Yes, I am back and alive. Sorry about the super long wait, I was just not feeling inspired at all so that meant a long wait. I am going to quickly explain to you what is going to happen with the rest of my fics. If you don't read any of the other stuff I have read you can ignore this.

I am going to finish this within the next two weeks! Yipee! I have loved doing this and this will alway be my first fanfic.

I am going to be posting a one shot for Of Mice and men very soon. The only reason I wrote this was for school.

Sadly I think I am going to abandon my fic, Here we go again in favour of a fic I am co writing. No details at this time, sorry.

Control of Power, after I finish this, will be my top priority. Look for an update by Mid May. I know it is a long time but I want to be able to write a lot of chapters so that we don't have this long wait time again.

Possible projects include Avengers/Harry Potter fic, a PJO/Avengers Fic a Avengers/PJO fic, or a Star Wars crossover. I have no plans yet and probably won't release anything until summer.

Sorry for the incredibly long wait but please enjoy!

Chapter 16

Two of the most powerful beings on Earth were currently sitting in a dark room. The silence was overwhelming, but neither of them made a move to talk.

"What do you want, Erebus?"

The primordial sat silently, contemplating what his next move would be. Finally he shifted forward, bracing his elbows on his knees and stared at Percy.

"I wanted to make you my champion," he said without fanfare.

Percy stood abruptly.

"No," he said, beginning to pace the room. "I don't want more power! I have enough, I have had enough. I have seen enough. Does anyone in this damn universe understand this."

Erebus started to chuckle slightly. "OH but Persus, you see THIS is why you are to be my champion. You don't want the power, therefore you are the only person who can wield it."

Percy looked away, knowing deep down that he was right. He battled within himself for a few moments before a winner was declared.

"What are the powers, the side effects?"

"Well, this is where things get fun, you will have unrivaled control over the darkness, Hades Helm will look like a child's toy compared to your powers. You will have command over the darkest of creatures, some you have never even met."

Percy considered this, he was mentally running through the advantages but he could tell something was off.

"What's the catch?"

"Ah, you are intelligent, I thought that the brains were your wife's job. No matter, my powers, when given out to my champion, work in a rather ironic way. The power loves darkness yes? So it is only natural that they would bring the darkest aspects of the person to the forefront."

Percy let his words sink in before the fear began to creep in. His mind was assaulted by the many times he had almost lost it, the time he was inches from falling off the cliff. He remembers most vividly the time when he made Misery miserable. He remembers the look on Annabeth's face, the loo of shear and total fear. Then a new part of the memory takes over, the part he had worked so hard to suppress. The twisted joy, the satisfaction at the power that had flowed through his veins. The sense of realization that the gods should fear HIM not the other way around.

He began to laugh, an evil laugh that should never have come out his mouth.

"You think," he said, his voice dark. "You think the darkness is not already at the forefront? Do you not understand, this war isn't a child's revenge. This is a conquest of power. I have simply been biding my time, waiting for the moment where I am strong and he is weak. I already surpass him in power but I want to see his face when he realizes his mistake of letting me live."

Erebus's face broke into an evil smirk.

"Are you prepared?"

"Of course."

Third Person POV

Poseidon and the children of Percy were relaxing on a beach, practicing their powers.

"You have grown young ones," he said his voice filled with pride. "I believe you are ready for the coming conflict."

"We have been ready for years," Austin said, his face proud. "Dad has been binge training with us for years, 'making up for lost time' he said." His voice turned bitter at the end.

"Don't blame dad," Poly said. "Yes he left but he was pushed over the edge, his PTSD flared up worse than we could ever imagine."

Austin looked at his sister, knowing she was right, but didn't say anything. Instead he turned back to the large body of water before them and started to focus. Soon the whole ocean was swirling into a massive hurricane, Austin in the center. He was about to start moving it to battle Poly's personal hurricane when a wave of evil power came through the room. Both dropped the control as Poseidon shivered in horor.

He knew whose power that was and the fact that it felt familiar could only mean one thing.

"What WAS that," Poly asked.

"I have an idea but it is not good,"Poseidon said solemnly.

The group rushed through the door from the beach room into the rest of the pasted people preparing for war, getting back on their feet as they were knocked over by the blast. About halfway to the meeting room they were joined by Athena and Annabeth, both rushing to the source. After a few minutes of running the group stood in front of a pair of blood red crystal doors. The normally all red doors now had black tendrils climbing their way up them like poisonous vines. With careful hands, Poseidon pushed over the doors.

The sight that they saw, made them want to cower behind anything they could find. Percy had changed, again. He now stood 6' 5". His tan skin looked like it was blackened with ash on their fingertips. His black hair now looked like an abyss. He was radiating power, more so than before. But that wasn't what made five immortals cower in fear, it was his fave. His normal kind sea green eyes now had a tinge of black around them and reeked of sheer darkness. His face which was normally in a lopsided grin was an evil smirk.

"Percy," Annabeth said, her voice barely above the whisper. "What did you do?"

Percy chuckled at this question, his power rolling off him in waves.

"I have become more powerful than any being has ever been before, I am the darkness now. I am destruction. I am the earth, the tide and time itself. I am more than anyone had ever been."

Then he walked towards them. They instantly parted for him as a cloak of sheer blackness materialized on him. His clothes turned into black armour and a crown similar to Hades Helm appeared on his head. After he disappeared from view of the group, how voice was heard reverberating throughout the castle.

"All preparations shall conclude in the next hour. Everyone will be in the front grounds within the next 30 minutes so armour, weapons and other needs can be distributed throughout the volunteers. Those who have chosen not to fight please finish you jobs then make your way to your quarters for the next hour. Those who are helping directly with war materials distribution please be on the fields with your teams in the next 15 minutes. All former Olympians or those who were a part of the 7 please meet me at the field immediately. You will be receiving instruction there. Be warned, after we march on Olympus today, nothing will ever be the same."

Annabeth and the others all shivered at the words as the rest of the castle erupted in renewed chaos. People rushed in and out of rooms, hauling swords, axes, quivers full with arrows and accompanying bows. Armor was hauled into golf cart-like vehicles. Those who were gods made their way to the front yards the fastest by flashing there.

When they arrived they saw a single figure, dressed head to toe in black.

"You would make my father proud with your outfit,'' Nico quipped.

Percy let out a dry laugh as he faced his cousin.

"I try," he said.

Then he faced the rest that had gathered there.

" Today, is the day we take Olympus but I wanted to talk things over with you first. We will be following the plans laid out by Athena. Athena will be returning back to Olympus under the disques as a spy, trying to atone for you 'mistakes'. I need you to leave now and warn them of our coming. If theydon;t believe you and refuse to let you speak then that is their own fault. It is time for part two of 77 Valdez."

Athena smirked as she flashed away, making her way to Olympus.

"Now for the rest of the plan, Annabeth you will be leading the command tent with your mother, making sure everyone knows what to do and when to do it. You can go now and prepare the plans."

With that, she also flashed away but to the command room in the castle and started gathering the best strategist and their plans.

"For the rest of you, I need you to cause a distraction. You will be in charge of leading the front against the demi-god army they have undoubtedly amassed despite our best efforts. You will burn all the buildings that are not the ones you used to own or have use of, otherwise the next time I see it it should be in ashes. Keep the younger soldiers from killing as much as possible and hold back slightly, we want to tire them out so that the remaining Olympians are alone. That is where I will be. Athena will be with me in the beginning but after that I will be on my own. Please try to complete your tasks quickly but I will most likely not need the help. Now go and prepare, we have an army to assemble."

Soon, hundreds were flooding onto the fields. Lines of tents had been set up as people went to echo one to collect the needed was a giant stage where Percy and the Ex-Olympians Stood, looking imposing in the red tinged light. After 25 minutes of finding the right sized armour, putting it on and gathering in front of the stage with weapons in hand, the army was assembled.

"Very well everybody, our exercise and training have paid off in more ways than you will ever know. It is no time to march on Olympus!"

With that, Percy raised Riptide and the crowd started to roar. The ground began to shake as the thousands of people began to stomp their feet. Percy then pointed his sword to a place in the distance as a portal opened up above them. An elevator , similar to that connecting the doors of death, formed. The elevator was massive, capable of fitting over one hundred people on it at a time.

"You will now sort into your groups. We will be starting with group one, then two and so on. All with an affinity to Pegasus please see the Posedo tent so that we can assign one to you at this time. If you go you will be a part of group 50. Group one, proceed to land."

With that, hundreds of demi-gods made their way towards the door. Group One consisted of mostly Zeus kids and were led by Jason. After they were in the elevator Percy called for group 2 to come forward and prepare themselves. The loading went like this for about an hour until everyone had been loaded on the elevator. Those remaining flashed up to where the elevator was unloading.

"Those who can fly, by pegasus or other, take to the skys now, stay low and surround Olympus. Everyone else, into Manhattan."

The demigod army marched from the abandoned building they were currently occupying and began to march into the streets.

After about 15 minutes of walking, half of the group had assembled in front of the empire state building. Those who could manipulate the mist were keeping everyone away from the building while they assembled there.

"I am going up first," Percy told Poseidon. "I want you with me but please go to your group the minute Athena gets away, deal?"

Poseidon nodded in consent. Percy relaxed slightly as they made their way into the elevator.

*AN: THIS IS AN EDITED VERSION OF THE END OF CHAPTER 4, I AM GOING BACK TO FIX THAT ONE, SO EXCEPT THIS ONE AS THE REAL ONE PLEASE*

The remaining Olympians, Zues, Hera, Athena, Artemis, Aphrodite, Demeter, and Hermes, were in the middle of a meeting discussing a very serious matter, the missing demigods.

"Thousands of our children have been taken over the years. We have a small army now. We have only been allowed to keep the children that we have had over the last 50 years. We have given them all blessings as we know a war is coming but we know not when. At this point we have a small army," Demeter said.

Everyone shared an apprehensive look, all turning towards Athena. They all knew she had betrayed them but she had come wanting forgiveness. She showed a brand on her arm that forced her to comply with the wishes of Persus, and had only just managed to break free of the bondage. Some had accepted this while others were more skeptical. In the end they decided to welcome her to the meeting but not allow her to speak, fearing she may be a spy sent to sow discord among the group.

"We need to find them." Everyone turned to look at Hermes, who stated this obvious fact.

"Your right," a voice said. "You need to find your missing demi-gods before it's too late."

"But I am sorry to say that you are in fact too late," a different voice said.

The Olympians looked around in a panic. Who was this voice and how could they hear what they were saying? Athena began to relax, knowing what was about to happen. It had been five hundred years and plan Valdez 77 would finally be completed.

As soon as the voice had sounded two figures walked through the door. Athena hopped out of her seat eager to begin her duties for Percy. She walked to the door and walked out with the second figure.

Percy smiled calmly knowing that the world was about to come down around the people he was standing in front of. At once all of the gods pulled out their desired weapon and fired at Percy. Expecting him to be dead within a matter of seconds, they were all surprised when a shield of darkness came up around him. The shield surrounded him and absorbed all of the attacks , only making it stronger. After the attacks stopped, he lowered the shield. An evil smile graced his face.

"I believe it is time for a new king."
