-.- Into the Woods

October arrived bringing with it the icy weather that reminded Ace of the winter islands. And as all winter weather, brought with it the colds of the season that overwhelmed the school like a plague, sickening half of its students and teachers alike.

Ginny Weasley was saved from this, finding refuge in the kitchen where the elves completely upset and disturbed saw how the girl prepared cookies and cakes to practice what little she had learned in her mother's house, and copied in a small black and ramshackle notebook what she saw that the elves were preparing to practice it later.

Ace and his friends, had been saved from this too, staying in an acceptable range of Ace, as his fruit generated enough heat for the five boys and was even safe to go out onto the grounds without freezing, although they did not stay there long before disappearing in the frozen shadows of the forest when it was not raining.

Their favorite visiting point in the forest was a clearing next to a large rock formation that was the favorite resting place of the three-headed forget friend who, now that he was not in the castle, felt lonely but free.

Unfortunately he was not the only friend that Ace had and that lived somewhere in the forest.

As was to be expected of Ace, and remembering how restless he was, it was no surprise that during the fabulous summer he had engaged ... let's call it, a relationship with new creatures even though these creatures clearly did not consider this a friendship ... or maybe they did.

Two mountain trolls remained covered in the shadows of the forest while a third hit right and left in an attempt to hit even once the annoying human jumping from one side to another, all in order not to give him a chance to give a knock.

Ron and Neville kept their distance, watching the fight, while the redhead exclaimed things like "Get him" "Come on you can do it" and different words of encouragement, while, next to the rock formation, Fluffy rested, with Hermione leaning against his enormous leg, holding a large book that she read.

The twins entered the clearing just as Ace clenched his fist tightly and concentrated to strike, the blow was accurate, knocking the troll down completely, but Ace exclaimed: "Oh, Come on!" Before looking at his fist and hitting him several times against his palm for every word he said. "Why... this... thing... don't... works"

"Still unable to control it?" Fred asked as he absently caressed one of Fluffy's head.

"Yes" the girl answered while watching the pirate say goodbye to the angry trolls "seems to be working only eighty percent of the time"

"I really do not understand why you want to become stronger" Ron asked as the boy approached.

"You're never strong enough" he said hitting his hand managed to acquire the peculiar black color in his hand that indicated he had managed to activate the Haki. "Oh, that's how it is"

George leaned down to watch better. "It must be a wrist movement"

"Nah, it's something else that I'm doing wrong. Haki don't work that way."

Hermione upon hearing the term her first question was, what was that? She had never heard it, but when she tried to find some reference information, she found nothing. Maybe it was not something that had to do with magic, the word sounded foreign, but it was not the first time that Ace drew a strange term that she did not know, and did not find anywhere.

She still did not know anything about the Devil Fruit he had said last year, but she was determined to find it on her own, before turning to him, and Ace did not press her. "I know I can find it by myself"

"Hey, guys, what are you doing here?" Exclaimed a voice from the forest.

Hagrid was advancing towards them, crossbow in hand, and with an expression of concern.

"Hi Hagrid," said Hermione cheerfully.

"Nothing of 'Hello Hagrid', it's dangerous to come to the forest and you all know it"

"But Fluffy," said the girl releasing her book and placing her hand on the huge leg "he is alone in this place, and we miss him"

In response, and to dramatize the commentary further, the twins embraced the nearest head, which was the one with the worst personality, and only growled.

"Still, it's dangerous"

"But that's why Fluffy is with us"

At some point in Hermione's thought, Ace had left the group with Neville to practice a little. It was worrying to think of Neville fighting, but in terms of self-confidence that was doing wonders on the boy.

"Something is not working here," Ace muttered suddenly.

And Neville remained in his place, practically stunned.

"I think he is doing very well," Hermione said.

"I'm not saying that he is not," Ace muttered, "it's just that I feel like we're reaching a limit."

In search of inspiration diverted his attention to another point, where he saw Ron carrying Hagrid's crossbow and then remembered something of his life. Two small children in a garbage dump, who after a beating discussed their options, and their limits.

"Yes, Neville needs something, we cannot continue with his fists, he needs a weapon."

Only Hagrid and Hermione protested.
