"I'll show you!" Hermione Granger dashes away from one of the many plots of land Hogwarts had that she did not bother to remember at that moment and it was right after she had faced the mischievious, cunning prankster, Harry Potter. The two had been quarrelling for some time, always at each others throats but sadly, Hermione could never keep her mind leveled; even if she was the brightest which of her time. While the infamous Harry Potter was always calm and cool minded (one thing the boy did not inherit from James Potter) but Hermione Granger hated admitting that.

But it did not matter, because Hermione Granger had just found a potion she knew would make her win; win a duel with her rival, Harry Potter.

The prankster had challenged the witch in a calm but challenging manner in one of Hogwarts unnamed patches of land to a duel to see who could be better at anything and everything.

Hermione had come in contact with her nemesis in the field and started cussing the boy out, Harry stayed silent and later delivered casually, "Granger, you're rambling again. How pathetic."

The words immediately shut Hermione's gaping mouth. "There, peace and quiet for once."

Harry said a few seconds after the silence began; he looked around and saw by standers beginning to look at their direction, ignoring them and looking back at Hermione.

"You know what, I'm tired of this. We've been at this for bloody ages, Granger. Why don't we just settle this in the grandest way possible?"

Hermione looked confused, but she showed interest and urged Harry to continue. "Why don't we... duel, Granger?"

With an appalled look on Hermione's face, she replied, "What? No! That– that's just illegal Harry!"

"So you'd be willing to step down and say I am indeed the best in everything, Hermione?" A smug look formulated on Harry's face.

"Of course not, dimwit! I'll show you!" And Hermione Granger had walked away.

That was 6 months ago, at the start of a new term in their sixth year; though shortly after the incident, she had discovered a potion called 'Felix Felicis', commonly known as 'Liquid Luck' a potion claiming 'to make the drinker lucky for a period of time, during which everything they attempt will be successful. It turns an ordinary day into an extraordinary one'. Hermione had spent 6 months brewing a batch of the potion so she could finally prove her cunning rival wrong. She could tell she was ready to face Potter one-on-one.

Hermione had given Harry the sign of being ready to start the duel late in the night, and so, the pair had slithered in to their newly discovered battleplace late in the night, the Room of Requirement.

Hermione had entered first, quickly drinking the vile of Liquid Luck she had brought with her and stowing it into her pocket, quickly feeling the rush flowing into every fiber of her body. She felt all the things that the description of a potions book she read come true in a split second. Hermione Granger was more than ready to face Harry Potter.

Harry then entered the room, calm and collected as always. But it felt like Hermione's brain had changed course once Harry had entered her field of vision; like something has stirred in her and it was a feeling she couldn't quite place. It was like she was being warmed and... loved.

"Ready, Granger?" Harry had said in a domineering manner, pulling out his wand. Hermione started to get more and more unsettled as the unknown monster in her chest had started to spread and she lost control of her body, and kissed Harry.

"Brilliant! You never fail to amaze me and make me giddy every time, mum!" The two shared a warm laugh and a few giggles before Harry had opened the door and peeked inside, telling his wife, Hermione and his daughter, Alexis that it was time for bed. After tucking Alexis in, Hermione went out of the girl's room, closing the door and was promptly enveloped in Harry's arms.

"Told her the story of us again?" Harry in a low, calming voice, swaying the both of them gently.

"Mhm, she never gets tired of it." Hermione replies in a sleepy tone.

Harry looks up, Hermione still buried in his neck and tiredly proclaims, "Thank you, Felix Felicis, and I love you, Hermione Granger."

"I love you too, Potter."

The two sway just a little bit and head to bed, tired but happy smiles plastered on their faces.

end.
