*Seven months later*

I stand outside the train station standing on the tips of toes trying to look through the crowd of students also on their way to school. I start jumping to try and see if I can get a better view but to no avail. I then stand on the curb and start to jump again. However, I miss the curb and almost fall flat on my face. However, a pair of familiar catch me just in time.

"Wow there jackrabbit." Edmund laughs as he sets both of my feet back on the ground. "I know you are excited but if you don't calm down you are going to hurt yourself." He says leaving his arms around me.

"Well you would be too if you get to see your brother for the first time in years." I say practically squealing. He laughs again and rolls his eyes.

"Are you seeing your brother? I hadn't heard. It's not like you have been talking about it nonstop since you received his letter." He replies sarcastically.

"I have been talking about it a lot haven't I?" I say a little shyly looking down.

"I think it's cute." He says leaning in to kiss me slowly. I wiggle out of his arms and laugh.

"Wow there." I say giving him a sly look. "I don't want the first time Rodger sees me in a long time be you attacking my face. Honestly, I didn't miss teenage Edmund attacking my lips every chance he got." I tease, reaching out and pushing the brim of his hat in his eyes. He in return lets out a humph and adjusts the hat.

"It's bad enough that I got demoted to boyfriend but I have to go through puberty again too. So, excuse me if I want to show my girlfriend a little affection." He says in fake annoyance. "What time did he say he will be here?"

I pull my brother's letter from my coat pocket as Edmund slips his arms back around me and rests his head on my shoulder to also look at the letter.

"It doesn't say. Just that his unit was traveling and that they will be at the train station the same day as us." I say scanning the letter for what felt like the one-hundredth time. However, my mood dampens when I read my least favorite sentence in the whole letter. "You know there may be a chance I don't get to see him at all." I say in disappointment.

"Hey." Edmund says lifting my chin to look at him. "Don't think like that. You will get to see him." He says reassuringly.

"Thanks, Ed." I say going on my tiptoes to give him a quick peck on the lips.

"Careful because we don't want the first time your brother sees you in years be you attacking my face." He mocks.

"Edmund you know how important this is to me." I reminded him pointedly. "You know that my parents are not the biggest fan of how close we are. They think that we are too serious for only knowing each other for a year. So you must make a good impression on Rodger." I say sitting down on the nearby bench.

"I know you gave us all that speech this morning at breakfast." He says sitting down next to me. "And it's not our fault that our connection is so strong. In Narnia we..." I shudder at the mention of Narnia. "There you go again." He exclaims.

"What?" I ask nonchalantly.

"For the past almost six months every time we mention Narnia you shudder and get a distant look in your eyes." He says looking at me concerned. I look away not knowing how to answer.

"It's just that I feel like a part of myself is missing without Narnia." I say giving him the half-truth.

"We all feel that way, my love." He says looking at me.

'You have no idea.' I think. Once I lost the feeling of Narnia I was distraught for weeks. We were at school and I would try to act like everything was normal but I think everyone knew something was wrong. The Pevensies think that it is me just missing our other home but it is more than that. Something is wrong in Narnia and I don't know what but I know I can't tell the others. Aslan said so. Instead, I suffer in silence wondering what has happened to my land and people.

"You know I think Peter is a little jealous of Rodger." Edmund says, pulling me from my thoughts.

"What do you mean?" I ask confused.

"He has tried so hard to be the best big brother he can. I think he feels like you are trying to replace him." He says with concern in his voice.

"This is why my parents are concerned!" I shout standing up from the bench and putting my hands on my hips. "The four of you don't understand! I'm not actually a part of your family. I love that you guys have taken me in but I have a family of my own. I can be taken away from you guys at any moment and sent to who knows where! It's scary." I say in frustration. Edmund stands up and wraps his arms around me and kisses my forehead.

"Don't worry love no one will take you away from us. The five of us will be together for the long haul." He says measuring. I let out a sigh as he missed the point I was making.

"Did you get the tickets?" I ask trying to change the subject.

"Yup got all five of them right here." He says patting his jacket pocket. "Come on, let's go for a walk and see if we can find..." Suddenly,

a group of students started rushing down towards the track.

"What's going on?" I ask as we watch the kids flood down the stairs.

"Some guys got into a fight on the platform!" A young boy shouts as he runs by us. My eyes grow wide.

"You don't think?" I ask my boyfriend. He then grabs my hand.

"Come on!" He says as he pulls me down the stairs. We push through the crowd of kids until we finally can see the fight. And of course, in the middle of the fight was Peter. It looked like he was losing as two boys threw him around like a rag doll. Edmund spots his sisters in the crowd and pulls us down to stand next to them. He then leans over to kiss my cheek almost as is saying sorry.

"Edmund don't!" I warn him but it was too late. He was already running the rest of the way down the stairs.

"Edmund!" Lucy yells at her brother in frustration.

I then watch him jump on the back of one of the boys beating his brother up. The two of them throw punches and tackle the others trying to defend their honor. However, the fight is soon broken apart by a sharp whistle. I turn to my horror and see a unit of soldiers come and break up the fight.

All of the spectators rush out of the platform to get away from the trouble. Susan grabs my arm and pulls me up the stairs but I am frozen in shock. I watch as a soldier pulls Edmund up off of the ground.

The soldier was none other than my older brother Rodger.
