Chapter 19

Pretty soon it was the 29th the day of the ball. Hadrian had come to terms with what he did at Hogwarts. It was a necessary evil. He had just received his progress report and gave it to his uncles so they could view it, needless to say they were pleased with him. It said that he was tied for first place with Miwa and the teachers were considering skipping them over next year. Emily also got her report as well and couldn't have been happier with her results as it seemed that she will make third place in her year.

Severus was pleased when he found out and congratulated them both. Later that day Hadrian and Emily decided to get ready at Potter castle. Harry dressed in blue acromantulas silk robes, his clothes underneath were designed by well-known fashion designer in MACUSA, his black dress pants were pressed, and he donned his dragonhide shoes. His hair was tamed thanks to the magical shampoo he used. Emily decided to where an emerald green dress and a pair of black flats. Her hair was flowing down as she didn't want anything done to it. Now that both were dressed, they met as they were heading down the stairs where the adults were.

Making it to the ground floor they were met by Jack and Sarah who were in their respective clothes for the occasion (Jack was wearing his formal ICW uniform and Sarah had a similar dress like her daughter but it had a trim, she was wearing heels, and wearing some beautiful jewelry). "You to look amazing" Sarah said happily. She looked at her two kids and they truly did look amazing.

"I really don't want to go to the ball" Harry grumbled. These events were not his definition of a good time. He was much more of a warrior rather than a dancer. Oh well at least Sarah took the time to give him dancing lessons, so he wouldn't make a fool of himself.

Jack looked at him "Hadrian we talked about this" he gently chastised "while I understand you don't like these sort of things you have to make an appearance as you are the last of the Potters."

Harry just sighed at what he said "well at least Miwa can suffer with me" he commented. Arcturus said he and Cassiopeia will not be going as they had important things to do, Harry thought it was just an excuse but didn't voice the opinion. Sirius on the other hand said he would be in attendance. The silver lining was that was that at least Miwa and his friends at Hogwarts would come. Severus also got an invite as he was the head of the wealthy Prince family.

Jack led everyone outside, to where the apparition point was; he held Emily while Sarah held Harry's.

"Is everyone ready" he asked.

Everyone gave a nod and with a silent pop they were gone from the premises.

The next moment they were at the entrance of the hotel in Magical India. The grounds were expertly done as the hedges were trimmed to perfection, with some looking like a variety of animals. They proceeded to the main gate where the guards were located, Jack showed his badge and their invitations. After finding their names on the list the guard allowed them through the gates. They walked through the inner part of the gates and were impressed with how the road looked, along with the statues of the various witches and wizards. The fountain up ahead was a sight to behold as it showed a grown wizard with his wand in the air. Upon getting closer it said, 'In memory of Ruler of the Magical world King Arthur Pendragon.'

Arriving at the front of the hotel, the doors were beautiful, and the knobs were made of pure gold. The doors magically opened revealing a beautiful entrance. They were led to big ballroom that was decorated with what could assume be the definition of royalty, the roundtables were scattered and decorated like they were meant for high-ranking individuals. Everything was made of expensive marbles the chandelier was beautiful and looked be worth over 62 million galleons considering it was made with expensive materials.

Harry looked around only to see that Miwa and her parents were already sitting down at one of the tables. The said girl spotted them, whispered something to her parents and made their way to them. Miwa was the first to get to them and gave Hadrian a warm smile and gave both him and Emily a hug, which they returned.

"You look great Shizuku" she said while looking at the younger girl. "And Phantom you ready for march?" She asked while saying his nickname in Japanese. Harry see the mischievous look in her eyes as he was more than ready for the duel.

"Bring it on storm slasher" he adopted a mischievous grin "I have some new moves I want to test out. Hope you're ready!"

Miwa wearing a navy-blue knee length dress and wearing the hairpins she got from him for her birthday. Her hair was down as she couldn't put it in a ponytail like she usually did.

"Well, aren't you a sight for sore eyes" a voice said.

Harry looked behind her and saw that her parents were coming near. Ichika Kawada held an imposing figure for a man in his late 30s Miwa got her hair color from her dad, while her mom Karai was indeed a lovely woman in her own rights. The two parents took a liking to him and the Stevenson's.

"Lord and lady Kawada its nice to see you again." Hadrian said with a respectful bow.

Ichika gave a warm chuckle "Harry how many time do I have to tell you no formalities with us." He added a smirk.

Harry just shrugged "it's a habit" he said casually.

Her husband decided to talk to the other adults while his wife continued to speak with Hadrian and Emily. "I take it you are doing well Harry. My you look like you grew again."

"Thank you, Mrs. Kawa…" he stopped after receiving a glare form the woman "I mean aunt Karai" he corrected himself. The woman was dangerous in her own right as he understood Miwa took more after her than her dad. "Did you receive our gifts?"

"We did" she confirmed "they were thoughtful. Did you receive ours?"

"We did" they both said in unison. Harry received a bo staff from them while Emily got a book about water elementals.

She then asked them to sit with her and her family which they accepted happily. They took their seats Emily was on Harry right while Miwa was on his left and the three began talking about how things were going at their respective school.

It wasn't long before the other guest started to arrive, and it was filling the room up with important high-ranking individuals from across the world. Sirius had come with Amelia and Susan. Harry was aware that the former and Sirius had a relationship before he was put in Azkaban. While Sirius was getting his occlumency shields back up thanks to his aunt, Amelia and he kept in contact. He was frosty with her for not figuring out what really happened do to him being incarcerated but he came around saying that he didn't blame her.

They were soon followed by the Greengrass's, then the Davis's, and Zabini's along with the other members of Hogwarts prestigious families. After the greeting were taken care of the music started playing indicating that the first dance was beginning. Harry first dance partner was Miwa and the two moved well together, while also sharing a silent conversation. The next person he danced with was Tracey, she was wearing a red dress and had low pumps on. After sharing a few songs with her they went back to the tables. Harry saw that a few of the heirs from the other nations of the world were trying to get Daphne to dance with them.

From what he saw she was not in the mood to dance with any of them. The few she did dance with only seemed to agitate her and she often gave them frosty glares. Deciding to help her out he walked up to where the boys were trying to talk to her. There were a total of four boys surrounding her, he casted a glance at her parents and saw that her father was not looking to happy. Moving over to her he walked past all four of them and held out a hand "heiress Greengrass would you honor me with a dance?" His trademark grin was in place, something she had gotten used to.

Daphne looked at him for a moment and with a smile she responded "it would be my pleasure heir Potter" she took his hand and led her to the dance floor. Ignoring the glares, the other boys were giving him.

Taking his right hand into his, he put his other hand on her waist. She placed her right hand on his shoulder and smirked at him. Daphne was wearing a beautiful black dress, her hair was in a halo and flowed down her, and she was also wearing low pumps. Much to her annoyance as she didn't like them. They proceeded to dance to a couple more songs until Daphne whispered in his ear "is a reason why you asked me to dance Mr. Potter?"

"I saw that you were not really enjoying yourself dancing with the other stooges" he replied. "And I figured a woman such as yourself would want someone who would actually be better suited to be your partner."

Daphne giggled at what he said "thanks for saving me. I can't stand going to some of these balls. Most of the time it's just some stuck-up pureblood idiot trying to gain my family favor. They only care about my name and the power my family holds."

Harry just smirked at her "then must make me the exception then" he commented as he twirled her.

Daphne adopted a questionable look "don't push it smarty. Compared to the others you are the more logical choice, so continue being you and I might keep you around" she teased.

"Is their anyone who else I should be" he joked.

"Prat" she said but there was a smile on her face. Truth be told she would have preferred to dance with him as she really didn't socialize with anyone else. Her dad warned her to be careful of the many heirs that would try and win her over. A prime example would be Malfoy and Nott their fathers were trying to get a marriage contract signed between her and one of their son's.

Cyrus told them flat out that he would never sign a contract. He never condemn his children to a contract especially not as people as shady as those two individuals. In his opinion they were not worthy of being potential mates for his girls.

Harry and Daphne danced to a few more songs until they were tired and went to go get some refreshments. Grabbing some water, they went back to their respective tables to receive their meals for the night.

The chairman of the ICW gave a speech about how they could improve the magical world, along with the upcoming tournaments for various competitions. At Harry's table him, Miwa, and Emily just tuned him out. The man looked very old and his voice made Harry want to pass out just like the others in Binn's class. Luckily, for him he didn't pay attention to the ghost as he always put an ear buzzing charm on himself and did his own assignments for the class.

After the meals were done Harry got up to whisper something in Sarah's ear "would it be alright if me, Emily, and Miwa can go outside by the fountain?"

She gave him a nod and the three of them were out of the building. Making it to the fountain they breathed a sigh of relief. "I hate going to these things" Miwa said.

"I know how you feel" Harry commented "well on a happier note soon I will be back in Japan for two and a half weeks. That's what I'm waiting for."

"Oh, you poor baby" she playfully mocked him. ""I'm pretty sure you can survive another few months.

Emily was giggling at the exchange between them. "Can you wait that long for a proper challenge" he teased back. From what Emily, here told me you miss the competition!"

Miwa glared at the girl, who hid behind her brother. "I'll admit that it's been boring since you left. No has been able to present me with a challenge" she commented. Ever since Harry left, she's been mostly alone, while she may have had some female friends, they didn't compare to him.

"Then miss Kawada I will do my best to give you the challenge you so deserve" he gave a mock bow.

Miwa just laughed "you better" she pretended to be serious. "Because I don't plan on losing the exams to you!"

"On another note, I heard something rather interesting from my uncle. Apparently, some raven-haired boy made some improvements to the patronus charm. Rather interesting wouldn't you say" she leaned in while glaring at him.

Harry just scratched behind his head "well I would say that the person was pretty ambitious" he chuckled nervously.

She crossed her arms around her chest "and when was said person going to tell me that he made a discovery. Hm?" Giving him an inquisitive look.

"It must have slipped his mind" he suggested. "After all, with as much as he has to put up with it's a wonder, he could remember anything" he casually said.

"Really" she put her hands on her hips "because I happen to know the boy since the first day of school and he doesn't seem the type to forget" giving him a mischievous grin.

Harry putt his hands up in defeat "alright you got me" he chuckled at her. "I did intend to tell you, but I really was busy.

Miwa spun around "really you couldn't even bother to call and tell your best friend about your discovery" she pretended to be upset.

Harry grew a smile on his face and put his arms around her shoulders "you know I would have told you eventually storm."

A ghost of a smile was starting to form on her face "still not happy with you" she commented.

"Would I be forgiven if I show you how to do it when I'm back in Japan?" he asked.

"I will consider it" Harry saw a grin on her face. So, he decided to play along "your so good to me storm" he replied.

She just laughed "you better show me" she turned around and poked him in the chest.

"I'll be showing Shizuku the spell over the summer anyway." Emily bounced on her feet when she heard what he said.

"I only wish that I could compete in the dueling tournament like you two" she said.

Miwa walked over to her "don't worry you'll still have your brother back when I get done with him!"

Harry just laughed "keep dreaming. You know that I am better at magical combat than you Miwa."

She whirled around "well it's a good thing that I will be competing in the swordsmanship division! Or haven't you forgotten how skilled I am when it comes to using blades?"

Harry definitely remembered as the woman was a demon with a blade, some of the cuts he got were from her personally. That didn't mean that he was a slouch. In fact, they were about even in skills and the victor would only be decided on who wants it more.

Harry was about to retort when a voice rang out "Miwa time to go." He didn't even have to turn around as he knew it came from her mom.

"Fun's over! I guess I'll see you in March" she said.

"Count on it storm slasher" they gave each other a hug and then she went to go meet her parents but not before giving Emily a hug as well. When she got to them, she waved goodbye and they apparated away.

Harry looked at his sister "you ready to go back inside. She gave him a nod and they headed back to the hotel. Walking through the doors they were met by their guardians.

"Time to go home" Jack said. Harry looked relieved as he had been more than ready to go. He grabbed his hand while Emily grabbed her mother and with a silent pop apparated away.

The rest of the holiday came and went quickly. Harry and the others soon found themselves in one of the train compartments. He made sure to put some wards on the door to keep out any unwanted guest. Once it was done, he took out a book about advanced dueling spells whilst everyone else began talking in earnest about their vacation.

The train ride was mostly smooth that was until they got halfway to school and the two gryffindors they wanted tried avoiding try to enter the room. The rattling of the door got everyone's attention as they were enjoying watching the two become red in the face. Granger tried to use unlocking charms, but they had no affect on the door much to her irritation. She tried to yell something, but Harry thought ahead and added a powerful silencing charm to ensure they wouldn't have to listen to her.

Weasley tried banging on the door but it didn't do anything, eventually the two stormed off into another compartment.

Tracey was the first to speak "well that was entertaining" she commented after recovering from her laughter. "Although you know Granger is going to tell the teacher!"

"Eh" Blaise casually said "let the teacher's pet do as she pleases. If we stick with the plan, then we should be fine" he said leaning back.

"Everything is in place" Hadrian said turning a page "we have the crystals and our head of houses have been notified." Everyone gave a nod.

Daphne followed up with "if the meeting doesn't happen the way it's supposed to, we go to plan B" she looked at Blaise, who gave a confirmational nod.

"In short, we got our bases covered" Harry said as he got up. "Well, I'm going to step out. Blaise are you coming?"

Blaise gave a quick "yes" and allowed Harry to remove the wards. The pair stepped out of the room so the girls could change. When the girls were done the boys stepped in and changed into their clothes.

The rest of the ride went smooth until they arrived in hogsmede. Hagrid led them inside where Professor McGonagall was waiting with both Weasley and Granger who were sporting superior looks.

"Mr. Potter I have received some disturbing complaints about you on the train. Come with me to the headmaster office" she said it in a nonsense voice.

The eight students went to accompany the professor to the office, however the stern professor turned around to see that the others were following. "What are the five of you doing?" she asked the teens who were coming.

"We're making sure that the facts are present during the meeting professor" came Tracey.

"What do you mean miss Davis?"

"It's no secret that the slytherins don't like Professor Dumbledore and seeing as he is known for favoring gryffindors our presence is required."

Susan was the next to speak "not only that we all were present during the incident on the train! Meaning we want to get the meeting done fast rather than be called individually."

McGonagall looked at her "miss Bones that is unnecessary."

Daphne came in "that maybe your opinion professor, but we think differently" she gestured to her friends. "And we don't trust you or the headmaster to be unbiased!"

"Miss Greengrass that was disrespectful, ten points from slytherin" Minerva said with a stern visage.

"Whatever! Bottomline we're going to get our say and you are going to live with it." Harry had to admit he liked the way she was talking to her. "If you have a problem with that, then discuss it with them" she pointed to Professors Snape and Sprout who were approaching them.

Minerva turned around and saw her fellow professors were coming "Severus! Pomona what are you two doing?"

Pomona responded, "Me and Professor Snape received some letters about an incident that occurred on the train concerning members of our and your house."

"This is completely unnecessary. I am more then capable in dealing with this situation" Minerva said.

Severus sneered at her. "If you were capable then we would not be having this discussion Minerva. Evidently, you forgot but you have three members of my house, who have sent me some concerning letters. Seeing as how Granger and Weasley complained to you about them my presence is required."

Minerva flared her nostrils and tried to speak but Pomona beat her to it "Minerva this is in the schools charter or have you forgotten!"

"The longer you wait. The longer you keep us from eating. So are you done grandstanding or are we going to get this over with" Severus followed up with an annoyed expression on his face.

Minerva massaged her temples and led everyone to the entrance of the headmaster's office. "Chocolate frogs" giving the password the revolving staircase appeared. All of them went up the stairs until the reached the door and opened it.

"Ah thank you Minerva I…" Albus didn't even finish when he saw that Severus and Pomona came in along with members of their houses. "Severus, Pomona shouldn't you two be down with the others?"

"We would have been elsewhere, but we received some shocking news from our students" an irritated Severus said.

"I'm pretty sure that it can be dealt with later" Dumbledore said in his grandfatherly voice.

"Actually headmaster" Pomona piped up "the both of us would like to get this mess over and done with. Seeing as how this involves an incident on the train it concerns the both of us."

"My dear Pomona I am sure that this is merely a miss understanding" he tried.

The professor just scowled at him "if this was a misunderstanding then why would I receive a couple of letters about Mr. Weasley vulgar talk!"

The headmaster was about to speak but Minerva intervened "Albus just get on with it we are missing the feast and I'm sure the children are hungry."

Albus gave a grandfather sigh "very well! I suggest we get on to the main topic in regard to the incident on the train" he then looked at Harry and his friends. "Would you six please explain why you sought the need to act the way you did."

Hannah was the one to speak up "are you trying to imply we're the ones at faults here?" she asked in a low voice.

"Miss Abbott, I did not mean to imply anything" he began "but seeing as miss Granger and Mr. Weasley were the ones who felt offended, then…"

So, you decided to be bias" Hadrian interrupted "and not here the whole story brilliant work headmaster" he mockingly clapped his hands.

That brought everyone's attention to him "Mr. Potter I am only doing my doing what I think is best."

Harry just rolled his eyes "yeah I heard that before. Now can we get on with this, instead of already doing what you 'think is best' how about you hear both sides of the argument."

"It's a good idea, Albus" Pomona replied.

"Whatever it takes to get this meeting over with. Just get on with it!" Severus said not looking happy at being delayed.

Albus massaged his temples "how about you two start" he said looking at Weasley and Granger.

"Professor on the train ride home we were looking for harry to tell him off for speaking to Professor McGonagall the way he did. When we got to his compartment it was locked and that is against the rules. I also saw him reading a book I didn't recognize, he claimed that it was his family grimoire whatever that is." She took a breath then continued "then Potter and Greengrass put us on silencing charms and banished us out of the room."

The professor were looked surprised, but Severus curled his lips into a small smile. "is any of this true" he asked.

Daphne answered "yes professor" which shocked the two gryffindors and the teachers "but Granger forgot some details" she pointed out.

"What kind of details" he asked in a silk voice.

She continued "we were all minding our business enjoying the ride back, while it's true that harry put a locking charm on the door. It was because he wanted us to enjoy the ride in silence. When Granger and Weasley came into our compartment she started berating him for the way he spoke to Professor McGonagall. I pointed out that the headmaster had no rights in keeping him here as that decision resided with the students guardians."

"Granger even demanded that he hand over his family grimoire. She can't do that as grimoires are family personal properties and no had a right to confiscate it. Then Weasley called me a filthy cunt and told me not to talk to her that way."

Susan picked up where she left off "Weasley also said that since I was a member of the light faction that I shouldn't be whoring around with members of the dark faction and called me a slut."

"That's a lie" Weasley who was red in the face said.

"Which part" Severus let out a low growl that froze him. It didn't help that the female teachers were sending glares that could freeze hell his way. "Typical Weasley always causing problems. No better than your blasted brothers alw-"

"Thank you, Severus," Albus said in a warning tone. The sour professor grumbled underneath his breath and remained quiet.

Albus resumed "seeing as we have heard arguments from both parties. I am in a bind, as we don't have any proof as to what occurred. I have to say that" he was cut off by Blaise.

"Actually headmaster" he said it with sarcasm. "We have a recording of the whole ordeal."

Blaise took out a crystal and handed it to Snape. The professor took his wand out and levitated it to the other crystals in the office. "We will see who is telling the truth" he activated it and the other crystals formed a viewing screen.

Everyone watched as the crystal played through what happened. The female teachers glared at the two gryffindors with a menacing look that made them shrink away. Weasley got the worst of it as the other students were also glaring at him.

Harry flicked his wand into his hand "I Hadrian James Potter swear in my magic that what the crystal showed was the truth and is not faked. So mote be it." A white light engulfed him signifying the oath took place. Harry then casted a lighting charm and the end of his wand glowed.

Dumbledore cleared his throat. "After viewing the recording, I believe that we all know who is at fault. Miss. Greengrass that will be 15 points from slytherin house for banishing the students out of the room." He then turned to Harry and the gryffindors "Mr. Potter, Mr. Weasley, miss. Granger for your conducts on the train you will be deducted 45 points from your house."

"What" Harry exclaimed.

McGonagall tried to speak "Mr. Potter the matter" she didn't get to finish as the young man turned to her. "This matter is not closed."

"Granger not only tried to get me to hand over my grimoire. Weasley called Daphne a filthy cunt and called Tracey and Blaise dark wizards. Not only that he had the nerve to dictate how Susan should act just because she's a member of the light faction."

"Mr. Potter I understand your anger. However, I'm sure that neither Mr. Weasley nor Miss. Granger meant any harm."

He didn't get to finish as the boy slammed a fist on the desk and yelled "Bullshit old man."

"Language" Hermione said.

Harry turned to her with a cold look on his face that made her freeze "Granger how about you shut your goddam mouth for once as that is how you ended up in that incident with the troll."

That shocked everyone as they did not expect that from him. No one could be more shocked then Albus. Harry turned back to him "now you listen to me old man you either give Weasley and Granger a suitable punishment or we take the matter to the Board of Governors and the Wizengamot."

"Harry I hardly think" he was cut of when Harry talked over him "it's Mr. Potter to you headmaster."

"Mr. Potter, I mean" he amended "please reconsider. I hardly think that we need to involve the board or the Wizengamot."

Harry just narrowed his eyes at him making sure that his mental shields were in full force. "You either deal with them" he gestured to the two other gryffindors "or we let the board and Wizengamot decide. It's your choice!"

"I will be having words with them. I assure you."

"Then you have made your decision" he spun on his heels and proceeded to leave the room with his classmates.

"Mr. Potter."

"Mr. Potter."

Both him and Minerva called out, but he didn't turn around. Dumbledore eventually got to his feet "alright Mr. Potter I will give them a different punishment. Just stay a while longer please."

The students stopped and after silently talking amongst themselves went back to where the others were.

"Get on with it!" Hadrian said in disgust.

Dumbledore was in a real bind. He didn't want to punish Weasley or Granger, but he couldn't risk anymore trouble, especially with the board or the wizengamot. "Mr. Weasley! Miss. Granger for woefully going after other students you two will serve two weeks of detention with Mr. Filch and have lost gryffindor 50 points" he said in a stern voice.

Hopefully, that will be enough to placate the other. The students seemed satisfied with this as they made no move to say anything. Both gryffindors wanted to protest but said nothing as not even Professor McGonagall would speak up for them.

"You all may leave" he dismissed them. "Except for you Mr. Potter we still need to discuss what you said on the grounds. Minerva, Pomona, Severus will you lead the students to the great hall."

"I am not going to be left in the same room as you" Harry defiantly stated.

"Mr. Potter I will not harm you." The boy was a real piece of work as he refused to listen to him. He was eerily reminded of Tom when he was in school, never listening to him or heeding his wisdom.

Harry was not having it "you dropped me at the doorstep with those filthy muggles, where I was neglected and abused. Do you really think I'm going to stay in the same room as you!"

"Mr. Potter I am truly sorry for what you had to go through under their care. But I was rushed at the time. The ministry would have placed you with people who wanted to harm you."

The temperature in the room suddenly got colder and the students had to back away from Harry as he was radiating some magic that destroyed one of the bottles in the room. Severus was channeling some mental energy to try and calm him down. Harry calmed down somewhat but grabbed the old man's beard and pulled him closer.

The fury in his eyes was full of rage "listen to me you goat fucking bastard because I'm am only going to say this once. How, I choose to spend my holidays is up to me and my family! You do not have a say in the matter as you are no relations to me. I may have been hard with McGonagall, but I stand by what I said. If you have a problem with that then take it up with someone who wants to hear your bullshit."

He then pushed him back in his chair and left the room. Leaving the other occupants shocked at his actions. That was until they heard clapping and a booming laugh.

They looked up to see one of the old professor laughing his ass off. "Oh, I really like him. That boy has a pair of balls! He really is a member of the House of Black and the House of Potter. I love it, if I had it my way, I make him the heir!"

"Headmaster Nigellus, please their children present" Minerva said being the first to recover. She was absolutely shocked at what that boy just said. While she didn't like the way, he spoke she understood that he had a grudge against Albus after what he did to him.

Albus was the next to recover and he looked at the professors "will you three take the students to the great hall" he said dismissively.

The professor lead the students out of the office. When they were out Albus pulled out a glass and a bottle of Firewhiskey. He downed the contents immediately and poured another glass, thinking about what just happened.

The Potter boy was livid which was an understatement as he saw the fire in that boys eyes. Those eyes didn't hold any warmth, they held anger, rage, and pain. He began to wonder if the Blacks, taught him to well as the fury in his eyes sent a shiver down his spine. Then he remembered one of the few people he would never challenge Charlus Potter.

He had only had a few altercations with Lord Potter but even then, he did not want to get on the wrong side of him. That man was not only powerful and talented but also very dangerous. He had dueled Gellert to a draw, the man even laid waste to all his enemies and wasted no words when killing them. That was something that concerned him greatly as he didn't want Harry to turn out like him.

He was lucky that his son James was one of the tamer ones as the Potters were known to have warriors in their families and not ones to cross lightly. It was most fortuitous that James was easier to manipulate as it suited his plans, yes, he set him and his wife to die but it was necessary. The prophecy said that only one could live while the other dies. Yes, he orchestrated some events that it to go this far but it was for the greater good. If only Tom never descended to the dark, he would have been his successor of the light.

Taking a gulp of his drink he had a feeling that things were only going to get worse as he needed the boy under his control. This was going to be a long process and a large headache for him.

Professor McGonagall was a woman who valued her students well-beings. She was a cynical and strict professor who did not tolerate any slack in her classes as such she would not cut corners with them. That said she like to think she was fair with the students. While it was true that she had made mistakes some severe ones she usually tried to make up for it. However, she was not blind to other people's faults either.

Albus was a prime example of that as she had known that he had made mistakes. One of the more noticeable one was when he placed James and Lily son with the Dursley's. She may have voiced her objections then, but that it didn't have any affect as the boy was just left on a doorstep with only a letter. The Dursley's in her opinion were beyond the worst sort of muggles as she was aware that Lily never got along with Petunia. While she could admit that she should have done more to protect the boy she was heartbroken when she heard of their demise.

A couple of years went by and she found out that the boy had left. When she heard that she was very angry as she had an idea that they were the reason why he left in the first place. She made sure that Dumbledore knew she was angry with him and berated him for hours almost deafening him. That day when she heard the boy was attending school in Japan, she was torn between being happy that he was safe and sad that he would not be attending Hogwarts. When she finally met him face to face it was not as what she expected as he had no interest in coming to Hogwarts.

According to him, he wanted to stay in Japan to continue his education, a small part of her had a feeling he wanted to be away from her, Hagrid, Albus. After the ruling of the ICW she felt a soft glimmer of hope but knew that he would not be overly fond here. When he was sorted into her house, she thought that maybe he would give this place a chance, but that was not likely to happen as he preferred to be with members outside of his house. From what she observed he didn't have an outgoing boisterous attitude like his father, he was more of a reserved person who kept only a few people around.

During her classes with him he saw that he was a gifted individual who possessed the magical prowess of his parents. She was aware he didn't like her or Albus after what happened that night. In a way she couldn't blame him for his ire as she would have been mad as well. What she saw at the Wizengamot during Sirius trial made her heart sink as she bore witness to what the boy had to go through at the hands of those muggles. The pain he endured was indescribable as she would never had believed that anyone could treat an innocent child that way. She thought that Vernon and Petunia got what they deserved for what they did to him, she also started screaming her head off at Albus as that it was a mistake to leave him there and that he did nothing to alleviate the pain.

Getting up from her seat, she slowly made her way to where the boy was sitting at the end of the table. She knew that she would have to be careful with her words as she was sure that he was still livid after what happened in the office.

"Mr. Potter" she addressed him and watched him turn around "please come with me for a few minutes I would like to talk to you."

Harry narrowed his eyes at her "what do you want this time? You going to send me to another set of filthy muggles the headmaster wants."

That shocked the occupants around him as they were idly wondering about his interpretation on muggles and muggleborns.

Minerva held her tongue "Mr. Potter I promise you I will not harm you in any way I just wish to have a discussion with you."

Harry just gave a sneer. "Fine let's get it over with. The less time I spend with you the better." He got up from his seat and went outside of the hall.

Minerva followed behind albeit heartbroken at what he said to her. It was clear that he really did hate her as he didn't want to spend anymore time with her than necessary.

The two did not utter a word as they went to her office, upon arrival she opened the door to allow them in.

She took a seat behind her desk and took a breath to gather her thoughts and compose herself. Looking up at him she saw that his eyes were laced with disdain and they were on her.

"Mr. Potter I understand that you do not like me or the headmaster, but I want to assure you that I never supported his decision in leaving you with those muggles" she started. "I am beyond sorry for what you had to go through; it was not right!"

Harry clicked his tongue "to little to late for that! You think you could just utter an apology and things would be okay between us. My mother and father might have been more lenient with you but I'm not them."

Minerva allowed his words to sink in as it was true, he may ok like his parents in some respects, but he wasn't them. "Your anger at me is understandable and I do not hold that against you. However, your behavior on the ground before the train ride needs to be discussed!"

"If you're looking for an apology, then go look somewhere else. You'll get nothing from me no one dictates my life but me. Now how about you just give me the detentions you want so I may leave."

That shocked the woman as the cold in his voice made her a bit afraid. "Mr. Potter your hostility at me is unjustified" she was about to say more but the look on his face turned to one of intense anger.

"Unjustified" he said loudly that made her think that she used the wrong words in front of him "five years you and the headmaster stole from me. Five years" he shouted the last bit. "Let me tell you what's unjustified putting me with those filthy muggles and signing me into a marriage contract with the Weasley family." That shocked Minerva as she didn't know anything about the marriage contract.

She was pulled out of her thoughts as he was not done with her "I don't give a bleeding fuck what the headmaster thinks of them. He should not have stuck his nose in places where it didn't belong. Now instead of making excuses how about you just give me my detentions so I can be on my way."

Minerva shed some tears, clearing her eyes she looked at him "you have two weeks detention with Professor Snape."

No other words were said as he marched out of her office. Leaving a weeping Minerva alone this was not how she pictured the meeting with the boy would go. She got a brief glimpse at what he felt, and his rage was like a boiling volcano.

The next moment Filius and Pomona walked in to find her sobbing. Pomona put an arm around her attempting to comfort her friend. Minerva what happened? We just saw Mr. Potter with looking ready to tear anyone apart."

"I just had a meeting with him, and it did not go as intended. That boy is so mad at me that it paled in comparison to the angry looks I would get from other students."

Pomona and Filius looked at each other for a moment.

"Why don't you start at the beginning Minerva!" Filius suggested.

Minerva dried her tears and started talking "after the feast I asked if he could follow me to my office. He asked if I were going to send him to another set of filthy muggles; I tried to assure him that I would do no such thing. He agreed only that he wished he didn't want to be in y presence any longer than he had to be."

Her fellow professor looked shocked at what she said. Minerva went on to continue "I tried to explain that I never supported Albus decision to leave him with those muggles, but it only served to anger him more. I tried to say that the threat he used against me was uncalled for but he waved it off saying that he would not apologize and told me to just give him the detentions so he could leave. After that I carelessly said that his hostility toward me was unjustified."

Filius was shocked "Minerva you didn't."

She looked down in shame "then he shouted and blamed me and Albus for stealing five years of his life. Even snapped about those horrid muggles and something about a marriage contract between him and Arthur Weasley daughter."

"You tried to put that boy in a marriage contract?" Pomona exclaimed.

Minerva shook her head violently "I swear on my life and magic that I had no idea that he was being forced into a contract."

"Albus must have had something to do with that" Filius replied. "I remember James telling me that only Charlus had the authority to sign any kind of contract. What happened next."

She explained the last bit and told him that he had two weeks detention with Severus. Then he stormed out of the room.

"Minerva what would possess you to go this far? You remember full well what Lily was like when she lost her temper. Why did you not fight harder for him?"

"I was heartbroken and sad when I heard about James and lily death."

"Did you really think you were the only one grieving over them" Filius cut in. "I saw the bodies as they were being buried and I distinctly remember you being there at the service. As for Albus, he had no rights when placing the boy with Petunia and her husband."

Having said what, he needed to say he left the room and headed back to ravenclaw common room. Leaving Pomona with Minerva as he was not in a forgiving mood.

In the room of requirement harry was locked in a vicious battle with four dueling dummies that resemble the headmaster their levels were set to four. He was not only pissed at Dumbledore but his own head of house. That bitch had a lot of nerve when calling his hostility toward her and Dumbledore unjustified, they stole years from him. To cool off he headed to his special room and decided to go blow off some steam.

The room seemed to sense his anger and gave him a way to vent. He had been experimenting with some of the spells in both the Potter and Black libraries and destroyed eight dummies. Byakko was standing by trying to help him alleviate some of his anger. He didn't he register as to who walked in as he could sense the familiar presence of his dad. Deciding to face the music sooner or later he a medium sized ball of green lightning at two of the headmaster like dummies destroying them. Finally, he decided to try a new spell that he had been working on for some time.

Conjuring a wave of red and blue darts he fired them at the dummies that landed next to them. The two dummies looked at one another but at that moment purple gas erupted from the darts. Harry rotated his wand in a circular motion a few times forming a bubble around the dummies allowing the smoke to consume them. Were he to use this against alive opponents then they would just be knocked out for a few minutes.

"I take it that you worked out the anger in your system" his father said.

"Mostly, but some remains" Harry replied as he turned around.

Severus gave his son a critical look "care to explain about your little snit with the headmaster earlier!"

It wasn't a question, taking a breath Harry spoke "you really expected me to let him dictate the argument. Like I said before no one dictates my life!"

"Be that as it may Hadrian" Hadrian stepped forward to look down at him "the way you handled him was not appropriate. No matter how much he may have deserved it, you were going to far." The tone that he was using indicated that he was not happy.

Harry wanted to retort but he saw that his dad was in father mode rather than professor. "Understood, sir" he gritted out.

Severus seemed to be judging him for the moment "we will see. For your punishment you will be having detention with me for a week."

"Professor McGonagall already assigned me two weeks detention with you" he drawled.

Severus raised a single eyebrow "did she now! Well, you can serve mine after your done with her."

"Yes, father" he lowered his head to look at the floor. Severus put a hand on his shoulder. "Hadrian look at me" Severus said.

He did as he was told and raised his head. "I know you don't like Dumbledore or Minerva. Merlin knows that I am not fond of them either, but you're going to need to exercise better control over your emotions. Although, it was warranted in this case, I don't have to remind you that he is a supreme legilimens. You know what that means!"

"That I need to keep my mind and emotions under control" he responded.

Severus removed his hand and gave a nod. "the staff at Mahoutokoro has sent the next year syllabus for you. Are you prepared?"

That brightened him up "I am" he said with determination in his eyes.

Severus dismissed him "get some sleep for the night. Classes start tomorrow!"

"Night dad" was all he said as he went up the stairs to his bedroom with Byakko in tow. Severus used the floo to head back to his office. Emerging in the office he made his way to his quarters.

Taking his wand out he checked to make sure that there were no listening devices. After scanning the room, he came up with nothing, looking above the mantle of his fireplace he activated the crystals and said, "Black's castle."

Having to wait for a few minutes he saw that Cassiopeia was the one to respond. "What is the problem, Severus" she asked in a tired voice.

"An altercation occurred in Hadrian and co meeting with Dumbledore" he replied.

That got her attention "what happened" she asked now appearing wide awake. Part off her wanted to know about the meeting as Severus was not one to ass on information such as this without good news.

"It would be better if I show you."

Cassie thought for a minute "I'm sending Darwin. You should know that Arcturus and Sirius are still awake."

Severus cursed under his breath, while he still had problems with the mutt. He was willing to find some common ground with him, for Hadrian sake. The next moment a 'pop' was heard, and the elf appeared in front of him.

"Is Mr. Snape ready" the well-dressed elf asked. Severus gave a curt nod and extended his hand. The elf took it and apparated out of the castle.

The next moment they were standing in the middle of the main living room. Severus saw that the three Black's were present. One in particular he wasn't happy to see, Sirius. The two glared at each other for what seemed like hours but gave in when they heard someone clear their throat.

Arcturus looked between them before setting his glare on Severus "what is it that you wanted to show us that couldn't wait until the morning?"

"Where's your pensieve at?" Severus ignored the question and asked his own.

Arcturus sent the elf to go retrieve the device from the study. The next moment the elf returned and placed it in front of everyone. Severus drew his wand and extracted the memory of the meeting to put in so they could view it.

The three of them entered the pensieve and bore witness to the meeting. After 30 minutes they emerged looking between pride, shock and amused.

"That was illuminating" Cassiopeia said.

"Illuminating nothing" Arcturus said "that boy really is a member of this house. I only wish I were there in person, though I do not like the way he spoke. I can not deny that he did well, when putting Albus in his place."

Next came Sirius "that was something that not even me nor James would ever do. He takes more after his grandfather than anything" he commented.

The older male black could only nod in agreement. That is exactly what he or Charlus would have done were they in the boy shoes.

"There's more" Severus said.

Everyone looked at him as he retrieved the memory. "Hadrian had a meeting with Minerva after the feast and" Severus explained what happened at the meeting where Minerva tried to talk to him and how Harry called her out for stealing years of his life away. And pointed out about trying to force him into a marriage contract between him and Arthur and Molly daughter.

Everyone was shocked, except for Sirius who was pissed. Dumbledore had tried to commit line theft by trying to force Hadrian into a marriage contract. At the moment he wanted nothing more but to strangle the old man and then drown him in the Black Lake.

"I'm going to need a Firewhiskey" Sirius said and with that he was out of the room.

"Now that is how you talk to people" Arcturus triumphally said with pride evident in his voice.

"That boy" Cassie said while shaking her head but the grin on her face indicated that she was not angry.

The three talked for a while longer than Severus departed with Darwin who took him back to Hogwarts.

A/N: I wanted to get this chapter done before school started and I be up to my neck in paperwork. Weasley and Granger tried to get harry and the others in trouble but failed. They gave Dumbledore a warning either he give them a suitable punishment, or they alert the board and the Wizengamot. At the moment Dumbledore couldn't risk anymore problems, but little does he know the worse is yet to come.

Do you all think I went a little to far when I had Harry lash out against both Minerva and Dumbledore? Let me be clear here I liked Minerva more than Dumbledore and intend on making her an ally in the future but only after she had earned it.

Also, I like to read everyone review about the darts I employed, because I am going to be adding them more in the story!

As for Severus don't bite my head off here. The man maybe a professor but he is still Harry's father. Some of you may think I am wrong for having Severus punish Hadrian but let me say that it is necessary as he is only looking after him.

Next Chapter: Hadrian will be back in Mahoutokoro to compete in the placement exams.
