I'm putting this up for adoption because I don't know how to continue it.

The basic idea is that Delilah, the gargoyle clone of Demona and Elisa, encountered Poseidon, most likely along the coast where the Labyrinth sewer/subway systems meet the ocean. Because Poseidon is a god, the breeder's moon isn't necessary for Delilah to conceive an egg.

This egg is meant to be a Gargoyle Percy Jackson, though obviously he's not a Jackson, and still the child of Prophecy. The idea was that Gargoyles are NOT monsters, though they could be mistaken as monsters easily. I had also planned on changing the prophecy to, a child of the eldest gods, shall reach 32 against all odds. This coming from the fact gargoyles age at half the rate of humans. Of course I also contemplated having Alex Xanatos do some magic to change Percy into human part of the time, allowing him to age normally.

I couldn't decide if the egg should hatch in ten years, like cannon, if it should hatch early because of Percy being a Demi-God, or if Alex should use magic to make the egg hatch.

I was also contemplating turning Percy in a woman named Andromeda, and having an eventual Andromeda/Alexander pairing.

Frankly, there were so many options in deciding what to do that I really couldn't choose what course to take. My hope is that, by putting this up for adoption, I'll see different authors take different paths with it.

Lastly, while it is not Gargoyles cannon, I did use the premise of Genesis Undone from the Goliath Chronicles. Whether you want to work that into cannon, use the Goliath Chronicles timeline, or even re-write this using the cannon timeline (in which case I suppose this first chapter would simply be inspiration), that's up to you.

I had no title for this.

Talon stood uncomfortably on the ramparts of Castle Wyvern as he waited for the sun to set.

The panther mutate was still uncomfortable around Xanatos, due to the man's part in changing him from a human into his current form. But this was important.

After the clones had turned to stone for, what was probably for good, Talon had begun to go through Delilah's room in the Labyrinth.

Delilah was the smartest of the clones. A few months ago, she had requested a private room from him. Seeing no reason to deny her request, he'd granted it. Over the next few weeks, he'd watched as the female gargoyle gatered bits of cloth and discarded clothing, along with a few other things. He and Maggie had respected her privacy, and not asked what she was doing.

But since she was turned to stone, he had decided to clean out the room for someone else to use, and put whatever belongings she'd gathered into storage, should she ever awaken from her stone coma.

What he'd found however had shocked him.

Lying in a cloth bed had been a watermelon shaped egg. After finding a pad of paper, he'd found several names written down, and scribbled out, except for two. Perseus and Andromeda.

It didn't take a genius to figure out the egg was Delilah's, or that she had chosen a name for her son or daughter.

But despite his experiences with the cloned clan, and Goliath and his clan, Talon knew he had no idea how to raise a gargoyle hatchling, or care for a gargoyle infant.

Which was what had brought him to Castle Wyvern, gently carrying the egg, which he gently held in his arms.

As the sun set, cracks began to echo around the building, and Talon watched as Goliath, leader of the Manhattan Clan, shattered his stone skin with a mighty roar.

When the large gargoyle turned to step off his perch, he was shocked not only to see Talon, but to see what he carried. "Is that a gargoyle egg?" he asked shocked.

Talon nodded. "Yes, I found it when cleaning out Delilah's room in the Labyrinth," he explained. "I admit, I did not know what to do, but if figured you would."

Goliath nodded, but he was distracted. "Yes, though I wonder…," the lavender gargoyle drifted off in thought as he brought his talons up to rub his chin.

"What is it Goliath?" Talon asked.

"Delilah wasn't even a year old, and she produced an egg," Goliath explained. "Normally, female gargoyles are fertile only three times in their lives, on the night of the Breeder's Moon. The next Breeder's moon is not until 2007. The last was in 1987. I have to wonder how she was able to conceive." He shook his head. "It is a mystery for another time," he said. "Come, we must find a place to keep and guard the egg until it hatches."
