Wow - thanks so much for your reviews on the last chapter and for letting me know that you are happy to have an update on this story. I really wasn't sure if anyone would follow a football, English based story, but it made me so happy to read the reviews and you have motivated me to write another short fun chapter.

Hope you like it.

"Oh wow Arizona...this place is gorgeous" Callie said as she stood outside the little house on Middle street and took in the view. It was like something out of a period drama as she looked at the houses painted a variety of pastel colours.

Arizona opened the door and smiled as she spotted some flowers that her dad must have left when he came to turn the heating on. The living room was all cosy with the lamps switched on and a fire made ready to for her to light. After her divorce Arizona had spent many a night relaxing here reading a book with a glass of wine in her hand, she was so happy to be back. Work had been so busy lately she hadn't been down for months.

Arizona turned and realised Callie was no where to be seen, so went back to the front door and found the striker still standing in the street looking at the houses. Middle street literally was the middle street in the town, in between the seafront and the high street where the shops were. It was part of the conservation area and all the properties were listed, meaning the owners couldn't make too many changes to how the houses looked. The road was wide enough for one car only and the street lights were over 100 years old as well. At night when it was deserted it was easy to picture a time centuries ago when the town was a thriving fishing town. Further down the road was a small local pub The Ship where Arizona would go occasionally with her parents. She hoped the pub would survive being closed due to the pandemic.

"You coming in Torres?" She smiled "I'll give you a proper tour tomorrow OK?" She said as she held out a hand for the American.

Callie shook her head as she accepted the hand "it's so cute Arizona" she said as she followed the blonde into the yellow house.

They took off their coats and shoes in the hallway before Arizona smiled "Come on...let me show you round...it's not very big, so it won't take long" Arizona said still holding onto her girlfriends hand.

The living room had wooden beams and log burner and was decorated beautifully with a big L shape sofa and a wingback reading chair by the bay window. Fairy lights wrapped around the stairs.

"Do you like it?" Arizona asked nervously

Callie smiled at the blonde "like it? I love it!" As she studied the books on the shelves and the artwork on the walls "show me more" the American beamed.

The tour took 10 minutes and ended in the kitchen which despite its original age, Arizona had managed to update tastefully. The kitchen led out to a tiny courtyard with more fairy lights a small shed and hammock chair. Callie could totally picture the blonde swinging back and forth in the chair and felt like she knew her even more having been invited into this part of her world.

"Nice one dad!" Arizona said as she stuck her head in the fridge and saw that he had left some supplies. Along with eggs, milk, coffee there were some cheese and salami and an all important bottle of wine. In her excitement to get down here, Arizona had completely forgotten about food.

"Fancy a glass?" She asked Callie as she held out the bottle.

"Love one." Callie replied taking the bottle off the blonde and heading over to the kitchen cabinets to look for glasses.

"Are you OK opening that whilst I go sort the fire out?" Arizona asked as she took the cheese and meat out of the fridge and grabbed a couple plates and cutlery.

"Sure" Callie replied smiling

Arizona quickly lit the fire and sent her dad a quick text letting them know she had arrived safely and thanking him for the food. She was looking forward to seeing them in person again.

Arizona saw the American pull a grimace in pain as she sat down next to the blonde.

"How is it?" Arizona asked concerned about the damage that playing may have done to the already injured ankle.

"I'll live!" Callie responded with a smile as she watched the blonde pour out some wine. They were positioned on a rug in front of the fire next to the coffee table where Arizona had arranged the salami and cheese and some bread.

Callie's ankle was throbbing, but she didn't want to ruin the mood or risk Arizona kicking into physio mode. She wanted girlfriend Arizona tonight.

"How are you feeling?" Callie asked Arizona holding her gaze. Only a few hours ago the blonde had been sobbing in her house after seeing her ex wife. It had been an eventful day

Arizona smiled softly as she stared back at Callie "I'm fine Cal. Honestly." She replied and reflected on the events of the day.

Arizona let lit a little chuckle to herself.

"What?" Callie asked intrigued as to what the Brit found funny.

"Oh I don't know...but if someone had told me three months ago that Callie Torres would be sitting crossed legged, eating cheese and meat with me in my little seaside cottage in Deal...well I probably would have called an ambulance for them!" Arizona smiled.

Callie returned the smile "yeah I guess it does sound pretty crazy. I mean I hadn't even heard of Spurs or Kent come to think of it three months ago."

"Or me!" Arizona added

"Well no...not Arizona Robbins, but I had heard of the former you." Callie thought for a few moments before continuing "Remember when back in the car you said the time as Maxine felt like a different life?"

Arizona nodded "I do" as she took a sip of her wine and studied the brunette in the light of the fire. She really was stunning looking.

"Well...is that how you saw Alex?" Callie asked and fixed her eyes on Arizona's.

"I guess" Arizona responded truthfully "it's obviously fresher in my memory and the thought of seeing Al again did stir up some emotions...correction...a LOT of emotions...but I can't explain how much I needed today."

Callie listened.

"I mean I'm a strong woman, I went through a lot at a young age and so I always knew I never wanted her back" Arizona chuckled "you know when you're watching a movie or a tv show and the female character gets cheated on, but takes the husband back because ultimately she loves him."

"Every time!" Callie said shaking her head "clearly the scripts are written by men!" She added

"Exactly!" Arizona said smiling "well my script was written by me so that was never happening."

"So today was about closure?" Callie asked

"Totally. Closure that until I saw her, I hadn't realised I needed."

"Needed to move on?" Callie asked softly. She knew she was falling in love with Arizona and she needed to hear that Arizona was completely over her ex-wife.

Arizona held the brunette's gaze and nodded

"Needed to start my new life."

Callie cleared the lump that had formed in her throat and took a sip of wine.

"So tell me Arizona Robbins...what does this new life look like?" the brunette asked

Arizona thought for a few moments before answering. She knew what Callie was asking did this new life contain her? The truth was she didn't know. She was definitely developing strong feeling for the American, but it was too early to answer that question. She knew they would at some point have to have a difficult conversation about the future, but tonight wasn't that time.

"Well short term it looks like you naked on this rug" the blonde replied as she leaned in and started kissing Callie.

Callie smiled into the kiss as she felt her girlfriends hands start to wonder down her body, but Arizona dodging the question hadn't gone unnoticed, she was just powerless to resist the blonde right now.

Arizona spun the American around so that her naked body was up against the glass shower wall and started rubbing the brunette's clit from behind.

Callie closed her eyes and lost herself in the sensation of the warm warmer running over her as Arizona's fingers fingers slipped inside her.

She's had plenary of shower sex before, but nothing like this. Arizona had taken charge and the brunette groaned in pleasure as she spread her legs a little wider.

Over the sound of the moans escaping from Callie and the shower water, neither of them heard the gentle knock at the bedroom door and so had the shock of their lives when a few seconds later they were interrupted

"Arizona darling" Mrs Robbins called as she pushed the door the bedroom open and walked into the room. The older woman stopped dead in her tracks as looked across the room straight into the en-suite bathroom and saw two naked bodies in the shower.

"MUM!" Arizona yelled in horror as she quickly pulled her fingers out of Callie

"Oh my!" Came the response as the older blonde turned quickly "I do apologise" she yelled over her shoulder as she rushed back towards the door "...I'll umm wait downstairs..." she added before closing the door behind her in a panic.

"Oh my god...oh my god..." Callie was hyperventilating as she turned to face the blonde "please tell me that did not just happen?" Callie said a look of sheer horror on her face "...Please tell me this is a dream and I'm going to wake up any minute" Callie rambled "oh god I think I'm going to be sick!"

The American rambled on in a horrified voice as she watched Arizona turned the water off and stepped out of the shower cubicle. The blonde looked back at the American who was having a freak out and couldn't stop herself as she burst into laughter.

"Why the fuck are you laughing!" Callie asked horrified at her girlfriends reaction to what just happened.

"Well..." Arizona said smiling as she wrapped a towel around her naked body "I was going to introduce you as my friend... but I'm not sure they will believe that now!" She said laughing again as she handed Callie a towel.

"Holy crap! Your mum literally saw me naked. I am never going to recover from this! Do you hear me?" Callie said still in a panic as she took the towel from Arizona "I need to leave...leave Deal...London...fuck the UK!" Callie said partly serious.

She looked over at Arizona for a few moments before both burst into a fit of giggles.

Meanwhile downstairs a shocked Jan Robbins found her husband in the kitchen making coffee.

"Did you find her?" He asked

"Oh I found her alright!" His wife responded in a serious tone.

"Let me guess...fast asleep" David replied

"Nope!" Arizona's mum answered "definitely not asleep. She was errr in the shower. I walked in on her in the shower!" Jan explained to her husband.

"Whoops...well she is your daughter, it's nothing you haven't seen before!" The man said as he pushed down the French press for the coffee he was making.

"David...she wasn't alone!" Jan explained.

"Oh she wasn't!" David said smiling at the scene of his wife busting his daughter. He started to chuckle to himself causing the older blonde to smile as she shook her head.

"I told you we should have called" he laughed as she pulled his wife towards him to give her a supportive hug.

"I know..." Jan replied "but I wanted to surprise her"

David burst into laughter again "well you certainly did that!" He added causing his wife to start laughing herself.

"Oh David She's going to kill me isn't she?" Jan said worriedly

"Probably." David replied matter of factly "did you ummm see who it was?" He asked interested to hear that his daughter seemed to be back dating.

Mrs Robbins had a flash back to the image she had walked in on "oh yeah...I saw her...ALL of her" she said her eyes wide in horror and she looked at her husband "David...it was Callie Torres"

"What?" He replied in shock at the news

"I know. I caught our daughter in the shower with World Cup winner, American superstar Callie Torres!" Jan rolled her eyes to the skies.

"Ohhh well this is exciting...I didn't know she was gay" David said as he handed his wife a cup of coffee.

"Neither did I" Jan replied "and also...do you think its's allowed?" She asked with concern "you know at the club...with their positions and everything?"

David thought for a moment "well Arizona is sensible love, she wouldn't do anything to jeopardise her career."

"No.I suppose not" Jan shook her head again "oh god David...what on earth am I going to say when they come down?"

David chuckled again "come on Jan, it'll be OK...I'm sure we'll be laughing about it in no time at all!"

Arizona got dressed and headed downstairs to speak to her parents leaving a still freaking out Callie to finish getting ready.

As Arizona came down the stairs she found her mum and dad sitting in the kitchen drinking coffee as if nothing had happened.

Jan stood up as she saw her daughter walk into the kitchen.

"Oh darling...I am SO sorry!" She said as she walked over and pulled the blonde into a hug.

"Mum what were you thinking barging in like that!" Arizona said as she hugged her mum back. She was angry for what had happened, but she was still pleased to see her parents again.

"Well how was I to know you would be...you know...up to something...you should have locked to door!" Jan replied.

Arizona pulled away from the hug in disbelief "lock the door in my own house when no one else is there?" She asked shaking her head at the suggestion. "Mum!" She said exasperated

"I did knock!" Jan pleaded in her defence as she watched her daughter walk over and give her father a hug.

"Just not loud enough clearly!" Arizona responded over her shoulder. Arizona saw how embarrassed her mum was at what had just happened and couldn't help the small smile that started to form on her mouth.

"I did try and tell her to call before we came over" David said smiling at his daughter "but you know what's she like..."

Arizona chuckled "I know...she wanted to surprise me!"

Arizona turned back to face her mum who was obviously worried about how her daughter was going to react.

"Darling I am truly sorry" she said holding her hand out in peace.

Arizona sighed figuring what was done was done "I know mum..." she said as she walked back over and took the older blondes hand "I'm just not sure my umm friend is ever going to recover from it and leave the room!" Arizona said kicking herself for calling Callie her friend. This was NOT how she envisioned introducing her parents to the American.

"Oh no!" Mrs Robbins said feeling bad "should I go up and speak to her?" She offered

"NO! God no!" Arizona replied in horror at the thought "I'll go up and see how's she's doing."

David handed Arizona a mug "here why don't you take Callie up a cup of coffee." A smirk forming on his face as he waited for his daughters reaction to them knowing who was upstairs.

Shit so her mum had recognised Callie despite her being butt naked and pushed up against the shower cubicle. She felt her cheeks blush slightly and accepted the mug from her dad.

"Thanks Dad. And before you say anything mum...It's early OK...we're still getting to know each other...but she makes me happy and yes...I like her a lot...so please be cool with this." Arizona addressed both her parents

"Let me go check on her and try and convince her to leave the room!" The blonde said as she headed out the kitchen and back up stairs.

Jan turned to her husband and smiled "did you hear that...she likes her."

"A lot!" David smiled back at his wife. It was a relief to see his daughter happy again.

Can you imagine this happening? I would literally die! Anyway, I thought it was a fun story line. There are some bigger things coming their way and they will be tested over the next few chapters, but thanks again for sticking with the story.

Take care. S x
