Hello!

ENJOY!
An alarm started ringing. Doctor Windsor looked around us, away from the microscope. I put my black leather coat back on and jumped on my feet.
"It was only a matter of time before this place was discovered," he told me idly, starting to put his research aside. I nodded and grabbed my katana, putting them in my back.
They were made of adamantium, courtesy of Director Colcord. Underneath my coat I had a black kevlar sleeveless crop top that covered my neck and black high-waist leather pants with black boots.
"X-17." I looked at the Doctor when he said my name.
It was...not really a name, but it was me. Neverland was a Weapon X Facility and they were experimenting on mutants, my kind. I had been immediately taken by Doctor Windsor upon my arrival. I did not know when it was but…
I shot the chair and electrical devices around it a look, distractedly rubbing a temple. People...people outside were flawed and fighting the wrong fight but apparently, they were convincing. They were using the chair to make sure we weren't corrupted.
I knew I had been in it several times. I had to be 'purged' when I arrived and there was a lot to purge.
I looked back at the doctor. He was tall and had a harsh face framed by slicked-back black hair. He said I was different from the others and I helped him help prisoners escape. He said he took them to a safe place and I believed him. He told me my mutant DNA was one of a kind and might be the key to a new scientific discovery that could be our salvation.
I trusted him. Weapon X's ways were not the solution, but Doctor Windsor...he was helping our kind.
"We're leaving," he said and I nodded.
"I'll clear the way," I informed him, taking my katana.
Guards were running around like headless chickens. I raised my hand, the black energy swirling above it, the smallest specks of red in it. The force field was down.
"X-17, go to the…" Blood spluttered from his mouth onto my face when I stabbed him in the chest. He was a regular worker here, a scientist. I wiped the blood from my face.
"Scan the facility to see who's here." I nodded and did.
"X-Men." I frowned. The voices...they were familiar. There was one that seemed more...recent than the others, a woman. A regular woman. "A regular woman."
"She's no regular woman, she must have been the one to take down the force field, so she got inside. Impressive."
I killed people who'd get in our way and we exited the building. The towers had been destroyed by lightnings. I made a platform and took off to have a better view. The north and east parts of the facility were occupied and the west one, the one we were at, was being occupied. I made my platform vanished and landed smoothly on the ground in spite of being several feet up in the air.
"We need to leave through the South part of the facility." He nodded.
We headed there but we were shot. I used telekinesis to stop the bullets. They fell on the ground and I spun around. There was a red-haired woman next to a child or young teen, her guns aimed at us. She lowered them a little and her green eyes never left me.
"Carter," she said. I twirled my swords in my hands, walking to her. "You don't recognize me."
"You're an enemy," I told her coldly. There was a brief flash of something in her eyes but it vanished to be replaced by resignation.
It was the one known as Leech next to her. I needed to get her away from him.
We engaged in a fight, a physical one as my powers were useless as long as she was close to the kid. I had been trained in hand-to-hand combat. Yet, she saw all of my blows coming and blocked them, turning them against me.
I grunted when my back harshly met the cold ground and electricity cursed through my body from the weapon she had at her wrist.
"You won't beat me with just hand-to-hand Addison," she stated firmly.
"Who the hell are you talking about!?" I roared, grabbing a fistful of her red hair and throwing her on the ground next to me.
I grabbed a katana and tried to stab her, but she stopped me. She used her legs to immobilize me and sent electricity in my arm, making it numb. I dropped my weapon. However, we were far from Leech.
I pushed her away with telekinesis and forced her electric weapon against herself. She groaned and I stood up, jumping in the truck Doctor Windsor had stolen. We left the facility. I looked out from my window. There were smoke and lights. However, Weapon X wasn't doing things the right way.
"Where are we going?" I asked him after a few minutes.
"My personal facility." I frowned slightly. A fac…
I didn't have the time to ask that the truck was hit by a bomb and the vehicle left the road to go down a hill, crashing in a rock at the bottom. I was so stunned by the blow I didn't feel coming that I couldn't stop our truck. I forced the door opened and left the vehicle, coughing in my elbow because of the smoke of the engine.
"Doctor!" I yelled, squinting to see him. He was unconscious against the wheel. "Doc…" The truck blew up and I was sent flying meters away. I landed harshly on the ground, ash covering me.
I raised my head from the dead leaves on the ground. Paling when I realized the truck was now on fire, I started to shake my head.
"No, please no, Doctor Windsor!" My eyes were wide in horror, dread and anguish growing inside of me. I tried to move closer but the flames wouldn't stop.
"Addison." Tears were streaming down my face. I looked to my left. Two men with robot suits were there. The red one removed his helmet, letting me see a man in his forties with black hair and a goatee. "It's okay, we're here now, it's over." I gritted my teeth, watching a red man with a cape landing next to me, another one running to them.
There was also a man in a red suit, a girl with a white strand of hair and a man with blue fur.
"You did this!" I accused him, yelling. "You killed him!"
"Do you have any idea who that man was?"
"He was hope!"
"Addie…" the man with silver hair said.
"I don't know who you are talking about!"
"That's what Natasha said, she doesn't remember anything Tony," the silver robot said. The man with the red suit pursed his lips and stepped forward.
"Addison, I know you're...confused right now but…"
"Stay...BACK!"
Dark matter appeared all around me as I screamed, spiraling around me. It went up in the sky. It felt...it almost felt good. It was like all of this power had been contained for a long time and that I had finally decided to let it loose.
"Get back or you'll get turned into dark matter!" I looked down. The ground was black.
I screamed louder, black energy appearing beneath the skin of my hands. Everything around suddenly felt malleable, like I could just use it as if it was my own.
After a few seconds, I felt like a wall against my dark matter. I put more strength into and felt my matter starting to break through the wall, but a hand was suddenly on my face.
Everything disappeared, like my energy. I looked back to see the woman with a lock of white hair, staring at me with pursed lips. I fell forward, completely drained.
"What the hell was that?" I heard one of them ask.
"Obviously, she was refraining herself from using all of her powers," another replied thoughtfully. "We're taking her. Someone grab Pietro too, he's drained because Rogue stole his powers."
"No...no…" I mumbled as I felt hands on me.
"It's alright Addidi, it's alright, I got you…"
"Don't...don't touch...please don't…"
I never minded Doctor Windsor's experimentation, but I knew anyone else would treat me like a lab rat. I didn't...I couldn't…
"I SAID NO!" I yelled, pushing everyone away.
"Okay, there's definitely like a lock that was opened regarding her powers Tony!"
I jumped on my feet and ran away, as far as I could. I knew the two flying robots were following me from above and the blue one was literally in the trees above me, using the branches to move.
I sped up when I saw a cliff and jumped. I took a deep breath as I was in the air and bit the inside of my cheek to keep myself from screaming when I started to fall toward the snow-covered ground feets below me. My body went through branches and I grunted in pain. As I saw the ground coming fast toward me, I created a cloud of dark matter to break my fall.
I started running again without knowing where. I just wanted to get away from these people who kept calling me 'Addison'. I didn't know any Addison, I was X-17. Who were these people?
"Please stop running." The flying one with a cape said as he floated above me. I came to an abrupt stop, almost tripping over my own two feet. "We are not your enemies Addison."
"Stop calling me that!"
"But that is your name, just like mine is Vision." I shook my head.
"I don't know any of you."
"They wiped your memory, maybe the same way they did with Sergeant Barnes for decades."
"Sergeant Barnes? Who's that?" I replied.
"Someone you helped in the past. Someone you care about a lot." I licked my lips.
"Well even if it's true, I don't anymore. They used the chair to purge us from believing humans. They can't be trusted."
"I am not human." I blinked and frowned.
"Same for whatever you are."
"Miss Carter, do you really believe that man was hope?"
"Of course!"
"Did you know his name was Nathaniel Essex?" I blinked.
"That's stupid, he was Doctor Windsor. You've got the wrong guy."
"I...have the right guy. You have been in Neverland for three months. You've resisted the treatments and tried to fight back for a month."
"That...that is not true, I wouldn't fight ba…"
"Do you remember anything before the camp?" I gulped. "Do you know anything about yourself?"
"I don't need useless in…"
"These information are what give you a motivation, a goal. What is your goal?"
"I don't...We are used for the good of mutant kind."
"As weapons." I snarled at him.
"Shut. Up!" I sent dark matter at him and he stopped it with a beam of energy coming from his forehead.
With one hand, I sent him away and started running again.
Nathaniel Essex? Who was that? No, I knew Doctor Windsor, he was fighting for our rights and…
No, they were talking ill of a dead man, what kind of person would do that?
I ran until stars appeared in the night sky. I rubbed my hands together to warm me up, frosted air coming out of my mouth.
I looked up when I saw a light. I hurried toward it and widened my eyes. It was...another facility. It was smaller than Neverland and in two buildings but…I jumped above the fence.
It was called the Centre for Homosuperior Research and MedicalCare. I…
I scanned the area and bit my bottom lip when I heard...things. I heard things but they were like coded of something, I couldn't understand them. I still followed them. I took my katanas as I didn't see anyone on my way. It was strange, yet I kept walking. It was almost as if someone was pulling me somewhere.
I stopped when I reached a white room. There were...tube filled with a greenish liquid. Inside were...people. They were actual people, like at Neverland. I got closer to one and put my hand on the glass, leaning against it to have a closer look.
I knew him.
I helped Doctor Windsor…
"Ah, you're finally here. I almost waited." I spun around at the voice.
"Doc...Doctor Windsor?" He nodded, walking toward me casually. "I saw you die in that explosion!"
"Oh that, it's nothing I cannot handle, and if it had come to worst, I would have sent my mind into a clone of mind." I frowned.
"A clone? I don't…" He put his hand on my head.
"I am going to explain everything." I blinked and grabbed his wrist with both my hands when he started to choke me, lifting me up with ease. He looked at me from all the angles he could reach. "Hum, you don't seem too damaged, I would have hated for the Avengers to damage my subject." I tried to kick him.
"You...you…" I tried to shove him with my powers, but nothing. I widened my eyes.
"I blocked your power," he told me. He threw me in the wall and I felt blood run down my head. "Not that you would have done much."
He...changed in front of my eyes. I widened them in horror. His skin turned very pale and his eyes turned red as an orange diamond-shaped gem appeared in his forehead. He tilted his head to the left, then the right, making his neck crack.
"That's much better." He lifted me with telekinesis, blocking my movements and took me to a different room.
There, he placed me in a chair and tied me up.
"You have been very interesting to study X-17, ever since Victor brought me your blood I've been interested in you." I was struggling to keep my eyes opened. "Of course, I started experimenting before you were completely wiped. HYDRA did have a way with brains. As a telepath, electric shocks to the brain are the way to weaken the mental shield you have. Once it was weak enough, it was enough for me to do the rest of the job myself and have Weapon X believe they had you under their control."
"Who are you?" I whispered.
"I forgot to introduce myself. I am Mister Sinister." He grinned. It was...evil. He was glad to have me like this. "You have been after me for a while now. Before Neverland that is."
"They were saying the truth…" I realized, thinking back about how these people were talking to me.
"The Avengers you mean? Yes, they knew you." He went to his computer and a video appeared on the screen. I squinted and paled.
It...the woman, it was me. I was forced and tied in the electric chair, having knocked two men unconscious. They injected me something.
"A suppressant for your powers," the shaved-head man said with a thick British accent.
"Suck a cock Francis," I replied with venom in my voice. The man placed the two part of the electric device on my temples before putting something in my mouth. He grabbed my chin.
"You have Wade's potty mouth love, we need to fix this."
Then I screamed. I watched numbly my past self being electrocuted, tears running down her cheeks. The screams lasted for a few minutes until Francis removed the thing I had in my mouth.
"So, what's your name?"
"Addison Carter you bloody asshole," I replied angrily with a British accent.
"Wrong answer." They did it again, and again.
Sinister stopped the video.
"What...what do you want?"
"The perfect mutant." I furrowed my brows. "I have been around for more than a hundred and fifty years. I predicted how mutants would emerge one day and I have been following their evolution. Then, when WW2 began, I started working with the Nazis, they were giving me as much samples as I wanted. At least until 1945 when Captain America raided my laboratory when I was not here. Some...American took my research and they started the Weapon Plus Program, then Weapon X. It's only normal I took back some of the profit. I kept doing my own personal research on the side of course. Darkmoor was...interesting, but things were hidden from me before I could see them. I thought it was nothing until you appeared in Darkmoor."
He put his hands on the armrests of the seat, leaning his face toward mine. I was shaking, not able to look at him in the eyes. His red, pupil-less eyes.
"Your mutation has started to evolve again, I wanted to know why. Had I finally found a new thing to explore? I've taken blood samples since you got there, tissue, hair, I've studied everything about your body. Your X-gene is evolving and so is your...resistance. Your body is stronger than average, not like a Super Soldier but more than an average human and then you use your powers to increase this resistance. You somehow countered every torture we put your through. After a lot of studies, I determined these changes started three years and a half ago. In London, during the Convergence." He moved back. "The power there was there and the one briefly located in Darkmoor in the nineties...I didn't think it was important, but thinking back on it, if a mutant is impacted by a cosmic power, of course their powers would evolve." He looked at me with interest. "I wanted to see how far this would go, so with a few things injected, I made sure your powers would evolve quicker." I gulped.
"I trusted you," I mumbled with disgust.
"I know. Once weak enough, I used your principles against you. I said what you needed to hear to agree to work for me." He snickered. "You've helped me fill that place with test subjects and on your own free will!"
"I believed you! I thought...I thought…"
"That's something the Winter Soldier couldn't do. Of course, I also...altered your mind, just in the slightest to make sure you would see humans as all the same and enemies. It allowed me to have a closer look at your powers." He started pacing. "Telepathy: mind reading, localization upon a big area and telepathic shield. Telekinesis: upon objects, energy and human body. Can lift a few tons. Then, we have your unique ability to manipulate dark matter. Construct, solidification and generation. You pull dark matter from around us and condensate it enough for it to turn into something visible. Not only that, you somehow change regular matter into dark matter. It...it is brilliant, dangerous. Do you know what dark matter is?" I shook my head. "It is what separates dimensions." I blinked. "Dark matter is what keeps the fabric of our reality and the fabric of another one from merging and colliding. It is what can lead to gravity manipulation, creating wormholes and such. You could tear down the fabric of our reality and leave it at the mercy of some unknown powers lurking in another dimension if you truly let loose. You're an Omega Mutant, or will be soon." He patted my cheek. "I thought it wouldn't get more interesting than Jean Grey or the Summers blood line, but you proved me wrong. And from the files I obtained from that dear old Strucker, you're not the only one, are you? The Maximoff twins, they have the X-gene but the mutation was triggered by HYDRA. I'll need to go through your head to learn more about the energy used on them but...it's nothing I will not enjoy."
We were interrupted by an explosion. Sinister walked away and left the room, muttering curses about being disturbed while working. Once he was gone, I shook my head to clear my thoughts and wake me up before pulling on my restrains. It was...too tight.
"Hey there." I raised my head in a flash, wide eyes staring at the browned-haired man with red eyes standing there. His brown trench coat was...standing out. With him was a woman with purple hair and eyes, a shield in her hand.
"Who...who…"
"Ivanov," the man started firmly. I blinked. "Sokovia. England. Germany. Mutant Town." I blinked again.
The words...they were...I knew them. They meant something. It was stirring something deep in my memory.
"Do you think they're still there?" he asked the woman.
"Professor Xavier placed these triggers there and from what he told me, when they started to wipe out her memory she unconsciously buried them deeper."
"I know but Sinister…" The woman pursed her lips.
"I know you," I told them weakly. They looked at me and I gulped, licking my dry lips. "Or...or you know me, I know the words, they're...they're important regarding who I am. Only…only someone I know and trust would know these words." I took a deep breath. "My...my name is Addison, isn't it?"
"Yes, it is," the woman confirmed as the man placed his finger on the restrain around my wrist. It blew up a few seconds later without hurting me.
He did the same on the other side until I was free to move. He caught me when I started to fall forward once up.
"I don't remember...only that you're allies…" I mumbled against the man.
"It will have to do for now. Psylocke, we need to get out of this place." She handed me the shield and I took it with confusion.
"You can't use your power, so at least you'll be able to protect yourself." I nodded and followed them.
"It's lighter than expected."
"It's vibranium." As we were in the hallway, I stopped at the window. There was fire outside and people flying in the air. "Okay, they started, we really need to leave."
"And go where?" We froze at the voice. Turning around, I raised the shield quick enough for it to block the blast coming my way. I was sent through the window and landed harshly on the ground.
Or at least I thought so, because red magic was around me, keeping me in the air. I saw my allies being sent out of the building as well but spider webs caught them as I was put down softly on the ground. I looked behind me, blinking at the red-hair with glowing red eyes. She knelt in front of me when her eyes were back to being pale green.
"Are you alright?" She had an accent, yet it seemed lighter than befor…
Before?
"I know you," I whispered. "I don't remember you, but I...I know you, don't I?" She pursed her lips.
"Yes. We're friends, at least I think we still are. Your powers…"
"They're blocked." She nodded and red lights appeared at the tip of her fingers. She raised a hand to her head, seemingly looking for something.
"Doctor Grey…she found me and taught me how to do this, in case. She said I had the potential. I can unlock your powers, I think." I furrowed my brows. "Do you trust me with your mind?" I stared at her for a few seconds, but hearing a yell of pain made me nod. "Okay. I can...I swear I can do this."
She took a deep breath and reached her other hand to my head. I gritted my teeth when I felt her powers made their way in my mind, the uncomfortable feeling of familiarity being there. The woman grimaced and frowned, apparently struggling and I hissed when I felt her poking something inside my brain.
"It's going to hurt, I'm sorry."
"Wha…" I grabbed my head when she basically ripped something off. I leaned forward, my hands on my head. "It hurts!"
"Can you hear me?" I looked up at her. She had not...spoken out loud, and a small smile appeared on her lips. "Good."
"Miss Wanda!" a young boy said and someone landed next to her. He seemed young and...his suit resembled a spider. "Sorry, but we're being beaten quite brutally so if you could give us a hand…"
"Of course." She looked to our right. "Stark is still busy?"
"Yes, it seems he was building an army or something of genetically modified mutants. Mister Wolverine arrived to give us a hand and Deadpool is busy with Ajax and…"
"Is there one more threatening than the others?" He looked down at me.
"Yes actually!"
"Try...try telepathy. Can you disturb them...Wanda, was it?" She nodded. "Then go."
"But Sinister…" I took the shield. The...sticker on it was half torn apart. I removed it completely, letting me see the shining colors under the moonlight.
I got up.
"I'll handle it," I told her, the shield on my arm. She looked unsure. "As soon as you guys can, dispatch some backup for us, we'll need it."
"Alright, don't die." She flew away. I looked at the spider.
"Come on Spidey." We ran away.
"Do you remember me or Germany!?" he asked me while we were running.
"No, but I know that Sinister has to go down!"
The man with explosion was on his knees, his club broken in two. The woman was behind him, her face against the ground. The katana of purple energy by her side was wavering. Sinister, now with a long black cape that went well with his black...suit, stretched out his hand. The man started to choke.
I threw the shield to Sinister's arm. It hit it and went back to me. I caught it easily, almost as if I...I had learned how to do that before.
"I guess I'll have to take my guinea pig back," he said idly, looking at me.
"Move!" the man said but he was thrown through the wall of the other building, the woman going with him.
Sinister stretched out his hand toward us and sent a blast of...energy. The only thing I could see was like the air being distorted and coming toward us very fast.
I stretched out my hand and the distorted air turned into black sand. I locked eyes with Sinister and grinned, sending his attack back at him with the same strength. He flew back, sure. But apart from that, he was intact, not even a scratch.
"Wait, it sent them through the wall, it was powerful, wasn't it?" Spider asked me, looking between me and Sinister.
"Obviously he's stronger than that, enhanced physiology or something."
"Oh great." I widened my eyes when a man in a red suit jumped toward him, katanas ready to strike. Sinister stopped him and twisted his whole body in various angles in a sinister sound.
I hid Spidey's eyes by reflex, anger rising quickly in me. The man...I knew him. Seeing him beaten to the ground like that...it pissed me off.
I deflected the various attacks he threw at us, Spidey swinging around to try to get an opening. Sinister would try to attack him but he was good enough to dodge or handle the things thrown his way. Earlier, I felt like dark matter was poking something. Sinister said I could tear down the fabric of reality. It was what I must have felt.
I continued my attacks, but seeing the guy in red getting back up, I freed one of my hand to make a small spike of dark matter near Sinister. I took a deep breath and focus on the dark matter itself and not what I wanted it to be.
I blinked when it suddenly felt...different, almost...heavier, like it was more real in a sense? I looked down at my hand. Black energy was visible beneath my skin once more. I gritted my teeth and thrust the dark matter in the air. I squinted when I saw it poking the air, again and again until it disappeared.
I could still feel it though, circling around Sinister.
I covered the shield in dark matter and threw it, making it vanish. It reappeared near Sinister and hit it, bouncing off him and vanishing again.
"That's new!" the guy in red exclaimed.
"Keep attacking!"
At some point, Sinister caught the shield with a sneer, various cuts on his body. I shoved the shield in him, the dark matter over it protecting it from the blood when the top halves of his hands were sliced off. I called it back in my hand as I ran to Sinister and hit him with it.
"Oh God his hands!"
"I wouldn't worry about this if I were you!" I told Spidey. I shoved dark matter in the open wounds when I realized he was starting to heal.
"He's as hard to kill as me I bet," guy in red said.
Sinister kicked me. I used the shield to protect myself, but he was incredibly strong and he sent me flying in the air. I cursed, letting a blast of dark matter escaping from my hand.
It stabilized me enough to land properly. Huh, maybe I could fly.
"Whatever you gave me to make my powers evolve faster," I told Sinister, "you shouldn't have."
"Trust me, it is very informative." I widened my eyes when he targeted Spidey with a side of the building.
Literally a side, there were metallic bars coming from the concrete. I ran toward him, attempting to stop them but Sinister still had his hold on them. It was stronger than mine.
"Parker move!" the red guy yelled.
"Oh God, I know!" I pushed him away with telekinesis far, far away, sending the shield with him to give him as much protection as needed.
I attempted to stop the incoming but only slowed it down. I just had the time to see the red guy jumping on me and pining me to the ground, obviously using his body to shield me, that it crashed on us. There was a loud noise and dust everywhere. I managed to move some ruble to keep us from being crushed but…
I looked down at my torso. There was two metal bars piercing the red guy's chest. They were piercing my chest as well. Well, one was above my right breast, the other in the stomach.
"No, no, no…" he repeated frantically as I coughed up blood. "Come on Wade, you could have thought about a better plan! Stupid author!"
"You're...a weird one," I mumbled to him, pain erupting in my whole body.
"It's...it's gonna be okay Addie, I swear it's going to be okay!" I looked to the side. Sinister was up and had a sadistic grin on his face.
Dark matter was still in his wounds though. With the little strength I still had, I stretched out my fingers and spread it to his whole blood stream. His face fell and he grabbed his clothe at his heart and dark matter reached it with vibranium characteristics.
Then, once the heart stopped, I turned the dark matter into spikes that destroyed him completely from the inside, the outside torn apart. My arm fell on the ground.
"Addie? Addison? Shit, stay with me!" His voice sounded more and more distant. I briefly saw red energy lifting the ruble on us before blacking out.
Thank you all for reading! Don't hesitate to leave a review!
