Jasmine walked upstairs and seen Dimitri getting dress. Jasmine said, "Cowboy." Dimitri said, "Jazz. So what are you going to do today?" Jasmine said, "I am going to get hammered! This Christmas suck! Where are you running off to?" Dimitri said, "I going to Tasha invite me to Christmas brunch in an elegant parlor in the Academy's guest quarters." Dimitri turns around to see that Jazz holding a bottle of Jack Daniels in black wearing a white crop top and black legging with hair down. Jasmine went to take a drink from the bottle and said, "whore in Russian."
Dimitri said, "Didn't Tasha invite you?" Jasmine said, "No! She didn't." Dimitri said, "why don't you come as my guest?" Jasmine said, "Sure! So I a watch you make out with Tasha in front of Rose. Rose get mad and go screw, Mason. Lissa and Christian talk with each other. While sitting in the corner, and watch shit the fucking fan. Sound like fucking party." Dimitri walked over and grabbed the bottle from Jasmine said, "Go get dress." Jasmine, turn around and walked downstairs. Dimitri takes the drink from the bottle and puts the top on the bottle. "Thinking to himself, what am I going do with this girl."
Dimitri and Jasmine arrived together at the gathering. Dimitri informs Jasmine to be nice to Tasha. Jasmine looked at Dimitri and said, "I try to be nice to your new playmate." Dimitri said, "Tasha isn't my playmate. She is a friend." Jasmine said, "Your friend that got hot for you. You're too blind to see it." Dimitri said, "Stop!" Jasmine said, "why? I am just being express myself." Dimitri smiled at Jazz and said, "know you sound like Roza." Jasmine said, "we twins. Why do people keep forget that fact."
Dimitri wasn't mean to Rose or anything. But he certainly didn't go out of his way to make conversation with her. He did talk to Tasha, however, and both Jasmine and Rose watched with fascination as they conversed in that easy way of theirs. Rose asked, "Jasmine is everything doing?" Jasmine said, "I see that Tasha invite you. But Tasha didn't invite me at all. But Dimitri broth me here as his guest." Rose said, "That not friendly of her." Jasmine said this bullshit!
Mason came up and said, Hello Rose. Jasmine said Hello! Ducky! Mason said, "When did you get here?" Jasmine just looked at Mason unhappy look on her face. Rose said, "Jasmine came with Dimitri. Tasha didn't invite Jasmine at all." Mason said, "that sucks Jasmine. Rose cant I talk to you. " Rose said, "Yes!" Jasmine said, "No! I talking to her." Mason and Rose could see Jasmine's eyes were gold and not her normal light brown. Mason said, "Jazz your eyes change color to beautiful gold color." Rose said, "Calm down Jazz." Jasmine said, "That bitch is doing it again. Rose asked, "What?" Jasmine said, "Tasha is compelling Dimitri again like when compell him in the cabin." Mason was surprised to Jazz had caught Tasha compelling someone.
Jasmine moved away from Mason and Rose to head straight at Tasha and Dimitri. Jasmine stepped in front of Dimitri breaking the compelled between Dimitri and Tasha. Jasmine looked into Tasha's eyes and said, "Stop!" Tasha looked surprised to notice that someone would step in here and stare at her in the eyes without fear. Dimitri came to normal and asked, "what is going on?" Jasmine said, "Tasha is compelling you again." Tasha said, "No! I wasn't," Jasmine said, "Bullshit! Rose and Mason saw it." Dimitri said, "Jasmine!"
Jasmine looked over her shoulder so that Dimitri could seen that Jasmine's eyes were golden and not normal light brown with gold flicks in them. The fire grows hotter and sending strikes out of the fire. Dimitri said, "Jasmine! We need to talk." Dimitri pulled Jasmine away from Tasha and asked, "what is going on with you?" Jasmine said, "Tasha was compelling you again." Dimitri said, "Calm down! Jasmine said, "I will calm down. When I fucking feel like it! Dimitri knew soon that Jasmine's powers might show their head.
Dimitri said, "Maybe, I shouldn't broth you to this party." Jasmine said, "You should become her guardian. So you don't have to worry about Rose or me again. After Grandmother Yeva told you that you have to take care of me. All you care about is getting fucking laid. You are worst than a fuck strigoi. Dimitri founding surprising that Jasmine knew Tasha had asked him to be her guardian.
Jasmine moved away from Dimitri and sat down on a chair, away from everyone. Jasmine started singing to herself trying to calm herself. Sing the song Warrior that she had written to herself. Dimitri knew that Jasmine was right that his grandmother told him to take care of Jasmine.
The door open and Janine walked into the room. Tasha said, "it's good to see you, Janine. It's good that came." Our mother stood there, looking as stiff and impassive as ever. "Sorry I'm late," Janine said. "I had business to take care of." Janine sat down with them and soon joined in the conversation. Jasmine had long since discovered she could only talk about one subject: guardian business.
Christian looked up to find Jasmine sitting by herself with an unhappy look on her face and singing to herself. Christian, get up from this seat next to Vasilisa and moved to next Jasmine. Christian asked, "Is everything alright?" Jasmine looked up and said, No! Your Aunt Tasha didn't invent me to this party. She has been compelling Dimitri to be her guardian. Christian looked at Jasmine. Christian said, "I'm sorry Jazz!"
Jasmine wished her mother would say something to her before talking to the others. But no! Acting like Jasmine wasn't in the room or in the world. Jasmine wish could disappear and did not care about her.
Jasmine started feeling her powers started burning in her chest. Jasmine, breathing hard. The fire in the fireplace starts burning hotter sending sparks out of the fireplace. The temperature started rising to make the room feel hotter, than normal. Everyone started feeling it was harder to breathe for everyone. The wax on the candles started burning faster. The flames on the candles grow large than normal. The wine in bottles and wine glass started boiling. The wine bottles and wine glasses busted making the wine boiling on the table.
Christian asked, "Aunt Tasha. Did you forget to invite anyone to Christmas brunch? Tasha said, "No!" Christian said, "Bullshit! You didn't invite my best friend Jasmine. Tasha realized that Jasmine was Christian best friend. Vasilisa looked surprised to find out that Tasha didn't invite Jasmine to the party. Everyone was looking at Tasha and finding out that she didn't invite Jasmine.
Tasha said, "I thought Jasmine might be going to other parties here at academy." Christian said, "Jasmine doesn't go too wild parties. She is the one to throw the wild party. You misjudge her by her past and not seeing her true beauty with in. Jasmine was there for me. When everyone wasn't. Jasmine didn't judge me for my past. But you judge her for her past. When you should understand what is like to be judge for something you couldn't control.
Janine said, "how dare you not like my daughter Jasmine? You have no right to judge her. Jasmine is the best novice here at St. Vladimir's Academy. Jasmine was put in an international program and sent to St. Basil's academy in Russia. Stand a month with guardians Belikov family." Tasha found out Jasmine lived in Russia with the Dimitri family. They loved her. When Tasha couldn't get the family to like her.
Janine, Christian, Vasilissa, Rose, Mason get up from the table and walked over Jasmine. Jasmine rise her seat, Dimitri said Come Jasmine. Putting hand around Jasmine waist and heading to the door. Tasha said, "I have gifts for everyone." When the Christmas Tree busted in flames. Mason said, "not anymore." Tasha said, "Dimka." When the spinsters when off and water rains down on everything.
(December 26)
When Rose and Jasmine boarded the jet. Both were wearing sun shades that no one could see their eyes. Dimitri could see Jasmine and Rose both walking on the jet. Rose and Jasmine turn to examine Vasilisa and Christian sitting next to each other. Mason waved to Rose and said, over here beautiful." Rose walked to the left side of the jet. Damon said, "Jasmine!" Jasmine went to the right side of the jet and sit down next to Damon across Dimitri and Tasha.
Both Jasmine or Rose didn't pay mind to Tasha or Dimitri. Dimitri gets the feeling, they both were pointedly ignored them, and Tasha for something. Damon picked up Jasmine's hand and kissed her right hand. While Rose and Mason holding hands on another side of the plane. Dimitri could see both at the same time.
Tasha asked, "Dimka something wrong?" Dimitri said, "my students are upset with me for something." Tasha said, "The are children. They get over it." Dimitri said," I don't think so. Both Roza and Jasmine are not children."
Damon said a little loud for everyone to hear in the jet. "Did you hear the news at Princess Vasilisa Dragomir is losing her Guardian." Jasmine said, "No! Why in the hell would Guardian Belikov want to leave Princess Vasilisa for other Moroi?" Damon said, "I hear it Natasha Ozera." Jasmine looked shocked on her face and saying real loud, so did Natasha use compelled on Guardian Belikov again, or did Natasha Ozera have sleep with Dimitri this time? Maybe, Guardian Belikov should have to make a choice to stay with Princess Vasilisa Dragomir and our family.
Dimitri knew Jasmine was right that he would have to choose to stay with Vasilisa or lose Rose and Jasmine forever. Damon said, "The choice should be easy to stay with Princess Vasilisa Dragomir and our family. Family is the most important in this world. Tasha didn't understand what Jasmine or Damon was talking about. But Dimitri understands that he would have chosen his family or friend.
Captain Alberta's voice ring through out the jet and said, Guardian Belikov! Jasmine said, Oops! Was I being too loud again? Damon said, No! Dimitri looked up to find Captain Alberta storming down the alley heading straight at him. Dimitri swear in Russian again. (Ой! Дерьмо) (Meaning : Oh! Shit)
(A few hours later)
The resort was gorgeous. It was built to sort of look like a log cabin, but no pioneer cabin could have held hundreds of people or had such luxury accommodations. Three stories of gleaming, golden-colored wood sat among lofty pine trees. The windows were tall and gracefully arched, tinted for Moroi convenience. Crystal lanterns- electric, but shaped to look like torches- hung around all the entrances, giving the entire building a glittering, almost bejeweled look.
Mountains- which my enhanced eyes could just barely make out in the night- surrounded us, and I bet the view would have been breathtaking when it was light out. One side of the grounds led off to the skiing area, complete with steep hills and moguls, as well as lifts and tow ropes. Another side of the lodge had an indoor ice rink, which delighted me since I'd missed out that one day by the cabin. Near that, smooth hills were reserved for sledding.
Damon helps Jasmine get out SUV and with her bag. Dimitri saw Jasmine smiling and looking at Damon. Rose and Mason getting out SUV together. Holding each other hands. Mason was over the moon just be with Rose. Dimitri didn't like how Mason was smiling at Rose and Damon keep smiling at Jasmine.
Jasmine said, "after. We need to have a snowball fight or play dodge wars with each other. Mason said, "we hadn't had a good dodge war in years." Jasmine said, Pyro! Be our Moroi. Christian said, "I would love to be your Moroi and giving her one of his smiles." Vasilisa said, "Someone gets hurt. The way that your play dodge war." Rose said, "No one dies. Beside it, so fun." Eddie said, So what! Few people end up at the hospital wing with a broken arm, leg, ribs, or nose. Mason said, "it only happens few times." Damon said we could get the other novices to play.
Dimitri looked at Rose, Jasmine, Damon, and Mason and thought these dodge wars sound fun. Tasha asked, what is dodge wars?" Mason said, "it was kind of like Dodge ball. No rules and no balls! But with more hitting, biting, kicking, fighting and until their one person stands on the field is the winner." Eddie said, "Last time we play took three days." Captain Alberta said, "That was leaning to expressions for everyone."
The main lobby had a cathedral ceiling and an enormous chandelier hanging over it. Its floor was intricately tiled marble, and the front desk stayed open around the clock, ready to indulge our every need. The rest of the lodge, hallways, and lounges, had a red, black, and gold color scheme. The deep shade of red dominated over the other hues, and I wondered if its resemblance to blood was a coincidence. Mirrors and art adorned the walls, and little ornamental tables had been placed here and there. They held vases of pale green, purple-spotted orchids that filled the air with a spicy scent.
Lissa and Rose shared a room together, while Christian and Jasmine shared a room together. It was bigger than our dorm rooms put together and had the same rich colors as the rest of the lodge. They plan to have a triple date with Rose, Mason, Christian, Visilissa, Jasmine, and Damon to skiing. Almost all of the first-day skiing, though the two Moroi had a bit of trouble keeping up. Considering what Mason, Rose, Damon, and Jasmine went through in our classes.
Rose, Mason, Damon, and Jasmine weren't afraid to try daring stunts. Our competitive natures made us eager to go out of our way to outdo each other."You guys are suicidal," remarked Christian at one point. Jasmine said, "that makes you love us more Pryo."Everyone started to laugh at Jasmine come back.
Christian and Visilissa had been waiting at the bottom of the mogul hill, watching Mason, Rose, Damon, and Jasmine come down the hill together. We'd been moving at insane speeds. Mason grinned as we skidded to a halt, sending up a spray of snow all over Vasilisa and Christian. Vasilisa shook her head. "Aren't you guys taking this too far?" Mason and Rose looked at each other and said, "No." "Vasilisa said well, we're going inside. Try not to kill yourselves." 'Damon said Yes! Mommy." Everyone started laughing. Christian smiled and laugh. Vasilisa said, Damn children."
Jasmine turns to Damon and said, "I am getting a little cold." Damon pulled Jasmine to him and saying, "if you getting cold come here let me warm you with my lips." Dimitri standing nearby with Tasha and watching Damon kissing Jasmine in front of everyone. Mason said, "Get a room!" Jasmine said, OK! We take yours. Besides, you wouldn't be using it. Mason said, Hell No! Rosa laugh. Damon and Jasmine started kissing each other on the lips. Damon pulled Jasmine close and enjoy kissing Jasmine. Dimitri was getting upset with Damon kissing Jasmine in front of everyone. Tasha wasn't paying mind to what was happening around her.
Mason and Rose turn around to take the lift back up to the top of the hill. When Rose and Mason were just about to head down, Mason pointed. Mason asked, "Rose is it's Damon a guardian?" Rose said, "Yes!" Mason said, "Damon and Jasmine are together." Rose said, "something wrong with it?" Mason said. "No! They do spend a lot of time together after the attack on Jasmine." Rose said, "You know that attack Jasmine?" Mason said, "Jasmine was raped by three strigoi after an ice-skating partner Decode, and five guardians were killed by strigoi about ten miles from the academy."
Rose said Damon saved Jasmine after the attack three years ago. Jasmine with SUV that was attacked by Strigoi. Damon found Jasmine after the attack broken and all most dead. So if this make happy and enjoying together nothing wrong with it. Mason said Jasmine was only lived? Rose said Yes! Mason said Damn!
This course was as hard as I'd feared, but Rose pulled it off flawlessly, one insane move after another. Snow flew up around me as Rose made each sharp, dangerous turn. When Rose safely reached bottom, Rose, Jasmine, and Damon looked up and saw Mason gesturing wildly. Rose couldn't make out his expression or words, but Rose could imagine his cheers. They waved back and waited for him to follow suit.
But he didn't. Because when Mason got halfway down, he wasn't able to pull off one of the jumps. His skis caught, and his legs twisted. Down he went. Jasmine yelled, "Ducky!" We reached him at about the same time some of the resort staff did. To everyone's relief, Mason hadn't broken his neck or anything else. His ankle did appear to have a nasty sprain, however, which was probably going to limit his skiing for the rest of the trip. Jasmine said, "Ducky! How are you doing?" Mason said, "fucked up." Damon said, "you need more careful on the jumps."
One of the female instructors monitoring the slopes ran forward, fury all over her face. Started yelling Rose, Mason, Jasmine and Damon. Damon said, "please calm yourself. You just making it worst for them. Stuff like this happens all the time." Jasmine knew Damon was doing the best thing for them. She going to Damon's surprise later.
One of the female instructors said, "What were you kids thinking?" She turned on Rose. "I couldn't believe it when you did those stupid stunts!" Her glare fixed on Mason next. "And then you had to go ahead and copy her!"
