Chapter 5
Hadrian was dressed in a pair of black pants and a white button up shirt along with his dragonhide boots. He put on a pair of robes with the Potter family crest on his right chest. The family ring was on his left hand, signifying that he was indeed the heir to the family.
Ever since his elves healed him, his vision became better to the point where he did not need his glasses. Something that he was grateful for as he did not have to worry about them being knocked of to impede his vision. As he looked in the mirror to make sure that he looked like a proper heir to the House of Potter, his hair reached his green eyes in several uneven cut bangs. Due to his rigorous training he was taller than most his age.
He looked over himself in the mirror once more before he grabbed a dagger off the table and put it in his pocket. Just because he was meeting with these people did not mean that he was not going unarmed, that was something Severus had been insistent about, watch your back as he did not know what to expect. Now that he was ready, he made his way to the main room where the floo and Byakko would be waiting for him.
When he arrived at the main room, he noticed that Byakko was waiting for him along with one of the house elves "are you ready young one" Byakko asked to which he gave a nod. "Good, but before we go tap the mark on your arm this way no one will be able to track you" Hadrian did as he was told and tapped the mark on his arm. This way a certain meddling old man would not be able to find him.
The young heir turned his attention to the house elf "Bucky make sure no one gets in this house! Even though it is on lockdown I don't want anyone here without my approval".
Bucky replied to him "Bucky understands and will notify the other elves of young Hadrian's wishes. No one gets in without your permission sir". Hadrian flashed him a smile and gave a nod to elf.
He grabbed the floo powder and stepped into the fireplace with Byakko at his side and said "ICW commanders office" at that moment the green flames enveloped them both and transported them to the office where the adults were waiting for him.
They stepped out of the floo when they reached their destination and he looked at the other occupants and gave respective bow to the adults. "Good afternoon everyone. I trust you are all well" he wore his usual expressionless face. When he spotted Severus, he noticed that he was sporting a smirk on his face before speaking "hello dad, I trust you are well today". The three other adults were shocked but he couldn't tell if it was from the way he addressed Severus as his dad, the tiger next to him, or the fact that he acted like a proper heir to a pristine family.
Severus was simply enjoying the way the other were looking and decided to play along " I am well my son". He was silently enjoying the fact that everyone was stunned by the way they were speaking to each other.
Jack was simply astonished here was the boy he had not seen since he was an infant. The boy had the features of both Black and Potter families not to mention he was noticeably taller than regular six-year old. While wizards and witches grew faster than their muggle counter parts were true, this one seemed more astonishing. His hair might have been messy, but it was noticeably more tamed than James wild bird nest hair, he also had his mother's bottle green eyes along with his grandma check bones. To make a long estimation short the boy would be very handsome in the future.
Jack was about to speak but was stopped by Alex who spoke first "Mr. Potter I am Alexander Taymore the commander of the ICW" the man extended his arm and Hadrian shook it. Once, they let go of each other's hand he continued "my owe my you look like your father, but you have your mom's eyes. And you also have one of the traits from your grandmother".
"Thank you, commander! My grandfather spoke highly of you and even wrote about you in his journal, he mentioned that you and Lord Stevenson were part of the elite few that he and Lord Arcturus trained personally."
"Indeed, myself and Alex here" he jabbed a thumb to his friend to was still had trouble forming words "along with two others were personally trained by Arcturus and Charlus. Your grandfather was a good man and a heck of a warrior, him and your uncle were some of the best agents this agency has ever had in a long time". The man said with pride remembering his former leaders, they might have been tough on their recruits, but they got the jobs done and trained effective agents.
Jack regained his sense of self and walked up to the boy to say his piece "Hadrian! I mean Mr. Potter I can not tell you how sorry I am". Jack could barely look the boy in the eyes as it reminded him of his failure to protect the boy. I not only failed you, but I failed your parents and grandparents by not looking after you, when they were gone."
Hadrian could tell that the man meant what he said, he was using elemental sight and he could see no malicious intent "Lord Stevenson I do not blame you for what happened that night or my life with mom's sister family. We have both suffered at the hands of two idiots that have meddled in our in matters that didn't concern them" he gave the officer a small smile showing that he didn't hold him responsible for what happened in his life.
"Mr. Potter" Jack tried to speak again but Hadrian put up a hand to silence him "you can either call me Harry or Hadrian if you like my family spoke highly of you and I am willing to give you a chance if you will give me one".
Jack nodded his head fervently before recomposing himself "Severus here showed us what happened that night and has explained the plan to us. It is a good plan and while I would like to be the proxy for your adoptive father. I'm concerned with what Dumbledore would do as he has done a lot of underhanded things in the past".
Hayato spoke up and decided to remind the captain of what being a magus entails "you forget every magus is entitled to one wish. Since both Charlus and James wishes were negated then the wishes become Hadrian's . So, it's not impossible to follow with the plan" that brought a smile to Jack's face.
"On another note though why is there a tiger with you" he pointed to Byakko.
Hadrian replied, "gentlemen I like you to meet Byakko one of the four heavenly magical beast and my true familiar". The three adults were mimicking a fish while Hayato was as pale as a sheet and got on one knee with an arm over his heart.
"Great god Byakko it is an honor to be in your presence. I am Hayato Yamamoto a member of the Magus tribunal!"
"Rise Hayato Yamamoto" the god firmly spoke "we must get these proceedings underway. I believe you have some questions for my partner" it was not a question and the magus knew it.
"Yes of course" he got up and looked at Hadrian. My first question is how was Severus able to communicate with you as no spells or communications were on him? Second is how did you get a true familiar such as the white monarch? Lastly, you wish to attend Mahoutokoro?"
Hadrian cast a glare at his father, "it's alright Hadrian, Hayato will not say anything". He shot the man a glare and after confirming the man would not say anything then he decided to speak.
"To your first question I am a mentalist", he held up a hand to stop them from saying anything "please save all your question till the end" the adults gave a nod as a mentalist has not been seen for centuries.
"Since I'm a mentalist you know that I am linked to some people! Severus is one and the other is a little girl. To your second question Byakko chose to remain with me and become my true familiar. Yes, I wish to attend Mahoutokoro in Japan as I would like a challenge and be able to prove who I am. Also, this way I can be away from a certain candy loving fool" he said with determination.
The older man decided to speak "well I can honestly say that I am shocked not only are you a mentalist you also have a true familiar. Neither of those have been seen for centuries. You are correct though Mahoutokoro is the number one school in the world as we are known for nurturing advanced wizards and witches".
He paused to think for a minute "you are aware of the schools class system are you not" Hadrian gave a nod. "Good then you know that we care more about quality rather than quantity! Our courses are based on their origins and variations that come with them not their complexities like the education here or in other countries. The system there is based on your aptitudes of magic they are scored you will be put in either classes A, B, C, D or E. That is where the entrance exam comes in as we will be able to judge which class you belong in. There are chances where students can either rise or drop into classes based on their capabilities."
"I understand" Hadrian replied, "but I like to confirm something first". The man gave him a nod "the entrance exam is held the last week of February correct?"
"Correct and seeing how Severus he has been training you. I will be expecting high results from you" Severus let out a grunt.
The mere thought that Hadrian could not make it into one of the higher classes was a joke to Severus as his former master did not know what he was in for. His son was already more than capable and had no doubt that he would get the marks he needed on the exam. The boy might have been forced to use his grandfather's wand to practice spells and wand movements but if he were accepted to the magical school in Japan then he could get his own without any problems.
"Now the only thing to do is for you to make your wishes so we can move forward" he turned to Alex "go get the magus files and bring both the Potter males files here so we can make sure that there will be no issues".
The commander went in front of his bookshelves held up his badge and muttered a password, the stars on the badge and runes of the shelf lit up confirming the man's identity. Then the bookshelves slid apart from each other revealing a door that Alex walked through to retrieve the files of both the former magi's. While he was gone Jack decided to ask Hadrian something about his mentalist ability.
"Hadrian" the man spoke getting the young man's attention "you said you were linked to Severus and a little girl. Can you tell what this girl looks like"?
"Based on what I know the girl has black hair, grey eyes, looks about 4 years old, and has a few stuff animals that she likes to sleep with" Jack gave a nod and began thinking of who else Hadrian could be linked to. By then Alex came back in with the files and closed the bookshelf. He placed the files on the table before taking a seat on the couch.
"All you have to do is place your hand on the files declare your relations to them and make your wishes" Hadrian shrugged and sat down in front of the files taking a breath first. Severus stood behind him and placed a comforting hand on his right shoulder, while Byakko made to sit on his left and sit next to him for support as this was a big step for him.
"I Hadrian James Potter, grandson of magus Charlus Henry Potter here by wish that Lord Jack Stevenson be the proxy for my adoptive father; in the place of Severus Snape so mote be it". A white light enveloped Hadrian, Jack, and Severus telling them that the wish was accepted and that it will be ironclad and unbreakable with his grandfather wish accepted his named glowed silver. "Before I make my second wish, I would just like to say that while I might live with you and your family Mr. Stevenson. Severus is my adoptive father, and I would like it to remain that way! However, I would look to you as my uncle in all but blood".
"That is perfectly acceptable Hadrian, and I will not try and take Severus's place when I perform my duties. You have my word; besides, I like the sound of Uncle Jack" the man let out a chuckle while wiping a tear from his eye.
Hadrian placed his hand on his late father's file and repeated the process "I Hadrian James Potter, son of magus James Fleamont Potter here by wish to attend Mahoutokoro school in magical Japan for my education so mote be it" once again the a white light enveloped him accepting that he made the wish of his late father.
With that done Jack spoke "with those over and done with I need to go get the paperwork. This way no one can say anything about this arrangement of ours".
"Alright then", Severus started "but just to confirm Albus won't be able to get his hands on the paperwork correct?"
"You leave that to me I'll get both the original and the other copy this way not even Albus or any ministry representatives can get to it. The only ones able to get will be you, me, and my wife."
"While I hate to cut this short, I must get the paperwork before Albus does" everyone nodded as they understood what the man was talking about. Hadrian I will be discussing this with my wife and let her know what has transpired. Will you be able to come over at seven thirty tonight for dinner?"
"Yes, I will be able to come to night, however I would like my dad and master Yamamoto their as well to make certain on a few things".
"Agreed, then I will see you tonight and welcome to my family", Hadrian gave a smile to the man and returned the gesture. With that the captain got up and left the room to resume his job and to get the files needed.
Hayato was astonished at what has transpired today and decided to ask Hadrian a few more questions. Looking at Hadrian he wanted to test him to see what he knew about magic "Hadrian I like to ask you a few more questions is that alright", Hadrian just shrugged saying he did not care. How many magical combat forms are there and what are they?"
Hadrian knew this answer as he spent a lot of time in his library "as of now they're only five forms of combat: Battle Charms, Battle Transfigurations, Dark magic, Elemental battle, and Runic battles. However, the first three are the primary forms of combat as the other two are varied. The reason is because not everyone is an elemental and runic combat is an ancient form of combat before wands were created."
"Impressive not everyone believes and practice the old ways of magical combat" Hayato praised him. "Now explain about the three primary forms of combat along with their strengths and weaknesses."
"Battle Charms is best suited for enclosed spaces; the caster has to be precise, well-balanced, and creative. The weakness for this form of combat is that it is more suited for one on one battles and making them wide requires a lot more power; the strengths is that it is unpredictable and it will keep the person guessing as they won't know what spells are coming their way. Battle transfiguration is best suited for open areas given the fact its wand movements are wide; the caster needs to be flexible, open minded, and have great dexterity. The strengths is that it is hard for the opponents to protect themselves, it's a powerful form as it can cover large areas, and you will be able to turn the enemies attack back on them with something different. As for weakness it will not do much good in enclosed spaces and the movements are wide. Dark magic requires negative emotions and negative energies to power the spells it is suited for both enclosed and open areas; the caster needs to be unpredictable, powerful, and extremely dangerous. The strengths are that dark magic is hard to defend against as it can overwhelm the opponents, it can leave the opponents drained of energy, and be used to level large areas. The weaknesses are that because they require tremendous amounts of power it will leave the caster vulnerable to attacks, it has extraordinarily little defensive capabilities unlike the other two forms, the trajectory is straight forward, and it is hard to control".
The three adults were shocked here was a boy who knew more about battle magics than those that were older than him, Hayato let out a laugh before looking at Severus "I must say you taught him well as his theories on battle magics are incredible well done Severus." Hadrian was glad that his father was being vindicated as it was true that Severus taught him well. "Just a few more questions and that will be all Mr. Potter" the boy gave a nod.
"Why is it important to have more than one fighting form" Hadrian answered as it was obvious to him. "The reason why is that your opponents will be able to exploit the weakness of your fighting forms. Everyone has a primary fighting form to avoid any issues a second or third form will be required."
Hayato curved his lips as he was impressed with the young man in front of him. He proceeded to ask him a few more question on the other attributes of magic and words could not describe how impressed he was at the boys intellectual prowess he only hoped that practical work was of the same quality as this. Once he was done, he motioned to speak with Severus alone, he pulled out his wand and cast some privacy wards around them so they would not be overheard.
"I must say that he is rather an impressive young man the questions I asked him were on the entrance exam. If he performs this well on the exams, then will be little to no issue of getting him into class A" Severus let a smile appear on his lips. "I will speak with Headmaster Yoshi and let him know of what to expect in the coming months no doubt he will be eager to have the boy in his school. Rest assure Severus I will be discreet when I speak to him to make sure no one unsavory gets wind of this".
"Thank you" Severus began "don't worry I'll make sure he is ready for the exam in February". Hayato cancelled the wards and the two men walked near the others. Where Alex, Hadrian, and Byakko were speaking adamantly with each other.
"Hadrian" Severus said getting his son's attention "it's time for us to leave and I will need to return to Hogwarts. Are you ready to go" his son nodded and got up from the couch along with Byakko "I will see you at Stevenson Manor at seven-thirty be on time! You know how I feel about punctuality".
"I know dad. I know" Hadrian knew full well that it be best for him not to be late as wizarding etiquette dictated that the individuals were supposed to be on time. Severus hugged his son goodbye and watched him floo back home, he put his hood back on along with Hayato and exited the office. When they got to the apparition point Hayato said that he will see him later tonight before apparating away and Severus apparated in front of the gates of Hogwarts.

As Severus made his way through the entrance of the castle, he noticed that everything was calm. Something that he enjoyed the quiet was a given as the meeting went better than expected. Both Alex and Jack were on board with the plan and Hayato agreed that Hadrian can go to Mahoutokoro for the entrance exam in February. Hopefully, everything will continue to go smoothly, and nothing can interfere at least this way his son will be away from England and away from Albus influence. He remembered that he would have to arrange for his son to get his wand in Japan, with any luck either Hayato or Jack will be able to escort him.
These thoughts filled Severus's mind as he made his way to Professor Vector's office as he was sure she would be there. While he was sure that she would be able to keep his slytherin in line, it was still his house and he wanted to be sure. Severus made his way to the woman's office that was on the fourth floor and found her grading a set of essays. If anything, she was diligent in getting her job done and it distinctly reminded him that he only had to grade the sixth- and seventh-years reports. Deciding to do it later he gave a grunt to let her know he was there.
Septima turned her head from the assignments to see that Severus was by the entrance "oh hello Severus I didn't know you were already here. How was the meeting any difficulties" she asked knowing that obtaining a sorcerer's degree was no easy feat? Severus curled his lips before replying "surprisingly it went better than expected and Hayato was impressed with what I've been able to come up with."
The arithmancer gave him a tentative smile at the news, her colleague managed to impress his former master "congratulations Severus" the man gave her a nod. "I know you're going to ask and I am pleased to say that there were no problems when regarding your house while you were gone".
"Thank you for watching them, however there is something else I wish to inform you about" he said as he would have to leave again later. Septima motioned for him to say what he wanted to say, "go ahead Severus".
"It would appear that my old teacher wants me to join him for dinner tonight and he'll be bringing others to discuss my project" while it was not technically a lie he didn't want someone finding out that he was meeting with Jack and his family. Severus remembered back in his first year that the wall around Hogwarts have ears and no doubt people would listen in and start talking.
"Ah I see! That is understandable as I remember Filius and Minerva talking about having to do through the same thing when they were going for their sorcerer's" she gave a short laugh. Oh, she remembered well that the two older professors slaved for those degrees and they were constantly with either their peers or former masters. "So, when can we expect you back?"
"Probably around 9:30, it depends as I don't know who will be with us. With any luck I will be back sooner than expected", she had to resist rolling her eyes as she knew Severus was no social butterfly.
"Alright so I take it you will be leaving again and you will need me to continue to look after your house" if Septima could be honest she didn't mind looking after his house despite what people say not all of the students were bad.
Severus gave her one of his famous looks "it would be appreciated if you would." To which the professor gave him a shrug telling him that she would. With that done Severus headed toward the headmasters office to let him know where he would be later today.
As Severus was making his way to the old man's office, he ran across a couple of third year Hufflepuff's who were playing around in the corridor. When they noticed him, they immediately straightened up their uniforms as some of them were messy. The potions master gave them his famous frosty glare that told them 'leave now' the puff's wasted no time in heading back to their common room. It did not take long for him to get to the staircase to where the old man's office was.
"Sugar quills"
He never could understand the old man's love for sweet as to him they would rot anyone's teeth. Making sure that his mental shields were in place he ascended the stairs toward the door and was about to knock when he heard "come in Severus". Entering the office, he noticed that Minerva was their as well and that did not help his mood as he was still peeved at the woman.
"Ah Severus" Albus began "how was meeting with Mr. Yamamoto?"
Severus told them that the meeting went well and that he was having dinner with the man along with a few others that will be joining them. He explained that Septima had already been warned that he be leaving for dinner with them to discuss the project in more depth. Dumbledore acknowledged the reason why as he saw Minerva about to speak about him leaving again.
"That does seem the case as I remember doing the exact same when I got my Sorcerers Grand Sorcerers degrees. So, I can understand why they would want to meet with you again" he acknowledges the man.
Minerva spoke up after being silent during the explanation "does it have to be today as they know that you are teaching, and the yule break has not started yet?"
Dumbledore was about to speak but Severus beat him to it "for merlin sake woman must you question everything I do" he sneered at her. "Besides, I didn't know that I was a prisoner here in this castle and needed your permission to do things that related to my personal life."
Minerva was shocked at the way he had just spoken to her "Severus I didn't mean it that way. I was only trying to keep things on track as it is nearing the break and all of the teachers are stressed".
Severus simply gave her a cold stare "then pray tell Minerva why it is you seem incapable of disciplining your impudent lions. As far as I see it you seem to let them get away with a lot rule breaking's".
The older professor was about to retort that his house was not perfect either and that there have been instances where his slytherin were in the wrong on a few occasions. Dumbledore stopped them before they can go any further "Severus, I understand your feelings my boy. I to felt that some of the students often get away with certain things but it is the students head of houses responsibility to keep them in line. Minerva please calm yourself Severus is not a prisoner here as he is working on his current project for his degree."
"I'm pretty sure you remember what you had to go through when you were going for your research project and what it entailed" he said firmly.
"My apologies Severus I know things are difficult for you as I forgot the stress and requirements of gaining a sorcerers degree."
Severus gave her a critical look before looking back at Albus "if that is all I will be taking my leave now". He turned and made his way to exit the office as he had no wish to be there any longer.

Back at the ICW Jack returned to his office after visiting the medical bay to get a check to see how much he had been obliviated. When the medical officers were done scanning him, they told him that he had been obliviated on multiple occasion. While he might have been an experienced occlumens not everything was missing as he was able to retain some memories. They were able to undo the obliviations and now he had a splitting headache as the memories came rushing back in full force.
That was just after retrieving the guardianship files for Hadrian and looking over them. Looking over both copies as it indicated he and his wife were now the boys guardians there was no way that Dumbledore would be the boys guardian anymore. It still burned him in the inside that not only did Dumbledore steal the rights of magical guardian from him, but the old man also had the audacity to obliviate him to make sure that he would forget.
Jack took a breath to relax his nerves and went to the floo to inform Sarah that they would be having guest tonight, grabbing some floo he called home "Stevenson manor. Sarah are you there".
His wife head appeared in the flames "hello honey is there something you need"?
"Yes, can you come to my office please theirs something I like to discuss with you privately and I don't want anyone to overhear us" he said firmly.
"Alright I'm coming through" she pulled her head out and in a green flash of light she came through the fireplace. Now that she was here, he told her about the meeting he had with Alex, Hayato, and Severus and everything that was said during the meeting. Needless to say, she was speechless as she couldn't decide whether to either out right kill the headmaster for what she had done to her husband and the Potter family or to go and see the young child right now. Sarah even agreed that having them both as proxies in Severus place would keep certain people off his back so that he cannot be blamed. Since they were coming to the manor tonight maybe it would be better to send Emily to Japan as well.
Leaving her thoughts, she looked at her husband "would it be possible to send Emily to Japan as well" her voice was full of concern as she did not know what the headmaster would do to her daughter. Jack grabbed her hand and looked her in the eyes "I do not know but I will ask Hayato at dinner maybe she can be sent over there."
Sarah thought for a moment and gave him a nod "do you have the paperwork for Hadrian", Jack went to his desk picked up both copies and handed it to her. After verifying that everything was in order and that they were indeed his guardians now, she turned back to her husband "okay should I know anything else".
"When everybody comes over tonight lockdown the manor as Albus has Harry's blood and will be able to track him" he said. She gave him a nod and put the files in her robes pocket before leaving the office.
Once she was gone Jack made went to go see how the recruits were doing. Hopefully, Shelby did not run them into the ground, schooling his features he made his way to the training ground as the cadets would undoubtedly be there training. It did not take long to get their as when he arrived, he noticed that she was looking down at the cadets who looked drained. Knowing how she can be extremely tough when it came to training, he felt that he should take over.
"Lieutenant Burnett", he spoke to get her attention "how are we looking so far any of them disappoint you" he half joked.
She gave him a speculative look "surprisingly none of them caved and while pains it me to do admit to this they all passed the written exam" she said before reluctantly giving him 15 galleons. "A pleasure doing business with you" he said with an amused smile. "I'll take over from here, you go ahead and head back to the office. This shouldn't take long as seeing as they went through most oof the schedule today the only thing left is the dueling".
"Are you sure you can handle it by yourself or do I need to help you Jackie" she asked sarcastically.
"Easy with the sarcasm Shelly I can handle it from here" they saluted each other and with that she left to go back to her office.
Well time to pick up where she left off, he thought to himself. He called them all over to inform them that they all passed the written exam, that was met with a sigh of relief as none of them failed. The next hour was strictly for dueling purposes.
All the cadets stood at attention waiting for what the captain was about to say "I'm pleased to say that all of you passed the written exams this morning" he began. The cadets let out a sigh of relief none of them had failed the exam meaning there will be no punishments.
With that said Jack took them through the dueling course, where the training dummies were located. Unlike regular dueling dummies the ones they used were of a higher caliber as they were programed with dueling styles of various masters. Not only that they had to be quick on their feet and make decisive choices.
Today though they had to cross the finish line, which was about 50 yards away and guarded by what seemed like twelve magical dummies. There setting was on level 5 meaning that the cadets were in for a workout today. Most of them took a deep breath to brace what was about to happen. Jack had them line up and told the others to line up behind that person. With that done he let out a canon fire with his wand signaling the person to begin, he watched as the cadet dash toward the finish line either evading, blocking, or blasting through the dummies.
The first few made it pass the dueling course with only minor injuries nothing to serious. With that the other cadets followed suit and did the obstacle course; the last four may have had a little more difficulty. But in the end, they made it pass the finish line panting hard. All the cadets were tired with only a few fell to there knees.
Jack had to grudgingly admit that they did well, while he may have expected better results. Their performance was good enough to pass "alright listen up maggots" everyone got up and stood at attention. "The performance today was better than yesterday's, these are the results I expect from all of you. Is this understood" he said firmly.
"Yes Sir", they all shouted
Jack eyed them all critically before speaking "It is the weekend tomorrow, so I suggest that none of you forget your training and be ready come Monday. Dismissed". With that said they all went to go to the locker room to change out of there workout clothes. Jack went back to his office to file his report about the cadets progress, back in the office he submitted all the reports about todays lessons. Now with that complete he exited the office and went to the apparition point to go home. It did not take long, and he noticed that people were leaving to return home for the day.

At Stevenson manor Sarah and Emily were sitting on one of the sofas in the main room. Sarah was currently braiding her daughter's hair while she was in her lap. The next thing she knew was that the wards told her that her husband was home from work. Her husband stepped in the house and the next moment their daughter got up from her mother's lap "daddy" she exclaimed.
Emily bolted to her dad and jumped on him giving him a hug. Jack spun her around and kissed her on her forehead "hello sweetheart how is you doing", he asked her. She replied "good daddy, I missed you" she buried her head in his neck. He carried her to the couch where his wife was and gave her a kiss as well before sitting down with his daughter still on him.
Jack looked up to the clock and saw that it read 7 o'clock time for dinner, he was about to get up when the floo flared up showing Hadrian's face. "Ah Hadrian please come through I would like you to meet my family" not needing to be told twice Hadrian and Byakko came through. He had an assortment of flowers with him as he was unsure how to react to his wife yet.
"Hello everyone, I thank you for allowing me to come here today" he turned to look at Sarah as she was awestruck by his mannerism and the white tiger next to him. "Lady Stevenson I brought these for you, I hope you don't mind".
"Not at all Hadrian and please call me Sarah or Aunt Sarah if you prefer. Jack has already told me about the conversation you had with him" he looked at his new uncle. "I am terribly sorry about not taking you in that day your parents passed. Please believe me when I say that we tried to get custody of you, but we were blocked thanks to Albus to many names Dumbledore".
To him she sounded sincere and her words did not harbor any deceit "I do not blame you for that night as I know what he did" he assured her that he arbored no ill treatment toward her.
"But please either Hadrian or Harry works for me" this brought a smile to her face. "Allow me to introduce my true familiar" he jabbed his thumb toward the tiger next to him. "This is Byakko, one of the four heavenly magical beasts of the magical world" he introduced him. "Hello milady you have nothing to worry about as I will not harm you or anyone here. I can tell that you and your husband harbor no resentment toward my cub here".
Sarah and Emily were shocked as the Tiger had just spoke English to them. This was something that truly shocked them as the only animals able to talk were manticores and acromantulas. Emily got up from her father's lap and went to go meet the pair "hello my name is Emily I hope we can get along".
Hadrian gave the young girl a smile and greeted her back "hello young one. You exactly like your mother but with your dad's eyes" he said hoping to make her smile. The young girl smiled at his comment and immediately jumped on him "mommy can I play with Hadrian please" she asked cutely.
"Sorry Emily but after dinner your going to have a bath then go to bed for the night" she spoke to her daughter who was now looking sad at the fact that she cannot play anymore today. Harry spoke up trying to cheer her up "Emily" he spoke to get her attention "probably when I can come by again, I can play with you okay".
"Promise" she asked
"Promise little one" he said while giving her a smile. 'What is wrong with me? Why do I feel a pull toward this girl' he mentally asked himself?
"What do you mean by pull Harry" she asked him innocently.
He was flabbergasted as were the other people in the room "I didn't say anything Emily" he said softly this was new. "I heard you say that you felt a pull towards me" she confirmed.
"Well I guess this answer the question as to who else I am linked to" he said looking at Jack who was in a daze before snapping out of it.
"It would appear so then" he said before turning to his wife. "Well it seems as though our daughter is a mentalist dear and she is linked to Harry".
Sarah was completely awestruck as to find out that her daughter was a mentalist and already linked to someone. She was about to speak when Hayato and Severus walked through the floo network.
Severus looked between his son and the small girl and looked to the girl's parents for an explanation. They confirmed that she was the other one who was linked to Harry as they did not have to spend their time searching for some random person he might be linked to.
Remembering what her husband told her she placed the manor on lockdown and motioned for everyone to go into the dining room for dinner. There they told her everything as Jack gave her the general idea of what was going to happen. Sarah immediately agreed to everything as she did not have any objections. She later asked Hayato would it be possible for Emily to attend school with Harry when she was old enough for it.
He said he will have to talk with Headmaster Yoshi and ask if he approved of the decision as well. Sarah knew that the Japanese ministry had a grievance with England as they would not bend to the wishes of Albus. From what she knew from her husband Dumbledore caused a lot of problems when it came to Grindelwald and Voldemort as he sat back and did nothing. These two dark wizards caused a lot destruction in Japan, so it was natural that they be pissed.
After dinner was over and the dishes were gone, it was time for the others to talk. Emily said goodbye to everyone before giving Harry a hug goodbye. Throughout dinner her and Harry quickly got along and began to mentally speak to one another. Sarah picked up her daughter and took her to give her a bath, wishing everyone a goodnight.
Jack decided to speak when his wife and daughter left the room "Severus I may have an idea that might work for us" he said while looking at him. "I'm all ears Jack" was all he said
"Seeing as how Hadrian will be going to take the entrance exam for Mahoutokoro he will need to be accompanied by someone. I can try to take off work, but I can't guarantee it will happen."
Severus gave a curt nod as he understood "what about Hayato" he looked at his former master. "I wish I could Severus, but I am regulating the exams for the newcomers and my hands will be tied" he looked apologetic at Hadrian who just shrugged.
"Well if you and Hayato can't do it then who do you have in mind" he asked carefully
"There is Arcturus and Cassiopeia to consider. After all they are related to Harry though his grandmother Dorea".
"You expect me to put my son anywhere near those two" he said severely at the man incision.
"Calm down Severus" he tried to appease the man "neither Arcturus nor sister will harm Hadrian I can assure you. I know both well and I can personally say that they will not harm him. Arcturus cares about his family very much despite how people portray him the man cares more about his family than anything else."
Severus thought about this for a few minutes outweighing the pros and cons of the thought of Harry being near the two old Black's. However, for some reason Jack seemed to trust them, while it may have been true that Charlus and Arcturus viewed each other as brothers that was a long time ago. He was not sure if the old man would give the same courtesy to his son. From what he knew the Black family were blood purist, while Harry might be a pureblood it was unclear if they knew.
'Dad' Severus turned to his son 'it might be worth the risk if we ask for a private meeting with them then it could help. All we have to do is invite them to Uncle Jack's office with commander Taymore there and make the situation perfectly clear to them.'
'Perhaps but we have to be sure of who's side they are on. For all we know they could be sympathizers of the Dark lord and I personally don't want to take the chances of any of the other death eaters getting wind of what we are up too.'
'While I agree with you dad but like I said there will be precautions in place like Byakko here as he will be there to handle them if they get out of control and remember the dagger you told me to keep with me. I still have it in my robes'
Severus thought about this for a few more minute before relenting "alright fine if you can get them to come then fine but I want to be there to make sure everything goes smoothly".
"I trust commander Taymore will be there in the meeting" he said it with concern. Jack gave a nod "yes and rest assure Severus their will be precautions in place"
"There had better be" he replied firmly.
Now that that was out of the three occupants who were not living at the manor got up to leave. Jack promised to write to the two Blacks in the morning requesting that they use discretion when coming to his office at the ICW. With that out of the way everyone went to their respective home to go to bed for the night.
A/N: Here Harry learn who the other person he is linked to. Now that Hadrian used the Magi's wishes he can attend Mahoutokoro and Albus cannot have any control over him. As for Arcturus and Cassiopeia they will be prominent characters in this story as I have plans for them.
