Hello!

ENJOY!

Steve drove us to another part of the parking of the airport. A van was there and Clint came out of it. I left the car right when it stopped.

"Cap," Clint greeted him as Wanda left the van. I knew there was Scott Lang in it as well, the guy who was tasered during his interview in jail.

I went to Wanda as they talked to each other.

"You okay regarding Pietro?" She took a deep breath.

"I'm hoping he will see things differently but he's sure signing was the best thing for the both of us." Huh, maybe I had something to do with that. Wanda shot a quick look above my shoulder. "And you?"

"You know, the usual." There was a message in German.

"They're evacuating the airport," James said and I clenched my jaw, which Wanda noticed.

I had not heard his voice since I joined them. It felt so weird.

"Suit up," Steve said, now in Cap's mode.

"Girls, you can change in the van," Clint told us. "I think we got everything Addie."

"Thanks old man." I climbed up in the van after Wanda, shutting the door behind me.

We didn't have much space so we kind of accidentally kicked each other a few times. I rolled my shoulders once I was out, Wanda closing the door behind us. I put my thought earpiece in my ear and adjusted it while we walked around the van to go to the guys. Clint gave us an earpiece each.

"We need to get to the chopper, but it won't be easy," Cap started. "Those who signed the Accords won't let us through this easily, so this time I'm afraid we'll have to fight friends. Everyone, you look for the chopper." He looked at me and I nodded at him, looking for who was there. "Carter, with me to stall them."

"Tony's here with Rhodey," I told them. "Nat is here too, Pietro, Vis...the King, no surprise, and a newbie." He seemed familiar though.

"Clint you're with Wanda. Sam, you're with Bucky. Take the upper level on the right. You do the same on the left. Lang, with us."

"Wanda and I should take care of Pietro and Vision, we're used to training with them."

"You take Pietro, I take Vision," she added, looking at me. Steve nodded.

"We're counting on you then." Clint's group left and Sam started to leave too, but James decided to do something else.

He walked up to me, grabbed me harshly by the arm and pulled me aside.

"Hey, hey mind your strength!" I reminded him. He let go of me and I rubbed my arm. "Seriously, what's wrong with you?"

"Leave," he told me, looking at me in the eyes for the first time in seven, eight months.

I gulped. The last time he looked at me, really looked at me, we were in my bed and his hands were…

"Sorry what?" I replied with a frown.

"We don't need you, leave," he repeated coldly. I scoffed.

"If it's to say stuff like that you can keep ignoring me." He took a deep breath and his eyes had a softer glint.

"I'm serious Addison, it's dangerous and…"

"Look, I think if super soldiers your caliber are set loose by a madman, it will be dangerous as well. You guys need all the help I can get, so I'm giving it. Period. Now stop trying to get me to leave because it's 'dangerous'," I spat, making quotation marks with my fingers, "or I might do something stupid like think you actually care, again." His face turned cold and he clenched his jaw.

"You really want to do this right now?" he asked me sharply with a frown.

"You started it you…"

"We have to go," Steve interrupted us. I had not noticed our faces had gotten closer in the fight that was coming. "You can finish after."

"As if I wanted to finish anything," I muttered, walking away. I felt his gaze following me. Sam shot me a knowing look and I glared at him.

Once they left, Steve joined me. He shot me a quick look.

"I don't want to talk about it, you're lucky I didn't punch him." He put on his mask.

"It's not the time to talk about this."

"I couldn't agree more." He removed the 'A' on his shoulder and put it in his pocket.

I didn't comment and followed him to the tarmac. We ran to the chopper but something landed on it, shooting electricity in it. We looked up, seeing Rhodey and Tony flying our way. They landed in front of us in loud metallic sound and Tony removed his helmet.

"Wow, it's so weird how you run into people at the airport, don't you think it's weird?"

"Definitely weird," Rhodey confirmed.

"Hear me out Tony," Steve started and I pursed my lips in apprehension. Tony sported a nasty bruise next to his eye. "That doctor, that psychiatrist, he's behind all of this." T'Challa joined the party.

"Captain."

"You Highness."

"Anyway, Ross gave me thirty-six hours to catch you and it was twenty-four hours ago," Tony said, walking behind Rhodey to move closer to us.

Actually, he stopped in front of me, without stopping looking at Steve.

"Can you help a brother out?" He looked down at me with conflicted eyes. "Look, if you come and tell your version about what happened yesterday I'll make sure someone above Ross will listen but only if you come. Don't repeat the same mistake." I pursed my lips.

"You're after the wrong guy," I told him and he rolled his eyes, moving away.

"You're both biased. Barnes killed innocent people yesterday." Sharon told me he went full Winter Soldier Mode but...she avoided telling me about the victims.

"And there are five more of him about to be let loose Tony. I can't let the doctor reach them first, I can't."

"Steve." We looked behind. It was Natasha. "You know there's no way out. Do you really want to punch your way out of this one?" I shared a look with Steve.

"Alright this is ridiculous," Tony spat. "Underoos!" Spider webs landing on Steve's shield and pulled it out of his grasp, binding his hands together.

I gasped at Spider-Man, with a better suit, landed on a truck.

"Nice job kid." I pointed at the boy.

"I show you his video and you go and recruit him!?" I looked at him. "Great suit by the way."

"Thanks Miss Cryptic, I could have landed better but I'm still getting used to it and…" He turned to Tony. "But it's perfect Mister Stark, it's…"

"Yeah, we don't really have to talk…" Tony told him by he waved weakly at us.

"Hey everyone. Cap...Captain, big fan…" He put his hand on his chest. "I'm Spider-Man."

"Yeah that's enough."

"You've been busy," Steve noted casually. Wrong move.

"And you've been a complete idiot. Both of you!" I gulped. "Pulling Clint out of retirement, getting Wanda out of a safe place, a place she didn't even want to leave! Can't...can't you see I'm trying to keep the Avengers from being torn apart?"

"You did that when you signed the Accords." He pursed his lips in frustration.

"Addison, one last chance. You turn Barnes over to us because it's us or a squad of J-SOC guys with no problems with being impolite!" I shook my head. He was not right but not wrong either.

Steve was not wrong, but not totally right either.

"If you don't want to listen to us then we have to force you to."

"We found it," Sam's voice said in my ear. "Their quinjet is in hangar five, north runway." Pietro started to move.

"Alright Lang."

Steve raised his hands and Clint shot an arrow that freed his hands. Scott went back to his regular size, giving Steve's his shield back. I created a wave of dark matter before them when Pietro made his move, making him dodge. He slid on the ground and we locked eyes.

He was not happy.

"Cap…"

"Like we discussed!" he yelled at me, running after T'Challa who was going for James.

Scott was against Nat and I was using dark matter to obstruct Pietro's way. Unfortunately, he went down and rolled on the ground to dodge my matter and punched me hard in his stomach. I gritted my teeth and shut my eyes when he grabbed me and ran in the building, stopping abruptly and sending me in a wall harshly.

"Damn that hurts bastard," I hissed through my teeth, my hair in my eyes.

"Yeah? Well I'm angry! I hated Stark, now it's Cap and Clint! For people who claimed to want my sister's well-being you love making decisions for her!"

"You're making it sound as if I was responsible for that," I said, getting up holding my stomach.

"You don't seem to be against it," he spat bitterly with narrowed eyes.

"I don't want to fight you."

"Too bad, I want the exact opposite." I sighed.

"Fine." I touched the titanium I had and made two batons out of dark matter, spreading it on the floor.

Fighting against Wisdom and Brian had been good. I cover an area, although small, in dark matter so that I could control what was going on. I could slow Pietro down enough for me to keep up with him.

Steve trained him too. We exchanged blows, with me having a slight upper-hand because I was more experienced. Physically he was slower, but his thoughts were not.

I gave him a bloody lip and my nose was bleeding, but I wrapped dark matter around his legs. I could break them if I wanted to but I opted for hitting the pressure point for the sciatic nerve on each of his thigh. He grunted in pain and I threw him in the wall.

"No hard feeling!" I screamed at him as I took off, running away.

Basically, he wouldn't be able to stand on his legs for a few minutes. Thanks Doc for telling me about it.

I heard a young scream and saw Spider-Man being dragged away by Redwing. I stopped at the railing and looked down, grinning at Sam and James stuck on the floor.

"Not funny!" Sam grumpily said.

"It…" I widened my eyes when I was violently thrown over the railing and toward the escalator. I made a small wall of dark matter, leaned my feet on it and landed behind Sam and James. I turned around as Pietro was coming and stopped him, lifting him from the floor.

I sent him where Spider-Man had been sent, still creating a layer of dark matter so that the fall was not too harsh.

"I thought my arrival was going to be ruined."

"Yeah, it wasn't, can you get us out of this?" Sam was getting impatient.

"Right away." I grabbed the knife in my boot and cut the web there was on Sam. I then went to James and did the same. He stared at the knife.

"You still have it," he whispered.

"It comes in handy." I got up, like him.

"Let's…" There was an explosion outside. "Let's go!" We ran after Sam.

We regrouped with the others outside but Vision shot a laser beam from the stone in front of us, stopping us.

"Captain Rogers! I know you believe what you're doing is right, but for the collective good, you must surrender." They all gathered in front of us.

"What do we do Cap?" Sam asked him. I shot Steve a quick look.

It was stupid. We were supposed to be a team, not a bunch of kids fighting because we didn't agree on something.

"We fight," Steve said as he started to walk forward. We imitated him, they did as well, and we ended up running toward each other.

We all ended up fighting each other. I was against Pietro once more, but I was trying to keep him focus on me instead of someone else. He was more cautious than before because of the trick I pulled on him in the building. We were so focused on each other that I did not notice the container in my back until I was against it.

"Shit!" I cursed as he smirked. He went for me.

He didn't see the metal fist in front of me. I blinked in shock and looked down at Pietro, holding his broken nose in pain, then looked at James.

"It had to be the metal arm?"

"The longer he stays on the ground the better," he replied, staring at Pietro.

T'Challa was running toward him after having been sent in a container by Wanda. I touched James' arm, covered my hands and feet in dark matter and slipped behind him, my back against his when I stopped the King's arms. James didn't move and reached out to my boot to grab my knife and tried to slash T'Challa. The King raised his leg and stopped the blade with his vibranium suit, but I had touched it for long enough to create a ball of dark matter and hit him in the stomach with it, hard enough to send him flying.

I took a deep breath.

"There's one thing that didn't change," I whispered to myself, knowing James would hear me. I looked at him. "You need to leave. Steve and you."

"I know," he replied in a raspy voice. "Bu…" I didn't hear the end of his sentence that I was on Pietro's shoulder.

I stopped his legs, clenched my hand in his back and sent him flying, still on his shoulder. We landed harshly on the roof of the building. I rolled a few meters back and knelt on the ground. I stood up, ready to immobilize him again but looked toward the tarmac.

I lowered my arms. I did try to not go overboard, not hurt anyone too much because we were...we were supposed to be a team. Yet, watching them down there, no one was pulling their punches.

"It's not right," I whispered, knowing that Pietro was walking toward me. "None of it is."

"You're done fighting?"

"I didn't want to fight you, or any of you," I told him, glancing at him. He pursed his lips and looked down as well, frowning at the red specks of magic in the air. "We shouldn't have let it come to this."

"You're all pretty stubborn." I rolled my eyes at him and he looked away. "But so are we. I guess."

"At least we all have that in common." He smiled slightly.

We didn't fight each other. We just watched. Scott turned big, Steve and James ran to the quinjet, T'Challa after them, Wanda got involved, I refrained Pietro from moving when Rhodey used something to disturb her. Eventually, Spider-Man managed to defeat Scott with Tony and Rhodey.

The quinjet took off. Rhodey followed them, Sam behind, then Vision…

"Shit Pietro we need to break his fall." He grabbed me and brought us closer.

I touched the foam and created a huge block of dark matter with one hand, slowing Rhodey down as he was falling at high-speed. Everything was quiet when he dived in the dark matter and touched the ground. I dispersed it and ran to him, kneeling next to him. I removed his face plate when Tony landed, Sam doing the same further away.

"Rhodey?" Tony called him in horror. "FRIDAY, body scan now!"

"I...don't recommend…" Rhodey mumbled, his eyes closed. I shared a look with Tony and sighed in relief.

"An ambulance is on its way." I raised my hand to my earpiece.

"Stand down everyone. It's over." I averted my eyes from Tony's disappointed ones.

"You're damn right it is," he hissed through his teeth.

We were arrested, Wanda and I gaining a beautiful collar unlike the others who just had their gear taken away.

"So that's it? We lose?" Scott asked us. I was with him and Clint in the back of a truck. Sam and Wanda were in another one.

"We're taken to the Raft without a trial," I told him. "That's what the Accords say."

"The UN didn't seriously sign this," Clint hissed between his teeth in disbelief.

"Steve pulled you out of retirement without making you read the Accords?" I asked, clearly sarcastic. He frowned at me. "Sorry, it came out meaner that I thought."

"Hank is going to kill me," Scott muttered.

"Hank Pym?" He looked shocked.

"You know him?"

"I'm Margaret Carter's granddaughter, they worked in SHIELD together. He came at her funerals in 2006 and offered me his condolences."

"Oh, I see."

"Do you know where this Raft is?" I shook my head.

When they made us board a plane, I had a bad feeling in my mind. However, it was strange.

My head was empty, there was only my thoughts. Usually, even if I turned off the thoughts of others, I knew they were there but right now...nothing.

I paled drastically when I realized the prison, the prison where Ajax and Angel Dust were, was an underwater prison.

"It's a joke right?" Scott asked, slightly panicked. "I'd rather go back to regular jail!"

"Where do you think they are by now?" I asked Sam, noticing Wanda's resigned and empty face and eyes.

"Close I hope," he replied quietly. He eyed the collar around my neck. "Does it hurt?"

"No, my head hasn't been this empty for a decade. It's just...weird."

Before we were thrown in a cell, they placed bindings on Wanda and I to block our arms and hands.

"We can't really do anything with the collars," I told a guard. He just tightened the bindings even more.

I didn't know how long it had been, probably a few hours. Maybe a lot of hours.

The only thing I knew was that Tony looked like shit when he came to visit us. I almost rolled my eyes when Clint started clapping.

"The Futurist ladies and gentlemen! He sees all! He knows what's best for you, whether you like it or not."

"Give me a break Barton. I had no idea they'd put you here," Tony told him, walking toward his cell. I couldn't say if he was lying or just too taken in the situation that he'd become naive.

Clint spat on the floor.

"Yeah well they had to put us somewhere Tony."

"Yeah but not some super-max floating ocean pokey. This is a place for maniacs, for…"

"Criminals?" Clint finished for him, standing up.

I listened to them quietly, Clint losing it against Tony. I fought with Steve on my own free will, I knew exactly what would happen. While I thought I did the right thing to join Steve, it was not to really oppose the Accords, just to prove James' innocence and that five other super soldiers were bad.

That was why I couldn't find it in myself to agree with Clint when he said we weren't criminals. There was a law. We broke it. We were sent in a jail. Yes, maybe the law wasn't fair, but it was the law and we broke it, end of the story. There was that, and the fact Wanda and I would be sent to jail anyway if we didn't sign the Accords because in spite of everything we were former criminals. I was a terrorist against my own country, she joined HYDRA and helped Ultron.

We were part of the Avengers, but it was the only thing shielding us from jail.

I nodded at Sam when Tony asked him where Steve was, especially when he showed him a picture of a dead guy. Ultimately, Sam told him and Tony stopped next to my cell.

"I knew what I was getting myself into," I told him before looking at him. "Go." He pursed his lips and left.

I laid down on the bed I had and moved only for meals. After five of them, men entered and stopped in front of my cell. I looked up at them and stood up when they opened it.

"You're coming with us for interrogation," one of them said coldly as they grabbed each of my arms.

"Interrogation about what?" Clint asked them. Everyone was looking at us.

"None of your business." They dragged me harshly, hands clenched tightly around my arms. I was sure I would have bruises.

I was sat down on a chair in an empty room. The one who seemed to be the leader told the others to leave, which they did, and he leaned toward me, his hands on the back of the chair.

"So, you're going to tell me about your little adventure in England." I frowned.

"Funny, I would have thought you'd ask about my fugitive friends."

"Oh no, my boss asked me other things." I blinked at him and his smirk. "He got his hands on some of your blood thanks to Victor and is very, very interested in you now." I paled.

"Malice?" I asked quietly and he nodded.

"You've heard of me then. I failed to possess this...humanoid with you back then but…" He...she put her hand on my head. "I wonder how difficult it would be to get in there knowing your powers are blocked. Probably not much."

"What's with my blood?"

"Hum? It's evolving, but I'm sure you already know that. Mister Sinister would like to know why it is evolving though."

"Mister Sinister? That's his bad guy's name?"

It was ridiculous, but discovering more and more about Weapon X and the scale of what was happening was enough to give his alias a meaning.

I shivered in fright.

He was interested in me because…

An alarm started ringing. I looked up, like her.

"You're coming with me." With my arm in her hand, I had to follow. Many, many guards were knocked unconscious. Someone had infiltrated the place, there was no doubt about it. "Damn it…" she trailed off in the body of the guard before being electrocuted.

I looked down at the arrow in his back, then behind me. Clint had his bow and arrows, Steve next to him. They ran up to me. Clint grabbed his arrow while Steve removed the bindings I had and the collar. I rubbed my neck.

"I really don't like things too close to my neck since Seoul," I muttered to myself before nodding to Steve. "Good work."

"You're okay?" I nodded again.

"Sure thing. Let's go." I looked down at the guard.

"Yeah, let's go," I agreed, following them. Steve gave me my belongings and we ran to the surface.

The wind lashed at my face and I paled when I was brutally reminded there was only the sea around us. God, that was very anxiety triggering. Too much, I had never realized how much water triggered me now. I raised a hand to my neck. I could still feel the collar around my...

"Addison, move already!" Clint barked at me, already getting on the quinjet.

"I…" Steve scooped me in his arms and ran in the jet, jumping inside. I blinked at James piloting it as he pressed a button that closed the door and took off. Steve put me down on a seat and knelt in front of me, a worried frown on his face.

"Addie, are you sure you're alright?" I stared at him without a word and nodded numbly.

"Yeah, just...Seoul," I whispered to him. He took a deep breath.

"I see." I leaned my head back. "Why were you away from the others?"

"They wanted to ask me questions about you, see if I knew something. I couldn't tell them much." There was a short silence and Clint stretched out.

"In any case, believe me when I say I'm officially retired now!"

"Understood Clint. Go back home and take care of that brood of yours."

"Can we just go home?" Scott asked Steve.

"If they dealt with the doctor and if he's now in jail, it should be okay. You won't be entirely free though," I replied.

"It's what King T'Challa said as well," Steve confirmed. "If you surrender to the authorities you should be able to avoid jail but I don't know much."

"There might be these tracking devices if you show up to the feds," Sam pointed out.

"I'll take it," Scott said. "I mean, not that I don't like you guys but I have a daughter and…"

"It's okay Lang. Thanks for helping us."

"It was my honor Captain America."

"What do you want to do?" Steve asked Sam, Wanda and I.

"I'm not sure," she replied weakly.

"Same, I can't put my family at risk Steve and I'm not surrendering to the feds either." They looked at me. I shrugged.

"Alright, Clint and Scott, we're going to drop you off first."

We did, then Wanda at a place she wouldn't say anything about, after making sure we would be able to contact her and vice-versa. Nobody mentioned Pietro to her and it was for the best, I wasn't sure if I wanted to know about how she felt about her twin right now.

"So what now?" Sam asked Steve and James as I was piloting the jet.

"T'Challa said they might have a way to get rid of HYDRA in Bucky's head, we're heading there when he contacts us again."

"And until then what? We stay in the air hoping nobody spots us?"

"We will be spotted by a country at some point," James pointed out in a raspy voice.

I put the quinjet on autopilot and went to my stuff. I grabbed the numbers I had written before Sharon took my phone.

"Hey, did he give you a phone?"

"Yeah but it seems very complicated." Steve still handed it to me and I smirked.

"That's an old Wakandan model."

"Okay, it's getting annoying you knowing more about Wakanda than any of us," Sam suddenly told me in a scolding tone.

"I can't help it. But if T'Challa has who I think he has in mind, then there's definitely a chance James can say goodbye to HYDRA for good."

"You think?" he asked me, a little bit hopeful. I nodded.

"Now if you'll excuse me, I have a call to make."

"A call?" Steve repeated, confused. "Who are you calling?"

"Hopefully a safe house," I replied, going to the bathroom. A few minutes later and some convincing being done, I exited it and went back to pilot the quinjet, entering the coordinates.

"So that safe house?" Sam inquired, the three men approaching me.

"Well, it is a safe manor." I could feel them exchanging confused glances. "We're going to Essex."
