(The drive)
Dimitri was driving back to St. Vladimir's Academy with Lissa, Jasmine, and a female guardian in the back seat, and Rose sitting in the front seat. Listening to them chatting about movies, music, clubs, clothes, colleges that Vasilisa likes to go to, and cars, Both the female guardian and Dimitri find out that Jasmine seems to have a mind of her own when it comes to movies, music, clubs, clothes, colleges, and cars.
Jasmine reached into the front seat. began turning between different stations to find something enjoyable to listen to. Vasilisa said, "Find something with a great fast beat." Jasmine had gone to the stations in a different said, "I forget the stations out here. Truly suck balls back here in backwoods Montana." Lissa and Rose started laughing over what Jasmine said. Dimitri and the female guardian give a small smile.
Jasmine stopped at the station that was playing a song by Rammstein-Du Hast. Dimitri thought to himself that Jasmine had an odd taste in music. I think she might want to hear something from America or the 1980s. Vasilisa said, "What is this music that we are listening to?" Jasmine said, "German metal band from the late 1990s."
Rosa said, "Jasmine! You have an odd taste in music. I don't understand why you don't like the same music that Vasilisa and I do. " Jasmine said, "Who the hell would want to listen to candy pop? When there are a lot of better bands and glorious music out there. " Dimitri didn't understand what Jasmine meant about candy pops. The female guardian asked, "What is candy pop?" Jasmine said, "Songs that are here today and gone tomorrow." Dimitri said, "Huh!"
Vasilisa knew she had to change the subject quickly to something else. Jasmine or Rose started fighting over music again. Remember the last time you lasted hours? Vasilisa said, "Any guesses which guys are going after Rose this year?" Jasmine said, "Mason!" Mason got a big crush on Rosie. " Vasilisa said, "Rose and Mason would be so cute together." Rose said, "What about you?" Jasmine agreed. Vasilisa said, "Damon or Eddie." Jasmine said, "What about you, a princess? Vasilisa said, "We have to wait and find out. Rose and Jasmine, same time, Aaron. " Jasmine said, "Vasilisa needs a bad boy like Christian." Rose and Vasilisa looked at Jasmine and couldn't believe what she said.

Jasmine reached into the back of the SUV, clutching her backpack and pulling it towards her. Start unzipping and reaching in search of her silver stake. Dimitri knew it was time to take care of the problem and keep them protected. Dimitri replied to stay in the car with the girls. He began to reach for the doorknob.
The window busted and the arm of a male Strigoi reached into the SUV, grabbing at Dimitri's duster. started pulling Dimitri towards him through the window. Jasmine came around Dimitri's seat and put her right hand out, shooting a fireball into the face of the Strigoi. Male Strigoi scream, let go, and flee into the realized Jasmine used magic like the Moroi. Jasmine gazed down into Dimitri's brown eyes and said, "Go Now!" Dimitri took it as an order and the female guardian jumped out and started fighting the Strigoi. She sits in the backseat and tells Vasilisa to calm down.
Vasilisa said, "I'm scared." Jasmine said, "We are here to keep you safe, like always." Rose said, "It is safe in the car." Jasmine said, "Wrong!" Vasilissa was looking at Jasmine. The front passage window on Rose's side breaks. The female strigoi had reached into the SUV and grabbed Rose's arm. Jasmine grabbed Rose's jacket and started pulling her back away from the Strigoi. Jasmine raised her left hand to shoot flames at the female Strigoi, making her let go of Rose, scream, and run away from the SUV covering her face. Rose could feel the heat from the flame on her face and said, "Thank Sissy!" Jasmine nods her head at Rose.
When the backdoor passage door was opened by a male Strigoi, he grabbed Jasmine's leg and started trying to pull her out of the SUV. Vasilisa and Rose grabbed Jasmine to keep her from pulling out of the vehicle. Both started doing tug-of-war with strigoi, using Jasmine as the rope. Jasmine started kicking at the male Strigoi to break free from his grab. The front and other passage doors opened. Two other Strigoi grabbed Vasilisa, and Rosa pulled them out of the SUV.
(Ten minutes later)
Dimitri, Rose, Vasilisa, and the four other guardians' hands were bound behind their backs on their knees. Rose asked in a low voice, "Where is Jasmine?" Lissa was so scared, thinking this was the way they were going to end up dead at the hands of the Strigoi. In a low voice, Dimitri said, "Let's hope she went for help."
The biggest male Strigoi walked in front of them and looked down at them. The leader said, "Let's see what we have for dinner. We have six dhampirs and a nice Moroi. " The smaller male Strigoi said, "I think we could share the Moroi." Dimitri could see that the female strigoi's face looked half-burned. The female said, "We feed on men and end with ladies." Jasmine gets ready to start fighting them.
Jasmine whistled at the Strigoi. All three strigoi turn to face Jasmine. Jasmine leaped off the hood like a cheetah in attack mode. Jasmine had a silver stake over her head with both hands around it. Land on the strigoi leader, shoving her silver stake into his heart and forcing him deeper, killing the leader when they hit the other two strigoi surprised Max when they got killed so easily by the female dhampier.
Jasmine turns on the two strigoi and lets go of the silver stake. She raised her hands using her power, shooting two streams of flames at both strigoi, making the strigoi jump back from the flames.
Dimitri and the other guardians watched Jasmine fight the Strigoi alone with no one to help. Jasmine reached down, grabbing the stake with her right hand, and pulled out the dead leader strigoi heart. It surprised the guardians and Dimitri in power from Dhampier. Jasmine rose to her feet as the fire was in Jasmine's left hand and arm, burning bright red.
The female strigoi said, "Bitch. You burned my beautiful face. " Jasmine said, "I think you are better now." The female moved forward to Jasmine. Everyone could see that Jasmine didn't move from her spot. She moves her hand and shoots a jet of flames at the female strigoi. They could hear the female strigoi starting to scream from the pain of the flames and catch her body full of flames and fall down dead.
The male strigoi started running at Jasmine. Dimitri could see Jasmine waiting to open her heart. The male Strigoi moved on to Jasmine and tried to grab Jasmine. But Jasmine keeps moving out of his way. They could hear the male Strigoi scream from the pain. When the silver stake cuts his face, The male Strigoi throws a punch. Jasmine turned her upper body to the right side with her feet planted in the same place, letting the male arm go right by her. Jasmine used the silver stake, plugging her stake into Strigoi's heart. Everyone could see that the male Strigoi went forward, eyes going big and closed. Jasmine pulled a silver stake and let his dead body fall backward into the ground.
Jasmine spun around in her place and walked back in step on the dead leader, Strigoi's, body. The fire still burned in her left hand and up her arm. Jasmine stopped on track. Listen to what was happening around her. Dimitri wondered what was going said, "What are you doing?" Jasmine said, "Shh!
Jasmine was listening for the sounds around her, hearing the movement of the other Strigoi that might be out there. The sound of fast-moving footsteps came from the could see the male strugoi moving on Jasmine. Jasmine spun around, walked over to all of them, and stood in front of them. Dimitri could see that Jasmine's eyes were gold again. Looking down at each of them, she thought to herself, "As guardians, we need more training." If you need someone to save your ass, look no further.
Rose said, "Jazz breath and take control." Jasmine took a few deep breaths. Fire slowly disappeared from her arm and moved down to her left hand. The flames moved back to Jasmine's hand and closed it, making the fire truly disappear. Jasmine put her stake in her belt and reached down, pulling a knife from her right boot. Walking around, Dimitri bent down and started cutting the ropes, freeing Dimitri's hands. He turned to Vasilisa and cut her ropes to free her.
A female guardian said, "What just happened here? Jasmine said, "Really?" Were you not paying attention? We were just attacked by fucking Strigoi. All of you get captured by them. With skills and power, I had to save all of you from them. This is why I believe you need to go back to school and relearn how to fight the strigoi. You are a dumbass!
Vasilisa said, "Thank you! Where is your medication? " Jasmine looked over at Dimitri. Dimitri reached down in his pocket and handed them to Vasilisa. Vasilisa opened the pill bottle and took out one pill. Give it to Jasmine and watch her take it. Rose said, "Now you understand that great power comes with a cost." The pills help Jazz stay calm after using her magic. Dimitri now understands why she took the pills.

Vasilisa, Rose, and Jasmine walk back to the SUV with Jasmine's coat. Dimitri walked over to climb back into the SUV. Rose was in the front seat, with Jasmine and Vasilisa sitting in the backseat together. Vasilisa was speaking in a soft tone to Jasmine to keep her calm. The other students came out and were strolling through on their way to bed. The sun started rising in the sky. A small girl with a pix hair cut called out to them. Look everyone, as they bring back trash. That runoff? Jasmine stopped and looked at Mia. Jasmine says, "Who let the pix-haired, two-year-old out of her playpen again?" It isn't past your bedtime. " Mia said, "I guess they will let anyone into this academy." Jasmine said, "They let you in. So that makes you trash too. " Mia started getting mad at Jasmine.
Christian said, Stop acting like a baby, Mia. Wait! You are a baby! " Everyone started laughing at Mia. Jasmine said, "Thanks, Pyro." Christian said, "Not a problem. It is good to see you again. Jazz! " Mia said, "Shut up, Christian." Rose smiled at Jasmine. Vasilisa was looking at Christian. Dimitri started pushing Jasmine and Rose forward. The guardians were smiling, knowing something would never change when it came to these girls. Dimitri asked, "Why did you do that?" Jasmine said, "Because it's fun." Rose said, "Mia is a bitch and a pain in the ass." All the girls started laughing. Alberta said, "Those are my girls." Vasilisa, Jasmine, and Rose smiled.
Alberta leads them, with Rose and Jasmine following her. Vasilisa was in the middle, with Dimitri and two other guardians behind them. She walked up to the double doors with a gold plate with her name saying "Head Mistress Kirova's office." Alberta reached up and knocked on the door. They could hear a female voice saying, "Come in."

Head mistress Kirova said, "A good sign that you found them." Jasmine rolled her eyes at Kirova. Jasmine came to stand behind the chair on the right. so that Rose and Vasilisa could sit down in chairs in front of the wood desk.
Dimitri and Alberta took seats next to the wall to hear what Head Mistress Kirova had to say. Head mistress Kirova turned around and looked at each of them. Jasmine said, "Let me get you a chair." Victor said, "Thank you, Jasmine." Jasmine walked over, grabbing one chair next to the wall and sitting on the next chair in front of Kirova's desk. Dimitri could see a softer side of Jasmine just by helping Victor Dashkov. Jasmine helped Victor sit down in the chairs. Victor said, "Thank you for helping the old man sit down." Dimitri led both Jasmine and Rose back to the female dorms with other dhampirs. Jasmine started to break away from Dimitri and Rose. When Dimitri grabbed Jasmine's upper arm, he said, "Where are you going?" Jasmine said, "The Tower! I don't live in female dorms with other females. " Rose could see that Dimitri didn't understand what Jasmine meant. Jasmine said, "Come on. "I'll show you."
Jasmine and Dimitri cut the academy grounds to build something like a bell tower in the pass. Dimitri follows Jasmine to the wood door. Jasmine reached down, taking the key ring off her bag, putting the key into the lock and unlocking the door. Push the door open and walk inside. Jasmine closed the cabin and walked back to Dimitri. Jasmine said, "Are you sure you don't want any?" Dimitri took the bottle and sat down on the coffee table. Dimitri said, "Jasmine!"
Jasmine said, "The first thing is that you can call me Jazz. Most people do. Dimitri said, "Why didn't you use your gift to fight the guardians?" Jasmine said, "I only use it to fight strigoi. It surprises the shit out of them. Normal dhampiers don't have magical abilities like Moroi. Besides, I hoped I didn't have to use it tonight. "
