So I'm putting this one up for adoption because I've forgotten where I was going with it. The basic idea was that FemHary was Nightcrawler's twin sister (how is explained below) and was basically a female version of Nightcrawler (power wise) with magic.

I remember I titled it Midnight because that was what I was going to use as her code name, and named her Branwen since it translates as white raven, and Mystique's most comomn alias is Raven Darkholme. Anyway, I hope someone picks this up.

I Do Not Own Harry Potter or X-Men: Evolution

This first chapter references the X-Men: Evolution episode, Shadowed Past. Namely Mytsique's memory.

Chapter 1

"What have you done to them?!"

"No!"

Branwen Potter woke up with a jolt.

Ever since the dementors in her third year, the young woman had been tormented with dreams of the night her adopted parents were murdered, and of being carried by a heavily robed woman who was being chased, before being dropped and falling.

Knowing she wouldn't be able to go back to sleep, the young witch climbed out of her bed.

As quietly as she was able, so as not to wake Remus, she made her way to the kitchen of the small home she lived in with her godfather.

The young witch didn't look human. Although definitely female, she looked much like a blue demon. Her ears were pointed, and her skin was covered with fine blue fur. She had a long, prehensile tail, tipped with an arrow-shaped point, and three fingers and three toes (one of which was actually protruding backwards from her heel) on each hand/foot.

Only her eyes, which were green, were from the Potters.

According to Remus, James and Lily had found her on their honeymoon in Germany, on the bank of a river. The two magicals had blood-adopted her, which caused her to develop a magical core, and her eyes to become the same emerald green as Lily's. Her hair, when short, also inherited the Potter messiness, it was one reason she kept it long.

They named Remus her godfather, as he was the only one of their friends to know what it was like to be different. To be judged because of what you are and not who you are.

Lily and James had charmed her clothes to hide her true appearance, though after their deaths, when Remus thought she was old enough, he charmed a necklace that she wore whenever she went out, and all of the time at Hogwarts.

"Can't sleep?" the rough voice of her godfather asked from the doorway, causing her to turn to face him.

Remus was a kind man. And aside from becoming a monster once a month, on the full moon, being a werewolf was actually benefiting to him. As a regular human, he was stronger and faster than others, with a heightened sense of smell, hearing, and night-vision. And, aside from the three scars across his face from the attack that turned him, he was a fairly handsome man, even if his hair had turned grey prematurely from the stress turning into a werewolf caused him.

His amber eyes were carefully watching her, full of concern.

She sighed and looked away. "I had that dream again," she explained. "The one where a woman is carrying me, being chased."

Remus sighed, and smiled sadly. Walking over, he pulled her into a hug. "I wish I knew what to tell you cub," he sighed in admittance. Pulling back, he asked, "Would you like a sleeping draught? You start school today anyway."

The witch shook her head.

She and Remus had moved out of Britain following the events of her fourth year at Hogwarts. Remus had found a place in a town called Bayville, located in the New York state of the United States. He had gotten a job at a local garage, and enrolled her at the high school. To continue her education in magic, he was planning on homeschooling her.

They'd left Britain for three reasons. The main one was Voldemort's return. It would be harder for the Dark Lord to find Branwen if she wasn't in Britain, especially as they hadn't told anyone, even Sirius (whom they had discovered was innocent of betraying Lily and James, in Branwen's third year), where they were. Another big reason was the smear campaign the Ministry had started against her.

Of smaller concern, was Branwen's desire not to return to Hogwarts.

Branwen was, frankly, sick and tired of being treated like a hero one day and a villain the next. But with her friends next to her, she could have gotten through it. But last year, she'd made a grievous error.

The fifteen year old had never really been attracted to boys. She'd always found the female form more attractive, and, after a long conversation with Remus, determined that she was a lesbian. Last year, prior to the Yule Ball, she asked her friend Hermione to go with her.

It turned out that Hermione, who up until that point had stuck buy her, was homophobic. She viciously turned on Branwen. By the time of the second task, the whole school knew, and it was like second year all over again.

Only without her friends.

Hell, she'd had to be given a private chamber by McGonagall because her dorm-mates didn't want her in the same room as them.

The rest of the year had been hell.

Looking back at Remus, Branwen said, "I'm just gonna get a drink of water. Then I'll go back to bed."

"Alright," Remus said, patting her shoulder.

The next morning, after putting on the necklace that disguised her as fully human, Branwen looked at herself in the mirror.

With the necklace on, Branwen looked completely human. Her blue-furred skin gave way to a light tan, her tail vanished, and her three fingers became five and her feet appeared to be covered in sneakers. And her ears rounded slightly. Carefully, she curled her tail around her leg, as it was the only part of her appearance that the illusion didn't hide, so that it wouldn't be seen.

Of course, she still needed to be careful. While the illusion would both simulate the appearance and feel, should someone touch her, of being normal, if she unwrapped her tail for any reason, her cover would be blown.

That's all I have. As always, PM if you want to adopt.
