfortable. He leaned towards me, cradling my cheek with his hand, kissing the top of my head.

"Thank you," he said softly to me.

"No, thank you," I muttered back, feeling exhausted.

We laid there bare in the bed together on top of the comforter, until I drifted to sleep feeling satisfied.

The curtains that hung over the window did not do their job well enough to block the sunlight from casting through them. I awoke with my naked body wrapped around Jacob who was softly snoring through his slacked mouth.

I felt uncomfortable from the wet comforter we were laying on that was soaked in our sweat. As I lifted myself off him, the stickiness of my skin slowly peeled from his. I wanted to do my best not to wake him, so I slowly climbed off the bed, trying to not make a noticeable shift in the mattress. The time on the alarm clock read that it was already eleven-thirty in the morning, nearing the afternoon. Had we really slept all day?

I looked around for the pile of the towels that were in the room and grabbed one off of the dresser along with a face cloth and headed into the bathroom. I shut the door behind me, opening the curtain of the shower and turned it on. I placed the towel over the rack and turned around, noticing my bare body in the mirror. I gasped at the sight of my reflection. The makeup was smudged around my eyes and there were lines of sweat drips that striped across my face and down my chest

I was fortunate that I woke up before Jacob had. I wouldn't dare want him to see me like this. The reflection in the mirror of myself looked like a horror movie. I inspected my hair that knotted on the back of my head. I knew that Jacob did not pack a hairbrush or hair products for me, so I hoped that the complimentary shampoo and conditioner would succeed at getting the knots out if I toyed at them with my fingers in the shower. But I continued to stare at myself in the mirror, lifting my hands up towards my chest, trailing my fingers over my skin. I closed my eyes, remembering last night easily. Event by event. Where each kissed was placed. I hummed at the memory.

Steam started to cloud the bathroom mirror, so I knew the water was hot and ready for me to get under it. The water was warm and comforting as the water soaked into my scalp. I felt peaceful. I don't remember a time that I had ever felt so completely satisfied. I felt that I was whole, needing nothing else at this moment. Tranquility.

I was lucky that the complimentary conditioner did allow me to run my fingers easily though the knots in my hair, unclasping the strands from each other. I got out of the shower, grabbing my towel and wrapped it around me. I took one of the smaller towels that were in one of the nooks under the sink and held it against the mirror circling it clockwise until I could see my reflection. There, that was better. The makeup had washed off my face as if it was never so horrific only moments ago.

I kept combing my fingers through my hair, trying to straighten it out before I towel dried it. I walked back into the room where Jacob continued to snore. I didn't want him to feel uncomfortable that he was exposed, so I grabbed the bed cover from the other bed and dragged it over to him, covering him up. He jolted in his sleep, smacking his lips together and repositioned himself in the bed, making purring sounds. I went through my bag, grabbing the clothes that he had packed for me. I was displeased by the oversized band t-shirt choice that he had made, but it would have to do. I got dressed and headed back into the bathroom to blow dry my hair, leaving me to my thoughts.

I never knew I could have felt so much pleasure in one night. I knew that many people had enjoyed their sexual encounters but experiencing it for yourself was all the difference. I hadn't noticed that I felt sore until now. I let out a pained wince as I leaned over, supporting myself against the counter. I didn't notice that Jacob was fully unclothed, leaning against the doorway with his eyebrows furrowed in worry.

"Jacob!" I gasped, clasping my hand against my chest. "Sorry, you scared me…"

"Honey, are you okay?" He walked over towards me, rubbing his hand on my upper arm.

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine," I insisted.

"I'm sorry if I hurt you last night… I shouldn't have—"

"Jacob. I said I'm fine," I lifted my arms over his shoulders, intertwining my fingers behind the back of his neck. "Last night was perfect."

"Oh, I guess I misinterpreted you."

"I am sore, but I'm fine I promise. It's a first-time thing," I said, encouraging him that he had nothing to worry about.

His bottom lip pouted as he looked down at me. I smiled at him, hoping to show him that I meant what I said.

"Perfect, huh?" His eyebrows bounced repeatedly with a side grin formed on his face.

"Yes, Jake." I let out a heavy sigh through my smile, gazing into his eyes. "You were perfect."

"No, Bella. You were perfect. Your face… the whole time… It threw me off, and I loved it."

I stepped back, untwining my fingers. "My face?"

"Like the facial expressions you made during it. They just weren't something that you've made before… it was hot." He leaned down, placing soft kissing against my lips. I could feel myself blushing and I stepped away from him, looking down at the ground. What facial expressions could I have made that had made him think so highly of my appearance? I did appreciate that he liked them, but I didn't like that I made them. All I knew last night was that I felt pleasure, and bliss.

"Thanks," I said, shy. "Shower, Black. You stink," I grinned at him, lifting my hand up to his cheek. He held his hand against mine, looking adoringly into my eyes. My heart began to flutter at his stare, how it was directly on me. I wrinkled my nose, looking away from him. "Shower, now." I reminded him, throwing him a towel.

"Shower won't be as fun without you in there," he winked. I rolled my eyes at him sarcastically, standing up on my toes, and kissing him on the cheek and walked back into the bedroom. I stared at the bed, seeing the comforter looking a tad over used from our last night's rendezvous.

What did this mean for us now? I didn't know exactly what I had felt entirely about it anymore. I knew that I felt relief, stress-free, and happiness, but those factors all were the product of sexual satisfaction.

I did let Jacob know beforehand that I was not over my emotional and romantic desires towards Edward. I still missed him, so much. And even though I had expressed that to Jacob and he still wanted to go through with it, it still felt like a dishonest decision… but I didn't regret it. I was more than pleased that last night happened. It was a moment that Jake and I have both been anticipating.

I know many people have intercourse with strangers or with people they do not care for in that way. That wasn't the entire case for Jacob and I because I did deeply care for him. I cared for him so immensely that I could imagine a future with him once he was through with school and had decided to continue aging with me. I could imagine the possibility of us having children one day, not that children were a life event that I cared about experiencing. But the thought had crossed my mind. And I wanted that, I wanted that life with Jacob. Jacob loved me and he cared for me… but my heart held holes… holes that were still left open for another.

Jacob and I started to drive through the town with our bags packed in the back seat. I had insisted that I would pay for lunch considering that he had paid a large portion of his own money on the hotel room, along with the late check out fee. I had felt bad about that. I didn't need for Jacob to find a room for the two of us to spend our night together, or to go on vacation. I was content and happy being able to spend time with him at home where we didn't have to use money in order to enjoy ourselves. I understood his thought process behind the idea of privacy that continued to step in our way, but eventually I knew that we would have found the time and privacy in Forks to have been able to enjoy each other.

"So, I have thought of a few plans for today, but I want you to give me your input, too." Jacob said, looking over at me with an excited grin on his face. I couldn't hold back my smile when looking at his own. It was infectious.

"Well, it's warm outside, and there is a lot of sun to enjoy… so as long as we spend the day together outdoors, I will be happy."

"Great!" Jacob gleamed. "I thought we could maybe go to the lavender fields, walk around in them if you like. Maybe go down to the dock or the beaches."

"We have beaches in Fork's too. Including yours." I reminded him.

"Well, it's also not sunny on those beaches, and the shore is filled with rocks and pebbles and seashells. The beaches here are mostly sand, not to mention, it's sunny." Jacob reached into the glove department that was mostly bare and not holding many contents in it. He lifted his hand out of it holding a medium sized tube of sunscreen in it. "I can't help but notice how pale you are," he chuckled. "Don't want Charlie to be upset with me for letting you burn."

"I'm not pale!" I protested, but I knew that was a lie. How unordinary it was for me to live in Phoenix all my life just to continue to be pale. Forks' sunless skies didn't help with that in the slightest. I was most likely paler now than I was then from living here the past year.

Jacob raised his eyebrow at me with a teasing grin. I smiled at him, taking the bottle from his hand, and rubbing the lotion sunscreen on my cheeks. The scent of the lotion was familiar. Of course, it had been, it was sunscreen, but the familiarity was from my life before Forks when I had to use it most of the time. When life was simpler with my mom. Taking care of her and her flighty actions and personality were my sense of normalcy, but they were just good memories now.

"Lavender fields sound great," I smiled at him again. Jacob cocked his head at me, his eyebrows furrowed. I gasped softly at his reaction as he stared at me in that expression. He leaned his hand towards me, and placed his thumb underneath my eye, rubbing it back and forth.

"When was the last time you even used sunscreen? It's like a child blobbing up their face and not even blending it." I blushed at him as he continued to wipe the left-over splotches off the lotion into my skin. His hand against my face felt warm, but I could feel my body perspiring from his touch along with the heat of the air outside. I gently removed his hand and wrapped his fingers to interlace between mine.

The drive was not too long as we traveled up into the hills before we made it to a large red barn that held many storage items that were fit for the farming lifestyle of maintaining one of the many lavender fields in the area. Across the way farther in the distance, the driveway of the dirt road had stretched towards a large white two-story brick home. It was extravagant and very pleasing to the eye considering that it was out of the way from the rest of the homes here.

Jacob put the car in park near the barn and turned off the engine. He let go of my hand and climbed out of the driver's seat, making his way over towards my side of the car and opened the door for me, helping me out of the seat. I didn't need help, but I didn't want to diminish him from his act of chivalry.

Other people walked in the field and away from it towards the lower parts of the hills where the rows of lavender stretched across. There was a man that was walking on the edge of the field, holding paperwork in his hand on a clip board with a pen as he surveyed the crops and the people picking at the lavender bushes. Jacob had quickly wrapped his hand into mine and led our way over towards the man.

"Mr. Hoover?" Jacob shouted in question as he walked over towards him. The man looked up from the paperwork he was looking at and glanced over towards us. He let out a heavy sigh and walked to us to fill the gap between us and him.

"Sorry about that, sir. Got lost in my work. How can I help you?" The man made it to us, leaning his hand out to Jacob waiting for Jacob to shake his. Mr. Hoover gawked at the size of Jacob as he seemed to be at least half a foot taller than the man. It wasn't Mr. Hoover's fault that he felt so much shorter than him. Jake just had a special gene trait that not many people had outside of his territory.

Jacob leaned his other hand out to him that wasn't intertwined in mine, and took Mr. Hoover's hand, shaking it.

"Yes, I'm Jacob Black. This is Bella. I called the other day about seeing if we could walk around the field. Maybe pick some lavender along the way."

"Oh, sure alrighty. You're the guy from Forks. I wasn't expecting you for another twenty minutes, but no time like the present I guess," the man chuckled, releasing his hand from Jacob's. "You see, here. There are many rows between each row of the lavender bushes. Just make sure to walk in those gaps and it will lead you to the lavender trail that connects other lavender fields of neighboring farmers like myself. If you do take it upon yourself to pick any of the lavender plants, just make sure to bring them back to that barn over there and meet up with me. I just have inventory to process. It's not very much of a price. It's about a dollar for every ounce you pick." Jacob nodded at the man who then directed his stare at me. His eyebrow raised at me before glancing away back to Jacob. "Did you guys bring bikes by any chance?"

"Bikes?" Jacob asked.

"Yeah, for the lavender trail. It can be easily traveled within the day when you take bikes through it, but if you guys decide to walk instead, just make sure to get here before sundown. Wife is making dinner tonight."

"We will walk, thank you." Jacob leaned down, kissing the top of my head with his arm around my waste. His husky scent filled my nose and mixed in with the overwhelming scent of the lavender field. It was in the sense relaxing as the aroma of the lavender filled my sinuses. Leaving me with bliss and hope for the rest of the day. I could feel Jacob's arm around my waste lift me up as I hadn't realized my legs were becoming less reliable.

Mr. Hoover nodded at us and walked his way back over towards the barn.

"Trails?" I asked Jacob looking up at him as we walked towards the field.

"Well, considering this will be a completely flat adventure, unlike Forks, I expected that you'd be able to make it out alive without falling." Humor spread through his smile.

"Don't hold your breath," I warned him. He let out a heavy bark at my warning and led me through the gap between the lavender fields toward the trail.

The heat of the air felt nice as the sun was beating down my face. I smiled at it, missing the feeling of not being covered in a dense saturation of fog that I normally would be in Forks. Jake was right, I really did need this. The early afternoon was quite beautiful as it casted sun across the lavender bushes of each row. They swayed in the light breeze releasing more of their aromas. The trail wasn't necessarily a trail. It was more so a larger gap than the rest of the ones that separated each row of lavender. It eventually led you to cross over a wooden bridge that had a stream running under it, but other than that, it was very open besides the large white oak trees that were dispersed at times to help guide you through the trail. I suppose that I considered trails to be such as hiking ones with trees and rocks and dirt, but I wasn't complaining. It was a perfect day.

Jacob had lifted his arm away from me once he realized how much sweat dripped down on my forehead. It wasn't his fault, really. The air was just so warm that his body temperature increased mine while he had his arm wrapped around me. In Forks this wasn't necessarily an issue that caused me this because the air there was cold and damp, so his embrace in Forks was welcoming and irresistible to escape.

I walked over towards one of the rows, leaning in to break away a few bundles of lavender from each bush. I probably didn't need as many as I had grabbed for myself, but I knew that I would want to use them in my room until they had completely died. Lavender is neat like that though. They keep their aroma for a long time.

"Renee would go berserk over this," I said to him. "She always likes to fill her time with different activities. I couldn't promise that she would stay for very long because she probably would grow bored of it eventually, but she would enjoy this. It's beautiful."

"What is she up to anyways?"

"I'm not sure. Probably just finding things to keep her entertained while Phil is at practice. She's been enjoying the weather a lot. Phoenix is warm, but it's a very dry climate, while Florida is warm and the air is moist, as well. She thinks it's better for her skin," I replied chuckling at the thought. My mom most likely was on the beach enjoying the Florida weather of May. I could imagine her tanning and relaxing near the water on one of her beach chairs. I'm glad she was able to find happiness in Phil, especially after him being accepted for the Suns and not having to move as frequently. Not that she minded moving, she was a flighty person.

"I'm not going to lie though, this trip wasn't only just for you," He too grabbed a handful of stems from the lavender bushes. He held it up to his nose and inhaled a deep breath. "It's nice only having this to smell instead of sniffing around for bloodsuckers."

"Ah, no scary vampires raging hell on Sequim, huh?" I humored him.

"Nope," he popped the 'p' on his lips. "Too sunny for them." I nodded at him. He was right. No vampire would come here in their right mind to hunt or even live. At least not during the daytime. "C'mon let's go over there," he grabbed a hold of my free hand. He led me towards a field of grass with less shrubs of lavender scavenging over it. The area was out of sight of the fields from the large white oaks that blocked it off. It was a large cliff that anchored over the ocean, but there was a sign that read, 'NO TRESPASSING. DANGER' with a stick figure of a man falling off a cliff into the water.

"We can't. Can't you read?"

"Pshh," Jacob snorted. "Danger, smanger. You forgetting you have a wolf man holding onto you?"

"I don't think they thought of werewolves when they made the sign, Jake. But I think it's still implied."

"Oh, so running with vampires and werewolves is fine with you, but trespassing to see a nice view is where you draw the line?" He snickered.

"I am the Chief of Police's daughter you know. I follow the law."

"Yeah, Chief of Forks," He teased at me.

"And I will happily call him to drive down to Sequim to take you away in his police cruiser," I said, snakingly.

Jacob choked on his own saliva at my response, coughing it out. "Damn, Bella, remind me not to break the law in front of you. You'd give me up so easily." He half grinned at me, stopping in his tracks after heaving out a small chuckle. He rubbed his thumb across the top of my hand looking down at it.

"Well, looks like he will have to take the both of us," he impishly smiled at me before wrapping his arms around me, and holding me in a bear hug against him as he walked over towards the cliff. I squealed at him trying to add a dramatic event to what he was doing, but it felt a little childish, so I went limp in his arms.

"Jacob, that isn't fair," I complained to him before he set me back on to my feet. I shoved him lightly with my fist against his abdomen, looking up at him, but he continued to grin at me. He placed his hands on both of my shoulders and turned me around.

I gasped at the overhang. The water was a beautiful nice dark blue. The white caps on the water weren't very frequent as the waves were not so big today. For the most part, the water was very smooth and calm. The sun casted down a shimmer of light across the water, which was a sight that you rarely would ever see at the beaches in Forks.

Jacob bent down towards the ground until he was sitting on the field of grass overlooking the ocean.

"Wow," I said, taking in the incredible view. Towards a diagonal right of the small cliff, you could see the docks where many motor and sail boats were tied to it. There was a round strip of a tall sandbar with boulders and large rocks scaping it that came from the beach and looped around the marina, allowing only a one way entrance and exit gap for the boats to come in and out of. You could see boats taking turns when they idled into the marina, leaving one side open for boats leaving. People and families were on the beach that stretched away from the marina. They were hard to see considering how far away it was.

This was a view I could get used to seeing every day. The warmth of the air on my skin, and the light breeze coming off the ocean that roared in a flurry through my hair.

Jacob held his arms on top of his knees, looking out towards the water. I joined him, sitting down next to him and leaning my head on his shoulder. The warm of his skin didn't cause me to perspire too fast this time with the cool breeze blowing on my face.

"It's funny how this is what's on the other side of the mountains. You have cold and rainy Forks on one side, and then you have warm and sunny Sequim on the other," Jacob added with his eyes closed as he let the breeze hit his face.

"Oh no! My flowers!" I screeched as I noticed I had set them down and the wind carried them across the field and over the cliff.

"It's okay we can pick some more," Jacob replied, unbothered.

"Yeah, but we have to pay for those…"

"He won't notice. There are many people here picking lavender anyways."

We enjoyed the view for quite some time, overlooking the water. The chill of the breeze caused bumps to produce on my skin, but Jake would neatly glide his finger over my arm to suppress them. I enjoyed this. I enjoyed time with him, especially alone in a place like this. It was relaxing and very tranquil. I wouldn't leave if I knew that we had other plans for today.

Jacob heaved out a sigh, looking over at me as I was huddled in between his legs overlooking the water. Other people had noticed that we ignored the warning sign and trailed over towards the cliff as well to take in the view. Jacob let out a small chuckle at that.

"Charlie's going to have his cruiser full," he sneered. I let out a small laugh that trailed away from relaxation at his response.

"Are you ready to go? We can pick up more lavender on the way back. If not, we can continue down the trail."

More walking down the trail? Of course not. "Yeah, I'm ready. Where to?"

We headed toward the barn where Mr. Hoover was standing at the weighing scale on the counter, placing visitors' lavender piles on top of it and ringing them up for the price. There was a small gift shop inside that I hadn't noticed at first before. There were beer koozies with the name of the lavender farm on it, name tags and logo t-shirts, along with vases stacked onto shelves for people to place their lavender bundles in.

We hadn't picked up many, maybe more than a few ounces, other than the bundle that had drifted away in the breeze. I paid for it myself in guilt for what Jacob had already paid for the hotel room last night. He smiled at me when I did so and let me anyway. I was pleased.

We drove down the hill to escape from the lavender fields and were back in town. Most of the shops around were lavender themed. Small shops carried lavender scented candles, lavender scented and colored towels. There were also lavender tea bags, bath bombs, and jewelry. I wasn't surprised by the theme considering what draws tourists here. But we didn't need those items. We already had a bundle of lavender that we had picked. They had the regular essential stores like grocery stores, good will, gas stations, hardware stores, and an art museum that I didn't think we had time for. I told Jacob I wanted to spend the day outdoors, so that would have to possibly be saved for another day. But the small business owned lavender shops were very intriguing to go into.

I ended up deciding that I wanted to go inside anyways to look around. Signs hung on the wall that described the benefits of lavender for your mental and physical health which had made me roll my eyes. Small stations were laid around the store with essential oil diffusers and a display of lavender essential oils to put into the diffusers. The purple scented towel was probably one of the items I would have weakly purchased, but I knew that the lavender smell would go away eventually. This hadn't stopped me from wanting to support the small business, so I grabbed a couple of small bottles of the lavender essential oils and a small rounded cheap diffuser for it.

"Oh!" I gasped in excitement. "Jacob look! Lavender shampoo and conditioner. I've been meaning to change it up," I said to him, turning the bottle around in my hand.

Jacob's face formed into a pout. "Wait… Bella no. I like that you smell like strawberries. Please don't change it." I looked over at him, gleaming into his eyes at his words. Had he liked the strawberry scent of my shampoo this whole time? I wondered why he had never said anything about it before.

"You do?" I asked, unsure.

"Yeah, it smells really nice. It fits you," he shyly smiled at me, looking embarrassed at his words. I smiled looking down back at the bottle and turning it in my hands to read the ingredients. I could feel the blush forming across my cheeks at the kind words he said. It was nice that he noticed those kinds of things. I set it back down and continued to look around.

I noticed the glass balls that held the lavender flower in them. They were nice, but not something I cared to keep for myself in my room. Other items I looked at were decorative pencils that had lavender carvings on them, mirrors with lavender flowers glued to the wooden border. Picture framed with lavender presses on them, scented bookmarks, embroidered hand towels, and little keychains of the names of the local lavender farms. I picked up one of the coffee mugs with a cartoon picture of the town's harbor on it as a small gift for Charlie.

I turned around, realizing Jacob was no longer behind me. I saw him purchasing something at the counter and taking his receipt back from the cashier. I ran over to him quickly with the items in my hand, placing them on the counter next to him.

"What did you get?" I asked him, curious. He dug his hand in the bag and pulled out a small bottle that had a lavender flower on it. I looked up at him in confusion as I didn't read what the label had said.

A wide cheeky grin plastered across his face, "It's poop potpourri spray," he said, laughing as he turned the bottle in his hand to read it again. "Billy would kill me if I said this, but damn, his shit stinks." My eyebrow raised at him at the disbelief at his teasing towards Billy, but I immediately returned his laughter. "I didn't even know this was a thing!" He said, causing him and I to cackle more. He placed it back in the bag and rolled the small bag into his pocket. I placed eleven dollars on the counter, and she handed me my items and my change.

We walked around town, seeing people take pictures with a group of friends near the signs. I frowned at how I didn't have my camera. Renee would have liked to have seen a picture of me here. I hadn't told her about how much further my relationship with Jacob had progressed. Only she knew that we were close friends and that he was helpful with cheering me up. I'm sure she would have beamed at a photo of me and him on a trip together at this small town carrying a bundle of lavender flowers. I grinned at the thought.

"So, now that we got shopping out of the way… Want to go to the beach? The docks maybe?" He asked me.

"Hmm," I said, thinking about it. "Well, I think I would like to walk on the beach. The docks might smell like dead fish, and I get enough of that at home," I chuckled. Jacob's eyebrows raised and grinned at the thought, quickly agreeing with me with a nod and his lips pursed.

"The beach it is," He replied, grabbing onto my hand and walking back to the car. I put the items in the back seat, and he put the car in drive and we headed towards the coast. It was sandy instead of covered in shells and pebbles like Jake had mentioned. He helped me re-apply the sunscreen onto my cheeks before we ventured out too far on the sand. There were children running around with sand pails in their hands as they ran back to their parents. Young adults were getting a rundown by a guide on how to properly operate the jet skis in the water and where the safe zones were. As we walked along the edge of the water, I smiled at how much warmer the shore was as it drained under my feet. Jacob leaned into my side, slightly pushing against me during each step he took on the sand to irritate me with a taunting expression. He laughed every time I glared at him.

Jacob looked over at farther down the beach, squinting his eyes at something on the sand near the shore. He jogged over towards it and I followed behind him, trying to avoid the concave indentions in the sand as I jogged after him. It was a fairly large jelly fish that was washed up on the shore. He bent down towards it, looking at it. He picked up a small twig that was washed up and started to poke at it.

"Ew, Jacob. Leave it alone, it's dead!" I shrieked at him.

"How do you know it's dead?" He asked me, raising his eyebrow.

"It's one of those cannonball jellyfish. They don't last long out of water since they are mostly made up of it."

Jacob frowned at my response, still inspecting it. "It's still wet, might be new," he said. He reached his hand out towards it, making sure to not touch the underside and only the round superior portion of its body. He shook it around slightly to get the wet clumps of sand off of it, and then tossed it behind the waves that were curling onto the shore.

I smiled at his kind gesture towards the animal, even if it was possibly dead. Jacob slid his hands against each other to get the sand off them.

"So, it's getting a little late," he frowned. "By the time we get back to the car, we can drive around and look for somewhere to eat."

"Are you hungry?" I asked.

"Yeah, duh," he snorted. "That's why I said it."

We walked back up the beach, seeing the young adults still enjoying their time driving the jet skis over the small waves and circling around their friends individually.

"Maybe we can do that next time we come back here?" I said, still looking over at them.

"You'd want to come back?" He asked, with a hopeful expression.

"Yeah, I had a really good time! And I'll need to bring my camera to make up for it. I've been trying to fill up a scrapbook for my mom."

He nodded at me squinting at the sun that was beaming towards our faces as it began to set over the water. I closed my eyes as I continued to walk down the beach, holding onto his hand to guide me.

"So…" Jacob said, interrupting the silence of our walk and swinging our arms back and forth. "Did I do a good job today?" I looked over at him, seeing his face that hoped for a positive answer.

My face upturned at his question, and I could feel the light crimson pooling into my cheeks. "You always do a good job," I ensured him.

His face looked delighted as he nodded at my response, but then his forehead creased, still seeming to be calculating something in his head.

"What is it?" I asked, curiously. He glanced at me and then back to the sand ahead of us.

"Nothing, Bella," his mouth quirked.

"Tell me."

"It's really nothing I promise."

"If it's nothing… then you can tell me," I held onto his hand stopping myself from walking forward. He didn't seem to notice until my body jerked in his grasp from him pulling me. I took a step forward to balance myself and he turned around, noticing now that I wasn't walking. "Please?" I pleaded.

He glanced back at the water and faintly turned his eyes towards me. "It's not like you weren't honest with me." My eyes furrowed at his words. What did he mean? "And it's not like I knew it already. But I don't know. Just still kind of gets to me."

"Jacob, wha—" my sentence broke in confusion.

"Why aren't you over him?" He didn't look at me when I asked. He kept squinting at the water and his mouth was pushed to the side of his face. My lips parted at his question. One that I didn't think we were going to talk about. It was fair of him to ask, though. Jacob was doing his best to make me happy each and every day that he's with me. He gladly restored me when I was most broken down and never ceased to continue putting more and more pieces back together. But I didn't have a good answer for him. I didn't know what to say to him that would make him feel more sure about my feelings for him. I really do care about him, and the idea of being together in a small home with him, cooking dinner for him after he was off work, and him massaging me in the bath tub after a long day at mine was an idea that I grew fond of. But the question still remained true… Why aren't I over him?

"Like... is there something I'm doing wrong?" his voice broke at his question and his face fell. "Am I at least doing something right, at all?"

I squeezed on his hand tugging him closer towards me. His face still wasn't on mine, but I could see the hurt in his eyes when usually there is always a sparkle of joy when he's with me. I reached my hand up to his neck, brushing my thumb across it to get his attention. He looked at me, letting out a sigh.

"Jacob, no… nothing you ever do is wrong… the opposite actually." The corner of his mouth turned up, but I knew that he was only giving me a grin to be easy on me. "I don't know… to be honest. He was my first everything… except, well… the firsts you've given me." It was his turn for the slight blush that ran through his cheeks at my last comment. "Edward just… it's not only him that I'm not over. It's his family, entirely." I let out a sigh, anticipating his reaction that would be confused. "They were my family, too. I know, I know… they are vampires. I get it… but they loved me. Maybe not Rose, but the rest of them, yes. They were always patient with me and my human habits. They always seemed to care about keeping me safe, especially when…" Jacob looked down at my hand at the pale crescent shaped scar. He frowned at it, rubbing his hand over the coolness of it.

"But they left you…" Jacob added.

"Yes," I nodded. "I remind myself of that every day. Still doesn't mean I don't miss them."

"And what about Edward?" He asked, studying into my eyes for a reaction. I winced slightly at his name. I thought I was over that issue—hurting when I heard it.

"I really loved him, Jacob," I muttered loud enough for him to properly hear. It was an uncomfortable topic to have with Jake. I didn't mind having the back and forth conversation in my head about it but saying it out loud to him wasn't easy. Especially not after everything Jacob has done for me and continues doing for me.

Jacob nodded at my response, looking towards the ground. It was a few seconds before his gaze was back at me. "But you love me too, right?" He asked with a coy smile. I leaned into him, clashing my elbow against his chest and squeezing his hands once more.

"Yes, always." He nodded at my response and lightly squeezed my hand back and kissed the top of my head. He began walking backwards with a lopsided grin on his face, lightly pulling me along with him, continuing to head towards the car.

I decided to pick one of Sequim's local restaurants featured here. It was called Nourish Sequim and it dedicated its menu to organic, gluten-free on-site farm food. Jacob wasn't too keen about the idea of it being gluten-free and organic, but his mouth gaped after his first bite of the spiced lamb burger that he ordered. I couldn't help but chuckle at his reaction towards the food. I ordered myself the Dungeness crab melt which created an equal reaction on my face as his when I finally decided to gorge into the meal. We almost didn't talk during the whole meal because we were too engrossed in the flavors of the food and Jacob had to order an extra appetizer to suppress his normally enraged appetite.

"I had a really good day," I said to Jacob, licking my fingers and grabbing my napkin to wipe the corners of my mouth.

He nodded at me with a pleased grin on his face, letting out a small burp.

"So…" Jacob burped again in his closed fist. "Satisfied, huh?" His eyebrow raised with a coy smile. I scrunched my nose at his comment and threw my dirty napkin at him. He chuckled at my response and replied with a shrug. "Just making sure, is all." He looked back at me, bouncing his eyebrow. My face turned red once again at his comment. The corners of my mouth turned upwards as I looked back down at the table identifying the lines that were edged into it. He snorted at my embarrassment.

"Yes," I replied, muttering. "I'm completely satisfied."

"That's a shame…" his eyes slightly narrow, "cause after eating this food, I'm kind of hungry for something else."

I could feel my jaw slack at his words, gawking at his comment. A roar of laughter left Jacob's chest when he assessed my face and started coughing on some of the food that he still had in his mouth. That made me cackle with him.

"Ready to head home?" He asked me, coughing into a napkin.

"Not really, but I know Charlie is expecting us." I let out a heavy sigh. Jacob and I split the bill with each other, and I left an extra eight dollars for the tip. He wrapped his arm around my waste after we stood and headed for the exit.

When we got in the car, I leaned my seat back, holding my hands against my stomach groaning. The food was delicious, but I ate way too much, and way too fast. I looked over at Jacob who was rubbing his belly in a clockwise motion, causing him to burp again and exhale a breath of air through his lips.

"That gluten-free food is getting to me," he looked at me exposing his teeth with a grin and a small chuckle. I rolled my eyes at him and continued to lay back in my passenger seat, looking over at the window, taking in the night sky of the town as we drove away.

The day was perfect, and Jacob was more than perfect. More than I could have imagined…

I hadn't realized that I nodded off in the car on the way home until Jacob had pulled into my driveway, putting the car into park. He seemed giddy with himself after he had woken me up. I looked at him confused and embarrassingly wiped the drool off the corners of my mouth. I wiped my sleeve across my eyes and stretched my legs out as far as I could in the car, letting out a satisfied groan at the feeling of my stiff muscles relaxing.

Jacob continued to look at me. A prideful grin was plastered across his face with his chin elevated and his eyes half-lidded as I settled back into the car seat. "What?" I asked, confused by his expression.

"Oh! Nothing, nothing at all," he shrugged an innocent protest.

My forehead creased at his response. I sat there, continuing to stare at him with a displeased expression as I waited for him to answer me.

"Charlie's waiting for you, honey," he said, reaching over to unbuckle my seat belt. He leaned in behind him, grabbing my gift shop bag and the bundle of lavender from the back seat and unlocked the doors. He got out of the driver's seat and walked over to my side, opening the door for me, holding his hand out to help me out of the car. I continued to squint at him, confused on what he was thinking about. I grabbed onto his hand, allowing me to get out of the car easily and took the bag from him. He left the car on as we walked to my front door. I stood outside, continuing to stare at him before grabbing my keys, but I gave in and started to unlock the door anyways. He stopped my hand from opening it and cupped his other hand on my cheek.

My breath startled as he reached his face down towards mine, placing a small kiss on my lips that I wasn't ready to pull away from. As our lips detached, he brushed my cheekbone with his thumb.

"I'm glad we did this."

"Me, too." I said with a tired sigh, giving him a relaxed grin on my face.

"Oh, I know, trust me," the ends of his mouth raised again. "And it was, 'mmm, mmm Jacob… Sooo good,'" He dropped his hand from my cheek, opening the door for me in a swift move. My jaw dropped when I had realized I was talking in my sleep on the car ride home.

He chuckled at my expression as he walked quickly backwards to his car and hopped back into the driver's seat. "Tell Charlie I said thank you for letting me take you out this weekend. I really need to head home. I'll see you tomorrow! I love you, goodnight!" he stumbled his words quickly in a rush with a wink as he drove away. Coward.

I had to regain my face after the torment of the thought of Jacob having heard my less than appropriate dream in the car ride home.

"Bella?" Charlie called. I swallowed my throat, before cooling myself off, waving my hands back and forth at my face. I walked inside to see Charlie laying down on the couch.

"You didn't have to wait up for me, dad," I assured him.

"I'm your father. Of course I'm going to wait up for you." He lifted himself up on the couch, yawning before speaking. "So, you two have fun?"

"Yes," I said, letting out a sigh of relief. "A lot of sun."

Charlie's eyebrow raised, looking at me. "Did you put enough sunscreen on? Your face is red."

My eyes widened at his response as I turned myself to face the kitchen counter. "Yeah— I guess I didn't put enough on." I closed my eyes letting out another cool breath of air between my lips. "I got you something at one of the shops in town. It's not much." I pulled the coffee mug out of the bag and walked over to him.

"Gee, thanks, Bells." He inspected it before taking it out of my hand. "Will use this in the morning." He continued turning the cup around in his hand to look at the cartoon graphic. "I'm glad you had fun, kiddo." I smiled at him and headed upstairs to take a shower and then go to bed.

A/N

Well, my last chapter didn't get the 5 reviews that I hoped to get for each chapter… They really do encourage me to keep writing… So, if you will, please review as much as you can! Maybe give your thoughts on the chapter... Ask a question… Anything really. It just lets me know that you guys are there. This was actually my longest chapter I've written in this series! Not by much, but it does have over 10,200 words! I think my second longest chapter was around 9,400 words!

So! *blush* How did you guys like the chapter? Was it spicy enough for you? It was a little hard for me because I was trying to keep them in character as much as possible. I know Bella has fantasized at the thought of having sex with Edward in the books, so I know she has a sexual side to her, but I always imagined her to be a little awkward about it, too. And it was their first time, so Jacob was definitely trying out some tricks that he learned from a magazine.

And it's almost 3 am and I have class at 8 am… So, I will post this chapter before I head to bed. Goodnight!
