Day Six: Cat
Though her reputation made her out to be blunt and straightforward, Kokoro had moments when she knew better than to open her mouth. Most of the time, that is. In the moments that had not been the case, her legs were quick to carry her away.
She did, however, doubt she could outrun the dorm head of Savanaclaw. Or any of its members for that matter.
Please don't let this be the day I find out. Kokoro silently begged, as Leona Kingscholar turned his glare towards her.
"Care to repeat that, herbivore?" the second prince challenged, daring her to save herself.
"Me and my big mouth." she whispered into her scarf.
"Eh? What was that?" If anything, his gaze hardened. Was this what it was like when you made the predator mad?
Clearing her throat, she raised her voice albeit shakily, "I said, you're like a cat sometimes."
Wrong words and too late to take them back and come up with something else. Leona stood up and towered over her with ease. His eyes were aflame, dashing any hopes she had of calming him. Where was Jack when she needed him? Or Ruggie for that matter?
"How, pray tell, can I be compared to Trien's feline?" he all but growled.
Taking a small chance and a step back, Kokoro risked a response.
"You both like taking long naps?" she tried.
Leona's scared eye twitched as his ears flattened. Oops.
Backing up once more, she blurted, "Something wrong, Mr. Grumpy Cat?"
And that was the brick that broke the camel's back.
Kokoro had never realized until that moment she was capable of moving so quickly. Nor how fast an angry lion could move when he wanted to.
All I own is Kokoro. Leona belongs to Disney's Twisted Wonderland.
