Chapter 26

Kaname didn't seem deterred at all as he breathed deeply. "Zero and I are dating." And Cross immediately blurted out the coffee in his mouth, effectively showering Kaname's face with it.

Kaname slowly moved to take his hanky out of his pocket before he slowly wiped the spilt coffee off his face. He looked at Cross seriously even though he could feel Zero's panicked gaze on him.

Cross chuckled darkly as he looked at Kaname. "I think I heard wrongly. What did you say again, Kuran-kun?" And the two vampires could definitely see the dark aura coming out of him.

Zero bit his lower lip, fearing for Kaname's life. He sighed as he took it upon himself to speak next. He just hoped that he wouldn't get the same coffee-filled treatment. "Kaien-san, Kaname and I are mates now."

"Blood Mates, to be exact." Kaname added as he finished wiping his face.

"…Since when?" If possible, Cross's dark aura got even darker. A legendary hunter like him certainly knew what the hell 'blood mates' meant. It's not only what the name suggested. It also meant that Zero and Kaname were more than just lovers now, more than just partners, more than just two people sharing life as one. They've already became one. It also meant that when one of them was to leave this world, the other one would surely follow soon after… Not that he was doubting Kaname or even Zero. But… but..!

Even Cross's eyes looked like the devil's and Kaname fought back a gulp. He didn't think telling Cross about their relationship would be this hard. He could just imagine how Yuzuru had gone through when he told the same thing to Cross.

Zero gulped though. Kaname cleared his throat again before he answered. "Since two weeks ago, Chairman."

And Cross visibly trembled in his seat as the two vampires readied themselves for whatever was coming. Instead of breaking into an angry fit, however, they almost sweatdropped when Cross broke into a wailing fit. "Zero-kun! Yuuki-chan! All my babies are leaving me alone now!"

Zero sighed as he glared at Kaname. "I didn't think you'd tell him so soon."

"I don't want to wait since the reaction might be worse." Kaname merely shrugged as they both watched Cross wail with his childish pout on.

Zero had to calm him down after a while and Cross had been giving Kaname childish glares since then. The pureblood could only sigh at their Chairman's childish antics. But afterwards, Cross turned serious again as he congratulated them. He gave another glare to Kaname before he threatened to hunt the pureblood down if he ever made Zero cry. The silver-haired teen grimaced at that while Kaname nodded in utter seriousness.

"Alright, you two, why don't you spend the rest of the day in town?" He voiced when he felt that Zero was just wasting his time idling when it's his birthday.

"Thank you, Kaien-san. But I think I'll just spend the rest of the afternoon processing everything you said. I also… want to think about… things. Everything came as a shock to me earlier when I suddenly remembered and I can't help but want to think about it more…" Zero smiled as he bowed in respect before he left.

"Can I stay together with you while you think?" Kaname asked when they both went to the younger hunter's room. Zero merely nodded as he opened the door.

The sight of several wrapped gifts made them blink and Zero decided to open them there and then while he thought of things.

Kaname, on the other hand, used the teen's distracted thought to pull him in front of the mirror and made him face it while the pureblood stood behind him. "Happy birthday, Zero." And Zero's eyes widened when a necklace appeared from nowhere while Kaname put it on him. He scowled since it somehow looked similar to those sappy romance films that Yuzuru often watched during their younger years. But the gesture made him a lot giddy and happy nevertheless.

"Thank you, Kaname." He voiced as he looked at Kaname's charming chocolate eyes directly in the mirror. Kaname looked at him through the mirror and smiled as well.

Afterwards, the two busied themselves opening the gifts that the others gave Zero. Kaname scowled at Yuzuru's magazines filled with naked ladies while he glared at the female Day Class students' gifts. Zero kept on sighing as Kaname kept on glaring at many different gifts that they opened. The pureblood even growled at Yoru's necklace gift, deeming his own gift more valuable and beautiful than the other guy's gift.

Zero chuckled at that. He liked the calm and cool pureblood a lot, but it seemed the awfully scowling and possessive, not to mention the easily-jealous-type, pureblood was exceptionally charming as well. Somehow, for all the things that Kaname had done today, he wanted to give the brunette something too.

After Zero opened all the gifts, he put them on the study table and looked at Kaname's pretty scowling face while the latter sat on the bed with his feet dangling on the floor. The brunette looked jealous enough to be considered sulking.

"Why do I feel like you're about to attack me?" Kaname asked suspiciously as he eyed Zero's expression while standing beside the table.

Zero didn't answer, but merely smirked as he moved in vampire speed and pushed the surprised pureblood on the bed. Since the teen wasn't used to such things, he immediately blushed at the daring act, but he held his ground. He cupped Kaname's cheeks and slowly leaned down to kiss the brunette. He nibbled on his lover's lip before he licked them. He felt Kaname smile before the pureblood opened his mouth to offer him entrance.

He shyly entered and explored, Kaname's quiet moans giving him the necessary resolve to continue and not hide from embarrassment. "I… love you, Kaname." He voiced quietly when they broke for air.

The sudden shift in their position made his eyes widen. And he realized all too late that he's already pinned down the bed by none other than a smirking pureblood. "Have I ever told you that it's not a good thing to seduce an awfully turned on pureblood?"

Zero's cheeks colored up as he scowled. "You told me no such thing."

"Really?" Kaname's smirk turned wider before he closed the distance between them.

This time, as usual, Kaname lead. But this time, Zero responded to everything the pureblood did, making the kiss a lot more torrid than usual. Kaname tilted his head a little as he explored his beloved hunter's mouth with his tongue while he danced together with Zero's. The kiss was passionate, but was also sweet and loving.

When they broke apart, both of their cheeks have colored up from lack of air and too much blood on their faces.

"…So, what caused the sudden horny attitude?" Kaname asked, and he immediately earned a scowl and a jab on the stomach from Zero. He chuckled as he also groaned from the pain. He rolled over to his side so he was facing the hunter while they both lay on the bed. He really liked teasing Zero so much.

"I'm not horny." Zero said with a scowl. He sat up and looked at the vampire lying beside him. "I just… want to thank you." His voice turned quiet and Kaname knew not to tease him this time. "I… I wanted to just die and disappear because of the guilt and remorse, not to mention sadness and grief… but because of you, I… I feel like I can live on…"

Kaname was surprised at the honest confession, but it made him a lot happy. He pulled down the hunter together on the bed with him so he could hug Zero tightly. He's glad that Zero was a very honest person, even if he was sometimes, no, most of the time stubborn. "You don't need to thank me. We're mates now, right? I won't hold back from protecting you and making you happy anymore. I'll make sure to give you my all from now on too."

"…Don't say such sappy lines when I'm saying important things here." Zero scowled while trying to hide the fact that the statements made him a lot happy. He heard Kaname chuckle just as he felt the vibrations on the other's chest. It calmed him down a lot… Even if those words were the only gift he received from Kaname, he would've still 'attacked' him earlier. Those words alone were enough to save him from the deep dark void that he's bound to fall into after what happened…

"…Zero, I know you might still have doubts about things. And if ever you feel down again, don't hesitate to come to me. I will never say no to you." Kaname said as he hugged Zero tighter. "Remember that always."

Zero listened to the words silently with closed eyes. He wanted to hear Kaname's words so badly he couldn't help but listen even though some of the pureblood's statements were too sappy. He now wondered since when had he become so attached to Kaname emotionally… He knew he wasn't this obsessed with Kaname before. Was it because of the bond? Or was it because it was Kaname?

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

When Zero opened his eyes next, he realized that it was already dark outside. Oh, he slept. He blinked in confusion at the heavy lump of something on his chest before he found himself staring at brunette locks. He smiled as he inhaled the scent of Kaname's hair while the latter slept soundly on top of him, with the latter's head pillowing on his chest. He circled his arms around Kaname's back and hugged him gently so as to not wake him up. The pureblood's quiet, even breathing would've lulled him back into sleep, but the quiet knocks on the door prevented him from doing that.

He wanted to talk and let the person outside come in but he realized he was actually in a quite intimate position with Kaname right now. He didn't want any unnecessary embarrassment.

"Kaname, wake up. Someone's knocking on the door." He voiced before he shook Kaname's shoulder gently. As if in response, the knock resumed again. But Kaname only groaned and nuzzled on his neck before sleeping soundly again. "Oy, Kaname. Wake up." He shook the pureblood again but Kaname only mumbled something incoherent, not even bothering to open his eyes.

Zero sighed. He was about to push Kaname a bit when the door suddenly opened. Cross's head peaked a little and, when his and Zero's eyes met, the younger hunter readily reddened up to the tips of his ears because of the position.

Cross scowled childishly and even wanted to talk loudly just to wake Kaname up but he refrained from doing so since he'd never seen Kaname sleep so peacefully before. The pureblood normally didn't let his guard down even when sleeping. It was a sight to behold, Kaname snoring quietly while nuzzling on his nephew's… Nuzzling on his nephew… on his nephew…

Zero could feel the dark aura suddenly coming out of Cross and Zero could only blush more. "W-What is it, Kaien-san?"

"Oh, right." Cross cleared his throat, and spared one last glare at Kaname, before his expression suddenly turned serious. "Yuzuru and the others are already back and… the two of you have a mission this evening."

Zero's eyes narrowed at that but he still accepted it calmly. Right now, what he needed wasn't fear. It's information. He wanted, no, needed to know what's really happening in the Association and also what they were planning to do to him.

"I'll go with you." The quiet voice beside Zero brought the two hunters out of their thoughts. Zero looked at Kaname's calm but serious chocolate eyes and he knew there was no way he could stop the pureblood from following him anyway, if those eyes were any indication.

Cross gave Kaname a weak glare for sleeping together with his beloved nephew but he still put that topic aside, for now. "I think I agree with Kuran-kun. I heard from Yuzuru-kun that the mission is a little more dangerous than normal. I'll find a little peace of mind knowing that there are three of you fighting instead of only two."

"You can't refuse me, Zero." Kaname voiced in that seductive tone of his once again, which made Cross clear his throat and made Zero scowl in embarrassment.

"Just so you know, I don't plan to. I want to save myself the trouble." Zero answered as he stood up from the bed, yawning while he stretched a little. He immediately took some clothes in his drawer before he went in the bathroom to bathe and change clothes.

Cross watched his nephew until the door closed before his gaze turned to Kaname. "Don't tell me you're always, always harassing my nephew like that?" The tone was dark but it wasn't angry.

Kaname merely chuckled as he shrugged. "That's just my own way of showing affection, Cross-san. Please don't mind it."

Cross narrowed his eyes once again before he sighed in defeat. "…Please take care of him. Zero-kun tends to be overzealous when it comes to missions, especially since he's part of the Elite Force."

"Of course, Chairman." And Kaname disappeared into the darkness of the night, probably to change clothes and also bathe.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Yuzuru kept on glaring as they all sat in a first class compartment in the train. The brunette hunter was allowed to board alone but the male insisted that he'd choose the room where Zero was, especially since he didn't want Kaname alone in the room with his kouhai. Of course, Kaname wouldn't choose any other room than where Zero was so the three of them were currently in a quite comfortable compartment. Kaname sat beside Zero while wearing his usual cool and composed expression, obviously giving Yuzuru a degrading look. The latter had his glaring mode on the whole time and Zero felt at peace while he slept beside the pureblood, his head leaning on the brunette's shoulder. He's obviously already fallen asleep from exhaustion due to the tense situation.

"Why the hell are you traveling with us?" Yuzuru hissed quietly so as to not wake Zero up. "This is a hunter mission only for Zero and me. It has nothing to do with you."

"For the hundredth time, Takano-san, it is my business because I want it to be. You have no right to stop me." Kaname coolly answered, but seriously this time. "Don't worry. I will never interfere with your mission. My only business here is to make sure that Zero is safe."

"You don't trust him, do you?" The brunette hunter asked in a mocking tone.

"No, I trust Zero. But that doesn't mean I'm not worried." Kaname answered, still with a calm and composed expression. "Instead of idling around and worrying while waiting for him to come back, I figured I'd want to help him in ways that I can."

The statement was pure of sincerity and seriousness that Yuzuru was a little taken aback. He didn't think Kaname was capable of saying such words in front of someone else other than Zero – not that he was sure the pureblood was really telling those words to the silver-haired hunter. Now that he thought about it, Kaname looked different somehow. His expression was that of indifference, but the aura surrounding him wasn't like that at all. Was he that worried about Zero? The older hunter sighed before he looked at Kaname again. "…Well, just don't try to get in Zero's way. Instead of helping him, you might end up hurting his pride by protecting him way too much."

"…I'll keep that in mind." Kaname's expression turned gentle and Yuzuru couldn't help but blink in case he was just imagining things. But at least, the hunter could feel that Kaname's feelings for his kouhai were serious and sincere. It meant a lot to him.

When Zero woke up an hour later, he was a little surprised to find Kaname and Yuzuru making some small conversations without snarling or glaring at one another. It seemed some good things happened while he's asleep. "Where are we now?" He asked.

"We're almost there." Yuzuru smiled when he saw how relaxed Zero seemed right now. He was usually stiff and cold before a mission so the older hunter was surprised. Kaname's influence, huh…

"Are you hungry?" Kaname asked and, with that, the unspoken question.

Zero merely shook his head, indicating he wasn't hungry… or thirsty. Well, at least not yet.

Yuzuru already briefed them about the mission earlier before they left the dorm so there was no need to talk about it anymore. The mission was just like their usual hunting missions where they were asked to hunt down the vampires responsible for the disappearing citizens of a city in the west. The only thing different this time was the fact that aside from the reports about Level Es, there were also reports saying there was a ringleader behind the scenes. It wasn't confirmed yet, but the Association wanted Zero and Yuzuru to eliminate this certain vampire together with the Level Es no matter who it was – meaning they were to fight the vampire and kill it even if it was a pureblood. And most likely, it was a pureblood.

"We're here." Yuzuru voiced after a while.

They readied their things and double-checked everything before they went outside. The cold damp air of winter greeted their cheeks and they all involuntarily shivered from the vast difference of temperature in the train and outside. They hired a taxi and went to the destination immediately.

"As I've said, the mansion we're about to attack right now is in the middle of a residential area. Put a silencer on your gun, Zero." Yuzuru commanded as the Team Leader. He totally looked different from the usual happy-go-lucky senpai that Kaname was used to seeing. But it seemed the older hunter wasn't the only one different in aura. Even his Zero's quiet aura felt very deadly right now, if he were to say so himself.

The younger hunter merely nodded as he did what was told. Afterwards, Yuzuru started giving out commands, not only to Zero but to Kaname as well. "If you want to be on the team, you have to do as I say." The older hunter voiced quietly, but with clarity. Kaname arched an eyebrow at him, but the pureblood still nodded when he received a jab on the side from Zero.

And without further ado, the three of them sneaked into the huge mansion where the reports said the dead bodies were found during the mornings. Both Zero and Kaname moved with vampire swiftness and grace while Yuzuru with the refinement and quietness of a hunter. They decided to take different routes and just send a signal on the receiver if they needed help or if they found the leader of the Level Es. Kaname reluctantly agreed to let Zero go as he decided to hunt down as many vampires as possible in just a short time so he could be reunited with his lover sooner. Zero, on the other hand, could feel several strong presences on the floor that he went to, but he wasn't sure if he should face them by himself. He wasn't really scared about the fact that they could be dangerous. He was more concerned at the fact that if they were indeed dangerous, he might fail to kill them and they might escape – resulting to the failure of the mission.

"Tch." He hissed when he felt that the aura of the vampires changed, meaning they would escape if he didn't face them now. He pushed the button of his receiver, signaling his two companions that the master vampire would most likely be on his side, before he dashed into a huge hall.

It didn't matter that it was dark since his eyes could still see well despite that. He fired at Level Es after Level Es for several minutes without stopping or even batting an eyelid. The only thing that made him stop in his tracks, and also shocked him a lot, was the fact that there, on the stairs, stood none other than a smirking Rido Kuran. He wasn't able to sense him earlier.

"Good evening, Zero-kun." He voiced with his usual calmness. And Zero stood there, frozen in shock when another man came out of the shadows. Or more specifically, Zero wasn't aware the man was there until he showed himself.

"Kuran, it's a trap!" Yuzuru's voice on the receiver distracted Kaname a lot and he actually got irritated as he smashed several Level Es to smithereens with his mind alone.

"What is?" He asked in his usual tone. He wasn't used to the fact that someone would dare shout so near his ears – since the receiver was a small earring-like device – and he could feel his eardrums vibrating from the sound.

"The mission! Go to Zero immediately!" The other side shouted in panic and Kaname didn't wait any second more when he heard that. He immediately ran in vampire speed to the direction of Zero's presence.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

"Won't you greet little old me, Zero?" The man beside Rido smiled coldly and Zero stood there in shock.

It seemed time had frozen in the room as he felt how his body had gone immobile from shock, fright, disbelief, and confusion all at the same time. There was just no way this boy… no, this man could be alive…

"Zero, you look like you just saw a ghost." Rido chuckled at Zero's reaction and that somehow woke the teen up.

"Y-You…" He gulped as he stared at the mirror image of himself. "Ichiru…"

Ichiru's smile widened. "It seems you didn't forget me then. Am I always hunting your dreams, Zero?"

"W-What's happening here?!" Zero asked as he looked at both Rido and Ichiru, obviously too confused at everything. He knew very well that his younger brother was dead. He knew that for sure, but the man standing before him, having the same color of hair and eyes as him, the same pale complexion as him… It couldn't be anyone other than Ichiru.

To his surprise, Ichiru laughed. "I actually didn't intend to show you myself yet. But you're as quick as always, Zero. You always go over my expectations. This ends here… for now. I still have many things to do. But don't worry. We'll see each other soon." He then looked at Rido. "Please take care of my older twin brother, Rido-san." He gave the man a sweet smile before he vanished in vampire speed.

Zero could only watch in shock and disbelief as his supposed brother disappeared. Or rather, escaped. He wanted to know what's happening, but he wasn't able to find any answer. Not to mention he let the possible ringleader escape from the place without doing anything… Damn…

"You're confused, aren't you?" Rido played with the curls of his brunette locks as he walked towards Zero's direction. He was partly amazed and partly irritated when Zero moved away almost too quickly even though he was trying to overwhelm and pin down the younger vampire with his aura alone.

"Rido." The name was said with distaste, but more with curiosity. "Tell me what's happening."

"Heh, you've learned the guts to actually try to command me now, huh? Just like what your brother is doing." He smirked at the sight of confusion swimming in those lovely amethyst orbs. Oh, how he wanted to devour the boy who looked so much like his beloved Shiro…

"What do you mean by that?" Zero asked. He didn't know if he'd feel relief when he sensed that Kaname was near now or if he would feel dread and worry for Kaname.

"It means I'm not the only one pulling the strings here, Zero." Rido chuckled at the surprised expression of the hunter. "Do you really think I can access too much information and even hold up this event right now alone and without an ally in the Association? Do you really think it would be you and not just any other hunter in the Elite Force who'd be given the mission if it weren't for that connection? Ah, and one more thing, do you really think the Association is your ally, Zero?"

Zero's eyes widened at that. The Association has something to do with this? "Get to the point!" He growled the words as he glared at the man in front of him. The man who looked like his beloved Kaname… But more than that, he felt frustration and ache at the thought of the Association's betrayal. Why would they..? How could they..? Even though he'd given almost all his life serving and believing them… How could they betray him so easily..?

"Your brother is alive and well. There is no need to doubt that. You just saw him earlier, right? There is no other explanation than that. And… do you know where Ichiru stayed this whole time, Zero?" Rido asked then, obviously trying to piss Zero off more.

Zero, on the other hand, was still in disbelief about his so-called brother. But if that was true, if Ichiru was really alive, then the last question made sense. That is, until he realized the implication. "Don't tell me..!"

"Oh yes, Zero. He stayed with me that whole time!" Rido's eyes gleamed darkly before he laughed at his own words just as Zero felt like his knees would not be able to support him anymore. "Don't worry, Zero. I like you more than him. Ichiru might look like your father but he doesn't have what's inside. But you're different. You're a complete copy of Shiro, both inside and out." He gazed at Zero lovingly and the teen felt his whole body tremble in disgust. "I followed Ichiru's orders not because I was threatened. But because it looks to me as if Shiro was the one giving the command. But the words coming out of his mouth were different and very not Shiro-like. But you…"

Zero's eyes widened when he realized that Rido had moved from his position and was now going to attack. He immediately backed away in response, but it was all too late. The man immediately grabbed his chin and, before Zero could even react, Rido had already smashed their lips together.

The hunter's immediate reaction was deep and utter repulsion at the sensation. Rido was a pureblood and the kiss felt nice despite the rough way the older male did it. But all he could feel was overwhelming nausea and disgust as he pushed the pureblood away with all his might.

Rido laughed crazily, licking his lips as if tasting the remains of the hunter's essence, while Zero wiped his mouth with the back of his arm. "You fucking bastard." The hunter growled. "You crazy fucking bastard!" His whole body was trembling from too many emotions – mainly from shock and disgust – and he didn't know if he would get frustrated or if he would dare… No, he would definitely dare!

Rido's eyes widened when Zero suddenly vanished from his spot earlier. The older man smirked when he felt Zero's presence behind him a mere second before the attack so he was able to dodge perfectly.

"My beautiful half-pureblood Zero…" He said as he dodged every attack Zero made with swiftness and grace befitting a powerful pureblood like him. Of course, Zero's movements and attacks were also beautiful, not to mention graceful in every way, but the older vampire had much experience reading the movements of another pureblood and the hunter could only attack in futility.

Zero gritted his teeth in frustration as his every attack was dodged. The futile effort of attacking went on for some more minutes before Zero noticed that Rido's aura suddenly changed. He immediately tried to get ready for it, whatever it was that Rido was planning, but he was a tad too late.

He gasped when he felt the air get knocked out of his stomach at the sudden punch he received. It held too much power and even he, as a half-pureblood and a hunter, couldn't handle it. No..! His mind screamed as he felt his vision slowly darkening.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Zero groaned as his eyes slowly opened. He initially thought that he was back to his room, but then he felt that the air was unfamiliar. His eyes immediately opened wide when he remembered what happened before he lost consciousness. He also knew by instinct that it was a different mansion from the one he was in before he lost his consciousness. He tried to get up but realized that he couldn't. He couldn't even move.

"Shit…" He mumbled groggily as he eyed the hunter cuffs tying his hands and feet to the four sides of the bed. He was spread-eagled as he lay there and he couldn't help but feel uncomfortable. He never really liked feeling vulnerable and he was more than just vulnerable right now. He's fucking naked! He could feel the cold air through his bare skin and he couldn't help but shiver.

All of a sudden, he felt his rear hole vibrate and he yelped in both surprise and the sudden pleasure that raked his whole body. His hole felt full and he's sure something's stuck in there. He gulped in dread as he squirmed in deep discomfort. He immediately bit his lip to prevent himself from screaming any further. Please… let this be a fucking nightmare…

"You're awake at last." Rido's cold voice echoed throughout the room and Zero's fear only escalated. He immediately glared at the man who just entered the room, holding in his hand what seemed to be a button. He pressed it with his thumb and the vibration suddenly stopped.

Zero lay there, body shivering from coldness, fear, and pleasure. His forehead was full of cold sweat and his breath hitched with every step Rido took as the man approached him.

"You don't know how much I wanted to do this very thing to Shiro…" Rido licked his lips as he closed his eyes, as if remembering the face of his beloved. "You don't know… how much I wanted so badly to lock him up in this very mansion and have him all to myself… But alas, my friendship with him prevented all of my fantasies…"

"You're crazy!" Zero hissed the words but then gritted his teeth when the vibrator suddenly turned on again. He struggled in futility just as Rido chuckled beside the bed, watching him with amusement.

"You really look very much like Shiro… My adorable, beloved Shiro…" He said as he cupped Zero's cheek and kissed him.

Zero immediately tried to get away by facing sideways but Rido's hold on his cheek was tighter than it looked. He even tried to bite the older male's tongue but his strength didn't seem enough for some reason. He kept on struggling but, in the end, Rido only pulled away when he finished ravishing the younger male's mouth.

Rido licked his lips as he savored the taste of the son of his beloved. "Shiro must taste like that too…" And Zero lay there panting, eyes wide with fear and teary with disgust.

"You crazy bastard..!" The teen fought back his fear. His hunter side was rampaging with panic and his vampire side felt defeated by the presence of an older and more powerful pureblood. He could feel his body trembling from fear and he tried his best to hide it in vain.

He gasped when he suddenly felt the vibrating rod inside him secreted out a sticky liquid and filled him even more.

"Does it feel good?" Rido asked as he started kissing and licking Zero's neck. "I can make you feel a thousand times more pleasure than how my nephew does." Zero felt deep pleasure rake his whole body when the older male suddenly bit his neck and drew out blood, moaning at its delicious taste. Zero bit his lower lip until it bled just so he wouldn't let out a moan, not even a single one. The man fisted his member and started pumping it up and down with one hand while continuing with his drink. He tried to pry Rido's hand off of him but it was to no avail, mainly because he still couldn't find his strength right now and also because he's tied up. No, the only one he loved was Kaname..! He'd never let another man take him like this..! But the fact that Rido looked like an older version of Kaname, only wilder and more mentally unstable than his lover, didn't help at all.

No! They're not the same at all! Kaname was different… Kaname was a pervert, yes, but he never forced Zero into anything the hunter didn't like… Kaname was gentle… Kaname… Kaname…

"Kaname…" He whimpered as the first teardrop fell on his cheek.

The mouth that kept on ravishing his neck and the hand that kept on pumping him suddenly stopped and Zero felt more dread than actual relief. He thought that something was up from the way Rido growled before the latter pulled away from him and looked at him quite coldly. The older male then pulled out the vibrator from his rear.

"I see… So that's how it is." Rido voiced before he slowly stood up. "So you two are bonded." He smirked. "So that's the reason why he's able to get here so soon." Zero's eyes widened at that. Those words made him feel relieved. "Don't get so relieved Zero. I can take care of him without actually killing him. He's just a brat whose parents I killed with my own hands."

"You bastard!" Zero voiced with a heated glare. All his fears disappeared immediately after he heard those words. Or more appropriately, his fear transformed into fear of losing Kaname. Deep anger also surged out from him when Rido directly said that he killed Kaname's parents. He'd never forgive Rido for that.

"Oh, he's here." Rido smiled as he looked at the door. It burst into tiny dust particles just before the presence of a very murderous pureblood filled the whole room.

"Zero!" Kaname's voice just as the pureblood appeared distracted Zero a little. And that was enough for Rido to make a move. He pulled the hunter's arm close and, taking advantage of both Kaname and Zero's stunned reactions, roughly gave the hunter another hungry kiss.

He then swiftly punched Zero on the stomach with a force enough to turn a cinder block into smithereens – and he still held back since Zero was the son of his precious beloved. But Zero's strength as a vampire prevented what would have been an instant death for any other hunter and he merely flew some feet in the air and smashed onto the wall several meters away–the chains that tied him up so securely broke with much ease from the force. The huge impact of his body on the wall made him throw up some blood before he slumped down the floor.

Kaname's eyes widened at those scenes before the glasses on the windows all broke with earsplitting noise at the intensity of the younger Kuran's fury. The broken glasses then, within seconds, all stormed down Rido like a tornado, trying to turn him into minced meat. The younger Kuran's eyes turned a lot darker, even darker than the usual crimson color, because of too much rage. How dare that monster put his filthy lips on his lover's!? How dare he touch Zero with those filthy hands of his!? How dare that man punch Zero and make him throw up blood!? How dare he hurt Zero!?

Rido blew away the glasses with the command of his hand just as he watched Kaname dash over to Zero. "Heh… It seems I have to punish my nephew for daring to steal what's mine."

Kaname sighed in relief when he saw Zero open his eyes. "Are you alright?" He asked, and was relieved when Zero smiled a tad and nodded. He took off his trench coat and put it on his lover. "Stay here for a while and gather up your strength first." The hunter smiled again. He was glad that Kaname didn't underestimate his strength and merely asked him to 'take a break'.

Kaname looked at the older Kuran and used his mind power to try to blow Rido into pieces as well, but in vain. Every time he'd use his power, Rido would move just mere seconds before and Kaname would end up destroying the walls, the furniture, and floor instead. His eyes grew cold in quiet rage just as his aura became intensely deadly. And the fight between two powerful purebloods began, destroying not only the room but also the whole mansion in the process while they tried to claw one another's hearts out.

Zero watched as Kaname fought against Rido in vampire speed. Even an Elite hunter like Yuzuru wouldn't be able to see the fight anymore because of the extreme swiftness the two vampires had. Zero silently cheered for his lover as he calmly aimed for a chance to help. He knew Rido had the chance to evade everything because his senses were extremely heightened. He needed to destroy that. Or maybe, use it against him…

"You have to calm down and aim properly. Your gun is on the table, at 9 o'clock, 2 meters away." Zero was a bit surprised at the voice on his ears. Then he remembered the receiver. It seemed Rido didn't pull it out, or better yet, didn't see it because it was too small to be discerned as anything other than earring. He's now sure Yuzuru was currently watching the fight from somewhere. He's glad that the older male didn't rush into the room like how normal hunters usually would. That would surely distract Kaname even a little and Rido would definitely use that opportunity to finish the other pureblood off.

And thus, Zero did just as he was told. Yuzuru must've thought that he would use Bloody Rose when he told the younger hunter to aim properly. He immediately saw his Bloody Rose on the table beside the wall he was currently leaning on. He has no strength to get it yet though. But no matter.

What they didn't know was the fact that he has another ace up his sleeve. Zero calmed his senses down to the point where his presence couldn't be noticed at all. Since Rido and Kaname were busy fighting and wrecking the whole place, they wouldn't be able to notice it if ever he'd try to do something now. No, he had to make sure that Rido wouldn't be able to do anything even if he were to notice the attack.

His eyes slowly turned into glowing crimson orbs as he breathed deeply. "Kaname, this is the result of my practice with you." And he aimed at Rido just as he let the fire rapidly spread even without contact. At that same time, Kaname used his mind power against the enemy. It was also the moment when Yuzuru made a move.

Rido was about to avoid his nephew's attack when he suddenly felt a silent presence approaching. That distraction was a huge mistake on his part since the fire burned his foot instantly even though he thought he'd avoided it completely. His eyes widened when his left arm and shoulder got caught in Kaname's mind blowing power, literally.

He screamed in pain as he gritted his teeth. What the hell just happened? Even if Zero's fire got his feet, which was already something he couldn't believe happened, there was no way he couldn't have avoided Kaname's attack like that. His eyes turned crimson in anger just as he glared at Kaname who looked at him coolly. And then he looked at his burnt shoulder to know what's wrong. Hunter bullet. Now that he thought about it, he felt another presence nearby, but he didn't mind it since the aura of that hunter wasn't that of a deadly predator, but that of a worried friend. He really thought that that other hunter would go to Zero, but he was wrong. He couldn't believe he fell into such a cheap trick – to get him distracted so they could attack him all at once. And from the looks of it, the bullet that the hunter fired with an obvious silencer was silver.

"I can't believe you managed to give me wounds." He tried to smirk but he could only grimace right now. His wounds would immediately heal if only he would have blood. Ah, that's a nice idea. But he knew better than to do that when there were three enemies present. What he needed to do first was escape. Food could wait later. "Well, it was fun meeting you again, Kaname, Zero. See you again next–"

"Oh no, you don't." Both Yuzuru and Zero voiced as they both fired a red bullet at him, much like what was used to Zero that night some months ago. Zero used his Bloody Rose – having gotten it from the table after some rest – while Yuzuru used his own gun. The latter came out of his hiding place just outside the room, or rather, what was left of the room. Kaname looked over his shoulder in mild surprise at the swiftness that Yuzuru had. He never knew the Elite Force was this strong even with just two members against a pureblood.

Rido gritted his teeth more while he tried to will the sudden intense pain away. Zero looked away from the sight since he knew very well the kind of hell that Rido must be feeling right now. He didn't want to feel sympathy for the prey that they have to hunt, or it would be the end of him. Instead, he slowly stood up and walked to where Kaname was before he faced Rido. He fired his Blood Rose at Rido's chest, where his heart was, in mercy since it would replace the extreme burning sensation with the numbing sensation of death.

"Tell me everything, Rido." He voiced coldly. Both Yuzuru and Kaname looked at him in confusion and curiosity but didn't comment on anything.

Rido chuckled mirthlessly when the situation he was in finally dawned to him. He's dying… He'd die at the hands of the son of his beloved… and at the hands of his crazy nephew… He knew he should've killed Kaname back then too…

"He… was the mastermind behind everything…" And Rido started convulsing as he knelt on the floor. He vomited blood and he cupped his mouth with his able hand. "He's the one… who commanded me to… ask Shizuka… I made her bite you because he commanded me to… He wanted you to… He's also… the one… who killed them… He… killed them…" And he found out he couldn't talk anymore because of the blood clogging his mouth. He fell on a heap on the floor, unable to move and even do anything else.

Ah… Finally… Finally, he'd be able to see Shiro again… and maybe tease him a bit since his sons were a little more than he deserved… He smiled to himself at the thought just as his vision slowly darkened. Shiro… your sons grew up to be quite deadly predators… And just before everything darkened, the last thing he saw was Shiro's face… Shiro's silver hair… Shiro's amethyst eyes… Shiro's… son…

"Shiro… I…"

Zero watched as Rido's body slowly turned into red crystal-like particles before exploding beautifully in the air. There wasn't even a trace left, except the fact that there were small glittering particles on the floor. And just as everything ended like nothing, his knees gave out and Kaname immediately knelt beside him to examine him for injuries.

"Zero…" Kaname voiced quietly when he saw his lover's tears fall down one by one. He initially thought that Zero was crying because he was almost raped.

"I'm sorry, Kaname… I know I shouldn't…" Zero voiced. He knew he shouldn't feel any grief over the death of an enemy. But Rido… earlier, he looked like he was… "He really… loved oto-san, didn't he..?"

And for a pureblood like Rido, there could only be Shiro for the rest of his life… He could never love anybody else…

"…Yes, he did." Kaname closed his eyes, the image of Rido's eyes while he gazed at Zero before he died was… pitiful. He's obviously not seeing Zero then, but Zero's pureblood father… He couldn't even feel the hatred and anger that he had for the pureblood now. All he could feel was the fact that Rido, the miserable pureblood who had lost everything, was dead. And just to make himself feel a little better, Kaname immediately used his sleeve to wipe Zero's mouth. He didn't want any other essence on his lover's mouth, or any part of Zero's body for that matter, except his own.

Zero blinked at him when he did that and he only smiled. The hunter seemed to have guessed what's going on in his mind and was now giving him a scowl.

"Let's go back." Yuzuru quiet but gentle voice made the two of them turn their heads. The older hunter let out a small smile. "I'll take care of the report." Zero nodded and Kaname helped him stand up again while Yuzuru called for reinforcement who would clean the place up so people wouldn't suspect that something happened, even though the loud explosions from Kaname's power and the sudden wrecked mansion in the morning was enough of a suspicion for people to think that something did happen. Not that there were any neighbors close enough to hear anything.

I made Rido here as an enemy but I feel pity for him when I was writing this.
