Later, at the Takamoto Bowl, Scooby and Shaggy were bowling just as Sonic arrived, not yet noticing the two.
"Can you believe the sheer nerve of that dude?" Shaggy asked his canine companion who was bowling currently. "Simon Cowell thinks friendship can't always save the day."
"Reah, what does he know?" Scooby asked, rolling his bowling ball down the lane and getting all but one pin.
"Yeah, he's not that smart. just sounds like it cause he's brittish." Shaggy adds. "As long as we have each other, we'll be just fine on our own."
"RGood point, Raggy." Scooby responds, grabbing his bowling ball after it came out of the ball return
Sonic got confused and when he asked Shaggy about the whole thing, Shaggy began explaining the situation. While Shaggy was explaining the whole situation, Scooby grabbed another bowling ball, spun his leg around, and rolled the ball down the lane getting it to knock down the last pin.
"RYes!" Scooby says triumphantly
Just then, the bowling pin hops back up and opens up a pair of eyes.
"REyes?" Scooby said, confused
Just then, the bowling pin went back to normal, making Scooby jump a bit.
"Raggy, the pin, it has eyes." Scooby says, leaning back a little
Shaggy looked at Scooby and the pin after taking a bite out of a french fry. He put a hand on Scooby's back and he jumped a bit, screaming.
"Oh, Scoob, I know it feels like everyone's judging us today. Even the bowling pins." Shaggy says as the two walk to the ball return. "But don't freak out on me, bud."
Shaggy then started pressing the button on the ball return several times.
"What's the hold-up, Sandwich Lords?" Sonic asked
"The ball return won't return our ball." Shaggy answers
Just then, every other ball return shoots out a bowling ball, making them all shrug. So, Sonic shocks the ball return for the lane Shaggy and Scooby were using and wouldn't ya know it? It shot out the bowling ball.
"RAh, there it is." Scooby comments
"Thanks, Sonic" Shaggy thanked before reaching for the bowling ball
"No problem." Sonic replied
Just then, the bowling ball jumps forward and tries to bite Shaggy's hand making him jump back and yell, "Zoinks!"
They then heard mechanical shifting from one of the lanes and see that a pin had turned into some strange red and white scorpion robot!
"Like, what is going on?" Shaggy called out as the bowling balls al start changing into scorpion-like robots
Just then, the scorpion-like robot that was disguised as a bowling pin a few seconds ago hissed and seemed to laugh
"RWhat are those things?!" Scooby asked
"I don't know, but they don't look friendly!" Shaggy replied
Just then, but un noticed to Sonic, one of Robotnik's egg drone showed up and aimed at Shaggy and Scooby while they were looking at one of the many scorpion robots that had once been a bowling ball.
"No offense, but I think I liked you better as a bowling ball!" Shaggy exclaims
"RMe too!" Scooby adds
The egg drone then shot a laser at the two cowardly detectives.
"Zoinks!" Shaggy yelped as he and Scooby ducked, making the laser hit a screen
Then, the three took off running after Sonic quickly destroyed the egg drone, the scorpion robots chasing after them as they ran past the counter where Judy Takamoto, the attendant at the bowling alley, was just browsing her own phone.
"No running." Judy Takamoto, the bowling alley's cashier said, not even looking up from her phone to see why the four were running
"RThey're coming!" Scooby yelps as they ran through an area full of tables
The three then jumped behind the snack bar.
"RWhat now?" Scooby asked
"Follow my lead." Shaggy answers in a whisper as Sonic went into the kitchen
Scooby and Shaggy then popped up in a couple of disguises as Shaggy said, "Who's hungry?"
"RCheck out the specials." Scooby adds as he hands the three menus he grabbed to the three robots that arrived at the counter
The robots then grab the menus with their robotic pincers and looked at them
"So, like, what are you guys in the mood to eat?" Shaggy asked. "And please don't say human!"
"ROr dog!" Scooby added
The robots then all change into a baby shaped form and the two grey and white ones at the counter are the first to order their food, Shaggy somehow understanding the beeps they made.
"Okay, Bowling Alley Yakatori and a slice of pizza with every pizza topping we have put on it." Shaggy said, writing down the order
"And how about you guys? Hot wings to share?" Shaggy called out to the robots that were sitting at the tables
"Uh-huh." The robots all respond
"Got it." Shaggy said, writing down the order before looking at the red and white robot. "And for you?"
The robot beeped a few times and pointed at the menu, and what the robot ordered seemed to make Shaggy go wide eyed.
"Oh, no. we're out of calamari!" Shaggy called out
The robots then hissed, changing back into their scorpion shapes and aiming lasers at Shaggy ad Scooby which made them yelp in fear as the three took off, leaving behind their disguises.
"This way, you two!" Shaggy called out before they started sliding along the bowling lane
Once they went all the way down the lane, the three found themselves in the area behind the lanes, Scooby having a box on his head and Sonic curled up into a ball.
"Huh. Always wondered what was back here." Shaggy said as he took the box off of Scooby, who had a pin in his mouth
Scooby spat out the pin as Sonic uncurled and said, "RUnderwhelming."
The three got up and took off running again.
Meanwhile. in The Mystery Machine which was elsewhere, sat Fred, Velma, Daphne, Tails, and Tom. When The Mystery Machine got to a traffic light, the police dispatch radio went off.
"All units, attention all units. We've got a 415 in progress at the Takamoto Bowl." The dispatch spoke
"What's a 415?" Tails asked
Velma pulled out a small code handbook and flipped through it.
"A 415 means...'Tiny, violent shapeshifting robots chasing a man and dog in a bowling alley, linen store, or car wash'." Velma read. "Wow, the police really do have a code for everything."
Daphne gasped a little with fear and realization.
"The Takamoto Bowl? That's where Scoob and Shaggy hang out!" Daphne pointed out
"That's also where I last left Sonic..." Tom added, going wide eyed
"Oh no..." Fred replies, having The Mystery Machine take a sharp U-turn and head back for Takamoto Bowl. "Let's go!"
Outside the back of the Takamoto Bowl, Shaggy, Scooby, and Sonic managed to make it out the back an slammed the door shut behind them.
"RDid we lose them?" Scooby asked
'Just then, one of the scorpion bots rammed it's head into the door, making an imprint on the door and making the three jump.
"Pretty sure we didn't!" Shaggy and Sonic both answered
More and more scorpion droids started ramming into the door, causing the three to shift, jump, and slide in every possible way. When the robots stopped, the three were in some sort of tangled position. They popped off the door and ran, only to see the two closest escape routes were both blocked.
From inside the bowling alley, the egg drone started using a laser to cut the door out of the frame. The three took the one open path but came to a stop when seeing it was a dead end.
Just then, the door was cut off and the scorpion bots jumped out into the back alley, hissing and their chainsaws revving, making Scooby and Shaggy jump and turn around.
"Yikes!" Scooby and Shaggy yelped
The robots then ran at Scooby, Shaggy, and Sonic.
"Looks like this is goodbye, you two..." Shaggy states as Scooby hopped into his arm
"RI never got a good look at Paris." Scooby stated
Just then, a bright, blue light came over the three.
"Huh?" The three questioned looking up
Then, they began getting lifted up into the air, along with some garbage cans and a dumpster, Scooby and Shaggy screaming. When they were completely out of sight, the beam of light faded and teh strange ship that it came from vanished and the dumpsters fell down, crushing the scorpion robot that had gotten there and rammed into the wall.
Then, they showed up inside a metal area of sorts as in the walls were all metal, the floors were all metal, and after few seconds, they fell down to the floor.
"Whoa man...dig that crazy elevator." Shaggy comments before looking over at Scooby and Sonic. "Are you two okay?"
"Yeah...we're good." Sonic stated in response as they got up
"RWhere are we?" Scooby questions
