Day Five : Dance
"Again!"
Kokoro winced as Vil's voice echoed throughout the room.
How did I get myself into this mess? she wondered once more. All she had done was try to imitate the boys' dance for the VCD when no one was looking. At least, that was what she had believed. A word to the wise: never underestimate Rook's eyes. Or Vil's determination, for that matter.
Was it a welcome distraction from the singing and dancing lessons during the training camp? Whatever his reasoning, his teaching methods weren't working for her. Though if it kept his attention off of Epel…
"Focus!" the dorm leader snapped her out of her musing.
Carefully tugging her scarf up more, Kokoro quickly resumed her stance and began again.
One. Two. Three-
"No, no." he interrupted once again. "Your movements are far too stiff. A knight's armored arms would be more loose than yours."
"Then what do you want me to do?" the young woman questioned, exasperated. "I can only do so much with so little instruction."
In the background, Kokoro could've sworn she heard Grim snicker. If she didn't have to keep him in check, the feline monster wouldn't be there in the first place.
Heaving a sigh, the prefect waited as the head of Pomefiore took a moment to think.
"Perhaps we should try something else." he finally suggested. "Mirror me, if you will."
Doing as he said, Kokoro copied his movements. Throughout the lesson, Vil explained each motion and how best to attain it. It wasn't until evening that Kokoro found her dancing had become smoother and borderlining graceful, if she was being generous. At least, as graceful as she could get. Perhaps this was what she had needed from her senpai all along?
Vil handed her a water bottle moments after he had called it a night. After gratefully accepting it and easily hiding relief, Kokoro sat on the floor.
"While your first lesson left much to be desired, you did well, for a beginner." the dorm leader stated. "Though you have a long way to go, potato."
The young woman blinked. Was that what he considered a compliment?
"I would start by taking that scarf off." Vil continued.
A wry smile crossed her face, one she was glad he was unable to see. "Not a chance."
All I own is Kokoro. Everyone else belongs to Disney's Twisted Wonderland.
