2035` - August

Izuku doesn't get mad very often. When it happens, it's like a rare occurrence, like an earthquake or a tsunami.

Right now Izuku is at his agency, furiously tapping away at his phone. He's formulating long, angry texts, then deleting them before hitting send. He takes deep breaths to calm himself down, but all is in vain.

Mahoro and Kota are looking at their boss warily, trying not to stare too much, while simultaneously curious as to the cause of this unusual behaviour.

Izuku was known to be calm, and level headed. He was a kind and compassionate person, and all his employees enjoyed working for him.

He had started a manga agency shortly after his accident. He came up with the stories and he had people who would do the artwork and animation for him. The manga would be published first, and depending on the response they got from the public, they would then decide whether to animate it or not.

Right now Izuku had an excitement in his body that was similar to the nerves he felt when he had a hero mission, which was all the more strange considering the hero agency was quiet today as there had been no sign of Bakugo in the building.

The anime corp was located right above Izuku and Katsuki's hero agency, which made for a very chaotic work environment on most days, but the employees knew beforehand where and how they would be working, and they mostly enjoyed this atmosphere.

Mahoro had noticed a nervous Shoto Todoroki waiting by her desk at the reception when she arrived at work in the morning. He had a letter in his hand, which he said was for Izuku, and it was necessary that he delivered it to the recipient himself.

Mahoro knew that Shoto and Izuku were best friends but she was reluctant to escort the former into the office without an appointment. Kota and Izuku were currently working on the third movie of My Hero Academia and she didn't want to interrupt them.

"You can leave the letter here, I will make sure he gets it as soon as he is finished working."

Shoto sighed exasperatedly, "I wouldn't have asked to hand deliver it if it hadn't been so important."

Mahoro was annoyed that he wouldn't trust her enough to simply leave the letter here, considering that she had been working for Izuku for a while now, and they had sort of known each other since she was a kid. She replied in a snippy tone, "If it was so important, you should've made an appointment."

"Excuse me?" Shoto simply stared at her..

She returned his stare, "Did I stutter?"

She knew he was the number 2 hero, right after Bakugo, but that doesn't mean he gets a free pass to just barge into her workplace.

"Call him then." Shoto said calmly. He knew enough about her to know that she could be really difficult if she wanted to make somebody miserable.

She continued to glare at him condescendingly, "No, I am not going to disturb my boss while he's working."

He groaned in frustration, "What would you do if it was an emergency!?"

She retorted, "I know what an emergency looks like."

"Oh yeah? If you did, you would let me see Midoriya."

"Wanting to hand deliver one stupid letter, and forgetting to make an appointment in advance is not an emergency, it's carelessness." She smirked at the man in front of her, taking amusement in his frustration.

"This is ridiculous…" Shoto muttered, giving Mahoro a loathsome stare. Then casting a quick glance behind her into the hallway.

He quickly went over the map of the floor in his mind. He knew that he was definitely faster than Mahoro. He could make it to Izuku's office in no time. He just had to forget his manners and go for it. She couldn't really stop him even if she tried.

While Shoto was thinking of the best way to get past Mahoro, she was considering going easy on him. He was pouting cutely like a child that had been refused a cookie and was now sulking in a corner.

She then smiled at him. A real, genuine smile. "I'll make a call for you…"

He blinked at her. Surely, he hadn't heard him correctly, this was a joke.

He was even more surprised when she actually picked up the phone and called Izuku.

"Hello...Yes, sir… No, I know you asked not to be disturbed… It's your friend, Shoto Todoroki… He says he wants to hand deliver a letter, and that it's very urgent…" She caught Shoto's eye and shook her head, apparently his best friend was a moron who was too busy to see him.

Shoto simply couldn't take it anymore. He grabbed the receiver out of Mahoro's hand, earning an indignant "Hey!" from the girl, and took over the conversation.

"Listen up, Midoriya. I have something for you and I think it's best if you looked at it right away… No! We don't have time! Yes, it really is important!" Shoto Todoroki snaps, and hangs up.

With that he rushes past Mahoro, towards Izuku's office. The girl gapes at him, then catches herself and runs after him.

"Where do you think you're going!?"

"Where do you think I'm going!?" He answers in annoyance, looking at her over his shoulder, not slowing down.

"Look, I don't know who you think you are, but it's terribly rude to just barge into somebody's office like that!" She says angrily, struggling to keep up with his pace.

Shoto sighed, slowing down so that she could catch up with him. "I know and I am sorry for my behaviour earlier… But it really is important, and besides, Izuku is not just somebody, he's my best friend, and I think at least I should get a free pass to see him, taking into account that it's urgent, and necessary."

They reach Izuku's office and Mahoro finds herself nodding in understanding, "That makes sense I guess…"

Shoto opens the door to Izuku's office and finds him in a deep conversation with Kota. They were quite close now, which wasn't too surprising even though Kota had been a brat when Izuku first met him. Izuku had a way of getting to people, and connecting with them, and Kota had developed into a fine young man himself.

They looked up at the interruption from a sketch that they were pondering over on Izuku's desk. Kota with a frown on his face, and Izuku with a grin.

"To what do I owe this unexpected pleasure?" Izuku asked Shoto who was walking towards him with a blank, white envelope.

"What is that?" He asked, looking at the envelope.

Shoto handed him the letter and replied grumpily, "What do you think it is? It's a letter."

"Thanks." Izuku replied, voice mellow and proceeded to take the letter out and read it.

Shoto then started complaining to Izuku about his staff.

"By the way, Midoriya… I think it's absolutely essential that you reconsider the employment of Mahoro Shimano."

Mahoro gaped at Shoto. The nerve of this man!

"What!?" She replied angrily who only stared back at her coolly.

"You're a nuisance." He said, keeping his voice and demeanor calm. Meanwhile Kota's eyes darted between them curiously.

The two were still bickering, with Kota as their sole audience when suddenly they were interrupted by a loud bang.

That was the sound of Izuku slamming his hand on his desk.

He glared angrily at the wedding band on his left ring finger, half tempted to find his husband and punch him in the face so that it would leave a mark. The sadistic thought brought him quite a bit of satisfaction, he wouldn't lie, but to put that thought into action, he would have to find Bakugo first.

Shoto only gave Izuku a knowing look while his two employees stared at their boss in shock, their boss who never lost his cool, even when everything was going to hell.

Mahoro's curiosity and annoyance towards Shoto Todoroki was through the roof. Everything was going fine today, the day was pretty great actually, then he had come in, disrespected her, and sent her boss into a frenzy.

Izuku was now busy dialling Bakugo's phone number. He wanted to give the boy a piece of his mind.

Shoto understood what was happening without having to look at Izuku's phone. He sighed.

"That's not going to work."

Mahoro glared at him questioningly, "What's not going to work? What's going on?"

Shoto simply ignored her, still looking at his best friend, who was groaning in frustration, holding the phone close to his ear.

Of course, it was not going to work. If Katsuki had actually managed to go back in time as his letter suggested, there was no way a mere phone call was going to connect to his cell phone, all the way to the past.

Izuku wordlessly detached the phone from his ear. Stared angrily at it for a couple moments, then slammed the phone onto his desk. Mind you, some of his quirk still ran through his body, and he ended up splitting the desk into two.

Mahoro only stared at the scene in horror, while Shoto quickly reacted to the situation. He kicked the remnants of the desk away from Izuku, while Kota saved his boss from the wreckage, by grabbing the controls of his wheelchair and operating them. Izuku was apparently too angry to even comprehend what was happening and what he had done.

"I get it. I know you're angry." Shoto placed a hand on his shoulder, trying to comfort him. "It probably wasn't the smartest thing he's ever done."

"Probably?" Izuku spat, seething in anger. He fixed his stare on Shoto. "We shouldn't meddle with the past, it never ends well. What was he thinking!?"

"He loves you, he was only thinking about saving you…"

"No, he wasn't thinking at all!" Izuku snapped. "And is it true that he can't come back himself!?"

Shoto avoided Izuku's gaze, looking at the floor sheepishly, "Yeah…"

"Dear God…" Izuku muttered to himself. "Stupid, oh so, so stupid."

"What's happening?" Kota finally decided to ask. It was awkward to just stand there, and not have a single clue about what was going on.

"I'm sorry Kota." Izuku replied wearily. "I'm going to have to ask you and Mahoro to leave us alone for a while. You can both use this time for a break… and Kota you can think about what we discussed… I'll buzz you if I need you."

"Sure…" Kota responded, grabbing Mahoro's arm and leading her outside, she had just about turned into a fool, still standing by the door, unmoving.

After the two had lef and the door to Izuku's office was firmly shut. "Bakugo wanted me to give you this…" Shoto held out a small wristwatch towards Izuku. It looked like a meek ordinary thing.

"What is that?" Izuku questioned, taking the watch and staring at it suspiciously.

"This is an updated version of the watch he used for time travelling. Mei just finished working on it. It works both ways. It can send you to the past, and bring you back…"

Izuku thoughtfully turned the watch over in his hands. "And may I ask why my husband did not bother to use this one instead?"

"Well, he was in a hurry." Izuku glared at Shoto. "You've only been giving me dirty looks today…"

"As you can see, I am overjoyed by the spectacular news you've brought me. I'm so ecstatic that I'm physically incapable of looking at you in any other way at the moment."

"Fair enough." Shoto mumbled. His eyes wandered around Izuku's office. The setting of the place always amazed him, no matter how many times he looked at it. The boy had great taste. Yes, there was a small shrine dedicated to All Might in the office, but it fit so perfectly with the rest of the place. The wallpapers and the furniture were painted in vibrant colours, and the huge window in front of the space where Izuku's desk should've been helped make the office more lively. His eyes then landed on a photo of both Izuku and Bakugo on the coffee table, it seemed to have been taken when they went on that trip last year. Izuku was grinning very wide, his bunny teeth on full display, while Bakugo was hugging him and gazing at Izuku in adoration. It was rare to see Bakugo like that. Rarer after Izuku's accident, but Shoto didn't want to allow himself to think about that right now.

He looked at Izuku again then. His eyes were fixed on the same picture Shoto was looking at. The tenderness with which he was looking at Bakugo was causing Shoto's chest to tighten so he forced himself to break the silence.

"Bakugo wanted you to follow him back."

"What?" Izuku looked at Shoto, eyes widening in disbelief.

"Yeah…" Shoto smiled lopsidedly. "He knew that there was no way you would agree to go with him, so he went first by himself, even though Mei warned him that he wouldn't be able to return on his own. You know what he said?"

"What?" Izuku said once again, dumbfounded.

"He said "don't worry, my husband loves me too much, he'll come for me, I'm sure"." Shoto then pretended to gag at the cheesy line. "He doesn't want to do it alone, and he knew that you wouldn't approve, so…"

"So now you're suggesting that I follow the dumbass back into the past?"

Shoto shook his head, chuckling, "I'm not suggesting anything… Do whatever you feel is best. You now have the way of going back and bringing the hotheaded bastard home, so… It really is up to you."

Izuku pondered over this for a moment. It was terrible how predictable he had become, Bakugo knew him too well. Yes, there was no way Izuku would ever have considered time travel if Bakugo had asked him too. In fact if he had known what Bakugo was planning, he would've done his best to stop him.

He securely clasped the watch onto his wrist, making Shoto grin. He was ready to go back…
