Devon was in the arcade, getting in some serious training for his upcoming tournament. He let out a whoop of delight as he finished off his latest opponent, before turning to face him. He shook his hand warmly.

"Dude, that was a good match, I thought you had me a couple of times." Devon said as he patted him on the shoulder. "That new combo you figured out was pretty sick."

"What can I say? You're not the only one that's been putting the time in Devon." He chuckled. "See you this weekend?"

"You know it!" Devon replied. "May the best man win!"

He turned back towards the machine, only to see Steel standing there. He just rolled his eyes.

"Seriously, you again?" Devon asked him.

"Devon, please listen to me." He pleaded with him as he followed him.

"Look, you're weird. I get that. But I have things to do. I need to get some more change and maybe a smoothie, so…"

"Banana strawberry blitz?" Steel asked. Devon just looked to him. "It's your favourite, you always have it when you're on a major gaming binge."

"So, you're a fan. Good for you, I've got quite a few." Devon answered. "Now seriously, you're kind of crowding me, so if you don't mind…"

"But you've got to help me! We need to do something or Evox is going to…"

"Wait, who the Hell is Evox?" Devon asked him.

"Evox is an evil computer virus that is trying to take over the Morphing Grid." Steel told him. Devon just stared at him.

"The Morphing Grid?" He asked. "OK, and that's my problem because…?"

"Because we're Power Rangers." Steel whispered, pulling in closer to Devon so he wouldn't be heard. Devon just burst out laughing.

"Power Rangers?" He asked him incredulously. "Dude, there hasn't been Power Rangers in about twenty years."

"Devon, you've got to believe me…"

"No, the only thing I have to do is get away from you." Devon stated flatly. "This was kind of funny to begin with, but now you're just annoying me. So, go see your therapist or whoever it is you normally talk to about the big bad computer virus and leave me alone."

As Devon left, Steel just shook his head. He turned around as someone tapped him on the shoulder.

"Can I help you?" He asked as he saw a security guard standing behind him.

"We've had complaints of you harassing some of our customers." He told him. "I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to leave."

Steel just looked over to where Devon was getting his change before reluctantly leaving the premises. He had hoped he could convince Devon to go with him, but it looked like whatever Evox had done had completely altered everyone's perception of reality. Everyone honestly believed that there had been no Evox, no Power Rangers…the only thing he couldn't figure out is how he had pulled it off.

"If I'm going to get my friends back, I need to figure out how Evox did this." Steel mused aloud as he paced in the street. "But how could he hypnotise so many people at once?"

He then caught sight of something in the distance. It was a tall, metal spire, the antenna of the TV studio.

"Wait, this all started after Vargoyle attacked the TV studio." Steel thought out loud. "He didn't take anything from the studio…what if he never intended to take something from the studio? What if the studio itself was the target?"

He sat down, tapping the side of his head.

"Why didn't I listen to my brother more? What was that thing he was talking about? Think, Steel, think!" He remembered Nate telling him something about advertising once, a particular way that they could not only try to convince people that they needed a product, but actually trick their brain into believing it. "Sub…Sublime messaging? Something like that?"

He remembered Nate showing him a video with a message imbedded in it.

"If they sent out some kind of signal that made everyone believe that things were different, maybe they're sending it from the studio. Maybe that's why they attacked it in the first place." He thought out loud. "Steel, you are a genius!"

He got up and started to make his way towards the studio.

"Now I just need to figure out how to get in there." He mused.

Back at Grid Battleforce Headquarters, Roxy was in the changing room, finishing getting dressed in her uniform, when Ravi came to her. She just smiled as she saw him.

"That uniform looks really good on you." He told her.

"I was going to say the same thing." Roxy told him, coming and wrapping her arms around his neck. "So, are you nervous?"

"Pretty soon, the Neural Aligner is going to split apart my DNA and combine it with that of a gorilla, oh, and also make me a super hero." Ravi replied. "And I have the most gorgeous, wonderful woman in the world to share it all with. Right now, I'm feeling pretty good."

Roxy held him closely. This was everything she wanted. When she heard of the plan, when she heard that they were going to rewrite everyone's memories, she'd taken the opportunity to make a few changes to suit herself. It wasn't like the others hadn't either. Blaze had made other people like him and forget what an insufferable jerk he'd been. Meghan had all but written a masterpiece in spite, doing everything she could think of to make Zoey's life miserable. For her, all she cared about was all she had ever cared about, and that was Ravi.

In this reality, he'd spoken to his mother about his relationship with Roxy. He'd convinced her that they could serve on a team together, and Commander Shaw had revoked rule 34 C. The only thing standing in their way had been stripped away.

As they parted, she looked to him. He was everything to him, everything she wanted. Now that he trusted her once more, now he didn't suspect her of anything, she was close to getting everything she ever dreamed of. He'd never suspect a thing when she took him to a real Neural Aligner to turn him.

For now, she had to keep up with the pretence. She couldn't turn him into an avatar now, she'd have to wait until they'd gotten what they wanted. Once Evox's plan had come to fruition, no one would care what she did with the Blue Ranger. They'd finally be able to be together forever.

"Yo, guys!" Blaze called to them. "It's go time!"

"Shouldn't that be, 'It's Morphin' time'?" Ravi joked. They all chuckled as they headed out into the Power Chamber. There, Nate, Meghan and Commander Shaw were waiting. Nate was about to check over the last few details when Meghan stopped him.

"Why don't you let me do that?" She asked him.

"I just want to check…"

"Come on, Nate. This is your moment. Do you really want to see it through a screen?" She asked him, wrapping her arms around his neck. She gave him a little pout. "Don't you trust me to do it?"

Nate just smiled and kissed her softly.

"You're amazing." He stated, before heading to Commander Shaw's side. Meghan just smirked. She couldn't risk Nate looking at what she was doing. Even with his memories altered, he'd probably notice that she had adjusted the settings. Blaze and Roxy already had the powers Evox had given them, and Ravi already had his Ranger powers. Blasting them all again would be incredibly dangerous. Instead, all she wanted to do was create enough of a light show to look good, while not really changing anything about them.

"Beginning the Morphing Sequence…now!" Meghan said as she threw the switch. Commander Shaw and Nate both stood, staring as the sequence began. There was a glowing green light, and all three of the subjects were completely enveloped with a bright green smoke that swirled around them. Eventually, the smoke dissipated, the light faded, and in the pods were standing three brand new Rangers.

The process had altered the appearance of Blaze and Roxy's outfits temporarily, making them appear as the designs that Nate had envisioned. Nate let out a yell of excitement, seeing his creation finally brought to life. They all removed their helmets, standing before them.

"We, are the Power Rangers!" Roxy declared.

"The team that you can trust!" Blaze added, at which Commander Shaw came across, inspecting the team thoughtfully.

"How are things?" She asked.

"Vitals are all reading normal." Meghan assured her. "Everything went without a hitch."

"And how are you feeling?" She asked. Ravi just furrowed his brows.

"Weirdly, just the same." Ravi told her. "Are you sure nothing's changed? I'd have thought…"

"It might take a little while for side-effects to show up." Meghan interrupted him.

"Yeah, but I'd have thought I'd feel something." Ravi said, sounding almost disappointed. Roxy went up behind him, grabbing one of his cheeks, causing him to flinch with a start.

"Oh, you'll be feeling plenty later." She assured him. He just gulped, following which Commander Shaw just cleared her throat.

"Yes, well…what you do on your time is probably best not discussed in front of officers, Yellow Ranger." She reminded her.

"Sorry, Commander." Roxy giggled a little.

"Alright, I want all of you to take the rest of the day off. Absolutely no strenuous activity of any kind." Commander Shaw instructed them. "If you feel anything out of the ordinary, report to medical immediately. I don't want any surprises."

"Don't worry Commander." Blaze told her. "They'll behave. I'll make sure of it."

Commander Shaw walked up to him and put a hand on his shoulder.

"I'm sure you will." She answered. "Your father would have been very proud to see the man you've become."

Blaze just smiled, before turning to his team.

"Alright, you heard the Commander, we've got to relax, so we're all assembling in my quarters at 10PM sharp to celebrate." Blaze told them. "And that is an order."

"Heard and understood, Sir." Ravi said as he saluted him, before turning to Roxy, putting his arm around her as they walked away. "Man, how lucky are we that we ended up with a cool leader like Blaze? I was disappointed I wasn't chosen as Red, but how can I be mad when he's the Red Ranger?"

As Blaze, Commander Shaw and Nate were about to leave, Nate noticed that Meghan was hanging back. He just gestured to her.

"Aren't you coming for debrief?" He asked her.

"I'll be along in a little moment." She said. "There's just a couple of reports I want to finalise and print. I'll be right behind you."

"Not too long though." Nate said as he left. Meghan watched them all leave, before rolling her eyes and sighing.

"Good, I thought they'd never leave." She muttered, before getting to work, changing the settings on the machines and covering her tracks, before turning to the medical lab that Blaze had sealed off. She approached it, with a little smirk on her face as she opened it. Inside were the stasis pods, holding her, Blaze and Roxy.

"Hello gorgeous." She said, running her fingers over her own pod, before looking around. "Now for our little insurance policy."

She pulled out a thumb drive, before looking to the three pods before her. She thought about it for a moment, before pointing at one of them.

"Eenie, meenie, miney, mo…"

Over at the TV studio, Steel arrived, finding a security team outside. It wasn't station security; the uniforms were Grid Battleforce.

"Great, that's all I need." He complained. "No doubt Meghan figured I'd show up here and asked a guard detail to watch the station."

He found a position nearby to get a better look at the surroundings. There were guards covering all of the entrances, scanning things going in and out of the studio, checking people's ID's and suchlike.

"This complicates things. Grid Battleforce already think I'm a bad guy." He summarised as he tried to think of ways to get in. "I need to get in there and find out what Evox did, but if I go anywhere near the building, they're going to try to stop me. I can't hurt my friends."

He looked around, seeing Ben and Betty with some of the crews coming into the building.

"Now, what is the one thing that is guaranteed to distract any guard detail?" He asked, as he touched the side of his head, activating a cellular phone link Nate had built into him. "Hello? Jungle Karma Pizza? Do you take large orders? I'm going to need about twenty pies!"

Back at Grid Battleforce Headquarters, Nate was walking past the laundry when he heard raised voices. He stopped by the door, finding Zoey standing, sobbing slightly as a sergeant was screaming in her face, waving around a pink uniform.

"I swear to God, you are either the most brainless moron I have ever met in my life, or you're actively trying to sabotage this base, which is it Reeves?" He yelled at her. "You managed to ruin at least a ton of perfectly good uniforms!"

"I don't know how it could have happened; I checked all the machines before I put the load on!" She whimpered. "There was nothing in the drums, I checked myself! I swear!"

"You think the uniforms got like THIS by themselves?" He yelled. "Do you have any idea how long it's going to take to straighten this all out? My God, Reeves, whatever Commander Shaw sees in you I have no idea, because all I see is possibly the most incompetent…"

"Hey, um…can I…?" Nate said, suddenly interjecting, finding himself feeling sorry for Zoey. She looked completely distraught. Something within him just couldn't stand and watch any longer. "We need Zoey to help with…"

"Take her! Please, dear God, take her!" The Sergeant yelled. "You're doing me a favour! You'd be doing all of us a favour if you didn't bring her back!"

"OK, thanks!" Nate said as he guided Zoey away. He got her to a seat a little way off and sat her down. She hunched over, crying into her hands. "Oh, please…please don't…"

"I don't know why these things keep happening to me!" She sobbed. "I try, I really do try but no matter how hard I try thing just keep going wrong around me."

"It's alright…"

"Sometimes I feel like someone's going out of their way to make these things happen. I swear, I checked those machines, after the last time I checked them three times there was nothing in them!" She complained. "I really need this job, if I can't do this…I don't know what I'll do."

"It's OK." Nate tried to comfort her. Zoey's screw-ups were well known all across the base. People had a long list of tales of things she'd managed to mess up causing absolute chaos.

"Please, everyone here hates me!" She sobbed. "I don't even know why Commander Shaw keeps letting me stay. It's clear she's furious any time she sees me in her office, but for some reason she just keeps letting me stay."

"Because she believes in you." Nate told her.

"God only knows why." She sniffed, wiping her nose on her sleeve. Nate reached out, taking her hand softly.

"You shouldn't be so hard on…" He suddenly paused as he touched her. Something in his mind seemed to flicker, an image of sorts, a feeling. His chest was a lot tighter; his heart raced a little faster. He felt warm and was sure he could feel himself flushing. He looked up to her, seeing Zoey staring at him. Her cheeks were flushed, and she had a look on her face that looked like she had just seen a ghost.

They suddenly pulled away from each other.

"That…that was weird." Zoey stated.

"What was weird?" Nate asked her. She just looked at him.

"I saw the look on your face, you looked like you felt it too." She said as she tried to verbalise what she had seen. As soon as she'd felt it, it was gone again. "It was like…the weirdest sense of déjà vu…like something is really wrong here."

Nate couldn't put his finger on it, and he definitely couldn't think of what to say, but he could tell that he felt the same thing she had. Just then, they were interrupted as Roxy, Blaze and Ravi came to them.

"Hey, Nate, we were waiting on you." Blaze told him.

"Oh…oh, right!" Nate said. "Zoey, can you help us with something?"

"Sure, what do you need?" She asked.

"We just need to borrow a couple of laundry carts." Roxy told her. "The Commander wants us to move some Mega Transporters."

"If there's one thing I can do, it's push a laundry cart." Zoey said as she got up. "So, where are we going?"

"The secure locker." Blaze told her. She just looked a little taken aback.

"Um…am I allowed in there?" She asked. Roxy just grabbed her.

"Come on, Roomie, you're with the Rangers, who's going to object?" She asked. "Come on!"

Back at the television studio, Ben and Betty were sitting with a whole bunch of the security detail, surrounded by boxes and boxes of pizza. They were having the time of their lives munching away on just about every variety of pizza anyone could ever dream of, washed down with an assortment of soft drinks.

"Man, this is good." Ben mumbled through a mouthful of pizza. "Who would ever have thought bananas on a pizza is so good?"

"Try some of the Soy Safari!" Betty told him. He just wrinkled his nose.

"Vegetarian pizza?" He asked.

"Ben, I once saw you eating jelly beans with mayonnaise." Betty reprimanded him. She then noticed something a little way off. "Wait, what's that? Is that…?"

She pointed, at which they all saw Steel trying to sneak in through the loading entrance.

"That's that robot from earlier!" She screamed. "Get him!"

"Uh oh!" Steel said as he forced the door and ran inside. The security team started to run after him.

"Guys, faster!" Betty yelled. "He's getting away!"

"I can't! I'm full of pizza!" Ben complained. Down the hall, Steel felt a sense of satisfaction washing over him as he looked for somewhere to hide. Sometimes, there were advantages to not eating.

Back at Grid Battleforce, Zoey, Nate, Ravi and Roxy were taking the Mega Transporters from storage, heading down the hall when they ran into Meghan coming out of the lab. Roxy looked to her.

"Where have you been?" She asked.

"Just had a little errand to run." Meghan replied. "The Mega Transporters! Great, alright, come this way!"

With that, they all followed Meghan as she took them outside. It was only as they got into the parking lot that Zoey, Nate and Ravi started to feel uneasy.

"What's going on?" Ravi asked. "Why are we in the parking lot?"

"Oh, we just need to take these off-site for a little bit." Blaze told him. "We're running some special tests at the Black Ops hangar."

"The Black Ops hangar?" Ravi asked. Roxy, Blaze and Meghan just looked to each other. "What Black Ops hangar?"

They realised a flaw in the story. Blaze had just said the first thing that popped into his head, but in the reality, they'd created for the team, none of them had been briefed on the Black Ops hangar yet. General Burke only gave them use of it after they captured the Slicertron.

"Uh…yeah, General Burke is letting us use a special site for it." Roxy rushed out. "It's a short drive, come on, help us load these up."

"Maybe we should check with mom." Ravi suggested. "I mean, taking this tech off base sounds like something we should have a proper security detail for."

"Ravi, you worry too much!" Blaze assured him. "We have three Rangers, what's more secure than that?"

"Not to mention if we have a full-on convoy it'll just attract attention to the fact, we're carrying something worth taking, right?" Roxy said, stroking his arm gently. Ravi didn't exactly feel right about this break in protocol, but if it was alright with Blaze, who was his superior officer, who was he to argue?

"Alright." Ravi sighed. "Come on guys, let's get these loaded up."
