A/N Sorry about the short chapter late last night, I was trying to just pump something out before my computer died. I tried to make up with a little bit longer chapter. Anyway, I'll get right on to it. I think I have some ideas about how I'm going to handle the end with Jesse that might make some of you a little upset, but I promise just hang in there and you'll be back on board. Thank you all again for reading, and since I am jumping back into this after over a year of absence, please please please review! It's the reviews that keep me going! As said before, I own none of these characters, songs, whatevs. Thanks!

Bella Rehearsals

Chloe was absolutely exhausted. Between personal training with Aubrey, daily Bella rehearsals, and nightly rendezvous with Beca, Chloe was left with very little time to herself. Not that she was complaining. She always kept herself fit, absolutely loved practicing with the girls, and while they hadn't gotten a chance to be as intimate as they were on that night, things with Beca felt amazing. She was just shocked that Aubrey hadn't noticed anything at this point. But Bree was in her own world. Chloe could see how difficult it was for her to hand the reigns over to Beca.

In fact, she felt a little guilty for not being there for her as much as she probably should have been. The Bella's were doing great though, and with each passing rehearsal, Aubrey was getting more comfortable with being a part of the team again, instead of the ring leader.

Competition was right around the corner, but for once in their brief existence, the new Bella's were actually on point. Beca had come up with the most amazing mash up and choreography that really showcased all of the girls' talents. There was a new sense of unity among the group, and it really showed.

It was one of their last rehearsals, but it was also a special night for Beca and Chloe. Beca had dropped the hint that Kimmy-Jin would be over a friend's place tonight for a last minute study sesh. That meant Beca had the whole room to herself for the night. Chloe was quick to jump on that opportunity. They hadn't been able to have an entire night to themselves again. Since the night of the Bella reunion, they've only been able to get away with make out sessions in the abandoned pool. Beca seemed very eager for the night and Chloe had been thinking about it nonstop during rehearsal, her eyes finding Beca's often, causing them both to turn a scarlet red.

It was a miracle that no one had discovered their affair yet. Aubrey knew Chloe so well, and Fat Amy was incredibly observant. It's not that they were ashamed of each other or anything. They just still hadn't talked about what was actually going on, and with the most important competition of their lives coming up, they couldn't risk anything that would ruin the still new flow of their team.

Speaking of flow, Chloe had noticed that Aubrey seemed a little off her game tonight, completely uncharacteristic of her. As the Bellas began to file out, Chloe could see Beca hanging back near the door. Aubrey had slowly started to clean up and Chloe hesitated for a second before waving Beca on. They had the whole night together, Chloe could spare some time for her best friend. Chloe began to help Aubrey clean, waiting for the girl to speak.

After a few minutes of silence, Aubrey began to talk. "I'm just so nervous Chloe, I mean the Bellas have never been better. We didn't even work this well together when Alice was in charge. I mean if we mess this up, then that's it. We can't recover. And then the past four years here have been a waste. I can't fail the Bellas, Chlo, I just can't" Aubrey had stopped cleaning and was close to tears.

Chloe immediately wrapped her arms around her friend and tried to comfort her. "Hey now, we're gonna be fantastic. You know that. I mean, we've always worked hard, but now we're passionate too. We've got every girl to be in a part of this. There's no way we can lose. And even if we do, we've come farther as a team than any other group. No matter what happens, you should be proud of our girls, and proud of yourself. And I know your dad would be proud of you too"

At that last comment, Aubrey pulled herself out of the embrace and went to straighten her hair. "God, you're so right Chloe. That means so much to me to hear you say that." Aubrey gave her one last hug before composing herself. "Alright, I think I'm going to head to the gym to help clear my head before heading to bed." She gathered her things before giving Chloe a sly look. "Are you seeing Beca tonight?"

"Yeah, her roommate's gone for the night so we finally have the place to ourse-" All of a sudden, Bree's words registered in Chloe's mind, and she gave Bree a surprised look. "Wait, how did you…"

Aubrey rolled her eyes and scoffed. "Oh please Chloe, I've known you for years, you guys can't keep your eyes off each other during rehearsal, then you both leave together and don't return until well after midnight. Plus, I don't think I've ever seen you turn the same color as your hair. Just like now" Aubrey pointed out Chloe's now bright red cheeks and giggled. "But I didn't really know until Fat Amy pointed it out one day. That girl is crazy observant." Chloe groaned a bit, worried about the integrity of the team. Aubrey was quick to quell her fears. "Don't worry, I managed to convince her to keep her big mouth shut until after competition."

Chloe breathed a sigh of relief. "I'm really sorry I didn't tell you, Bree. I just, I don't know where we're going with this yet, and I know how stressed you are…"

Bree shook her head. "I totally understand. And honestly I'm just glad to see you so happy. Just…" Aubrey hesitated. "Just be careful. I mean, we can all see how much Jesse likes her. I don't want to see you get hurt."

Chloe had almost forgotten about her romantic rival, lost in her own romantic bliss. Chloe nodded, sure that she could handle the kind of heartbreak this might bring. They both left, with Aubrey heading to the gym and Chloe going to get ready for her night.
