Chapter 56: Special Garlic Jr Saga
The legs of Mustard feel to the ground with a thud the top half of his body completely vaporised by Tien's signature attack. Puff's of black smoke lazily rosed from the Maykan's remaining limbs.
"Gra-aahhh Mu-mu-ustard!" Salt croaked weakly spitting up blood. "M-m-marster help!"
The red skinned Maykan was on his front desperately crawling forward with his forearms towards the lookout's entrance a trail of blood followed closely behind him like a slug or snail's trail.
"Help!" He cried raising one hand out as if to grasp the door handle of the lookout's entrance which was still a fair distance away.
Crack!
A thick wooden stick appear right in front of Salts face blocking his escape.
"You will go no further" Master Roshi said calmly his eye's looking down at the Man at his feet. " Tell us what your vile master's plan is and i promise you we will give you a chance to live! A chance for a better future! A chance for redemption!"
"A chance to live!" That single sentence was enough to cause a small smirk to cross Salt's face which he hid by burrowing his head into the lookout's white tiles. "This old fool is willing to let me go! Of course Master wouldn't like his plan's to be revealed but how will he find out? it's not like these fool's could stop him. The Great Garlic Junior is immortal! He can't be defeated!"
"Ok" Salt said weakly his head still faced down against the ground. "I'll talk"
Boom!
Krillin grabbed Master Roshi and tossed him aside before twisting out of the way himself of a Ki blast which crashed directly into Salt's prone body vaporising the small red skin man instantly. The ex-monk turned to face the new two opponents that had appeared in the door way. Tien was soon at Krillin's side both human fighters were already in their crane style and turtle hermit style respectively.
The tallest of the two new arrivals stepped forward and snorted as he took in his surroundings. He was defiantly the largest and brawniness member of the group with purple skin and long brown hair.
"I guess Mustard and Salt couldn't cut it Spice and against such weakling's too who would have thought" Vinegar grunted annoyed waving his arms from side to side performing various stretches in preparation for combat.
"They where always far behind us Vinegar!" Spice said wearily stepping forward next to his ally.
Spice was a light blue skinned Maykan with large pointy elf like ears.
"So which one would you like the small bald one? the tall bald one or the old bald one?" Spice asked eyeing three humans before him. "Honestly none of these look like they could be Goku or his son to me. Honestly Master Garlic would be disappointed!"
"I'll take the tall one you can take the runt and the old man! I want an actual challenge!" Vinegar growled his eye's locked on Tien.
Tien's three eyes locked onto Vinegar's own before the ex-criminal re-grew his two extra arms of his four witches technique as a white hot aura burst around him.
" I guess that leaves me with you two boy's" Spice said casually as he walked toward's Master Roshi and Krillin lazily. "One at a time or bo-"
Crack!
Krillin's foot connected against Spice's forearm the Maykan having only just managed to raise his forearm to parry the attack in time, but the weight behind the blow surprised the blue skinned man.
"Fool!" Spice yelled throwing his free hand forward and firing a Ki blast in retaliation. "Do you have a death wish!"
"No just bored of waiting" Krillin snapped back. As Spices attack fazed though Krillin's after image.
The Ex- Monk appeared behind the Maykan and smashed the blue skinned man with a powerful left boot that send Spice spiralling in the air, but the Maykan recovered quickly spinning in the air and landing back on his feet.
Spice wiped away the small trail of blood from his lip's and got into a proper stance his eye's now locked on Krillin now taking the smaller man seriously.
"Be careful Vinegar, Their a lot stronger than they look be on guard!"
"Speak for yourself!" Vinegar boasted cockily turning his head away from Tien to look at his comrade. "Mine hasn't even moved he's so scared"
As if on que a strong pair of arm's locked them self around the purple skinned Maykan's body. Two arm's had the man in a full nelson the other two had wrapped around the warrior's stomach keeping him locked tight. Vinegar immediately ignited his purple aura as he struggled against Tien's hold tossing the human from side to side in order to try and loosen his grip.
"Oh very cleaver coming back from behind and try to hold me eh! Like that would last for long" he chuckled.
Bang!
Tien's clone formed by his multi form technique smashed a right handed upper cut into Vinegar's stomach before unloading a barrage of punches into the Maykan's body and face.
"Graaahhh!" Vinegar grunted in annoyance as the purple aura around him intensified as he twisted and tried to swing the Tien on his back into the Tien that was attacking him.
However the three eyed man was too much of an experience marital artist and merely weaved out of the man's reckless swings coming back in and attacking whenever their was opening but this time he was focusing on purely kicking the giant's legs. Slowly trying to chop the huge Vinegar down.
~DBAT~
Krillin and Spice where locked in combat the two warrior's trading blow after blow at breathtaking speeds each one probing and testing the other one's weaknesses and strengths in each engagement. The two disengaged and created distance from each other both with small droplets of sweat running down their face's but it was clear that Spice was the one breathing heavier out of the two though the Maykan hid this with a confident grin.
"Your pretty good for a small fry you know!" Spice taunted "since Salt's gone we could use a new dwarf in are ranks!"
"You think your the first one to make fun of my height? nice try buddy but you will have to do better than that" Krillin said calmly before bounding forward to reengage throwing a right hook towards Spices jaw which the blue skinned man barely manage to dodge by twisting his head out of the way before raising his knee to bury into the ex-monk stomach.
But Krillin was to fast and reacted instantly dodging out of the way of the attack and booting the side of the knee with a powerful right kick buckling the knee and setting Spice off balance. This was his chance with his foe unbalanced and tying to steady himself the human martial artiest laid into him sending blow after blow into Spices upper body and face until the Mayken was knocked onto the ground with a now bleeding and broken nose.
"Dam you!" Spice growled channelling power to his right hand and firing a Ki blast towards Krillin as he crashed into the ground. the ex-monk merely twisted his head out of the way allowing the attack to safely pass him before booting the prone Spice in the gut causing the Mayken to spit blood onto the floor.
The human looked down at the fallen Spice boy's leader a small frown upon his face.
"Give up you can't win" The Human sighed trying to follow his best friend Goku's lead and give his fallen foe a chance of redemption. "I knew from are exchange earlier that their was no way you could beat me! And your friend over their" Krillin gestured with a nod of his head towards Tien and Vinegar battle where it was clear the three eyed man held the advantage. "Give up now and we will let you and your friend go and live in peace hell we will even give Garlic a chance if he takes it. No one else has to die and once the dragonball's are back we can bring your friends back as well. This is your chance take it!"
Spice looked up at Krillin dumb founded at what the human was saying before a smile crept across his face.
"You really think you could defeat me? your more delusional than i thought" Spice growled springing to his feet and launching a right handed punch directly towards the small man's face.
Crack!
Spice eyes widened as he felt Krillin's left hand grip tightly around his right fist as a burst of white hot aura engulfed the student of the turtle hermit. The Mayken desperately tried to pull his fist back out of the ex-monk's grip but to no avail.
Crunch!
Spice launched a left kick at Krillin's head but the ex-monk caught this attack with his free hand and firmly held the limb in place as the Mayken tried to break free.
"This is impossible no mere human should be this powerful" Spice growled looking into Krillin cold calm eyes.
"Your not dealing with your average human" Krillin said calmly lifting Spice off of the ground and into the air still gripping onto the Mayken's fist and leg.
With another burst of white hot energy around him Krillin's muscles expand enormously in size as he ascended into his Super Human transformation drastically increasing his physical power as he crushed the fist and shin he held in each of his respective hand' blood began to seep though his finger tips as he crushed the appendages.
Spice screamed in agony as he was tossed to the ground like a rag doll and was nearly sick when he looked down at the mangle mess that was his right hand and the way his left foot hang at a twisted unnatural angle beneath the knee the purple aura around him had vanished being replaced by a pool of blood.
"How how are you this powerful!" Spice cried trying to get back up on to his feet but failing to do so.
"You don't need to know" Krillin growled looking down on the Mayken. "You never stood a chance you know that don't you!"
"Look" Spice croaked breathing heavily due to the amount of pain he was in. "About that deal earlier i can change i can be good please let me live!"
"You had your chance" Krillin said coldly cupping his hands together and taking up the Kamahama-ha stance. "Ka"
"Please!" Spice begged
"Ma!"
"Don't do this!"
"Ha!"
"I don't want to die!"
"Ma!"
Spice lifted his hands up above his face to shield himself from the oncoming attack and his doom!
"HA!" Krillin roared throwing his hands forward and sending the powerful beam of energy toward Spice as the Mayken closed his eyes expecting yo see King Yemma's face.
Zip! A strong pair of arms wrapped around Spices body and lifted him up.
Zip!
"Gohan what are you doing!" Krillin roared looking up at the Demi-sayian who was holding on to the broken and beaten body of Spice in mid air.
"He gave up Krillin he wanted another chance you shouldn't have tried to kill him" Gohan snapped back. "My dad would have gave him another chance you can't just kill someone like that!"
"Gohan i gave him a chance he only wants another one now i because he know he cannot win! Your dads not always right about these thing these guys are monsters their is no changing them. if you keep them alive they will be a threat!" Krillin snapped back looking up at his friends son.
"No one thought Mr Piccolo would change and he did! No one thought my grandfather (Bardock) would change and he did! And Vegeta is changing as well! People can change Krillin you just have to give them time"
Spice opened his eyes slowly as Gohan and Krillin continued to argue over his fate, Using this distraction the Mayken quickly took in his surroundings and smiled to himself as he saw an opportunity before him allowing a smile to creep upon his face.
Spice twisted out of Gohan's grip and wrapped his right forearm around The Demi-Sayian's neck and then placed his left palm against Gohan's temple as his hand began to glow with energy. The Leader of the Spice boys looked down at Krillin and Tien the latter of which was still battling Vinegar.
"Give up now you two or the boy dies" Spice growled in glee.
Tien's top eye darted up and looked up at Spice holding Gohan before he continue to fight were as Krillin just looked Gohan right in the eye as he spoke up to the boy.
"You see Gohan first opportunity he uses you as a hostage! Someone like him doesn't deserve a second chance!" Krillin yelled up at the Demi Sayian.
"Look" Gohan said calmly. "You don't have to do this we can all live in peace ok it dosen't have to be this way!"
"Ha!" Spice chuckled "Peace the only peace you will have is when your dead boy! Once Garlic Jr completes his plans and unleashes the black water mist this whole world will be riddled with violence like you have never seen. Your precious guardian will watch helplessly as the planet tears itself apart!"
"But you don't have to do this" Gohan replied back causing Spice the laugh some more.
"Shut up boy! Now i told you both to stand down and i will say it again bow down now or the boy will die" Spice growled.
But Tien still continued to fight Vinegar and in fact now had the advantage flooring the giant with a flurry of jabs as Krillin continue to stare up at them unflinching.
"I told you Gohan he's not going to change now let me finish this" The Ex-monk yelled up at the boy.
"What do you mean let me finish this" Spice snarled "He is my captive tell your friend to back off now or this kid will die!"
"That Kid is more powerful than me and Tien put together" Krillin said calmly looking Spice right in his eyes. "he could kill you easier than i can your not a threat to him"
Spice looked down at Krillin complexed before a wide grin spread across his lips as the Mayken threw his head back and laughed.
"You expect me to believe that! Fine i'll call your bluff!" Spice growled.
Boom!
Spice fired a ki blast directly into Gohan's temple.

Goku was holding his fathers body in his arms slowly heading towards Capsule Corp when an huge power erupted in the direction of the lookout. The Sayian paused remembering that Dende had told him their was trouble with Garlic Jr returning. But this didn't feel like the Mayken that he fought before's power it felt like a power he had only experienced on Namek.
"Gohan..." Goku breathed as he felt the strength of his son's aura. "You have lost control again..."
Goku looked down in his arms at his father knowing that he couldn't head to the Lookout just yet as he had to first get Bardock to safety.
"It's too far to Capsule Corp who know's how much damage Gohan could do!" Goku said aloud as he looked around the ocean in thought. " Master Roshi island isn't too far away from here and it's on the way to the look out"
Goku's white aura burst around him as he changed his direction as he took off towards the Turtle hermit's house and then to his son.
~DBAT~
"ahhhhhhhhhhhh" Gohan yelled enraged as an all too familiar gold aura burst around him. Immediately sending Spice crashing towards the ground as he was thrown away by the seer explosion of power that had shot out from the Demi-Sayian's body.
A small could of black smoke fizzed from Gohan's temple as his face turned to look down at the trembling body of Spice, who was looking up at the boy in pure fear.
"Please..." Spice squealed in panic as he looked into Gohan's pure white eyes. "You said i can live please give me a chance!"
But Gohan wasn't listening and merely tossed a beam down at the Prone Mayken vaporising him in an instant.
"See Gohan!" Krillin yelled up at the boy. "You can't trust guys like that. Their tricky and will say whatever it takes to get what they want and to get an advantage you have to lear..."
The Ex-monk was stopped mid sentence as Gohan sung round and fired a Ki blast towards the man who had to quickly spring out of the way.
"What the hell's wrong with you man!" Krillin cried out in anger as he looked up at Gohan who had brought both his hand's back to his side two balls of energy already charged in both of his palms.
"GRAAAAAAHHHHHH!" Gohan roared obvious to Krillin's yells as he began to fire a continuous barrage of Ki blasts down towards Lookout with what seemed like endless stamina.
The attacks were wild and aimless but it caused Tien and Vinegar to end their fight as both where forced to duck and weave around Gohan's assault upon them.
"He's attacking us without discretion!" Marster Roshi yelled running out from the Lookout entrance an old rice cooker in hand, the old Master had slipped into the main building while his old student and Tien where fighting hoping to get the jump on Garlic Jr and trap him with the Evil containment wave. However he was brought out immediately once he felt the explosion of Gohan's aura. "This is like how he was on Namek! He even attacked Goku!"
Vinegar sensing the danger and seeing that the three Human's where distracted by a new threat took off into the air a smile etched across his face.
"I'll let them fight amongst themself and then i'll come in and clear up whats left this should be a go-"
Before the Mayken could finish his last though Gohan Zipped into view in front of him and delivered a swift right upper cut right thew the man's chest killing him instantly.
The Demi-Sayian tossed Vinegars lifeless body into the air before vaporising it with a single flick of his wrist, before opening his mouth and firing a mouth beam down towards the lookout vaporising the section of the lookout where Master Roshi had been standing moments before, however the turtle hermit had already been on the move sprinting out of the way.
"Keep moving you two" The old turtle hermit yelled. "He is powerful but ill disciplined when he is like this, we must act quickly to subdue him otherwise who knows how much damage he will cause"
"On it" Krillin yelled as he flew towards Gohan dodging the oncoming Ki blasts with ease as they were thrown with reckless abandonment.
Krillin returned fire firing attacks of his own at the young Demi-Sayian however Gohan dodged these effortlessly his primal instincts kicking in fuelling his movements and actions, but his attention had been drawn to Killin and this tunnel vision had given Tien time to manoeuvre.
Four Tien's sprang behind Gohan and attacked pelting the Demi-Sayian with relentless attacks, trying to knock him out however this assault only seemed to anger the small boy more who sung round firing a mouth beam as he turned catching and vaporising two of Tien's clones as all four tried to fly out of range.
crunch! Killin used Tien's distraction to close the distance and smashed the back of Gohan's head with a powerful right knee, However the Demi-Sayian head didn't budge an inch instead the Ex-monk heard a growl as he was sent flying backwards as Gohan's golden aura expanded further and a shock wave of powerful energy shot outwards cracking several tiles of the Lookouts grounds and shaking it's very foundations and the Earth miles below.
"GRAHHHHHHHH!" Gohan growled again as multiple Ki blasts shot out of Gohan's body and crashed down upon the surrounding area.
Noticing that the Ki attacks threatened to not only hit the lookout but the Earth bellow and consequently the Indian village home to Goku's old friend. The Z fighters that were present springing into action Krillin, Tien and Master Roshi counter Gohan's attacks with their own trying to insure as little damage as possible was caused to the planet below and spare the villagers lives.
"Spice, Vinegar,Salt, Mustard what the hell is going on out here" Garlic Junior roared exiting the Lookout.
The Immortal Mayken had been disturbed by the shock waves of battle that had shaken the Lookout and made it impossible forhim to hunt for the black water mist as such he had left the task for now in order to end the cause of the disturbance. However as he looked out at the broken remains of his fallen subordinates and up at the golden form of Gohan whose black hair was flying wildly in the wind as Ki blast continued to fly out of his body a scowl spread across his lips.
"You!" Garlic Junior cried out "Your the one that put me in that infernal prison you little brat!"
Throwing both hands forward the Mayken Fired a beam of bright green energy at the Demi-Sayian which hit it's mark. However the attack did not vaporise the young boy like the Mayken had intended instead all it had achieved was drawing the boys attention to him. Before Garlic Jr could react Gohan had flashed in front of him and sent a right handed punch right though the small green skinned man's stomach.
"Gahhhh" Garlic Junior chocked coughing up purple blood. "You barstard! that hurt" The Mayken wheezed gripping Gohan's right arm with his two hands trying yet failling to dig his nails into the Demi-Sayians forearm. "Don't you know i'm immortal you can't kill me!"
Crack!
Gohan smashed a left handed punch directly into Garlic juniors bottom jaw ripping it from it's hinges and sending it flying across the lookout. Purple blood dripped from the injury as Garlic Junior gargled in pain unable to even scream now that his lower jaw had forcefully been removed.
Tiny sparks of magic appeared around the large open gaps of flesh that was once attached to Garlic junior jaw and closed the injury shut, however the lower Jaw did not regenerate. Sparks began to sparkle around Gohan's arm still enbebed in Garlic juniors stomach, however the injury couldn't heal as the Demi-Sayian arm was in the way. A look of panic set in Garlic Juniors eyes as Gohan once again brought back his fist and smashed it against the Mayken's right temple cracking the skull wide open and crunching it inwards like a tin can. The Mayken grip loosened from the boys arm as Gohan tossed the small body aside. before releasing another primal roar.

Goku felt another spike in Gohan's energy level it was getting more chaotic more violent by the second exactly like it was on Namek.
"God dam it" Goku yelled speeding up his arrival to Master Roshi Island this was dangerous if Gohan wasn't calmed down or restrained soon his power threatened to destroy the planet itself.
Mercifully moments earlier the island came into a view a lone figure with long hair sat on the door step of the turtle hermit house.
"Raditz?" Goku thought to himself as he saw the figure from a distance but as he drew closer he saw that the person was defiantly female. "Celina?"Goku thought to himself as he landed on the sandy beach of the small island. Krillin had mentioned something about a female Sayian arriving on the planet while he was away but the young Sayian from Earth hadn't had the chance to meet the women yet.
Celina looked up as she heard Goku land and jumped up and back in shook, The Sayian knew straight away it was her son Kakarot the resemblance to his father was uncanny in fact the only way she could tell the difference between the two of them was the scars upon Bardocks war torn face.
Pride washed over the female as she looked at her son for the first time since he was a small child being sent away to conquer the planet in which they now stood. She then immediately felt the amazing power that radiated from Goku as hot as a star his mere aura was enough to make her weak at the knees by his mere presence. Celina wanted to run and hug her son in her arms for the first time in decades to tell him how proud she was off him how much she missed him.
However a sudden feeling of dread rushed over her and stopped the female Sayian's in her tracks, What if Goku rejected her? Sayian's were notorious for their respect in strength it was near impossible to find one that didn't strength and power was the bases of their whole class system. Having a Sayian as weak as her for a mother would only bring shame to Kakarot who would probably not want much to do with her. She had hoped to have trained enough with her new friend Krillin to gain enough strength to be worthy of his mother yet the gap between their strength was so vast it was like comparing a pebble to a mountain.
Goku noticed the worry and concern in Celina's eyes flashed her a quick beaming smile as he lay his father down on the ground.
"Sorry for barging in like this, i know you haven't meet me yet but i'm Goku theirs a problem at the lookout that i need to fix so i'm just going to leave my dad here till i can go back and get him ok?" Goku said cheerily as he turned away not waiting for an answer.
As the Young Sayian turned Goku's smile turned into a frown as he focused remembering the emotions and pain he felt back on Namek when he first transformed, How he had failed everyone how this time he would not fail his son that he would protect Gohan himself.
A golden aura burst around Goku as his jet black hair burst into a gold flame the Sayian steadied himself allowing his body to adjust to the power he had released within himself. Before taking off into the sky.
Celina had feel to her knees shaking open mouthed at the site before her and the strength that was radiating from her son. "It's true my son has become the legendary super sayian" As she watched Goku take off with fantastic speed into the air. Her eyes followed until Goku's golden aura flickered out of sight and then her eyes feel on to Bardock.
The Female stood up and took a few steps forward toward the prone body of the warrior Sayian before lifting up her right hand and aiming her palm towards Bardock's unconscious face as swirling red sparks of energy fizzed around her fingers and then into an energy sphere she had began to form in her hand.
"You Barstard!" She snarled as tears began to stream from her eyes. "You knew Raditz would die didn't you! You promised me he would come back in one piece that with Gohan we could be a happy family again! YOU LIED TO ME!"
Hello everyone long time no speak, sorry for the long delay in this chapter it was very hard to write i found it quite boring at first and had massive writers block. I kept thinking the Z fighters on Earth should beat these guy's easily even if i write Vegeta and Goku out of it, Gohan's still in the area and Piccolo would not miss out on this threat for long as soon as he found out Kami was in troble. These two charters at this stage would easily resolve this. Plus i also felt in this story with Tien and Krillin's strength and Master Roshi evil contamination tecnique they could dispatch with Garlic Jr themselves quite easily. I found it more what would happen first would the humans win or would Piccolo and Gohan come to rescure. And then it dawned on me this was an opportunity for character development, to explore the dangers of a young boy holding such power with no control over it. To explore the fact that Gohan's angier the thing that has aided him for so many battle in cannon and in this story could in fact be a weakness a threat to the people he loves a danger to others. And that is what grabbed my interest and the more i think about it the more it makes sense.
You have Gohan a boy who's family has been torn apart with so many emotions running high feeling like he is being pulled away from his father so he latches on to Goku ideals more, and fights for what his father believes in more. tries to save a life only to have it thrown in his face and a threat made to his life. It makes sense for him to get angry but like other Sayian's that have transformed into Super sayian (Brolly, the orginal legendary super sayian) He can't control his power it over whelms him. It gives this Gohan a reason to not only train to control this destructive energy but also a reason why the Z fighters need to train him. He's a threat.
Also i hope everyone likes the twist at the end with Celena, I'm sorry that it might not be the mother and son reunion that you all wanted but i feel like it would make sense with Sayian society that she would be a little bit ashamed of herself for being so weak. If Goku was weak himself she might have been more forthcoming . But now they have met and i look forward to exploring her and Bardocks relationship further... unless she kills him now she seems pretty angry with him right now.
I also hope you liked how i change Gohan and Krillin's relationship and explored that change in this chapter. As im sure you can tell the fact Krillin didn't go to namek in this story means that him and Gohan aren't nearly as close as they were in the main timeline.
