POV-Third Person
The doors to the medical wing erupted open as a distress Anakin Skywalker abruptly tumbled through them with a frowning Obi wan in-tow.
Ahsoka shot upright from her bed in a panic, fear becoming evident in her eyes as Anakin slowly approached her in a calming sense, clasping her right hand in between both of his, shushing her quietly between breaths.
"Ssshhh its okay Ahsoka, I'm here now," he coaxed, diminishing her fear.
Obi wan stood against the wall watching the pair communicate in hushed tones, completely oblivious to the fact of what even was going on. He was just being 'Obi wan', there to support them both when needed.
Anakin stood up, reaching into his belt pouch pulling out the crystal, handling it with care. He breathed out, asking Ahsoka to lay down flat, the soothing melodic tones echoing beautifully once again as Anakin suspended it in the air with the force above her body.
It hummed lowly as its luminescence grew, glowing brighter and brighter, encasing Ahsokas' body as she rested peacefully under its light. With her eyes closed and her face expressionless, colour returned to her skin, her strength returning to her body as stark tendrils of pure force energy healed and strengthened her body. Repairing the damage that has been done, slowly bridging the broken spirit of the young togruta.
Anakin focussed upon the crystal intently, eyes squeezed shut and hands outstretched, bent at the elbows, trained on keeping the supply of energy flowing freely; expelling the bad, evaporating it back into the force.
To Obi wans' interest he stood in amazement, unfolding his arms, watching it all take place, mouth slightly agape, eyes transfixed on the image before him. He never even stopped to think what else the crystal might have been used for. He watched on amazed by its power and the direct, clean energy flooding his veins from being in its presence.
As soon as it had begun, the healing process had finished as the glow of the crystal dulled, Ahsokas' body retuning to lay resting on the bed. Face full of colour and life, a small smile resting upon her face as she sighed, rolling over onto her left side, facing away from both Anakin and Obi wan. The crystal now hovering above her head, sending out small pulses over her body every so often, melodic tones soothing everyone within the room as it continued to heal her as she slept.
Anakin stood up walking back over to Obi wan, "we need to leave her be for now, I'll explain once we get outside".
POV: Anakin Skywalker
My body feels weak. I feel like collapsing and just falling asleep right where I stand but alas I must leave Ahsoka to heal with the aid of the crystal.
I know it sounds crazy, that a crystal, can speak to me through the force, and can heal Ahsoka. After everything I was told about her possibly never ever recovering, that this pure force energy, encased inside a shard of transparent rock, has given me hope that I will get the old Ahsoka back. Its unheard of it's a miracle. It proves that the force is truly watching over us and guiding us.
"Anakin," Obi wan said calmly as we finally made it outside to the temple steps, "what did you do?'
I sighed, "The crystal, it spoke to me".
He took a step back, furrowing his eyebrows, "I've never heard of such a thing like this happening before. What exactly did it tell you?"
I threw my hands up, hardly even believing myself that what I just did had actually happened.
Running my hand through my hair I breathed out, "it sounded exactly like Ahsoka, it guided me in harnessing its power to heal Ahsoka".
He remained silent as I continued walking down the temple steps.
"Wait, where are you going?" Obi wan called.
"I promised Petro and Katooni that I'd inform them on Ahsoka condition once she'd improved".
I knew Obi wan had questions, many questions. However right now, I'm not even sure that I have all the answers to everything that he's looking for. That healing took a lot of energy out of me. Guess that's what happens when you're not trained in the arts of healing.
I smiled to myself, Obi wan still hasn't caught on that all young initiates, soon to be padawans all hangout on the edge of the temple. It was the place to be after all. Away from sentinel guards, masters, and pretty much any other Jedi you don't want to run into. And the fact that it's a good place to socialize with the people of Coruscant without being frowned upon.
I could hear the playful laughter as I approached the end of the steps, shadows looming on the pavement, no physical beings in sight.
I hid my force signature and crept to the corner, listening in on their conversations.
"Have you heard? Master Fisto is considering me as his padawan…" came a nasally male voice
*whispers*
"haha, actually he was considering both of us but hasn't decided" another male voice retorted
"No way!" several voices hissed
"Actually you're both wrong, he was considering all of us as well as another initiate class. He just liked the idea of us since, Ahsoka took us to The Gathering" a female voice cut in
I chuckled slightly revealing myself from my hiding spot.
"Evening Initiates," I greeted as they all jumped back in surprise.
The look of surprise written on their faces was absolutely priceless, just before protocol queued in.
"Evening Master Skywalker," they all chorused
I looked around at them all, Zatt, Ganodi, Petro, Katooni, Biff and Gucci all stood awkwardly waiting for me to say something.
"How did you find us?" Petro asked
"How's Ahsoka?" Katooni chimed in.
I laughed, "I was a padawan once, and I was the one that started hanging down here first and heard that it became quite a popular spot these days. As for Ahsoka I just came down here to tell you that it looks like she's finally on the mend".
Katooni smiled, bowing her head, "thank you for telling me, Master Skywalker".
I smiled and bowed my head to them all, both respecting each other as they returned the gesture before I turned around and headed back up towards Obi wan.
I called out to them as I turned, "Don't forget you have a class with Master Fisto at 1800 hours!"
I could sense their panic as they checked their chrono as they started to sprint past me. It was 1757. Their class was in the courtyard on the other side of the temple.
I chuckled to myself and wandered back up towards the temple, meeting up with Obi wan again who clasped my shoulder, walking into step next to me.
We walked in silence back to the medical wing, the sunset looming tremendously through the windows. It rays warming my soul. I was content to say the least that Ahsoka was getting better. How long until she takes another traumatic stress 'spell' I don't know. I hope never again. I don't think my heart could take it. It hurts so much knowing I can do nothing.
The door slid open and I could see Ahsoka shift in her sleeping, slowly coming to, and the crystal still pulsing out light.
"Little Brother," Obi wan said in a softer voice, "I'll be there for you when you want to talk".
"Thanks," I replied softly, before entering inside, Obi wan leaving me at the door.
I approached her precious body, cradled on the medical bed. Her sweet face gently propped up by a pillow, the soft rise and fall of her chest as she breathed, the gentle noises she made as she began to wake up. I love every single little bit of her. I so desperately wish to hold her in my arms and never let go.
"Ahsoka," I said softly as I looked over her from the end of the bed, grasping the railing so I didn't melt over her beauty too much.
Her baby blue eyes flickered open and focussed upon me at the end of the bed, a smile pulling at her cheeks as she reached her arms out and stretched, holding them out to me, giggling.
My heart filled with happiness. The old Ahsoka was back and as cute as ever.
I pushed myself up and walked around to her bedside, embracing her tightly, pulling back before smiling down at her, planting a kiss between her montrals, hugging her again. She sighed, leaning into me moan as she swung her legs around to touch the floor, standing up. I pulled back and let her slip her boots on.
No words were exchanged as she walked up to me, as I stood in the doorway waiting for her. I ushered her out first being a chivalrous cliché, smiling brightly at her as she started walking towards our shared quarters. I quickly looked back into the med bay and called the crystal to my hand, turning the lights out and catching up to her.
'I must stay near her to keep her safe from the past' it whispered.
I slipped it into my belt pouch, closing it shut, the melodic humming soothing my racing heart as I pulled Ahsoka close to me.
"You're safe now I promise," I mumbled softly, just loud enough for her to hear.
She giggled looking up at me puzzled, "I always am, Skyguy," a sense of innocent and playfulness glinting in her eyes.
It hit me. She doesn't remember a thing.
