Deion grunted as he smashes through the wall of the warehouse, the Sugomin he tackled taking most of the impact. Fighting as GaoBlack he grabbed the Sugomin and lifted it up over his head.
"Gao!" he said, spinning around and tossing it away. Glancing over at the hole he left in the wall he saw Kyle and Crystal, as GaoRed and GaoYellow, fighting against the other two Sugomin, leading them outside. Charging like a bull, he rejoined the fight.
Not long ago they had found three separate Zangyack signatures and split up. Kyle, Deion and Crystal went to one, Daisy and Rachel at another, and Tommy and Sean heading to the third location. So far things had been going well foe Deion and his group, they had quickly found the Zangyack inside of a warehouse and immediately attacked them, changing into Gaoranger when space inside the building began to get tight.
The fight was going well. The gormin had become almost fun to fight, and the Sugomin weren't really a problem anymore. Sure the action commanders could sometimes be difficult, but they always found a way to win.
Deion's mental musing was cut short when a shadow fell over him and the others. And when that happens they have a rule. Drop what you're doing and beat feet.
Running as fast as their Sentai augmented powers allowed them, they were able to avoid the giant foot that came crashing down. The Sugomin and few remaining Gormin weren't so lucky. After sliding almost 15 feet into a stop the three spun around to get a look at their new opposition.
It was an enlarged scorpion monster. That was the only way to describe it. It had a scorpion's pincer claws and signature tail. And it looked ready to attack them.
"We need GokaiOh!" Crystal said.
"We can't use it without Tommy and Crystal." Deion reminded her.
"Never mind that run!" Kyle yelled as they ran to avoid being stepped on, holding his moribites to his helmet as they ran.
"Rachel, we need some help. We've got a giant monster over here." Kyle told her.
"I've got problems of my own, use GokaiOh!" She told him. He could hear sounds of fighting on his end.
"We can't without all five of us. I'll try Sean." He said as the three ducked between some abandoned building to try and hide for a bit, having put plenty of space between the Scorpion monster and themselves.
Dialing Sean's number, Kyle waited anxiously as the loud footsteps got closer. After a few moments, he cursed and closed the moribites.
"Fuck, he won't pick up!" he cursed. Suddenly the Scorpio monster was right behind them, stomping on one of the building, the force of the debris and wind pushing them against the other one.
"It's raising its tail, move!" Crystal said, spurring her teammates into motion. Diving out of the way in the nick of time, they avoided strange green goo which began dissolving the wall and floor where they had just been standing.
"You're kidding me!? Like this guy's attitude isn't bad enough, it's squirting acid at us!" Deion complained.
Before they could attempt to move away from the monster they were attacked by gormin, keeping them in one relative place. As the Scorpio Stinger pointed at them, and was about to fire it's acid when a giant robot hand reached over and grabbed it, pointing it in another direction, preventing them from being doused in the acid bath. The mountain side wasn't so lucky.
"Do I hear $20 for a giant scorpion?" Tommy said as he held on tight as the GokaiRobo's cockpit moved around.
"I'll give you a nickel." Sean said with a grin as Scorpio was tossed into another mountain, destroying it. The mountain, not the monster.
"And the monster is sold to the cheap bastard driving the giant robot." Tommy said. "And what do you plan to do with your new purchase?"
"This.
Gokai Harpoon Torpedo!"
The GokaiRobo finishing attack destroyed the Scorpio in a giant fireball, as the GaoRangers finished the gormin.
"Everyone ok?" Tommy called down to the others.
"We're fine, but Rachel and Daisy said they were having issues." Crystal told him.
"They were, but they finished up just before we got here." Sean said. Kyle dialed the Galleon and they boarded it, rendezvousing with the GoZyuDrill and allowing the pink and silver ranger to join them.
After dinner, the group washed up and went to bed.
XpagebreakX
Sean yawned as he walked into the main room, seeing that Kyle, Daisy, and Rachel were already awake.
"Morning. I was going to wake you up, but since it's not a school day I decided to let you sleep in." Kyle said, going right for the age joke.
"You know, I was talking to me, original me, in the dreamscape last night, and he and I agree on something. You're an asshole." Sean told his captain.
"I probably am, but he doesn't have to deal with you." Kyle said, pouring the women more coffee.
"HE IS ME!" Sean yelled exasperated.
"Sean's got a point." Rachel said having some eggs.
"And thus he doesn't know what it's like to actually interact with you." Kyle said.
"Kyle's got a point. Makes no real sense, but it's a point." Daisy said, sipping her coffee.
"We live on a giant pirate ship, when's the last time something made sense?" Tommy said as he walked into the room.
Just before the blue pirate sat down, sensors began to go off. Cursing, Tommy went over to the console.
"That's odd; I'm detecting some off signals, coming from….miranthious?"
"Isn't that the island we defeated the Psycho Rangers on, and got a slew of new ranger keys?" Deion said walking up.
"Yeah, that was it. I thought that place was leveled."
"I thought it was too, but we're defiantly getting something from where the island was located." Sean said, leaning over and glancing at the console.
"What's the word fearless leader? Do we investigate?" Crystal asked.
"Of course we are. Why wouldn't we?" Kyle asked.
"Because this signal is about as subtle as a tire fire?" Sean pointed out.
"So what's your solution? Not investigate and leave me wondering what it is for the rest of my life? As if." Kyle said heading to the bridge.
XpagebreakX
Rachel and Crystal looked around from the crow's nest as they examined the island as they approached. Rachel handed Crystal the binoculars and allowed the yellow ranger to look through them as she held her Gokai Cellular to her head.
"The AA guns are still destroyed. Doesn't look like the place was even touched after we brought down the house." She told Kyle.
"Well someone's here and whoever it is isn't afraid to let us know." He replied. "We'll dock up ahead and explore the island on foot. Something isn't right about all this."
"Where should we start our search?" Deion asked.
"How about the main facility complex?" suggested Sean.
"Good idea." Said Daisy. Kyle spun the helm, turning the ship and bringing it in line with the edge of shore and dropped anchor before grabbing his jacket and going to meet the others. Once the gokaiger's feet touched the floor they all looked around, trying to visually determine if anything was amiss.
"How far to the facilities?" Crystal asked Sean and Rachel.
"Not that far, like 5 minutes. But should we go straight there or work our way around?" Sean wondered.
"Let's go there. If it's the enemy or something else it'd be best to just deal with it now. We don't have time to play around." Said Kyle, throwing his jacket around his shoulders and sliding it down his arms and walking toward the center of the island. Everyone looked at each other.
"Is he ok?" Rachel asked Daisy.
"I don't know, he's been real fidgety for the last few days." She told them. "I think everything going on with Basco stealing all these powers and Sam's disappearance are starting to get to him."
"I don't doubt it. The guys been going nonstop since everything began. He's always had a hard time asking for help when it counted and he hates being made a fool of." Tommy told them.
"I'm loving this peek into his head, but he's way ahead of us." Rachel pointed out as the jogged over to him. After a short walk they found the complex, still destroyed after Sean and Rachel battled their way through hoards of gormin.
"I don't see anything. It looks like the place is still looks like crap." Sean said as they walked around. But when they heard a noise, everyone spun, pointing their guns at the source of the sound.
"Wait, don't fire!" said a panicky voice. Everyone was shocked to see Walz Gil jump out of a building with his hands up, followed by Daramas and barizorg.
"It's a trap, morph now!" Deion said as they all grabbed their ranger keys.
"Wait wait, we aren't here to fight!" he pleaded. Everyone paused and looked at each other.
"They don't have any weapons drawn. I know this sounds crazy, but I don't think they're here to fight us." Said Crystal.
"We'll see. What do you want?" Kyle demanded, pointing his sword at Gil.
"DeltaVron and OmegaVron have overthrown my father and I, and have seized control of the Zangyack." Gil told them.
"Why should we care? Both factions are trying to destroy Earth, does it matter who we fight?" Daisy questioned.
"We were never trying to destroy Earth, just conquer it." Daramas pointed out.
"What's the difference?" Deion asked.
"The Earth would still be here if it was conquered. It would simply be a territory of the Zangyack Space Empire. But if DeltaVron is left unopposed she will not stop until this planet is a smoldering rock." He told them.
"It doesn't matter to us who we fight. The Vron's have been a hassle since we met them. If they want to hurl the Zangyack at us we'll toss the Sentai right back at them." Rachel says.
"You have to listen; Delta and Omega are both very dangerous. Delta is a genius, capable of creating specialized monsters from raw genetic material and is a master of stratagems. And her brother is even more dangerous. Stronger then Daramas and having incredible amount magical power behind him. His stratagems are even more dangerous than his sisters. Not to mention she's created specialized weapons for the express purpose of destroying you, they've already killed Insarn in no time at all." Gil told them.
"We've been fighting Delta's creatures for weeks now, and they've been kicking our asses." Sean points out. Kyle nodded and looked over to the three.
"Ok you've got our attention. What do you want?" he asked.
"I'm willing to make a deal. Help us defeat Delta and we will leave Earth alone." The former Space commander told them.
"How do you know you'll hold up your end of the bargain? What's to stop you from attacking us after we've done all the heavy lifting?" Deion questioned.
"We won't, I swear on my family's name." Gil replied.
"Such a statement is not easily broken." Daramas told them. "If he forsakes his family name by breaking his promise he will lose a large percentage of support within the Zangyack upper echelon."
The pirate crew glanced at each other.
"I don't think we should trust him. This could just be a trick." Deion said.
"Yeah, if he broke his word who would know?" Sean asked.
"That's irrelevant." Tommy said, not even huddled with the group.
"How do you figure?" Kyle asked.
"Because I think the entire Zangyack armada is here in force." He replied. Indeed the island was suddenly covered in gormin and Sugomin.
"How did all these guys get the jump on us and no one notice?" Sean asked.
"They must have tracked our distress signal same as you did." Gil said to the Gokaiger.
"You didn't bother to hide it?" Crystal asked.
"How were we supposed to get your attention otherwise?" Daramas asked.
"He's got a point." Daisy said.
"Ok, for now, let's say it's in our mutual interest to work together." Kyle said, looking at Walz Gil.
"Indeed, barizorg, Daramas!" Walz Gil said as he and his two bodyguards stood next to the gokaiger.
"Your Excellency, perhaps you should allow us to handle this and step away." Daramas said.
"Nonsense, how can I hope to avenge my family if I do not help in the struggle? Plus there are too many to avoid fighting." Gil pointed out.
"Enough chitchat, let's get moving." Kyle said, holding up his ranger key and sliding it into his moribites, an action mimicked by the others. As one, they initiated the transformation.
Gokai Change: GOOOOKAIGER
The leader of the pirate Sentai stood forward, holding his hand in front of his face and clicking his fingers
"Gokai Red!"
Tommy stepped up next, placing his hand on the top of his helmet, as though adjusting his hat.
"Gokai Blue!"
Crystal joined them, waving her hand briefly in a dismissive motion.
"Gokai yellow!"
Deion smacked his hands together, brushing off his shoulder and flexing his muscles.
"Gokai Green!"
Daisy followed up the roll call, holding her hand in front of her and kneeling briefly.
"Gokai Pink!"
Sean went next by striking a pose with his left arm over his chest and his right arm stretched out with only his thumb, index, and middle fingers pointing out.
"Gokai Black"
Rachel raised her hand up, slowly lowering it before spinning around and spreading her arms in challenge.
"GooooooKaiSilver!"
Straightening at the same time, they tighten the glove on their rights hands, stepping forward and tugging at their collars, showing off the logo of their team before assuming their final pose.
"Kaizoku Sentai: GOKAIGER!"
Walz Gil jumped forward and did his own little posing routine.
Space Commandant: Walz Gil!
Barizorg drew his sword, holding it out in front of him.
"Special Duty Officer: Barizorg!
Daramas simply stood still.
Chief of Staff: Daramas!
"And now for the team-up show no one thought would happen." Kyle said as the gokaiger drew their weapons and the ten charged at the vast hoard of enemies.
Crystal, Tommy, and Sean fought alongside Barizorg, the four using their sword talents to lay waste to dozens of gormin in no time.
"You're not too bad at this big guy." Crystal said. To no one's surprise the cyborg didn't reply, except to use his sword to strike down a trio of Sugomin in one slash.
"At this rate-ugh- we should be done by dinner!" Sean said shifting his sword into double blade mode allowing him more slash room.
Daisy kicked off the back of Daramas, leaping high into the air and blasting everything in sight. What got past her was taken out by the Strongest Man in the Universe. On the other side of them Rachel used her trident to keep some Sugomin off Deion while he handled a platoon of Gormin using his guns and his kicks.
As all of this was going on, Kyle was slashing and shooting down anything that came near him, and he had to admit he was pretty impressed with Walz Gil. So far the blue blood had avoided injury and was holding his own pretty well. Granted most of his offense consisted of hitting the gormin in the head, but hey it was more than anyone expected of him.
XpageBreakX
The group fought off the forces for more than two hours before most of the attackers had been dealt with. Regrouping, they were able to catch their breath.
"I think we're in the home stretch." Rachel said as she panted heavily, using her trident to help her stay on her feet.
"I think the female is right." Barizorg said, his armor covered in dents and scratches from constant fighting.
"So sad, you actually think you have a chance to win." A new voice said. Everyone turned and saw a woman in white armor and purple face visor standing on the top of a building, holding some type of datapad as she watched the group.
"Delta, how dare you show yourself!" Walz Gil said.
"Oh now how can you be so cruel? After all the work I've put into putting this little party together?" DeltaVron. "But luckily for you guys I'm very forgiving. In fact, I'll bring along more party-goers."
Delta tapped some buttons on her pad, and suddenly even more gormin and Sugomin appeared, along with new troops.
"What are those? I've never seen them before?" Daramas asked looking around.
They resembled Sugomin, except that their main color was green, while the secondary color was black and their staffs had a slightly different look.
"I'd like to introduce to you my newest addition to the Vron forces: The Trigomen!" Delta proudly said. "Why don't you show what you can do? Target Barizorg, the rest of you, have fun playing with the others."
With a curse, the fighting began anew; the tired fighters began fighting off the new forces. However the real issue was just how badly Barizorg was getting beaten. He couldn't seem to land a blow against the green arrivals. They were maneuvering out of the way to easily and it turned out their staffs had ranged attacks, and were inflicting heavy damage against the cyborg bodyguard.
Barizorg swung his sword at one of them, but the sword was caught by another one, and the third one smashed the sword, sending him stumbling back before the trio combined their attacks, blasting the cyborg back.
"Barizorg!" Walz Gil said as he fought his way over to his only real friend, flanked by the Gokaiger and Daramas.
"I'm sorry to….worry you boss. I am…..still operational." Barizorg slowly said as he got to his feet.
"Oh, I almost forgot about you Gokaiger. I can't have that. Well, this is something I've been working on for quite some time." Delta happily told them moving her fingers across the datapad. The distinct sound and light of teleportation signatures appeared behind the vast Zangyack forces. The forces the scurried out of the way as the new arrivals walked to the front of the group.
The Gokaiger watches in shock, disbelief and horror as they identified the arrivals. It was themselves. Dressed the same, and carrying themselves in the same way they did, it was like watching some really screwed up movie.
"Those are what killed Insarn!" Walz Gil shouted.
"Huh? Oh, that green chick. We tore her to shreds!" Not-Daisy mocked.
"Yeah, you needed a mop to clean her up when we finished." Fake-Sean agreed with a sadistic smirk.
"Meet the instruments of your destruction." Delta said. "They are you: Genetically identical clones grown from your DNA, given biomechanical upgrades, and copies of your thoughts and personalities."
"So that's what the Psycho Rangers wanted with us the first time around!" Sean realized. They had all been wondering for some time what their initial attack had been about, when they had copied their minds. Now they knew.
"Exactly, I've spent months working on them. They are my masterpieces. And the work didn't just stop at what's skin deep. Oh, where are my manners, why don't you show them?" Delta called down.
Evil Kyle nodded, reaching into his inside coat pocket and taking out a coin. The rest of the group also took coins out of their pockets. The group next attached strange buckles to their waists.
"Ready?" Evil Kyle asked.
"Ready!" His team confirmed.
The seven tossed their coins in the air, caught them an inserted them into belts around their waists before pushing the button on the front, starting the transformation sequence.
Jushen ZhangiJi Dui
A sinister voice called out as the seven were replaced by armored warriors.
"Red ZhangiJi: Kia, ready to start the show!" the red one, apparently named Kia declared. Kyle took an involuntary step back.
"Blue ZhangiJi: Tomhas, no problems here!" said "Tomhas". Tommy just stared in shock.
"Yellow ZhangiJi: Kat, just give the word." Kat said. Crystal couldn't find words to express how bizarre this was.
"Green ZhangiJi: Davis, targets in sight!" Davis declared. Deion's normally friendly voice sounded cold from his clone.
"Pink ZhangiJi: Ivy, give it your best shot!" Ivy Challenged. Daisy inhaled deeply, steeling herself for what's to come.
"Black ZhangiJi: Shane, no running now!" Shane taunted. Sean got up off the ground, holding his weapons ready.
"Silver ZhangiJi: Raven, jump into our fire!" raven boasted. Rachel said a prayer under her breath.
"Protecting the interests of Evil:
The Twisted Sentai: Jushen ZhangJiDui!"
"Step back and watch how it's done!" Kia said cockily, as he and his team charged. The gokaiger met them half way, but they were exhausted from hours of fighting, and were easily overwhelmed, with most of the others being sent flying back.
But Kia wasn't letting his counterpart go so easily. Battering him with punches and kicks and strikes from his weapon, the Evil Red Sentai was heavily disappointed in the opposition.
"Man, you just don't have it today." Kia taunted, grabbing Kyle's collar and tossing him away. A squad of Gormin ran over and hauled him to his feet, keeping him still.
"I'm afraid I must insist that one be destroyed now." Delta said. "Normally I wouldn't dream of telling you how to do your job, but he's dangerous. I want him gone."
"Fine, you heard the boss lady." Kia said as his team assembled around him. Charging energy into their weapons, they swung them down in a mockery of the final wave.
The Gokaiger watched helplessly as the blasts came closer to their leader and friend.
There was nothing they could do, and it was killing them all.
Suddenly, Walz Gil threw himself in front of the Pirate Captain, taking the full force of the attacks.
Kyle stared as the man he had been putting so much energy into defeating was hit with the attacks, falling to the ground. He managed to fight out of the Gorman's grasp and grabbed his sword, standing in front of the fallen Alien.
"You're Excellency!" Daramas shouted as he and barizorg fought over to him, the Gokaiger helping, mostly to check on their friend.
"I'm sorr *cough* Daramas. I should have listened to you." Gil quietly said.
"No your Excellency. You have made me so proud." Daramas said as he knelt beside his emperor, and perhaps his friend.
"Gokai Red?" Gil faintly asked. Kyle turned and glanced behind him. "Please, stop Delta and Omega at any-" his words were cut off by a hacking cough, and then the Leader of the Zangyack Space Empire passed away.
"I'll stop them both, don't worry about that." Kyle promised.
"Gokaiger, please retreat." Barizorg said, picking up a dropped Sugomin staff.
"What? You can't be serious." Deion said.
"He is right. You must flee. There is no way you will survive if you stay. You are all completely exhausted and will be defeated without effort." Daramas said, standing up and walking next to Barizorg.
"What about you two?" Daisy asked.
"We will hold their attention as long as we can, but please hurry. In our states, we will not last long." Daramas told them. Kyle nodded and stepped back, the others reluctantly doing the same.
"I regret things happened as they have. I would have liked the face you all myself." Daramas confessed.
"I know what you mean. Thank you." Kyle said.
XpagebreakX
The seven ran as fast as they could, only looking back to check how far the pursuing forces were and to fire potshots. So far the evil Sentai hadn't joined the chase yet, apparently Barizorg and Daramas were giving a better effort then they predicted. Kyle took out his moribites and dialed the number to the galleon, causing the ship to turn and approach the group. Seven cabled were dropped and the team leapt, grabbing them, still firing at the Zangyack as they were pulled up to the ship.
Kyle ran to the bridge and immediacy set course back to the mainland, all the while cursing his weakness. Cursing the fact that cowardly Walz Gil had to save his life.
No, not cowardly. No coward could have done that. Kyle thought.
XpagebreakX
The other six gokaiger collapsed in the main room from exhaustion, only looking up when they saw the island behind them exploding.
No one said a word.
XpagebreakX
Daisy climbed up to the Crows Nest and was unsurprised to see her boyfriend just standing there.
"None of this was your fault." She told him, wrapping her arm around him.
"I try to say that, but whenever I do, I keep seeing Gil, sacrificing himself for me." Kyle admitted.
"You did everything you could, and you'll keep your word." She assured him.
"Thanks Daisy."
"Your welcome." She was silent for a few moments.
"We're about to have a strategy meeting about that evil Sentai. Are you coming?" She asked.
"Yeah, just give me a few minutes." He told her. Daisy nodded, kissing him which earned her a small smile.
XpagebreakX
Kyle's smiled faded the second Daisy was out of sight and he continued to look out over the city, still processing what had happened in the last 24 hours. Taking out his moribites, he stared at it. So much trouble, because of his recklessness. Using his thumb to flip it open, he dialed a number he knew by heart, knowing he wouldn't get through. He had tried hundreds of times before.
This time, something happened.
"Kyle?" The voice came. The red ranger straightened and took a breath.
"Sam? Sam is that you? Where are you?" he desperately asked her.
"How'd you call me? Hello? Kyle?"
"Sam I'm here. I'm here!"
"Kyle I swear if you butt-dialed me and somehow got me and not answering me I will hurt you!" in some corner of his mind he wondered if butt dialing a moribites was possibly.
"Sam I'm here, can't you hear me? Sam, I swear somehow I'll find you!" Taking a breath, he rested his head in his arms for a moment, and then put his moribites back to his ear.
"Sam, bad things are happening, and I don't know what to do."
