A/N: Harry Potter is the work of J.K. Rowling. I own nothing, I simply just like to play with some of the beautiful characters she wrote.

A/N: This is one of my first fanfictions I'm ever posting. I've read many and I've wrote some, but I have never posted before.

A/N: I'm so sorry for the long wait in between updates, I have written this chapter probably 10x over. I hope you guys enjoy it!

Ana woke up to a particularly young and loud healer coming into her room. Ana's body didn't feel as heavy as it did when she first woke up yesterday but when she tried to sit up in her bed, she found that she still had hardly any strength.

The healer noticed her and came practically running over. Ana smiled politely, she remembered when she had first started that she felt the need to do everything quickly and efficiently so no one could ever question her place at the hospital.

"Good morning Ms. Potter. My name is Healer Nettle."

Ana tried groaned as the healer helped her into a sitting position. Her limbs felt stiff and achy and the healer summoned over various potions.

"Strength potion, Muscle relaxent, and Girding potion?"

The Healer smiled. "You're a very smart witch, Ms. Potter. I suppose being a healer yourself you had to have been bright with potions."

Ana shrugged, "I haven't been a healer for twelve years. I did do the fast track training since my N.E.W.T scores were so high."

Healer Nettle beamed at her, "I did the fast track training too! I was a Ravenclaw in Hogwarts."

Ana was enjoying a conversation that wasn't centered in her own head or about her miraculous recovery and she offered up some information on herself as well.

"I was in Gryffindor, I almost had the highest score in my seventh year but I was actually beaten by 11 points on my potions NEWT."

Healer Nettle's eyes widened comically and she began uncorking potions. "Goodness, I was 13th in my year, I couldn't imagine how much you must've studied."

"Well I had a bit of an argument with my friends in my seventh year so I spent months just studying my arse off."

Nettle laughed and Ana decided she liked the woman. She seemed fairly young, probably her early twenties and her laugh was bright. Ana didn't really realize how damaging it was to not be able to talk to someone for so long. She was already feeling less anxious and more relaxed than she had in a very long time.

"You're going to need to take all of these and then I'll bring your breakfast, then if you'd like I can cast a few cleaning charms and help brush your hair."

Ana shrugged, "If you'd like, I'm not sure fixing my bed head is worth it if I'm just going to be confined here."

Healer Nettle pushed the potions towards her and Ana started with the muscle relaxent, cringing at the bitter tang that coated her tounge.

"I thought you might want to be a bit fixed up for Professor Lupin today."

Ana nearly spit out the strength potion and Healer Nettle gave her a surprisingly devious smirk. Ana quickly swallowed the rest of the potion.

"Remus? Remus is coming to see me today? When?"

The healer let out another bright laugh and nodded.

"He owled back just a short while ago. He should be here around lunchtime."

Ana suddenly felt like she could jump out of bed and do a jig. She wasn't sure if it was the potions doing their job or the fact that she was going to see her best friend but she was feeling the best she had in a very long time.

"Oh Merlin, I probably look a right mess! Yes please, cleaning charms, help me with this nest that is my hair, as much as you can do."

Ana didn't consider herself the most vain of witches but she did want to look as well as she could when she saw Remus. Healer Nettle had her wand out and was suddenly casting a few spells and charms.

Ana felt cleaner and when she lifted her hand to her hair she was able to run her fingers through it. She grinned at the Healer and shook her head, feeling her hair whip around her.

"How do I look?"

"I think that you look lovely, Ms. Potter."

Ana laughed, knowing that she probably was pale and she knew that she had lost some weight and probably was a bit gaunt but she was feeling so appreciative towards Healer Nettle. She was glad she had a witch healer and not a wizard, as a wizard probably wouldn't have even thought that she'd want to look a bit more put together for her first visit since waking up.

"Alright Ms. Potter, I'm going to have your breakfast sent in and I'll come check on you again later and bring you some more potions later this afternoon."

Ana gave a small wave as Healer Nettle gathered her things and left the room. Only moments later a tray was in her room and Ana grimaced at the thin porridge like food that was in front of her.

The food wasn't the best and it was definitely bland but she ate it and relished the first real food that she had since she could remember.

Ana was feeling quite awake and alert but she didn't dare try to leave her bed, knowing that she'd definitely fall. Her physical therapy would be starting next week after she had been on her potion regimen and the healers thought she'd be able to stand.

No one was quite sure how to treat her and Ana didn't know how she would treat her either. It was almost unheard of to have someone wake up after so long. It was more of a try this and this how it works and play it day by day.

Time seemed to be ticking by slowly and Ana's thoughts drifted to Remus, or should she be calling him Professor Lupin. Finding out that Remus was a Professor at Hogwarts was shocking and Ana knew that the students and Harry especially were so lucky to learn from him.

Remus had been fourth in their last year at Hogwarts. Severus had beaten everyone and Ana had trailed closely behind, followed by Lily and then Remus. Ana briefly wondered how Harry found Severus as a Professor. Minerva had mentioned once a year or so ago that Harry did alright in potions, much like his father did.

While James had detested Severus, Lily had been friends with him since they they had lived near each other as children and Ana had become their friend during first year.

It was ways a constant struggle to defend Severus and her boys while they hated each other so fiercely. She had tried numerous times to get the pranks and the backhanded hexing under control but they had never listened.

It wasn't until their fifth year that Lily and Ana had a break in their friendship with Severus after some harsh words after their exams. Severus had called Lily a mudblood and when Ana jumped in he had snapped at her too calling her a lowly blood traitor.

It had hurt mostly because while Severus was in Slytherin he had never been a blood purist, especially given he was a half blood himself. However his housemates were dark and Ana and Lily knew that Severus had begun down a road that many Wizards before had gone down themselves.

Severus had begged for forgiveness and Lily and Ana had given him an ultimatum, his housemates or them. He made his choice and it wasn't them.

Ana often pondered over her many years stuck in the hospital if they had made the right choice. If they had forgiven him and been there if maybe they could've pulled him away from the dark path he had begun walking. Even more often, she wondered if losing Lily and herself had just driven him even more to the darkness.

Ana had talked to Severus a few times after Hogwarts, once he joined the Order. Lily had never really said much beyond hello but Ana suspected it was more because of her worry about her family at the time than anything against Severus.

Lily was kind and forgiving and Ana knew that like herself, she was glad Severus had found himself doing the right thing. He had been Lily's first magical friend and while the war had torn them all apart he had held that spot in her heart no matter their differences.

The boys hadn't been quite so forgiving of course. James refused to acknowledge his presence, Remus had been quite reserved in his presence but at least respectful, and Peter had just followed Jamie's lead like he tended to do.

Ana's mind drifted to Sirius Black's very explosive reaction to Severus every time he came in contact with him and Ana wondered if it was because he was worried that Severus knew what he was really involved in and was scared he would tell the Order or if maybe it was due to his anger at Severus being a spy and betraying his master.

It didn't make much sense, Severus was never hurt or killed so either Voldemort wasn't aware or he was and Severus wasn't really their spy. Of course Ana doubted Severus was double crossing them, not with how many lives they had saved thanks to their information. However, why would Black keep something so important from his master?

The whole thing gave her a headache and she tucked away those thoughts as she checked the time. She still had some time before Remus would be arriving and she sighed. Time had always been an enemy of hers.

Ana leaned back on her pillows and tried to wandlessly move her blanket off the bed. She huffed as it hovered only slightly before falling and crossed her arms.

She was weak and it angered her. She needed to get stronger and better for Harry. Realistically she knew it would take time but patience wasn't her strong suit. She was tired of the strong antiseptic smell and the bleak white walls.

She briefly wondered if Harry was going to be coming with Remus but quickly dismissed the idea. Healer Nettle only mentioned Remus and taking Harry away from a heavily warded and safe place like Hogwarts while Black was on the loose was not a good idea. She was sure that Minerva wouldn't allow him to go, she was always fiercely protective of her students and Ana knew that first hand.

Ana tried to read to pass the time but one look at Sirius Black's screaming face while holding his Azkaban number was more than enough to put her off the paper for life. She made a mental note to ask Remus about how Harry was faring with the whole thing and she wondered if anyone ever told Harry who Sirius Black really was to him.

When Harry had been born it made sense for Sirius and Ana to be godparents. Ana was Harry's aunt and if anything happened they wanted him with her. If anything happened to her, then Harry would go to Sirius.

Ana couldn't bear to imagine Jamie's last moments when he realized that his very best friend was actually a traitor. It made her skin crawl and her eyes mist over when she thought back to how she had found her brother, laid on the stairs with not even a wand in his hand.

A Gryffindor to the very end, he faced off with one of the darkest wizards in history with not even a wand to defend himself. Jamie had always been fiercely loyal and when he loved someone he would have done anything for them.

Then there was Lily, who was probably the kindest person Ana had ever known. She was bright and positive and her temper matched Ana's own. In her first year she had the boys and Jamie had looked out for her every moment of everyday, but she found herself needing someone she could talk to about things that she just didn't feel comfortable telling her brother about.

Her friendship with Lily had started off tentative. Lily was wary at first, given that Severus and the boys had been at each other's throats since they met on the Hogwarts Express. However through sharing a dorm and multiple classes, Lily had realized that while Ana shared a mischievous streak like her brother, she didn't share his hatred for Severus.

Severus had been very reserved and snarky when Lily first brought Ana to the library to do homework with them, but after a few weeks his snark had lost its edge and he became more and more comfortable in her presence.

While their had been arguments with Severus and the boys over the way they treated one another, it had never put a strain on any of their relationships. They accepted that she wanted to be friends with all of them and wouldn't be deterred.

Still when Severus would be randomly tripped or one of the boys would be met with a stinging hex that came out of no where, Ana had been there with her lectures and her asking for everyone to get along.

It had never happened but Ana was never one to sit idly by and keep her mouth shut when she saw something she didn't like. Like Jamie, Ana would also do anything for her friends.

It wasn't fair that from all her friends and family, only Remus and her were left. Voldemort had taken nearly everything and her thoughts trailed full circle with her mind coming back to Sirius Black. He had broken out and would take away what little she had left if he could. She wouldn't allow it though, she would die before Black ever took someone else she loved away.

Ana only noticed that she had begun to cry when tears fell onto her hand and she quickly wiped them away.

Ana noticed that since she had woken up that she had been prone to spacing out and thinking. She was always thinking about things that had happened, why they had happened, and what she could've differently. It was exhausting and Ana knew that it wasn't healthy but after years of only having her thoughts for company she didn't know how rework her brain.

Last night when she had mentioned to the healers that she was mentally present for twelve years, they had mentioned her need to see a mind healer. She had brushed it off, thinking it unnecessary at the time. However, this morning as she realized hours had passed while she was ruminating on the events of her life once more she thought it might not be a bad idea.

It wasn't healthy to be so obsessed with past events, she knew that she wasn't doing as well as she had been portraying to the healers since she woke up. She could only hope that once she had Harry back that she would have something new to focus her mind on.

Ana check the time again and smiled as she saw that Remus would be at St. Mungo's anytime now. Ana decided in that moment that she would try to stop her long trips down memory lane and stop berating herself for everything that had happened.

She was awake and on the slow road to recovery. She had Harry and Remus now, she was no longer isolated and prisoner in her own mind. For so many years she had nothing but her past to keep her company, now she could make new memories.

Suddenly Ana's ears picked up shuffling outside her door. She hadn't been very fond of the heightened senses that being an Animagus had brought her while in St. Mungo's. The smells were often overwhelming and the constant bustle had been hard to block out at first. However, over the years she had become accustomed to it and now she was greatful for her sensitive hearing when she heard the slightly different, yet very familiar voice of Remus Lupin outside her door.

"Ok Remus, you can do it."

Ana snorted, feeling greatly amused at the fact that Remus had felt like he needed to give himself a pep talk outside her door. She understood though as her heart suddenly felt like it had wedged itself inside her throat and nervousness overtook her. She forced herself to call out to him, her nerves were in high gear but her desire to see him overpowered anything else she was feeling.

"Remus, I can hear you out there."

Ana waited for only a couple moments and then her door slowly opened and there was Remus.

He was as handsome as he ever was, but he had aged. His face had more lines and more scars littered his face. His hair now had grey strands mixed in with his dirty blonde. It was hard in that moment to see just how much time had passed. However when Remus gave her his slightly crooked smile her heart warmed and she knew that no matter how much time had passed, he was still her best friend.

There was a short silence where it seemed that neither of them knew how to address the other after so long and Ana decided to break it by acting as they always had with one another.

So Ana raised her eyebrow and gave him a grin. "Well Moony, you got old."

He looked so shocked for a moment that she couldn't help the loud and carefree laugh that bubbled up from deep inside. A large smile appeared on his face and suddenly he was joining her in her mirth. He moved across the room faster than she thought was possible and she opened her arms for the hug she knew was coming.

Remus wrapped both his arms around her in a hug that felt like home. She buried her face into his shoulder and squeezed him as tight as she could with her weakened muscles.

He smelt like books, ink, and chocolate and Ana couldn't help the tears that welled up in her eyes. Their laughter died down and Remus pulled away and perched on the edge of her bed.

"Ana." He breathed out her name with so much relief and awe that the tears that she was holding back fell.

He gripped her arm and she let out a watery laugh and wiped her eyes again.

"I'm sorry it's just crazy to see you after all this time."

Remus gave her an understanding smile, "I know it must be a shock waking up to realize how much time had passed."

Ana froze, "Did the Healers not tell you anything when they owled you?"

Remus shook his head, "Is everything alright? Are you doing well?"

Ana sighed slightly and knew he was going to feel guilty. "Well while my body was in a coma for so long, my mind has been aware for a long time before I woke up."

Remus stood up and ran his hand across his jaw. Ana huffed, "Remus it isn't that big of a deal, please sit back down."

He shook his head, "How long, Ana?"

"Remus, please, just sit-" Remus cut her off.

"How long, Ana?"

Ana let out a deep breath, "I heard you when you told me about Alice and Frank, and when you said you had to leave for a while."

Remus stopped pacing immediately and slumped into the chair next to her bed. He put his head into his hands and while once she had felt hurt and angry at his lack of visits over the year, she no longer could be angry at the man who was clearly upset.

He looked up at her with wide eyes and shook his head, "Ana you have to know I would've never left if I knew."

Ana nodded, "Remus of course I know that. No one knew, not even the Healers. Please don't feel badly, I couldn't even imagine how you felt."

Remus stood again, "It's no excuse, I should've been here for you."

"Remus, please come sit with me, I want to hear about everything you've been doing over the years."

He hesitated and Ana crossed her arms, "Professor Remus John Lupin, if you don't get your arse over here I will hex you."

He finally chuckled a bit and raised an eyebrow. "Oh you're going to hex me? That might be hard to do considering you don't have your wand."

Ana narrowed her eyes at the entirely too smug look on his face. "How would you know?"

Remus grinned and reached into his jacket, pulling out a 11 1/2 inch Vinewood wand with a dragon heartstring core. Ana gasped and immediately held her hands out.

Remus sat on her bed once more and set the wand gently into her waiting hands. Ana felt a jolt of magic rush through her and she laughed at the relief of holding her wand once more.

"I thought that it was lost forever and I'd have to get a new one."

"Moody gave it to me after that night. I've had it ever since."

Ana kept her grip on it but didn't attempt any spells, knowing she wasn't near strong enough for it yet.

"So, Professor Moony?"

A smile overtook Remus's face and Ana could tell just how happy he was with teaching.

"Yes, Albus offered me the position and I couldn't pass it up."

Remus had struggled with employment after Hogwarts, no one wanting to hire a werewolf. Ana knew that a steady paying job was one of the best things to happen to him.

"I'd bet my whole Gringott's vault that it's the Defense position."

Remus grinned, "Of course. It's the only position that's always open every year."

"God's, do you remember some of the professors we got stuck with?"

Remus laughed and shook his head, "I think that the worst one was Professor Killian."

Ana groaned and leaned back, "He had to be the thickest Professor ever to grace the halls of Hogwarts."

Remus hummed in agreement, "Remember when he accidentally hexed his own arse?"

Ana let out a loud laugh and nodded, "Poor Lily was about to have an aneurysm when he was out three week before our OWLs."

The mood was light and Remus and Ana were both in high spirits due to being reunited. However Ana knew that she was about to ruin it with the questions she had on her mind.

Remus noticed her shift in mood and he gave her a small knowing smile. "Ana go ahead and ask. I can see you want to know some things."

Ana sighed, "I have a million things on my mind, but mostly I want to know about Harry."

Remus smiled and nodded. "I was honestly surprised that you waited so long to ask." He chuckled and leaned forward. "Harry is a very bright boy. He is kind and he has a penchant for trouble much like James did."

Ana felt ridiculous as tears dripped down her cheeks again, but she smiled widely. "Minerva once said he looks just like Jamie except for-"

"Lily's eyes." Remus interrupted. "Yes, he has her eyes exactly. He has two best friends, Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley."

Ana beamed, "Oh Molly and her boys. I never saw much of Ronald. I do remember he was such a cute baby."

Remus chuckled, "I'm sure Harry would love to hear your stories. You know Percy is head boy, he is very smart. Fred and George are also quite the pranksters."

Ana beamed, "Oh I bet Molly loves that. Everyone is so old now, I knew they would be but seeing you and hearing about Harry when my only memories of him were of him as a baby. Learning to walk and talk, riding his training broom."

Remus nodded, "I can't imagine, but I'm just happy you're here now and awake. Harry was too when I told him this morning"

Ana gripped her blankets, "I wasn't sure if anyone even told him who I was."

"Molly mentioned you a couple times he said, and Hagrid gave him a photo album in his first year with pictures of James, Lily, and there were a couple of you."

Ana wiped her eyes, "He's been with the Dursley's for so long. Petunia was horrid when we met her. I was worried how he would be after growing up with her."

Remus sighed, "He hasn't really talked about his home life but I know that he was so excited about having someone else."

Ana crossed her arms, "He is coming to live with me, as soon as I'm out of here. He will never go back to Petunia as long as I have any say in it."

Remus nodded, "Are you going back to Potter Manor?"

Ana sighed. "I don't even know what's become of it after all these years. I want to go back though. Harry would probably enjoy seeing where we grew up. Jamie's room still has some of his old things in it."

Remus sighed "I never went back. Everything is exactly how I left it the night that-" Remus trailed off and Ana huffed.

"Oh the night that Bellatrix, Crouch Jr, and the creep Lestrange brothers all decided to torture me so much that my body shut down for twelve years."

Remus stared at her with a pained look on his face and Ana rubbed her face, "Sorry that was a bit much."

Remus cleared his throat, "Only a tad bit."

"We have so much to talk about, Remus, and it's all painful. My mind has been even more out of sorts since hearing about Black."

Remus's face darkened and he sat back in his chair. "They'll catch him, and if I see him before they do then I'll kill him."

The words coming from Remus's mouth we're almost uncharacteristic of Remus, but Ana knew that she would so the same thing. Remus stood and Ana frowned at how stressed he look.

"Ana I have to tell you something but you can't overreact. I want you to know that I'm looking out for Harry and the castle has more security than it ever has."

Ana frowned and nodded even though his words instantly put her on edge.

"Last night during the Halloween feast, Sirius somehow managed to get into the castle. He slashed the portrait in front of the Gryffindor Common Room when he was denied entrance."

Ana exploded, "WHAT!" Ana instantly threw her blankets off and swung her legs over the edge of the bed. Adrenaline was flowing through he veins and her only thought was she had to get to Hogwarts and to Harry.

Remus rushed over just as Ana tried to stand. Her legs buckled and before she could grab on to anything she was falling. The only thing that saved her from hitting the ground was Remus's arms that wrapped around her.

They sank down to the floor as Ana broke down in tears. She cried for her brother and for Lily, she cried because even though Sirius had betrayed them so long ago it still hurt, she cried for Peter who never should've went after Sirius in the first place, and she cried for Harry who was in more danger now than he had ever been since he was a baby.

Remus rubbed her back and was whispering words of reassurance.

"He can't hurt him, Remus. I won't let him take Harry away from me too."

Remus sighed, "He won't, Ana. We won't let him."

They sat on the ground for another few minutes while Ana gathered herself. Remus slowly stood, picking up Ana and setting her back on the bed.

Ana wiped her eyes and chuckled, "I'm sorry I'm such a blubbering mess."

Remus smiled, "I would wonder if you weren't. It's been a lot to take in I'm sure. I do have something that might make you feel better."

Remus dug into his coat and pulled out a neatly tied letter. "This is from Harry. He couldn't leave the castle but I did have him write a letter."

Ana brightened as she held her hand out. It was a bit heavy and Ana grinned. She looked up at Remus who was already unshrinking parchment, an inkwell, and a quill.

"I figured you might want to write him back."

Ana smiled and nodded. She unrolled the parchment and began to read the cramped and messy handwriting.

Dear Aunt Ana,

I suppose it's a bit odd to write that, considering the only Aunt I've ever known is Aunt Petunia, however it feels right. I've wondered about you since I first found out you existed in my first year. I'm not quite sure what to say to you but my friend Hermione says I should just ask whatever I want to know and tell you about myself as well. So I guess I'll ask do you like Quiddich? Have you ever played? What were my parents like in school? My grandparents? How was it growing up with magic? What was your favorite class in Hogwarts? I have so many more questions to ask but I don't want to ask too much at once. I'm a seeker on the Gryffindor Quiddich team, I have been since my first year. I love flying, it's something I never knew was possible until I came to Hogwarts. Magic still seems unreal at times. I always knew I was different when I was growing up and when I found out about magic everything finally made sense. It was odd when everyone seemed to know who I was, Hagrid was the one who finally explained why. I really like Defense Against the Dark Arts, Professor Lupin is probably the best professor we have ever had. He's brilliant and I'm already learning a lot so far. The Dementors outside of Hogwarts seem to affect me more than others and I was wondering if you maybe knew why? I was going to ask Professor Lupin but now that you're awake, I figured I could ask you instead. We have a match against Hufflepuff coming up and our Captain and Keeper; Oliver Wood, has us practicing all the time. We hope to win the cup this year. Ron's brother's Fred and George are on the team as beaters. They're really good and have saved me from a few bludgers over the years. Mrs. Weasley mentioned once she knew you and I was wondering how you both met? I've added a picture my friend Hermione gave me. I hope that you can write me back soon and that you get better. I can't wait to meet you.

Harry

The picture was of Harry and a red haired boy with their arms thrown over the shoulders of a girl with bushy brown hair and slightly too large front teeth. They were smiling and laughing. Harry really did look like his dad and Ana smiled at his round glasses. James had horrible eyesight too.

Ana looked up and Remus was patiently watching her. She gripped the letter even tighter and smiled.

"It seems that he is as curious as Lily was and as chatty as James."

Remus smiled, "He is actually a bit shy, I suspect that he has just had so many questions over the years and he is glad to have someone who can answer them the best."

Ana nodded and grabbed the parchment, ink, and quill Remus was holding out.

"I'll give him your letter tonight when I get back to the castle. It's almost dinner time anyways."

Dear Harry,

Your letter has been the best thing I've seen since I've woken up. I imagine you have more questions than you can fit onto a piece of parchment but I'll start by answering the ones you've asked. I do like Quiddich, in fact I was a chaser on the Gryffindor team in my Fifth through Seventh year. Your father was also a chaser and he was the Quiddich Captain in his Sixth and Seventh year. Your parents were some of the best people I ever knew. Jamie and I were best friends and twins as you probably know by now. Even in Hogwarts we remained close. Your mother became my friend in our First year and she was bright and beautiful. She couldn't stand your dad at first but he was persistent. They finally got together in our seventh year, when your dad was Head Boy and your mum was Head Girl. Jamie and I both favored Transfiguration and Lily was a dab hand at potions. As for your Grandparents, they were lovely. Euphemia Potter, your Grandmother, was fierce and she always gave the best advice. Fleamont Potter, your Grandfather, was a Potioneer. He actually created Sleekeazy's Hair Potion. He was fantastic at dueling, he always said it was because he had such an unique name and kids picked on him for it so he had to be. Our home was always warm and welcoming and during holidays it was always filled with our friends as well, something I hope I can recreate for you when I'm better. As for the Dementors, they are quite foul creatures. They feed off of happiness and I suspect they might affect you more than others because you have experienced more horrible things than most in your short life. There is a charm that helps in repelling them, maybe Professor Lupin would be willing to teach you. It's quite advanced but if anyone could do it, I bet it would be you. I hope your match goes well, I'll be rooting for you from St. Mungos, even after all these years I maintain my Gryffindor pride. I met Molly Weasley when I was fresh out of Hogwarts. I knew her older brothers and we just hit it off. Her and Arthur are wonderful people and I can't tell you how happy I am that you know her boys. She was always there with a warm meal and a welcoming embrace when I needed it. I want you to know that I'm trying very hard to get better so I can get out of here. If it's before holidays I wanted to talk to you about coming to stay with me. I'm not sure what it's like to live at Petunia's but I would love to have you and make up on all the lost time. We have so much to catch up on, I really want us to get to know each other like we should have been able to do all these years. Please write me again with any other questions you may have, I'm excited to get to know you. I know I might still be a stranger to you but you aren't one to me.

Love,

Aunt Ana

Ana finished her letter and handed it to Remus. He raised an eyebrow at the length and she huffed.

"We have as much to catch up on as you and I do."

Remus chuckled and tucked it away as he stood.

"I have to get back, but I'll come back next weekend."

Ana signed and held her arms open. Remus hugged her tightly and Ana gripped his arms.

"I love you Remus. You're my best friend. Please take care of my nephew and of yourself."

Remus smiled as he pulled away. "I love you too, Tails. I'm glad you're back."

Ana grinned and shooed him. "Ok go back to the Castle, Professor Moony. I'm sure a brilliant dinner awaits."

Remus chucked and gave a small wave as he left the room.

Ana fell back onto her pillows as she reread Harry's letter to her. She was counting the days until she could see him in person and talk to him instead of write letters. If he would come live with her then she would make Potter Manor the bright and safe place that it used to be for her and Jamie. Maybe she could even show him some of her happy memories she had with his parents.

In the back of her mind she was still worried but she didn't linger on any bitter thoughts. She had to get better and get out.

With only thoughts of Harry in her mind she fell into a deep and dreamless sleep.
